Tips & Tricks Tuesday: Tasks for each stage of moving house

When moving house, there can be a lot to do—before, during, and after the move. This week's tip, shared by mmoore100, suggests keeping separate lists to have everything ready to do right when you need it.

For moving, I have MovePrep, a MoveActual, and MovePost lists. I also have a MoveJettison list, which could actually be a sublist of MovePrep, but for now I'll keep it separate.

I'm downsizing from a house in the suburbs to something smaller closer to a city.

MovePrep is for the things I need to get the house ready for sale, change-of-address tasks, finding a new place, hiring a mover, scheduling utility service, and so on.

MoveActual is for the things I need to do on the day of the move, which I won't know until I sign the contract with the mover, and tips from friends who have been through this recently.

MovePost is for the things I need to do once we're at the new address. Do I need to find a new doctor, new dentist? Get a library card?

MoveJettison is for the things I want to get rid of (jettison) just before the move, but can't do ahead of time. For example, I can't get rid of the snow shovels until I know we're set to move to either a warmer clime or a place where someone else takes care of those things.

Priest big brother who tries to tell you that god gave you to him as his little sister for a purpose, that sometimes sharing blood is gods way of giving you a soulmate but nobody understands that bc they cant understand gods intentions like he does, priest big brother that tells you that you're his reward for dedicating his life in god's name, priest big brother who freaks out whenever anyone shows interest in you not just because it's sinful and wrong and filthy, like he always insists to you when you want an explanation, but also because they're trying to TAKE his precious blessing from God away from him, the only thing he has, the only thing he's promised, and he can't abide by that, not when the lord entrusted you to him, granted you to him in his infinite mercy.... priest big brother who asks you to kneel and pray with him, who watches you go to your knees, then kneels behind you, wedges his leg between your own, rests his chin on your shoulder, wraps an arm around your waist, dips under your waistband as the other free hand clasps your hands together forcibly in prayer as he whispers reminders to you, that god put you here for a reason and the devil will try and tempt you from your path, try and lead you astray and year you two apart, but you have to stay strong and take comfort in the love and pleasure and glory of the lord whenever temptation surfaces, tells you that as his fingers slip down and find you, press in, massaging at your peak... once you're gasping and crying and leaning back against his chest, priest big brother reminding you that he is ALWAYS available to pray together, little sister

After all, it's only once I've gotten so, so, so angry and tired myself out to the point of physical exhaustion that he can get away with tugging me close, pinning me down with his body weight, soothing me with soft, warm, trilling words, slip his hands under my clothes and pet me, stroke me, grope me, push me to the brink until I'm blacking out from coming so hard after losing any shred of control of my body and mind due to his simple, brotherly teasing

little sister turning 21 during quarantine and big brother taking that opportunity to sway her into getting drunk more and more often, spiking her drinks, keeping her so sedated and intoxicated, so when he starts touching her more intimately, too intimately, not only does she have nowhere to go, but she thinks its a dream, doubts her own memory. he gaslights her if she talks to him about it, makes her think she's fantasizing about him

Cousin threatens to rat on big brother taking advantage of little sister unless he shares her... big brother gritting his teeth and putting up with it, talking her through it, which is crazy bc even them being together isnt normally something shes super proud of or comfortable with, but at least its familiar, and maybe next time he touches her, she's a little more relaxed, because they're back to normal now... and big brother doesn't like sharing but he does think at least some good came out of it if his baby sister is realizing now how good he is to her, right?

girly girl big sister who loathes her weirdo little sister sooooo much bc she's dirty and rude and wild and feral and big sister just wants to clean her up and force her to behave sometimes... and then one day she manages to persuade little sister to try on a choker necklace and she cant take her eyes off it and little sister says dryly "it looks like a dog collar. you put me in a dog collar" and big sister almost passes out at the mental image realizing oh Godddddddd she wants to put her little sister in a collar on a leash and chain her up and play with her and teach her to be a nice, sweet, silly puppy that she can pet and kiss and scold and take out for walks. she wants to make her eat dinner from a doggybowl on the ground. she wants to strip her naked except for her collar and see her curl up nice in her master's lap. big sister has to go to her room and immediately finger herself, mumbling "good girl, be my good girl, you'll be so cute if you just uhnnn..."

bonus points if big sister thought she was sexually normal and/or straight at this point and lives in denial for a while before she breaks down over pet play videos starring a girl with the same hair color as her sister
