Arkon was out hunting, sniffing amongst the leaves and trees as he searched for a meal. He was turning towards the west when he caught a scent and turned towards it. Another intruder, he though as he rushed forward towards the scent. He did not wait for the large, green winged creature to identify themselves as he let out a loud roar, an open challenge to either leave or face him.

Zaihnaeth had been exploring when suddenly a large creature... Person? rushed her way, roaring. Had she inadvertently entered their territory? She had a couple options here: she could run, and possibly make herself to be considered prey; she could fly up so they couldn’t reach her… or she could stand her ground.

She was wearing armor, but she still activated her plasma shield before taking flight, just in case. She did not grab a weapon just yet though, especially since she meant no harm. She hovered, hopefully high enough to be out of danger, observing. Would this be enough? She tilted her head, curious.

"Easy there."-she called out gently. "I mean you no harm."

Since not everyone has a special someone, Zaihnaeth decided to buy sweets and is simply sharing them with whoever comes around. Feel free to come by and grab some.

G= gifts: What gifts do they give? Do they expect gifts in return?

For Zaihnaeth

In Zaihnaeth's case, she will keep an eye on the person and figure out what they like before gifting anything. She will try it to be meaningful to the other person.

For example, she knows Arroth loves tinkering and making devices, so if she's seen he needs some tools or she happens to find the piece he needs, she'll get them and gift them to him when she sees him.

As for her expecting something in return... It will be appreciated if it happens, but she doesn't expect it. She doesn't gift things just so she can get stuff back, but because she wants to make her friends happy, and that's enough for her.

Background: She’s a civilian who met and befriended Arroth once he was out of the noble area and healed. Sharcai’s father met her one of the times he was on patrol and offered her a place as a bodyguard in the palace, which she accepted as a way to ensure she’d be able to help her friends from the inside if it was ever needed.

Occupation: bodyguard.

Trivia.

She's a gentle giant... who will not have any doubts in crushing you if you harm her loved ones.

She's one of the few hybrids that has been allowed in the queen's home and could provide details if someone ever planned to overthrow her.

Sooo... Did I ever mention that before I started interacting with people with my Vor'iek, I shipped two of my muses, particularly Arroth with Zaihnaeth?

Arroth was in love with her but never told her because he didn't feel like he was good enough for her due to him being a hybrid and she a civilian. Still... I think they'd make a cute couple. Would be an interesting relationship I think.

Arroth would have, among other things, to get used to being coiled around for a hug without panicking, and to understand that it's alright to love her despite what others might say.

Zaihnaeth would have to be gentle with him and eventually convince him that it's okay that they love each other, that he's deserving of love too.

So yeah, they're one of my ships... One that unfortunately doesn't get enough attention since I started shipping Arroth with other people xD.

Warm & Cozy Descartes for Zainaeth

Zaihnaeth is surprised for a moment by the sudden snuggling coming from a stranger, but hey, she's not going to complain. In fact, she's gonna hug them back. Some people like or worry enough to share heat with the Vor'iek when it's cold, as it was today, so she appreciates the warmth. "Thank you, stranger."

A couple more headcanons:

Arroth loves motorbikes, though he's never ridden one so far.

Eive is secretly a cuddler.

Ixion, Eive's stepbrother, likes fighting, going for drinks and spending time with her and the rest of the muses.

Hyperion has different types of tools in his forge. While he finds more enjoyment in the traditional ways, he will use advanced tech when needed.

Zaihnaeth has a few siblings.

Nis'ien is curious about life above and in other worlds.

Zaihnaeth tilted her head. "Does that happen often to you?"

Arroth left Eive’s home and walked towards Zaihnaeth’s, knowing it would be close to the time when she arrived home. A while later, he was there and knocked on the door.

“Arroth!”-she came out of the house and hugged him. “It’s been a while! How have you been?”

He chuckled and hugged her back. “Hey. I know, it’s really been too long. I’ve been more or less fine, but um… Can we talk? Somewhere private, if possible.”

“Ah, don’t worry. My siblings aren’t around at this time.” She guided him into the house and they sat down. “So, what is it?”

“I uh… Gods, this is kind of embarrassing to ask. Do you… think Ixion likes me? As in more than friends.”

She blinked, surprised by the question. “I mean… He looks at you a lot when you don’t notice. Remember that time when we watched the meteor shower? How do you think he caught you staring at him?”

“Fair point, but it’s just one time-”

“Any time whenever we’re together, Arroth. Honestly… I’m surprised you’re not together by now. I know Eive and I ship you two.”-she chuckled.

He blushed. “But I…”

She tilted her head. “What’s the problem?”

“I… Remember when I broke the mating bond? How much it hurt? How… How Ixion was there for me? I… Mating season arrived when we were together… And we… Well. You can imagine.”

She blinked. “I see. And?”

“What do you mean, and? Once it was over, I felt bad! Because- Because I had used him as a rebound and to not feel so alone and sad! It wasn’t right!”

“Have you ever asked him how he felt back then?”

“I-”-he shut up. Had he? “…No… I… I talked to him and told him it would be better to remain friends because I needed time to recover. And he… he accepted that.”

She nodded. “That’s what I thought. You know… Ixion sometimes keeps his true feelings hidden well so we’re not hurt, but he gets hurt instead.” Her eyes softened. “If you think enough time has passed… If you truly like him… Then what’s stopping you from telling him and being together?”

“Zaih…” Arroth looked at her, serious. “I’m… in an open relationship at the moment.”

She paused. “Well… Doesn’t that mean you could be with him and the other at the same time then? There might be some… complications when it comes to mating bonds in the future. I’m not entirely sure it can be done between three people, but still… If you like them, you should go ahead, Arroth.”-she gently cupped his cheek. “You deserve to be happy too, you know?”

Tears appeared in his eyes. He... deserved it? “I- But…”

“No buts, friend. If you want Ixion, go talk to him. Tell him everything. Ask him to tell you how he feels. Ask him if he’d be willing to be in a throuple.”

“…Would I be enough for both of them? Am… Am I worthy?”-he muttered, looking away.

Zaihnaeth purred softly to comfort him, touching foreheads with him. “Of course you are, silly! And so long as you talk things out between the three of you, I believe you should be fine.”

"...Okay... Okay. Thank you, Zaih."-he said, hugging her. "I... I guess I'll be talking with him later..."

"Good. Whatever happens, Arroth... We'll always be friends, okay?"-she said softly, and he hugged her a bit tighter.

"Thank you. That means a lot."

"I would have been very surprised if it had been a different answer"-said Zaihnaeth, chuckling.

A few more headcanons

Both Eive and her stepbrother, Ixion, have a high resistance to alcohol.

Arroth becomes cuddly when he's feeling tipsy.

The same happens to Zaihnaeth.

Hyperion simply doesn't get drunk, or at least he hasn't found his limit yet.

Sharcai doesn't drink. He's seen enough fights on the tavern caused because of the alcohol and prefers to keep a clear head.
