he’s  saved  from  replying  by  the  computer  going  off  behind  them,  distracting  everybody,  even  her.  the  tesseract  has  been  located,  and  now  they  were  closer  to  stopping  loki’s  war  before  it  even  started.  her  eyes  are  focused  on  the  scepter  however,  even  as  everyone  looks  like  they’re  about  to  go  right  back  onto  fighting.  going  up  to  it,  she  inspects  the  weapon,  and  is  about  a  moment  from  picking  it  up  when  the  helicarrier  shakes,  an  explosion  rocking  through  the  ship.  she  turns,  locking  eyes  with  steve  and  then  tony.

steve  and  her  speak  at  the  same  time,  both  directed  toward  tony.   ❛  put  on  the  suit  !   ❜   she  had  her  own  priorities  to  take  care  of,  including  but  not  limited  to  making  sure  loki  wasn’t  set  free.  or  that  if  he  did  get  free,  she  at  least  got  to  punch  him  in  the  face  before  they  locked  him  back  up.
