I'm genuinely fascinated you name dropped the Aerialbots. Especially given the known rivalry between them and the stunticons.

Yes yes!! I love the Aerialbots so much, so I wanted them to be a part of the AU as well! Of course, the Stunticons' and the Aerialbots' dynamic is just rivalry at the beginning, with so much hatred on Motormaster's side towards all of them. They don't start off on good foot.

Unfortunately, the Aerialbots only appear at the beginning of the story and then at the very end. They aren't really a part of the Stunticons' growth journeys before the Stunticons reunite again, nor a part of the things that go down on Earth. But regardless! They still have roles to play!

I especially love to think about the Aerialbots and the Stunticons' dynamics with each other after the whole story is wrapped! When things are finally peaceful! I love to imagine that they grow close and bond with each other! Become like one big family! Of course, Motormaster and Silverbolt end up having a closer relationship. They're not really a romantic couple, but also, in their sparks, that space reserved for a romantic partner is filled with one another. It's like a queerplatonic relationship!

A friendship between Menasor and Superion is also something I think about a lot! I think they would help each other so much. Menasor would help Superion be more accepting of his gestalt bond, be accepting of the Aerialbots, and learn to live with them, rather than live ignoring them; while Superion would help Menasor become more of a person of their own, always making sure that Menasor voices their opinions and feelings as loudly as they can. I think they would complete each other so sweetly in this AU! I can imagine them becoming really close to the point they search for the other the moment their respective gestalts combine into them.

Omg i never saw this, i never thought to check my main account! I do not know when you asked this.. i will answer it nonetheless!!

Man i could talk about these two all day bc their relationship is so unique, and can be portrayed in so many different ways. Most of which are really intriguing. From a more canon standpoint, I think their relationship is very push and pull.

Silverbolt’s calm restraint would directly challenge Motormaster’s insecure need to dominate the people around him. That could lead to explosive arguments… or oddly intimate moments where Silverbolt refuses to back down and earns Motormaster’s reluctant respect. Silverbolt is actually pretty tough! Gentle in spirit, but very resilient. He tolerates no nonsense, and Motormaster really likes that about him.

Motormaster is emotionally erratic and violent, but Silverbolt would likely be one of the few who can talk him down without triggering him. Given that he has his inferiority complex in check around him beforehand. From a more headcanon-ish standpoint, I believe the Aerialbots had always been used as a point of reference that the Stunticons needed to work towards. I think secretly, he'd always looked up to Silverbolt for his leadership, and how effective his team seemed to run. He just couldn't understand why what he was doing wasn't working. I think this could lead to a lot of friction and resentment on Motormaster's part before they get close.

At the same time, Silverbolt refuses to babysit him. They mutually need someone to lean on with their history, and i think their bond could soften Motormaster up. Although he’d never admit it out loud. Silverbolt watches him work on himself, and feels no small sense of pride at how far he has come on his own. He is content to remain by his side.

If Motormaster were to refuse to work on himself, and grow, there would simply be no relationship. Silverbolt isn't one to tolerate nonsense like that.

Over time, Motormaster would stop seeing Silverbolt as “weak” because of his gentle nature, and more as someone with unshakeable strength no matter the circumstance.

TLDR; they are fiery, volatile, and intense, but with potential for deep growth and mutual healing. Enemies to lovers trope where aggressive commanding energy meets quiet strength. Silverbolt has learned how to handle his temper. He doesn’t try to fix Motormaster, that is his own business. He just stands firm. And surprisingly, that works better than trying to tame him.

I think once they're together in a more long-term, serious fashion, their relationship would look a little bit like this:

They love each other with acts of service. Just the little things they do to make things easier for one another. When they got together, it was undoubtedly because they formed a deep bond based on mutual trust and experiences. Motors loves Silverbolt in such a certain fashion. If he's going to spend his life with someone, that's who he picks. Silverbolt is his person. They're content to spend their time together. Motormaster shows his love through more physical actions, Silverbolt expresses it through patience and quiet reassurance. And physical affection, of course. Sappy autobot.

super shy to approach with thoughts, and asking for ideas, but do you have any soft ideas for Silverbolt/Motormaster, by any chance? i think they could be cute (if Motormaster got some therapy.....) and sweet, in their own way, especially with how both are exceptionally young kids put into this war, and as leaders too.

for me, i like thinking of them watching the stars (Silverbolt's idea) or learning to trust each other and see themselves as more than enemies. it is fun imagining their individual brothers knowing, even if both try to hide that they like each other.

I love stargazing headcanons. I think Motormaster likes to find constellations that look like Silverbolt

It would be funny if their individual brothers knew. I think the stunticons would make fun of Motormaster then get an ass whooping

Silverbolt likes getting Motormaster to meditate with him so he can calm him

Silverbolt likes giving Motormaster tender love and kisses and Motormaster melts

Silverbolt respects Motormaster space and helps him learn to accept love and help more

Silverbolt is basically Motormasters god now. A god of love. He’s smitten

Motormaster tells Silverbolt stuff he’s afraid to or afraid of. Silverbolt validates him and he feels better

Outside breakdown for you see the other stunticons pairing off with anyone?

Yes yes!! 💥 I'm a HUGE fan of the Silverbolt and Motormaster ship, so of course I wanted to make it canon in my AU too 🥹 I talked about those two a bit here and here!! They have a very soft dynamic, it is very rare for them to do stuff that traditional couples would do, like kissing, cuddling, etc. They're not exactly as openly lovey-dovey as Bumblebee and Breakdown are, but they still have just as strong of a relationship nontheless! They're just happy to be around one another and are grateful for the other's existence 💕

I still haven't done a proper design for Silverbolt, unfortunately... I'm still thinking about it! I'm playing around with the idea of making Silverbolt a femme like Motormaster too! Or maybe I'll keep him a mech? Ideas ideas...

As for the rest of the Stunticons... I haven't thought of any romantic partners for them, actually! I'm not even sure what kind of ships they have in the fandom, I don't think I've ever seen one 🤔Perhaps I might notice a certain chemistry they have with one of the other characters as I work on this AU more, though!!
