My opinion on why I ship

Silent Salt Cookie x Mystic Flour Cookie

》 I'm not the type to like shipping my own hear me outs with another character, only if I found it weird if they were shipped with my sona..《

To be honest, its just a simple silent salt cookie obsession I got when I first play Crk. I found it stupid that I already liked him after I found out like damnit 3 weeks ago..💔💔

In my own sake, he's going to be a man. I don't care of y'all pointing out that Silent salt if a woman or sum, gender doesn't matter first buddy.

I never meant to ship Silent salt with anyone else but I generally don't get it how peoppe shipped him with Shadow milk or Eternal Sugar. So I started my own canon x canon ship to ATLEAST cool me off.

The very first thing I noticed about them that they mostly prefer silence, seems like listeners to me. Especially how Mystic Flour is formerly have those soothing tone that I love the most, about Silent salt.. Imma assume he's mostly gonna say "..." in every conversation he got with another cookie.

The ship reminded me of Chess, a popular board game that is in my favourite list of myself. Mystic flour cookie being white and very innocent like hides a darkish secret behind her; meanwhile Silent salt cookie being black and seems dangerous but maybe, (just maybe) he have his own softer side of him.

Their relationship might just be a normal "Aroace" love or smth, I don't want to make them to like being possessive towards the other one or just more worse. I would LOVE if Silent salt being the protective from the outside but Mystic flour is SECRETLY the protective one from the inside. (She'll give you death glare, I swear)

Of course, Silent salt is the tall, muscular man and Mystic flour are the slightly shorter, chubby woman. (I LOVVE drawing women chubby, theyre cute for me. Silent salt getting free love-handles😍😍😍)

But I want to make a small plot twist, how about Mystic flour being the top woman and Silent salt is the bottom man here. I never really see much the dream guy getting protected by the chubby woman.. (To be honest, I'm not gonna draw Mystic flour being too chubby or smth, js gonna make her slightly thicker idk)

Silent salt seems like the person who only just giving warnings and threats, but he won't kill you. Mystic flour will ABSOLUTELY kill ANYONE who dare to do something weird to Silent salt. Hehahahh... protective wife over husband...

They basically started this "love" when they became close companions, though they doesn't show this emotionally nor verbally. Commonly either physically (light romantic) or mentally (for atleast to explain this idk)

I imagine Silent salt have scars on his face so that's why he wears a helmet to hide his true identity, (soldiers fhogjjns....). And since Mystic flour is a healer, she's there to cure any injuries that Silent salt received more.

Now, comes to the reason why I despise the other ship that were made with him.. Sorry to sound rude, it's basically who I am. I'll absolutely despises any ship that targetted towards my own favourite hear me outs, its stupid I know. And even if its canon x canon, I don't like it. It doesnt fit the taste of mine. Even this current topic I'm talking about, I don't fully support them being together; I made it just for fun.

Though I have to admit, Shadow Milk Cookie shipped with Silent Salt Cookie? No thanks. If he got shipped with others like Eternal Sugar Cookie or White Lily Cookie, I don't mind it. Kinda understandable but mostly to a no for me.

I'm a simper for Silent Salt Cookie yes. Have a thought to make a Crk oc but I have like 2 oc x canon on different fandoms so i decided to try and fit in with Canon x canon.

I like rarepair and SilentShadow is NOT rarepair, they're too overated and nonsense. Also can we normalized straight ships instead of dick x dick or boobs x boobs? I know I'm those yaoi and yuri biggest fan but now it doesn't seem like it.

im gonna be so honest w u i rlly dont know much abt it😅 if u saw me rummaging around ur clochepel tag that was me trying to refresh my memory on their relationship. hnstly tho, that js mostly got me hooked on ur occult au, but that’s a diff topic—

siiigh, js thinking about how cloche n epel both developed their infatuations mainly off of projecting an image onto the ones they're taken with. siiigh, thinking of how they both end up eventually getting their delusions shattered. siiigh. ClochEpel rlly is one of the slowburn of slowburns, i think. n as much as i lowk love cloche, idk what epel's built out of to be able to withstand the humanized ver of katy perry's Hot N Cold(except it's more like Lukewarm N Cold). from the tidbits ive seen of them, though, cloche does seem almost more comfortable? receptive? towards him than most. found the ship analysis(YIPEEE) n it kinda confirmed my thoughts that cloche accepted him partially bc she found him beneficial to some degree. epel does seem to have a bit of a hero complex, w most of his image of her stemming from him thinking 'damn, she's js like me fr,' n so i do sorta find the same kinda parasocial aspects as RookLoche (esp since cloche acts a bit impassive towards him n despite that he still holds feelings for her) except they're projecting different people. n look, a part of me pities epel but then there another part of me that begs the question of what he was thinking? i get that he's young n naive n has a crush on her, but from what i've seen she warned him of what'd happen n he still pursued her after rejection. sad lover/loserboy hours but also he kinda walked right into it, even with warning. srry if this comes across as harsh to epel, i js have personal beef w the notion of pursuing even after being told otherwise n that’s js kinda projecting onto epel now that im reading back😅 mb

I’m so sorry with how much you had to piece together considering how little I actually have of ClochEpel compared to the other ships 💀💀 Feeling even more guilty since this is the “lore” ship 😭😭 One day I might bring back the Occult/ClochEpel Horror AU (still lives rent free in my mind but I’m overwhelming myself with ideas now- anyways…)

Oh Epel… Pel-pel, Eppy… What would our boy be if not sorted into the dorm based on the Beautiful Queen’s tenacity? Though in regular, off-screen interactions, Cloche is simply indifferent and wouldn’t be as mean as she’s been shown— aLL THE FRESHMEN ARE WONDERING THE SAME EXACT THING (seniors too-). Epel is a force of nature, pure spite and grit stuffed into that lil body of his. When Epel gets into shit, he’ll stick to it— whether if it hurts him or not. It doesn’t matter, he will tough it out one way or another. Take Epel’s bet with Vil to be his “poison apple” for the VDC, or when Epel was given what was supposed to be an “impossible” task from Crewel in his lab vignette. In both situations, Epel was disadvantaged (collecting lanternblossom nectar that took 2-3 years to bloom or defeat a literal dorm leader), but he stuck to his guns with pride to see it through (whether he succeeded or failed but he worked his damn hardest). Even in Epel’s dorm vignette, he wasn’t exactly thrilled to decorate a blastcycle for Vil’s movie and had the first one rejected, but he redid it anyways. Time and time again, Epel’s been thrown into the mud yet he climbs right back up. Of the TWST cast, Epel might be the only one (in)sane enough to keep persevering even after Cloche’ constant rejections (red flag irl). You are on the mark about the projection part! Ultimately, Epel’s projection on to Cloche can extend to him wanting to break through her shell— (or at least he thinks Cloche isn’t as indifferent as she leads everyone else to believe she is). In that aspect, Epel had always been wild but had to reign himself now, whilst Cloche seemed to have never let loose before (or at least willingly).

Cloche’ reception towards Epel is veiled. The best example to encapsulate this is the valentines comic! Even though Cloche initially wanted to give Rook the chocolates and went to Epel to ask— she ultimately placed Epel’s wellbeing first. We’ve seen Cloche be ruthless before, she could have let Epel starve to keep searching, or tell him to leave and eat, but she didn’t. Epel’s function, as a love interest, is to pull Cloche down with him— to make her compromise, learn to cooperate with and care for others, and be grateful with what she has. As mature and put-together as Cloche tries to be, she does need to learn how to commit before searching for an easy way out. Though I’ve yet to show when Epel has had enough of Cloche’ games, it will be on her to take responsibility and mend their relationship again. This is why ClochEpel is the main story ship to me— Epel challenges Cloche in a way that forces her to grow. Does Cloche use Epel? Absolutely 💀— but in a way, her begrudging acceptances could be read in the lens of her using that manipulation as a front (Cloche can still be prideful in the wrong ways 💀 Say Cloche did develop feelings for Epel earlier, she’s still going to be in denial about it).

Ahhhh the bit about Cloche as Buffpel’s GF in the dream 💥💥 Yeah that’s still valid, I just never got through finishing the comic 💀 If I’m interpreting the question right, there’s no fantasy version of Cloche in Epel’s dream. The moment Cloche and Silver/Sebek/Grim/Ortho pop into the dream and bump into Epel— he just yoinks her right there and no shame. Insert the whole “I didn’t know you two were a thing” reactions.

Cloche’ dream falls somewhere closer to the end! I’ll have to check through the story again to find a specific segment. Ideally, I’d like all the freshmen to be gathered (as they’d be the most relevant to her), but the most important witnesses of the dream (besides Silver/Sebek/Ortho/Grim) would have to be ADeuce.

hello hello !!! hello new mods :3 i've finally come back to my roots and have come to write stuff about the band au !!! (its gonna be a huge block of text btw.... as always.... apologies.....)

SO I've finally come up with names for their band with the help of 🖤💙 anon !! (yes, ik them lol. they were the one that introduced me to this blog :3), and decided on "Forsaken Puppets" !! Uhh smth smth 'Puppets' is because they're kind of like puppets to the Spectre and yeah :3

Forsaken Puppets mostly plays electropunk songs !!! I've started to get into the genre recently, and js imagining scenarios of them playing it on stage is so good I need it injected in my veins NOWWWW

They also have a rival band !! It's called "BLACKLISTED" and it's composed of the killers :3 (a few of them, atleast) !! Idk how 🖤💙 came up with that name but I liked it so we kept it <3

TAPH !!! I forgot to talk about Taph back when I was assigning them roles bcs I didn't know him that well back then 🥀 anyway, he doesn't perform on stage (unfortunately), but he is their backstage technician !! In a way where he helps BM set up the stage for their performances, handles the effects, volume, etc. X3

I take back what I said before, 007n7 DOES know how to play the guitar, it's just that he avoids it because him and Noli used to play together and he doesn't want to go back to thinking of Noli out of fear that he'll fall back into his old habits of hacking because those are what his favorite memories of Noli are

c00lkidd isn't a part of the band, but he's a huge supporter of them !! He loves their songs and has recommended them to bluudud who says their music is trash but has been caught multiple times listening to their songs while streaming

Jason as their badass, introverted, stoic drummer <33 idk he js gives MAJOR "i hit things to relieve stress" vibes ngl... yes, the hockey mask stays ON during performances, and there have been crack rumors about him and Taph being the same person since they both haven't shown their faces in public </3

John Doe is uh. Idk what to do with him he has an entire corrupt code stalactite as one of his arms... Err he can be the scary bodyguard :3

NOLI !!! My pookie bear, my sweetheart, my babygirl, william afton, my star (get it) THE LOVE OF MY LIFE !!! I feel like he has that electric guitarist rizz ykwim... (Belated) Binderary Book 2024

My first year participating in Binderary and I'm 2/2 with my goals, albeit slightly late (even with the added leap day).

Goal No. 1: Bind a book!

This fic is an orphaned work, with no author available for me to reach out to. Convenient, since it was a last-minute decision.

Goal No. 2: Finish typesetting the fic that got me into this whole bookbinding/fanbinding hobby!

Bad Boys JEDI Style is a 217 chapter, 908k word "comedy of errors: in which our heroes are recruited to film a reality holo-drama". Much to my despair, the fic I loved had been deleted from every site it was uploaded to, and I was left kicking myself for not having downloaded a copy from AO3.

Shout out to Kam and Lofe, whose wonderful Binderary demos were put to use in the making of this book! Kam's French Double-Core endbands demo was super helpful, sizing up the 'textblock' and components made it easy to actually see what's happening with the sewing. Loffe's demo introduced me to the split-board binding technique and, sleep-deprived hiccup notwithstanding, I think I might find it easier then bradel style binding! Need to bind more books to know for sure (such a hardship 😔).

In other new-s, I took my dad's recent workshop baby for a spin. The bookbinding plough works like a dream! I tried a hidden fore-edge painting for the first time (just a solid colour), but the purple is lost under the Payne's Gray basecoat I applied to the silver painted edges. Adding ribbon to the cover was also new (mostly due to the fact that I never remember until the endpapers are already pasted down).

This is a Team Thunderclap!Ye Xiu AU, so the cover was based on Team Thunderclap's uniforms from the donghua (from the one screencap of the team I found, see below): purple across the shoulders and forearms of their jackets with a yellow stripe down the centre. I added silver ribbon as a nod to the white of the jackets as well as the grey gear of the team's logo. Also in reference to the title: yellow=sunlight, silver=moonlight.

Title Page

The title page stumped me for a while. While brainstorming title page design ideas, I thought about what the title means. In English it's poetic but nonsensical, so I wondered if maybe it held some meaning in Chinese?

As it turns out, it does. Kind of. Maybe. (If I stretch and reach for it, it makes sense). According to a quick search of one webpage for each query, "'White Moonlight' usually refers to a person or thing that is elusive in the heart, has always been loved, but cannot be touched" or "an 'unforgettable first love'." The sunbeam itself might be Ye Xiu, the figurative ray of light, the hero, the gaming idol. Or 'catching a sunbeam' could refer to how "sunflowers turn their heads to catch every sunbeam."

The potential meaning I have cobbled together is how Dai Yanqi turns Ye Xiu's head and captures his heart by sharing the (SanXiu-ified) story of Su Muqiu, the aforementioned white moonlight. Is this what the author intended? Who knows. But it does seem plausible enough to inspire me.

I ended up using both the idea of sunflowers and Thunderclap's uniforms (again). Lightning referencing the team's logo, and also the white colour of a flash of lightning which is kind of like moonlight. The logo's background is blue, as is the uniform as seen on the cover of the manhua featuring the captain Xiao Shiqin (see below), so I made the background blue-purple.

Endpapers

The (not-actually-)sunflowers carried over to the endpapers, as well as the grey colour from the gear in Thunderclap's logo.

Endbands

Kept these simple. A solid purple, as close as I could get to the bookcloth. I didn't want to draw attention away from the stripes on the covers or the silver edges.

Probably could've gone for thicker cores.

The text

For the scene breaks I used a special character of a gear. The cog also looks like a sun. Which is fun because it can reference Thunderclap, the title (sunbeam), and my design choice of sunflowers.

I reused the lightning image at 50% opacity as a background to set apart the backmatter.

The palace of illusions is mostly regarded as a heavily inaccurate retelling of the Mahabharata, tho I haven't read it myself. I think my friend @chaanv might shed more light to this matter than me XD.

If you wish to read a decent source on MB, I would suggest you to read Mahabharata unraveled by Ami Ganatra, or C. Rajagopalachari's Mahabharata, since they are pretty short and simple, so that you can understand the basic view of the story overall.

I personally prefer BORI CE Mahabharata, since it is very detailed and considered the most authentic translation of the Mahabharata, KMG Mahabharata comes a 2nd close to it. If you prefer reading in Hindi, check out Gita Press's works.

About my thoughts, as far as I have read, Draupadi never liked Karna in that way, and he certainly despised her a lot, but books like the one you mentioned....like to state otherwise.

Hiii! So...When I first visited your blog, I saw your synaesthesia blogs and I am very interested about it, I did a research like 3 years ago, but I just focused on the hearing-seeing and hearing-gustatory type, I choose to do it just to understand why most of my classmates (me inclused) agree that "A is red, E is yellow, I is green, O is blue and U is orange" and I was really intrigued because I also associate some sounds, mostly songs, as a pallette (?); relaxing and sad songs for me have a purple-ish pallette, and bright music have a yellow-ish pallette, but does not happen always for me, I am not diagnosed so I can't really say that I have synaesthesia.

So, if it is not rude for you, can you share how did you found that you have synaesthesia? I relate a lot how you see someone just by a color, but I cannot see the color myself.

first of all, i'm also curious to what u found out ab you and your classmates agreeing on certain colours for certain things! i think everyone has synaesthesia to some extent, because of the way our brains our wired to recognise patterns and repeating trends, so mass media has kinda had an effect in making people seeing smth and saying it "gives [insert colour] vibes... but this is normally js with like. anger, or sadness, or other things tht we've given characters over the years, so the letters as colours is really interesting.

(personally, my friends and i never agree on the colours of stuff so this is super cool to hear LMAO)

honestly i can't really remember how i found out about my synaesthesia... probably when i realised when it wasn't normal to see colours everywhere you go! like, literally, words have colour, numbers have colour, people have colour, and at some point i was probably told that seeing all these colours is Not something everyone sees.

So uh. Tears of the Kingdom, yeah? Just beat it.

Been playing it since release day, and religiously avoiding spoilers for exactly as long. There were a few slip-ups, but i was mostly blind.

I have never cried at a video game before. I don't cry a lot, period. It's something i trained out of myself and am trying to train back into. That said, the process js still early in development, so it takes a LOT to get it out of me.

This game is a lot.

It's so many things, and i'm not just talking about the content, or even the story.

I heard about Breath of the Wild in 2013, when it was announced. The hype was unreal, and i spent the years of delays and teasers waiting, as well as consuming as much theory content as i could find. The game came out, and finally stepping out of the shrine of resurrection felt unreal. It was as if i had veen waiting with Link, the whole time, to wake up. It was the game i had waited so long for, and it was finally, FINALLY here.

And then the sequel was announced.

The wait was the same; boring, frustrating, theory-filled, and exciting beyond anything. The game released, and i picked up my pre-ordered copy, hoping but not truly believing that the experience would be the same as before. My expectations were not met, but they were blown out of the water. Tears of the Kingdom feels like everything Breath of the Wild was MEANT to be. There are parallels upon parallels, in the story and plot structure, in the gameplay mechanics and the world design. Everything about Tears of the Kingdom makes Breath of the Wild feel like a demo, in comparison, and i do not say that lightly.

There is more to say, definitely, but this post is long enough, so i'll end with this: I think Tears of the Kingdom is the greatest sequel of all time. Maybe not the greatest game of all time, nor is BotW, but they are both unmatched in terms of experiences i have gone through, and especially in terms of their ability to elicit feelings that i didn't know i had in me.

In the years between, i kept saying i'd never play another game like Breath of the Wild. That is still true, but it now has a sister thought:

I will NEVER play another sequel like Tears of the Kingdom.

I've been working on adding a new section to my website (it is No Pickles themed) and I've got 60 or so new assets to draw... Very scary.

(Long ramble about my website and what I want to do in addition to/after I've finished DIDL)

I have really been wanting to put non-DIDL stuff on my website, I just, erm. All the things that I want to be able to show off are NOT in the state for it yet... Everything is far too underdeveloped for my standards, and a lot of the ideas I have are out of scope of my current skills and would take quite a bit of time and effort that I have been trying to funnel into Daisy. Despite it all.

While hopping around between projects and hastily slapping on new parts is fun and easy, actually sitting down and trimming it into a neat and tidy shape is a different matter.

I want a secondary project to work on so baddd. Yet my options...

Airship: Solid character designs and personalities, 1st half completely outlined, 2nd half fearfully untouched. Unsure on the actual website presentation.

TerriByte: My special little babygirl since middle school but developmentally in the pits of hell. I am unsure of what I want for nearly every aspect of it. Might end it making it entirely text-based.

Criatron: Project dedicated to making an absurd amount of character designs but I want it to be a browser game and I don't understand JS in the slightest.

TMMM: Will be an RPGmaker game but in it's current state it is absolutely overambitious and bloated and needs severe trimming. Also making games is hard and requires a lot of skills I don't have and some I don't think I'll be able to pick up (music, namely).

Wizards: Mostly solid character designs. Vague plot (I know what kicks everything off, I know how I want things to end, I don't know how to get from A to B), I have very strong visuals for how I want the webpage to be designed but lack the skills to execute it (Would have to get good at 3d modeling)

Amalgam: Specifically made with web stuff and multimedia in mind but doesn't have a singular plot as much as a bunch of tangentially related things are happening at once as experienced through wiki-like deepdives and websurfing.

There are other things as well that I don't have quite the same passion for at the moment.

If I could add a second readmore for plot/project summaries I would.

Like, I'm almost tempted to make a summary of everything and my pros and cons of working on it. Make it a PDF. Start polling people on it because of how indecisive I am. But I am also very firm in my Augh I want some of this to be a SURPRISE + I avoid putting anything on the internet if I would be very upset by people doing bad faith internet things to it.

Oh wait wait talking to myself in a Tumblr post has made me remember my plan from last February. TESTFIRE CATALOG! And by that I mean making a bunch of proof of concept demo pages and seeing which ones I like working on the most, and maybe which ones people are most interested in.

There are still a ton of new skills I will have to learn however. I wish I had infinite time and money. Oh well the time will pass anyway.

It's so crazy how built different I truly have to be from others. I share things when I want people to like ask me if I'm okay or if I'm genuinely ranting for the sake of myself bc yk....this is my account and I'm not gonna shy away from posting shit that I want to, but when it comes down to the internet and then one person....I choose the Internet. Trauma plays a huge part in a lot of mental illnesses, different kinds of trauma really can tick off more violent or intense things, sometimes what you may suffer with can become more frequent. But it gets to a point. Like yes, awareness we love that. But blaming shit on what you "suffer" with, mind you I have the same thing and it's not as crazy as some people make it seem, [yes some people struggle more with certain things] like it's really easy for me not to talk about everything I struggle with mostly bc I fear people will say "well you didn't say this before...."
