Out of curiosity, how did you come up with the ideas for your Pokemon picks?
yippee, first ever ask!
The way I came up with them was mostly what i felt they'd like if they played the games. With slight if they were real. I heavily thank @antiquecandlekitty for motivating me to do this. Stellar artist ngl :]
My reasoning behind a few was uh: Dee would probably be every child in their pokemon phase, so the Eeveelutions just feel right, I thought Flareon or Sylveon. Flareon, because it probably reminded her for her brothers. Sylveon because she's Cutesie and Apparently can calm people down? (From what I remember)
Jack feels like a Fire and Rock type User so I thought Vulpix or any from the Fennekin line. (I regret looking up pokemon dsaf for multiple reasons)
For Peter I thought he'd use Fighting types mostly because of how aggressive he could be in game... HE LITTERALY STRANGLES YOU ATLEAST ONCE, and Matchamp was my first though, just some chill guys ready to kick ass if provoked.
For Dave I originally thought Water types.. it was like 1AM when I thought of such so I was half asleep and off my head. (I was probably being lazy..) this all started in some Dsaf Confession, find it if you want. I 100% think he'd HATE object pokemon. Originally I thought Mudkip and Lucario for some reason.. @antiquecandlekitty suggested poison types.. makes alot more sence so I searched up poison types, saw Abrok and just couldn't get my mind off them together, and uh... Weedle for the shitz 'n' gigglez.
For Steven I searched up fox pokemon.. uh. That simple! I saw Thievul and knew they'd be perfect. He did have an army of Foxys in the flipside so it makes sence on my behalf.
I also recently imagined Steven riding Theivul off into the sunset with an army of Nickits following behind.. I might draw that fully

Thank you @mugiwara-rosewolf for this question omg I'm almost certainly going to rant so I hope you're alright with that! I'd like to preface this by saying the only Pokémon game I've played through is Legends Arceus, and it's been ages since I watched the show, and the only card I have is Piplup cuz it's Piplup, so I am by no means an expert. Anyway let's goooooo!
I'm only gonna do one Pokémon for each character rather than an entire team! Many of these I chose after training them in game, watching YouTube videos about them, or purposely looking up their pokedex entries and lore. Some of these were chosen purely on vibes. Note: you can generally have a team of up to six, so these are only ONE of these characters Pokémon from their teams.
Lets start with Babo!
Sabo: Umbreon
So imma be real I gave him an Eevee because I Love Eevee. And because I wanted to give him a familiar Pokémon. The real decision was what his Eevee would evolve into. I decided on Umbreon because they evolve from high friendship, and friendship/family is insanely important to Sabo, so it made sense to me that his Eevee would evolve from that. Plus I really like Sabo having a dark type.
Koala: Swampert
Koala meets her Swampert when she's still pretty young, probably soon after returning to her home island. She's sitting at a stream when she hears crying and follows the sound to a trap where a Mudkip is stuck. She frees him, of course, feeling a strong understanding because she too had been trapped until recently. She names him Fish (after fisher tiger, duh) and they grow up together. She makes the decision to join the revolutionary army when he evolves the first time into Marshtomp. Swampert fucking adores Koala, that is his girl. He has a thin scar going around his back foot from the wire trap she saved him from.
Hack: Gyarados
Hack met his Gyarados by pure chance during a mission. He was traveling back to Baltigo under the water since he was alone, swimming to avoid marines or pirates. At one point he stops to enjoy his lunch, and notices that there's a weird looking fish floating nearby just staring at him. He doesn't realize the fish is a Magikarp, and when he greets it he gets no response (because it's a Pokémon, not a fish), so he just assumes it's shy and offers it part of his lunch (cuz Hack is a good guy). After finishing his lunch he starts swimming again, not realizing or maybe not caring that the Magikarp had taken a liking to him and was following him eagerly. At some point he crosses paths with a Sea King, but before he's able to get into a fighting stance, Magikarp swims in front of him, willing itself to evolve into Gyarados to protect Hack. That's when he realizes it's a Pokémon. Gyarados follows him back to Baltigo, and he just ends up with it as his Pokémon partner.
Betty: Espurr
So my thought process for Betty’s partner was that I really wanted her to have a psychic type, because I thought it matched beautifully with her Devil’s Fruit ability to encourage and pump people up simply by speaking. That's kinda psychic, right? What made me settle on Espurr was the lore that it's a Pokémon who struggles deeply with controlling its powers, is rather lonely and oftentimes on its own. It made me think of what Betty said about the revs being there for people willing to stand up for themselves. Espurr is trying super hard to control itself, and Betty sees that, so she's happy to encourage it and help it become stronger and more capable of controlling its powers. I think they'd mesh really well as partners. Plus, cmon, look at that face. There's something endearing about an adorable lil guy being able to fucking YEET your ass.
Morley: Sableye
Reason one why I chose Sableye: he's fucking adorable. I think they must have met when Morley was imprisoned in Impel Down and digging the tunnels that eventually became level 5.5. Sableye had gotten stuck there somehow, but when it noticed Morley digging it decided to follow. Sableye would pick through the dirt and rocks that Morley pushed aside, and when Morley realized it was scavenging, she started to purposely look for tasty looking rocks and would hand them back to Sableye, who followed her through the entire process of tunnel digging. When Morley finally escaped, she brought Sableye with her. They've been friends for a VERY long time. Sableye likes to just sit on Morley's shoulder, but will hop down if Morley is digging/pushing the ground around, because that means TREATS!
Lindbergh: Heatmor
Heatmor is a fucking vibe, okay. The blend of organic and mechanical really made sense for Lindbergh, because I see Heatmor using its fire to help him when he's making one of his gadgets. Oh, you need to melt some metal? No problem Lind, Heatmor is here! I was torn between giving Lindbergh a fire type or a steel type and Heatmor's appearance really won me over for this one. The vibes are simply perfect. Here's a bonus fact, Heatmor is 4'7" and Lindbergh is 4'11" 🤣 I just love that they're basically the same height. Heatmor is Lindbergh's partner as well as his assistant when preparing gadgets. They have a really good dynamic I think.
Karasu: Corviknight
I mean *waves* duh. I wanted Karasu to have a flying type because I thought it would be sweet of them to fly together. Then I realized Corviknight existed. Initially I thought it was a little TOO on the nose, but Corviknight is literally perfect for Karasu both aesthetically and lore-based. Karasu met his Corviknight when he was just a tiny Rookidee. He raised the little guy by hand and even taught him how to fly. Corviknight is more like Karasu's child than his Pokémon partner tbfh. He enjoys perching on Karasu's shoulder and will nest in the feathers of his cloak when it's tired. He gets along with most of the other Pokémon as he's quite friendly, but he's got beef with Inazuma's Tinkaton.
Ivankov: Ditto
I dare you to tell me this isn't perfect. Genderless and able to perfectly change into a duplicate of its enemy, its ability to transform itself parallels unbelievably well with Iva's devil fruit ability. I think they met when Ditto chose to reveal itself to Iva voluntarily after seeing Iva transform. Maybe it thought Iva was also a Ditto, who knows? Either way it liked Iva's company and chose to travel with her, happily working alongside her. Iva of course has other Pokémon on her team, but Ditto refuses to be confined to a pokeball and Iva respects that, so just let's it follow her around freely.
Dragon: Smolive
"Prodi why did you give Dragon a smolive?" This is why ->
Anyway, they met one day when a lonely Smolive crawled onto Dragon's plate following the scent of food, and Dragon, not realizing, picked him up thinking he was part of the meal. It begins shrieking, alerting Dragon that this is a Pokémon, so he sets it back down while apologizing for almost eating it. After that Smolive decides to dedicate it's very tiny life to Dragon and they become friends. I genuinely believe Dragon gets along really well with grass types. Idk why, the vibes just fit. He has other partners more suited for battle, but the image of Smolive on his shoulders helps to trick unsuspecting enemies into thinking it'll be an easy fight. Meanwhile he's got a legendary on his team or something, idk, Dragon exists to surprise us.
Kuma: Blissey
I wanted Kuma to have a Pokémon with the same gentle, no nonsense personality. Something healing but willing to beat your ass, basically the exact same as Kuma. Blissey is literally perfect for him. Compassionate, hard working, gentle. Genuinely do I have to say anything else? Blissey was the one who was first drawn to a young Kuma back when she was just a Happiny because she could sense his good nature and quickly became attached to him. When Kuma leaves to join the warlords he leaves Blissey at Baltigo, much to Blissey's distress. She hates being apart from her partner, but Kuma knew from the beginning that this mission probably wouldn't end well and didn't want his beloved Pokémon to get caught up in it, so he entrusts her to Dragon and the other revs. She misses him very much and is often sad, but will brighten up when given the opportunity to take care of someone. Her full attention is on Sabo after he gets his memories back, because she can sense how distressed he is. She'll offer him her egg to try and help, but he swears he's okay. He does hug her a lot, though, because they both miss Kuma.
Ahiru: Bronzor
Another choice made by vibes. First of all I love that both Ahiru and Betty have psychic types, and I wanted Ahiru to have a partner that matched her aesthetic and her mechanical arm. I also think the legend its inspired by is incredibly powerful and fits with the overall theme of the Revolutionary Army. Bronzor will allow Ahiru to polish it, but only for a little bit, and won't let anyone else touch it.
Inazuma: Tinkaton
I really wanted Inazuma to have a steel type, and I loved Tinkaton for them but wasn't sure about the clashing colors. Then I read further on her lore. So yeah Inazuma has a Tinkaton. She's got mad beef with Karasu's Corviknight, but Inazuma is pretty good at keeping her from doing something murderous. Tinkaton doesn't like disappointing Inazuma and will droop her head when Inazuma scolds her for trying to commit homicide against the poor Corviknight who is just minding his own damn business. In a fight, Inazuma and Tinkaton are fucking TERRIFYING together. She gets along insanely well with Sabo, who can lift her ridiculously heavy hammer and is about as crazy as she it.

#this took so long to finish 🤣#i hope you enjoy 🫡#one piece#pokemon#one piece pokemon au#revolutionary army

"I thought you'd be helping to fix Sootopolis after what happened!" Wally finally got out from his tangled throat.
"And miss my protege?" Wallace smiled the easy smile of someone used to public life. "Please. I was only waiting for Imekanu because I knew Flannery had contacted her already."
"Why am I not surprised you're all in cahoots," Kerry said, crossing her arms.
Wally couldn't hide his smile. Despite everything, she still looked cute like that. "I'm glad you decided to come visit me."
"Well, that's not to say that things in Sootopolis are fantastic-- those idiots at the League sadly decided that the Gym and the Center should be on silty ground, where we don't put any buildings-- but we take care of our own." Wallace turned to Kerry. "Speaking of."
Kerry swallowed and looked over at the two of them.
"Yes, yes, very Dark Warden," Wallace said with an indulgent smirk.
"Right. Kerry, please stand before me and present the Noble."
Kerry nodded, and beckoned as she would a human to Angel, who walked into the ward despite the nurses. "This is the Absol who acted as Petalburg's Noble during the flood recently. He has accepted the name 'Angel', but... if he has a name for himself, I do not know it."
"Ah, is that so? And tell me, then, of your travels with this Absol in Hoenn."
Kerry recounted the tales of the flood as best she could remember, and saw Imekanu blink for a moment at the tale of the Marshtomp and Mudkips, saw her blink again when she mentioned freeing someone from a Spiritomb's grip and promised she'd be back to deal with it.
She sat down and continued to listen as she told the tale of the Weather Institute and the Castform she found.
Looked at Wallace and his irritated expression as Kerry described Fortree City, then his laugh as she mentioned, "But I'm pretty sure it's not as old as they say it is. The trees would have grown through the platforms by now, right?"
"Wally was here for most of the rest of this," Kerry said, "If he wants to tell his side of the story."
"You haven't said anything false so far," Wally said. "Though you have been really eager to talk about what you were doing while I cleaned up the grunts behind you..."
"You'll get your spotlight!"
Brief travails with Steven-- who she painted as still not particularly trusting of her, to which everyone in the room nodded sympathetically-- and then, meeting Phoebe.
"It was the first time I'd really seen anyone who looks like me in a position of real power. Is-- Is she of the Clans?"
"Her family helped on Mt. Pyre once upon a time. Her grandmother took it up again after the Revolutions," Wallace explained. "Phoebe's really the first one in... Over two centuries, I think, to take up the position and thrive in it."
"... But there wasn't..."
"There wasn't any one Clan who oversaw it, no," Wallace clarified. "Arguably it shouldn't even be a family business, not in the Kantonian sense."
"Foundlings and changelings, then?" the other teen asked.
"Something like," Everyone else said at once.
"In any case, she invited Wally and I to help clean the Teams out of Mt. Pyre, since as strong as she was, one person can only do so much against armies, even in a place as defensible as Mt. Pyre..."

Behold my [messy] bed with 40ish plushies (depending if you count my Stitch face pillow where my notebooks sit and slide off of as well as Coffee who holds my laptop on top of him. His name is Coffee because he's a cat who is coffee-colored, not because i like coffee).
I'm sure you can see the obvious Elsa, Sobble, Alolan Vulpix, Light Fury, Charmander aka Zippo, Elsa and her girlfriend Raya, 9 Bruni's (1 is semi hiding), Sleeping Stitch, Pooh, Eeyore, 2 Tigger brothers, Piglet, Shiny Vaporeon, Pikachu, Mudkip, Tepig, Little Mudkip, and Waddles. At least five of them were gifts throughout my life, the ones at the top of my head behind half the Bruni's, Pikachu, Waddles, one of the Winnie the Pooh characters, and either Mudkip or Vaporeon (one of them i got at my first Comic Con, the other my friend got me the next year and i just can't remember which came first). As you can tell i have an army of Bruni's because i love him AND I WANT ALL THE BRUNI'S.
Behind my pillow is KitKit, who was a gift along with Coffee and she helps serve as an extra pillow and she's VERY soft. Next to my pillow is the arctic cat Marshmallow who is Elsa's pet along with her partner Pokémon Vulpix and Sobble. In front of her we have the black cat Binx who is sitting next to his bestie the Siamese cat Dani (hey if the black cat was gonna be Binx it was only fitting to stick with the Hocus Pocus theme for Dani). The beanie baby dog in front of Vulpix is Noodles and he was a holiday gift from one of my coworkers a couple years back. The tiny brown bear sandwiched between 3 Bruni's is Coco; he was a holiday gift from another coworker this past winter and he also came with chocolate so he is a fellow chocoholic. The polar bear laying on top of Raya is her and Elsa's pet polar bear Naga, yes named after Korra's polar bear dog Naga; she was a gift from my mom. Next to her are the unicorn sisters Anna and Elsa respectively (Elsa came first, she was on clearance at my store post-winter and very much an impulse buy like most of my plushies. Anna is the trans-colored unicorn who's actually a squeaky toy for dogs but my mom saw her and thought i'd like her more than our dog). In front of them is their trans dragon Sparkle (or is she Twilight? i can never remember cause she has a mark on her side that is VERY similar to Twilight Sparkle from MLP:FiM and i couldn't get away from either of those names) but she loves space and was one of the first Squishables my mom got me. Finally living on the edge literally is the yellow rainbow dragon Lemonona aka Mona and she enjoys hoarding lemons and artwork.
And trust me, you do NOT wanna know how many other stuffed animals are in my room taking up space i don't have and what their names and intricate backstories are because i have a family of bunnies that you'll be reading about for at least ten minutes on their own.
Also, yes, my laptop and Nintendo both have names as well. My nintendo is named Kya as a nod to ATLA because of her teal coloring. My laptop is named May because before her came Misty and with how long Misty lasted and was there for me it was only fitting to continue the Pokémon theme with the second best companion in the series.

Pokemon au is best au
Heather Holloway with a Vaporeon and Liepard.
Nancy with a Jigglytuff, Inteleon, and Yamper.
Jonathon with a Smeargle, Bulbasaur, and Gourgeist?
Argyle with Sunflora, Maractus, and Rillaboom.
Joyce might have a Ursaring or Machoke, oooh or a Tauros. Maybe a Growlithe.
Hopper with Stoutland, Gumshoos, and Cleffa (he'd planned on giving it to his daughter). The rest of his team died in the war.
Mike with a Fuecoco and Falinks, Dustin with a Rotom and Charjabug, Lucas with a Mudkip and later Scorbunny. Maybe El has an Espurr or meets a Mewtwo? Will with a Hattena and Whismurr. Max with a Wartortle and Litten?
Tommy with a Meowth and Fearrow, Carol with a Jigglypuff.
Heather having a liepard and vaporeon is such a pretty idea those two fit her so well
I absolutely ADORE the idea of Nancy having a yamper she'd definitely have a cute little dog like that plus I had also been thinking she'd either have a jigglypuff/wigglytuff,,,inteleon also seems like it would match her really well too
Jonathon having a smeragle is so *chefs kiss* since they both do art, smeargle doing painting and Jonathon photography they go hand in hand really well together. Plus the bulbasaur is also so good since Jonathon tries to be a good brother to Will, I think like he'd get a pokemon that's nurturing towards younger pokemon/people and that's loyal. I feel like maybe he had/has a gourgiest but after the events of s1/the upside he's a lot more cautious of it being around, especially around Will so that it doesn't freak any of them out?
Argyle having a sunflora, maractus and rillaboom is so absolutely perfect, especially sunflora and maractus, they match him so well
I love Joyce having a machoke and ursaring to possibly help her around the house plus that are strong and able to help her defend her kids. Her also having a growlithe that can possibly help her tell if there's danger around or something along those lines is also so good.
Hopper having a rescue hound like stoutland is absolutely perfect for him in addition to having a gumshoo that can help him monitor things during the day. And him having gotten a cleffa that he would've given to his daughter?? is so precious I'm sobbing
Something about Mike having a fuecoco and falinks that matches him so well especially the falinks, I feel he would enjoy having a little mini army. Dustin would for sure have a rotom and charjabug, they'd probably help him out with his littel radio system and everything. Lucas most definitely has a scorbunny, they match together really well plus him having a mudkip is super cute. El meeting a mewtwo would be SO good, honestly it kinda reminds me of like her and Vecna. Also her having an espurr?? is such a gorgeous idea I love it. Max having a wartortle is SUCH a good idea especially out of all the evolutions the one she'd settle for is wartortle. Her also having a litten is also really good, I feel like they complement each others personalities so well. Hatenna and whismur are SO adorable for Will, they all go incredibly well together but whismur especially since it would be able to obviously alert Will/anyone nearby of any danger.
I love the idea of Tommy having a meowth and fearow they'd all be so mischievous together and carol having a jigglypuff? is incredibly cute
#sorry for the wait :(#I don't remember as much as I used to about pokemon 😔 its been awhile#although I am very much willing to listen to you talk about it#I haven't thought TOO much about which pokemon everyone would have but I love hearing what other people think the characters would have#raven answers

Cringe is dead give headcanons (please)
Anon friend. Whoever you are behind those glasses, I would die for you.
Hduehsifjzjjwjd anyway, okay- So I had said Ye Old MCYT of the Team Crafted era, so I guess I’ll just give Team Crafted? My inbox is always open if anyone wants to know any headcanons I might have for others!!! Asks are appreciated!
Sky prefers to be called Sky because “Adam” always felt too formal and stiff, but “Sky” felt freer and chiller. Even as the commander of an army, he never wanted to be a person that people feared or were overly formal around. He just wants to help people.
Speaking of Sky being the commander of an army, the Sky Army is less of a militant force and more of a… Adventurer’s Guild sort of thing. The recruits take bounties and commissions and other little odd tasks here and there. It’s a real community and the “military base” that was given to Sky for his army looks more like a little village. There are kids running around and people just chatting with friends and all that kinda stuff. It’s super chill unless there’s a squid attack or anything.
The reason Sky likes gold so much is because he’s a piglin hybrid, but he’s more humanoid than some other types of non-humans, like Jerome or Deadlox for example. Sky’s only giveaway that he’s non-human is his eyes which are white pupils with black sclera like a piglin’s eyes.
Deadlox is a descendant of the Ender Dragon, so he has, y’know, the wings and horns and tail, but unlike how most people perceive dragon hybrids, he’s not really as badass as you’d think. His wings are too small to lift him off the ground to fly, the tail is a nuisance because, as a bipedal, he doesn’t need the balance help and he ends up tripping over his tail a lot and the horns cause a LOT of headaches during shedding season. He got dope fire magick though, that’s kinda badass.
As a Dragon hybrid, Deadlox has a hoard, of course. His thing that he keeps around and protects is different headsets. Like his green headphones, he’s got a bunch more that he keeps in his home in the village. The majority of the headsets that he has were gifts from his friends and you can always tell which pairs were given by who. Do NOT EVER touch Deadlox’s hoard unless you, uh, feel like losing anywhere from a finger to your entire arm jdhdhufhsudjchs
When Mitch and Jerome were first climbing their way to being the Hunger Games Champions, they were actually rivals at first. Almost every game that they ended up in together, the two would almost always end up facing each other in Deathmatch and they were pretty evenly matched hit for hit. One day, there was a tournament for a cash prize that Sky hosted (lore reasons >:3) where all the greatest fighters in all of Minecraftia were invited to fight to see who was the best of the best and Mitch and Jerome got paired together. After that game, the two were inseparable and were the closest of teams rather than rivals.
Seto was raised by witches and Illagers in a Woodland Mansion not too far from the Sky Army village (or, rather, where it would be built eventually, but you get what I’m saying-) and so, when he started to show a proficiency for magick, the witches and evokers leapt at the chance to teach him their crafts. Seto is now a masterful potions brewer, making potions that can last for HOURS, and he can create little vex-like fairy creatures to help him with anything he needs. He can also make Totems of Undying, but as a drawback, they make him physically ill for weeks after making them so it’s something he does very VERY sparingly.
Husky is kinda like a seelie? Idk how to spell the creature’s name, but it’s that mythological creature that usually looks like a seal, but they can shed that skin at will and underneath, they look like a person. Basically, Husky is like that. His animal skin is a Mudkip because he came from a Pixelmon server, but ended up getting trapped in a main hub when his server got shut down. Sky found a little lost and hurt Mudkip and brought it home to his server and, after being nursed back to health, the Mudkip reveals itself as Husky and Husky kinda feels indebted to Sky for the help and Husky decides to work to help Sky with the army when he needs help to repay him.
Technically, not completely Team Crafted, but Bodil? Bodil has a natural proficiency for coding even though he was never the proper Admin of a server, but anyone who has been in his friend groups always goes to him for help and device because he’s so good at finding bugs in coding or figuring out better ways to make something work and things like that. Shame that he wastes all his coding talent on his Epic Jump Maps or other troll things /j /j /j
Uhhhhhhh, okay, I know I’m missing people from the list, but I can’t think of any for Ian or Jason because I never properly watched them growing up to be completely and totally honest.
#thanks a bunch for the ask! <3#anon friend#headcanons#team crafted#skydoesminecraft#deadlox#bajancanadian#asfjerome#jeromeasf#enderlox#setosorcerer#huskymudkipz#bodil40

What if Pokémon Legends went on to other Regions?
This has been a topic of the Pokémon fandom for awhile. With the announcement of Pokémon Legends: Arceus not too long ago, many fans are anticipating and speculating the future of this ambitious side series.
Being able to not only witness, learn and partake in the legends that shape both the regions and Legendary Pokémon, leaves much room for creativity.
This is all merely speculation.
Here's my take for how any future Pokémon Legends games could play out.
Pokémon Legends: Mew
Set about roughly 20 years before the events of Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow, the elusive Mew makes an appearance in the Kanto Region.
This prompts many scientists to want to study and catch the original Pokémon, foreshadowing the creation of Mewtwo and the Ditto.
You, the player, are taken under the wing of a much younger Professor Oak, with the Gen 1 Gym Leaders also showing up to lend a hand.
As the plot focuses on you tracking down Mew before various criminals and an older Team Rocket, try to for their own nefarious purposes. Helping Professor Oak invent the Pokédex and with his research.
Gene splicing and gene testing on Pokémon grew after the War LT. Surge fought in, with an older Team Rocket using it to their advantage.
This Team Rocket being a much bigger criminal organization, before the player took them down and a smaller one appeared in Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow.
A younger Giovanni is also present, as the player gets to know the man that would go on to lead present day Team Rocket. He's a friend to the player... for now, giving some insight on who he was beforehand and show how he took over the criminal organization, setting up the events Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow.
Mew's appearance in the Kanto region, inspires him to the point of illegal gene testing on Pokémon.
As a nod to Pokémon first debuting in 1996, the game takes on a more of a late 60s to mid 70s aesthetic, so it feels like the player is shaping the legends that set up Gen 1 of Pokémon.
Plus Kanto in the Legends artstyle would be mindblowing. And take inspiration from 60s to 70s Japan.
In addition, to avoid looking too similar to Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Being more of a modern era Japan region, than a Meiji period Japan inspired region. While following in said game's footsteps, by focusing on the secondary legendary than the main one (Mewtwo).
The starters would be Chikorita (Gen 1 is about Nature vs Technology), Torchic (Peace and War aesthetic) and Popplio (60s to 70s definitely saw a rise in many famous and popular musicians).
Pokémon Legends: Celebi
Ever wonder the origins of the Legendary Beasts: Raikou, Suicine and Entei?
What they were before they were killed in Brass Tower revived by Ho-Oh? How Ho-Oh came down and choose them, saving their lives? The sea Lugia stays in the deep for? The early days of Johto? The ruins of Alpha in the past? The early days of the Kimino Girls?
Well now you, the player, do now! ...sort of. As the title of the game implies, the player meets and befriends Celebi and gets to see many of these events via time travel.
Not only would this include a huge mechanic separate from other Legends games, but it would be the most unique in how it could be approached. As Nintendo is no stranger to time travel games (e.g. Majora's Mask) that impact both the plot and gameplay.
Time travel tends to create stories that are very confusing or very heartwrenching. Or both. But I have no doubt it would be the latter.
It also leaves room for many side quests.
Starters would be Bulbasaur (Time is all about growth), Scorbunny (Bunny Rabbits are not only a common symbol in the older days of Japan, but of Spring much like Ho-Oh) and Froakie (ninjas were more prevalent during this time period, as they slowly faded out).
Pokémon Legends: Jirachi
1000 years before the events of Pokémon Emerald, (Omega) Ruby and (Alpha) Sapphire, chaos raged across the ancient Hoenn Region, between two legendary Pokémon: Groudon and Kyogre. The Draconid people hope and pray for the arrival of Rayquaza to save the Hoenn Region itself.
This is where the player steps in: in order for all this chaos to end, the wishes of the people must be heard. And the only Pokémon capable of that is Jirachi.
The player would go around helping wishes be granted, traveling and training Pokémon along the way.
An ancestor of Zinnia also makes an appearance as a friend and rival of the player.
To maintain the wishes and stars aesthetic, Deoxys also makes an appearance with its origin being explored. Being able to explore space itself, meeting Pokémon said to have an "alien" origin, like Elgyem and Beheeyem.
Latios and Latias can also be caught, flying on them just like in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
The meteor that would hit the future Sootopolis is what awakened Groudon and Kyogre, said Meteor containing Deoxys. Setting up the game's plot.
Since it's roughly 1000 years before the Gen 3 Pokémon games, Hoenn resembles and takes inspiration from Japan during the Heian period.
The starters would be Turtwig (Theme of continents being at stake), Chimchar (Japanese and Chinese relations) and Totodile (sea monster symbolism, which is often associated with crocodiles and related animals).
Pokémon Legends: The Dragon
Two Princes, of Galar origin, known as the "Twin Heroes" share the power of an unimaginable Legendary Dragon. Bringing Truth and Ideals to the people of Unova. They live and lead from Relic Castle.
You, the player, are a friend of the princes and over the course of the game, your alliance with them changes. Struggling to choose between Truth or Ideals. Serving as a major story mechanic.
A feud and disagreement between the Princes happen, with the player being caught in the middle and to try to quell the anger of the Dragon.
In addition to finally seeing Reshiram and Zekrom before they split, Victini is also present with the Swords of Justice Pokémon (Cobalion, Virizion, and Terrakion), the Forces of Nature (Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus) and even Meloetta tries to raise people's spirits.
Team Plasma's origins are alluded to, with the army of the Princes baring an odd resemblance to the future evil team.
The game has more of a wild western aesthetic since Unova is based on New York. Think late 18th century America. With horseback riding on Pokémon like Zebstrika and Rapidash, bandits and criminals that try to steal your Pokémon and being able to explore Unova in its entirety.
Or perhaps roaring 20s to 30s America. If that setting sounds more vibrant and close to the Unova of Gen 5. This is all still speculation.
You even get to ride Keldeo in a later part of the game.
The starters would be Chespin (Chesnaught is based on a Glyptodon; fossils were found in South America), Litten (Wrestling is popular in New York) and Mudkip (mudpuppies are found in Lake Michigan).
Pokémon Legends: Diancie
Set after the Kalos War, you the player are caught in the middle of it going off to fight with your Pokémon. Hoping to make a difference as the Professor (ancestor of Professor Sycamore) takes you under his wing. And hoping to help the war turned world that is Kalos.
Yveltal and Xernas have both gone into slumber, with Zygarde needing to be restored to at least 50% (player can go to 100%), so the world of Kalos can be healed from this war.
The main game focuses on Diancie: since Diancie is the Pokémon of diamonds, the war has forced soldiers and leaders to exhaust the many resources of the Kalos region. Particularly precious stones and diamonds.
The player befriends Diancie later in the game as the two work together to bring an end the greedy hearts of those involved.
The game resembles France during the 100 Years War, with the player character even having armor as part of their attire. Due to Kalos being based off of France, roughly Middle Ages or Medieval France in this game's case.
AZ also makes a few appearances in the game, racked with grief over firing the Ultimate Weapon, mostly keeping to himself over the game's plot.
As a new gameplay mechanic, the player can befriend other trainers to amass armies to overcome many challenges, like beating other armies and crossing obstacles.
Volcanion and Hoopa are also present in the game and can be caught.
The origins of Mega Evolutions are expanded on, with the player getting their hands on some Mega Stones. Due to the energy of the Ultimate Weapon.
The starters would be Snivy (said Pokémon is based on French nobility), Piplup (Empoleon is based off of Emperors and can be a nod to Napoleon) and Charmander (Charizard is based off of European Dragons).
Pokémon Legends: Marshadow
Set in the ancient Aloha region, when Tribes followed the Tapu Pokémon, you the player find yourself stranded in this intriguing region.
Ultra space wormholes begin opening across the region and its up to the player to figure out why and how to stop them. Even being able to traverse the Ultra Megalopolis in its entirety.
Necrozma is up to it and the player must learn why. With Marshadow playing a bigger role, since most of its origin is shrouded in mystery, so this would be a great opportunity to explore those origins.
Along with the origins of the Z-Crystals.
The game has more of an ancient Polynesian world, seeing as how Aloha is based of Hawaii. Being able to sail to smaller islands and even catch Pokémon while doing so.
The starters would be Grookey (drums are a popular musical instrument in the tropics), Sobble (chameleons are native to Hawaii) and Tepig (pigs have been brought to Polynesian Islands in the past).
Pokémon Legends: Zarude
3000 years, before the events of Pokémon Sword and Shield, a black storm covers the very region itself. This black storm causes Pokémon to randomly Dynamax and Gigantamax. Many live in fear of what the next day brings, as hope of a better day seems like only a naive dream.
The player joins with many Pokémon researchers (some being ancestors of familiar faces in Pokémon Sword and Shield), in order to track down the source of this chaos.
Zarude comes in as he helps providing with resources from various forests, so less Pokémon and people are harmed. Or worse.
The player believes tracking down Zarude, will lead them to stopping this madness (Eternatus).
The game looks much like 13th to 14th century Britain, in much of the fashion of characters and even dealing with the equivalent of a plague. Ironically enough.
The starters are Treecko (Forest theme and light in the dark theme in contrast to the Darkest Days), Fenniken (Magicians are a common Middle Ages motif) and Squirtle (Cannons were first invented in Europe, around this time period).

So...I don't know if anyone actually saw my previous post, but someone DID ask me to continue with the ideas of Pokemon teams for the human girls of Amphibia, and since we already covered Anne's team, now it's Sasha's turn.
Mudkip : Her starter pokemon, which to keep with the theme of the show, it's based on an amphibian.
Zorua: It would be quite boring if we only add amphibian pokemon so let's add some variety for a change, shall we?. This little fellow would fit for Sasha since one of its most notorious traits is that it tricks others to get what it wants.
Salazzle: This bad girl would be Sasha's main pokemon since it fits her in more ways than one... it's a reminder of her toxic personality and bossy aptitude since Salazzles are known for having a group of male Saandits to do all the dirty job for her. Also based on an amphibian.

Toxtricity (Low key) : Yet ANOTHER amphibian pokemon, which would also represent her connection with Anne since she also has one (but Anne's is Amped form), let's go with the idea that they both got Toxels at the same time when they were younger. Low Key Form Toxtricity are known to be selfish and have a high regard towards its strength and prefer to taunt their opponents with eye contact, so I think that it would fit really well with Sasha.
Tympole : This guy fills a double quota for Sasha's team by being both an amphibian pokemon and a direct reference to Grime... I mean have you seen how it's final evolution looks like? That looks like something that it would be on Grime's army.
Fearow: And last but not least we have...this guy! I wanted to add a Pokemon that represented those killer herons that Sasha and Grime fought in Toad Tower, but there are no pokemon based on herons (Yet) so this is the closest thing that came to mind. And before you ask "why didn't she used it to flee from the toads?" let's assume that pokeballs don't work on Amphibia and poor Fearow was unable to carry everyone before being captured.
So there you have it! This is my idea of Sasha's pokemon team...any thoughts about it? Would you change it for another?

And done! I am highly amused by how fast I managed to finish this piece, as the one I previously already compared it to took me apparently 80 hours to finish. I didn’t time my process this time, but I’d guess this took something like 10-15 hours, max 15-20 hours. Considering this has 18 Pokémon in it and the bigger one has around 54 (18 is exactly 1/3 of 54) that’s not a bad time at all!
But enough about that - let’s talk about the Pokémon themselves.
So pictured here are all of the beta Pokémon that I wish were actually canon so, so much. Here are my reasonings for all of them, but beware - this is gonna get lenghty!
Legendary beasts. Currently I just wish it was considered canon that this is what the beasts looked like before they were resurrected by Ho-Oh, but funnily enough I am absolutely sure that as a kid I would’ve just all around preferred the beta versions above the final versions. I didn’t like how cluttered the designs of the legendary beasts were, so these much simpler versions would’ve really pleased me back then. Nowadays I do like the actual beasts, too, but I still wish these designs were used the way I descirbed in the beginning in order to both pay homage to the beta versions as well as finally give faces to the then-nameless Pokémon trio that died in the accident of Burned tower.
Blastoise. If I’m being honest here, I have never liked Blastoise that much. Didn’t like it as a kid and, unlike with the beasts, don’t really like it too much nowadays. Somehow just adding guns to Pokémon feels really wrong to me, even if I have of course grown accustomed to the design over the years. And then we found out that Wartortle was originally going to evolve something completely different than the Blastoise we know nowadays! Argh! We have very little footage of the actual evolution though (just a 1st gen back sprite), so what I drew is a little bit more speculative than most other Pokémon shown here.
Plesiosaurus-seal starter line. If I could choose only one beta Pokémon line to become canon, it would be this one. Why? Because it would literally be my favorite starter line ever. Also I have never actually liked Totodile line, so if it had been replaced with these guys 2nd gen starters as a whole would be easily my favorite of all time. I also don’t feel like the designs are TOO close to Lapras or Dragonair, especially if Dragonair was tweaked a tiny bit, which would’ve also been a good opportunity to make it a more believable middle form between Dratini and Dragonite.
Marowakhan. It pains me so god damn much that this isn’t a canon Pokémon. In fact I think it would’ve been a perfect chance to make Cubone line’s evolution very special: maybe the cub looks like the one pictured here in its mother’s pouch if it gets raised peacefully by its mom and then evolves into Marowakhan, but if it gets separated from its mother it grows into Cubone and then the Marowak we know today. Or Marowakhan could just be the second evolution of Cubone line, but I personally would love to get some explanation to the whole Cubone-is-always-mourning-its-lost-mother-and-wearing-the-mother’s-skull situation; not literally every Cubone ever could’ve lost their mothers, right?
Shellder’s cousing. Another one that in my opinion would just need to exist for the sake of lore. The whole “when Shellder grabs Slowpoke’s tail, Slowpoke evolves into Slowbro” just doesn’t make any bit of sense - the Pokémon attached to Slowbro (and Slowking) looks nothing like Shellder at all! And the whole thing isn’t ever being mentioned as an evolution of Shellder either, so it doesn’t really explain why it suddenly looks like the creature pictured here. Add this fellow to the dex and bada-boom, things are back in sensible order.
Baby Vulpix. This one looks stupidly cute, but it would also be a good way to make sense to the whole “Vulpix is born with one tail that later splits into several tails” issue. Maybe this fellow could’ve even be depicted with just one tail instead of the already splitting one to make it look even more distinct from Vulpix?
Baby Meowth. Okay, for this one I don’t have any other reason than the fact that it looks adorable. But now that I think about it, giving Meowth a baby form would’ve been a good way to also further draw parallel between it and Pikachu line, which also got a baby form in 2nd gen.
Baby Tangela. Another cutie I just want to exist! The second evolution of Tangela they were planning at this point was also muuuuch better than the Tangrowth we eventually got, but I didn’t draw it because I’m not that huge of a fan of it either. But the baby I would’ve definitely loved! (This is also the only Pokémon whose sprite colors I just used as they were instead of trying to speculate what they were intended to represent. The reason was that I just plain and simple really liked these colors!)
Wooper. Okay the final version of Wooper is already pretty nice, but the beta version is just squishably cute! I would literally want an army of these critters! Later they did reuse the idea in Mudkip, but still I think the beta Wooper was better than both Wooper and Mudkip combined.
Aipom. Oh my god, what happened to this guy?! I like this cat-monkey a million times more than the googly-eyed, noodly-armed monkey-caricature we eventually got. Just why must you hurt me like this, Game Freak?
Dark cats. I absolutely have no idea why these two didn’t become canon? Yeaaaah they are a little bit close to Umbreon, but, like, take that moon away and the problem is just about solved. The bells are so darn cute and would’ve been absolutely a neat idea! The 2nd gen could’ve also really used a few more Dark type Pokémon, so there’s that, too.
Flying blob. This guy was going to be cut from this list when I was drawing the line between what I was going to draw and what not, but it was saved mostly because of how well it filled that space up there. This design seems like it was reused in Mantine and maybe Togekiss, but that scary face on the backside didn’t make it into either of the designs, which I think is a shame.
