The Squad in their current form.
(you'll notice that Pengaz's type and ability are different from the introduction post. This is to make it more accurate to Pokemon Clover, the ROM Hack that it originated from. In spite of these corrections I kept the 'z' because SMG4.)
(also Ralts now has an Ability. Can't believe I forgot that.)

More xmen pokemon AU!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This time I've drawn my fave siblings!! (i have more drawings on the way 😸)
Using this post to explain a bit of Raven & Charles! 😼
Just like in FC, when they both where kids, Charles found Raven & she was formally adopted by the xavier fam! Unluckyly for them the xavier fam where still really bad 😿. They where not really into keeping pokemon as pets (& viewed them as just means to an end) too. They still secretely kept their companion pokemons (Abra and Ditto + a pair of eevees) throughout their childhood. Both Charles and Raven where 2 years advanced in their highschool so they got to get out early - Charles at 18 and Raven at 16.
Once they got out, Charles studied genetics & based his thesis on the evolution of mutants but in the world of pokemon & reasarched the general evolution of pokemon (not lvl up evo, like theory of evolution stuff). Raven studied fashion & like designing clothes stuff
Eventually, Raven would change her last name to Darkholme (to fully remove herself from her adopted fam except Charles) and open a butique, named 'Mistique'. Charles couldn't bear to change his last name, so he kept it. He started teaching in Naranja/Uva academy (thinking of having both & them just being like diff sections of the academy) in Paldea.
Sometime around here they would obtain the pokemon they have to honour eachother. Charles would rescue a shiny Ralts from an evil organisation or smth (still working on the backstory) and it would remind him sm abt his sister he named her Raven. Raven would be gifted a Natu by Irene Adler 😻 and also just be so reminded of her brother that she named the Natu Charles. These two eventually would evolve into a shiny Gardevoir & a Xatu.
Anyways, love my pooks & I'm alr thinking of how Cherik would meet 🤩 and what the xkids would do for their "treasure hunt" 😋
(If anyone can read my shitty writing and wants to know what i based what Charles' teaching it's this awesome video made by Nick Rose on youtube!!)

Pokemon coloration: Shinies and Mutants.
Okay, so like, pretty much anyone who follows the pokemon fandom knows that there are regularly colored pokemon, and shiny pokemon, right?
And a lot of the time in fandom, shiny pokemon are portrayed as mutants/throwbacks/some other kind of malformed creature who's alternate coloration constitutes a serious issue when it comes to survivability/camouflage/whatever.
HOWEVER!
In the anime, several times we see pokemon that *are not the correct colors.* Things like a blue Breloom, a shroomish with white spots, or a green weedle.
Those are not the proper colors for either standard OR shiny pokemon of those breeds.
Shiny pokemon all have the same colors. In Gen2 of the games, shininess bred true.
That all leads me to this conclusion: Shiny Pokemon are not mutants, they're stable morphs.
If you don't know, when breeding snakes, there are scale patterns. And some of those scale patterns are more desirable than others. People breed snakes with similar or identical scale patterns together to create offspring that have the same scale patterns, in the hopes of eventually having a stable pattern that will breed true across generations. Once that happens, the pattern is recognized as a morph*
So. Shiny pokemon of the same species are generally uniform. Shininess breeds true. Therefor, shiny pokemon are morphs, and not mutants.
Which MEANS!
There are actual mutant pokemon in the world, in the form of colorations that are neither standard, or shiny!
So!!!
GO FORTH! WRITE THE SELF INDULGENT FICS WITH THE SILVER DRATINI OR THE BLACK RALTS!
THE EVIDENCE SUPPORTS YOU!
(Also the Red Gyarados was totally an Alpha pokemon, but that's for a different post.)
*Also, I don't know anything about breeding snakes, this is based on what I understand off a VERY brief look into it.

Heyo!
Since you've asked me about my Gardevoir and Gallade, I decided to ask you about your Pokemon! Specifically the ones of the Ralts line.
So tell me more about them! Any of them! Also I am very curious, how did Widow end up like that? Is she a mutant? A crossbreed? (is that the right word?) Aside from that- I'd love to hear about your Polemon!
(-@psychosis-solosis)
Hi there! Yes, of course I'd like to talk about my little guys! I love them all so much, I could talk about them for hours!
Widow is my most recent Pokémon from the Ralts line, and I... don't actually know what caused her to be like this? Muk and Gardevoir are in the same egg group, so I'm goin' to assume she's a crossbreed, like Scarlet.
And speakin' of Scarlet! She recently told me her parents were a Gardevoir and an Armarouge, which explains her Psychic/Fire typing! Scarlet is really cool, and she can sometimes be a little hot-headed (hehe) but she cares a lot for me and my other Pokémon! Especially Chili and Widow. :)
Chili is, as you probably guessed, Scarlet's daughter! She's tryin' her best to learn new moves, and she's almost perfected Ember! I'm so proud of her... :') Oh, fun fact! Scarlet already had Chili cookin' when I caught her! So I basically got a package deal when catchin' Scarlet, haha.
Tybalt is really into fightin'! He has a plush that he practices his punches with, otherwise he'll try to punch Chili... He's willing to fight pretty much everyone! I think he really wants to become a Gallade!
And finally... Orchid. Orchid's been with me since I was 11, and he's... my best friend. From the moment my parents gave him to me, he's done nothing but support me and help me out, and I love him for that. I wouldn't get rid of him for the world.

Could I request a geralt x reader based on quartet at the ballet from Anastasia? Or at least based on the quote “Someone holds her safe and warm, Someone rescues her from the storm” form the song please???💕💖💓🧡💘💞💘💜💛❤️💛
What a beautiful request! Thank you very much! I hope you like it as I interpreted it my way 💜 .
As always sorry for any mistakes.
Tumblr media
Geralt hates parties. He can’t stand the smells, the noise, noble people trying to outdo one another and show off their status. It’s all too much for his sensitive senses but he made a promise and he’s a man of his word. Of course it was Jaskier who convinced him to come along to this fancy ball and watch his back in case of an emergency or flirting gone wrong. The witcher had literally no other choice, he’s learned that when it comes to the bard, it’s easier to agree and help him than hearing his constant pleas and whining. That’s how he got where he is now. Sat at a small table that curved under all the food and drinks. At least I have that to enjoy, he thinks to himself pouring some more of that delicious Toussaint wine. As soon as they got here, Jaskier downed a few cups and went off to mingle with the crowd. Geralt followed the bard with his eyes just to be sure he’s not getting into trouble and to try tuning out the whispers. He could hear all of them. What is that mutant doing here? That came mostly from men. Oh, he looks lonely, I’d love to keep him company all night. Followed by feminine giggles. He’s learned to ignore them as much as possible, otherwise he’d go mad. He focused on the soft tune Jaskier was currently playing and breathed deeply. Though he never admits it, he really enjoys the bard’s talent. That’s when he saw her. A phenomenon, an angel sent to grace this solemn grounds with her presence. Geralt met a lot of women in his long years of living, a lot of beautiful women too, but he can’t remember being so enchanted before. Maybe she was a sorceress? A magical creature? But he couldn’t sense anything abnormal about her. Just to be sure, he decided to follow her with his perceptive eyes a little more. He saw her standing on the other side of the ballroom with other women. Everything she did was captivating – her gentle and polite smile, her pure laugh that could cure even a severed limb, but also her eyes. When she caught him staring for a brief moment, the witcher could swear he lost his breath for a second. He still couldn’t place what it was, but besides the obvious beauty, there was something else in them. A force to be reckoned with, courage, power. His observations only were proven right when a man approached her. He was lean and tall, but had something about his manners that made Geralt’s jaw clench. Trouble. He knew he shouldn’t but he focused a bit more on their conversation.
“May I have this dance, sweetheart?” The man asked, his words a bit slurred and leaned towards her a bit too much. Geralt’s fist clenched on it’s own. But the object of his current interest only rolled her eyes and replied something with a smirk which caused the man to drop his smug smile and walk away. The witcher’s lips twitched slightly in attempt to smile. She’s beautiful AND smart. He relaxed a bit when he felt a pat on his shoulder.
“Is everything alright Geralt?” asked Jaskier. “I could’ve sworn I saw something resembling a smile on your face. Do you need a healer?” The bard continued and followed his friend’s line of sight. Oh.
“Shut up, Jaskier. You’re already drunk.” Replied Geralt with a straight face and turned his eyes away from the woman. But the bard already connected the dots and smiled.
“That’s Y/N. She’s a close friend of Lady Catherine who owns this palace. I have to say – hard choice, my friend!”.
“I have no idea what are you talking about.” The witcher tried to hide his interest.
“Oh but you do. I have to warn you. Many have tried and fallen. She’s something else, I admit. Good luck.” With another pat on the witcher’s shoulder, Jaskier went away to charm another person. Geralt scoffed but searched the room for her presence again. She was standing outside on a balcony watching the cloudy sky and drinking wine. She looked so serene and peaceful, Geralt felt he is not worthy of intruding. Suddenly, a loud thunder pierced the sky and he noticed her getting startled and he heard her heart rate pick up. Her astonishing features turned into a deep frown and she went back inside immediately. The witcher felt the urge to go to her and protect her from anything that takes away that blinding smile off her face. As soon as he thought about that, another man approached her once more. Only this time she seemed friendly toward him and smiled almost shyly at whatever the man said. He took her hand and twirled her around to the middle of the floor. Of course it was Jaskier’s turn to shine again. Geralt could swear the bard knows him too well at this point when he heard him sing a slow ballad.
Can this be the evening?
Can this be the place?
Am I only dreaming looking at her face?
Everything I wanted, suddenly so clear
My past and my future so near…
Geralt wasn’t sure if he wanted to kill the bard, watch Y/N or stand up and leave. He found himself not able to do the latter. So he looked at her once again listening to Jaskier’s voice singing.
See that girl
Could it be?
Don’t be ridiculous!
I refuse to dream
I refuse to hope
I must stop believing…
Of course he noticed the way that man looked at her. He couldn’t blame him. And she seemed to feel good and content with him. Geralt’s stomach twisted.
She’s near at hand
Yet here I stand
My heart and mind at war
The times must change
The world must change
And love is not what revolution’s for.
Suddenly it dawned on him. He wasn’t worth her attention. And even more her affection, her love… Gods, what was happening to him? He wanted to smash something or punch someone in the face to find his balance again. But he couldn’t tune out the song.
Someone holds her safe and warm
Someone rescues her from the storm.
He was naive to think there was no man in her life. But he couldn’t deny the urge deep inside to protect her, to shield her from all things bad in this world. Even is she was perfectly capable of doing that herself. There was another twirl and he was almost sure she was looking at him but quickly looked away. She said something to her partner and went to sit by her  table and sipped some more wine. Geralt took his cup as well and looked up at her only to find her already watching him. But instead of shy smiles and blushed cheeks as he was used to, he saw her smirk at him as she rose her cup in a toast towards him. He felt almost euphoric but kept his composure repaying her with his own signature smirk and a rised cup. She stood up when the music was still filling the room and walked towards the balcony again watching him the whole time. Geralt gave in and decided to join her as soon as possible. As he was getting through the crowd he heard Jaskier still singing the song and his step quickened a bit more.
Simple things but one thing’s clear
It’s fate that brought us here.

okay guys abstract pokemon interpretation time
> arceus is either     I.) a soft cuddly ungulate who quietly governs the pokemon universe or     II.) a cosmic Lovecraftian horror of unfathomable, incomprehensible appearance whom is everywhere and nowhere, its tissue every universe, its veins every timeline, and its blood the circulation of all that creates and destroys everything. every organ is another countless realities, and its body is everything we will know and will never know. its ring and thousand arms outstretched are the templar of every atom’s being. That’s important to get out of the way.
> Dialga is a mutant liopleurdon, or another terrifying ancient aquatic dinosaur. I say this because I firmly believe that Palkia is a mutant jumbo shrimp. With wings.
> Giratina is your winged metamorphin’ centipede god that’s a given
> What the fuck is Meloetta
> If Cresselia is widely believed to be a swan, then it should be fair that Darkrai is actually a big dumb owl who keeps breaking my damn birdbath
> I like to headcanon the Ralts line as giant mantises, or animated suits of armor. An artist I look up to headcanons them as satyrs. All three are better than that damn furrybait. Honestly giant mantis is my favorite > Animated armor Ralts line™ were often paired with the Honedge line, as it was believed the positive energies (fairy-type) of a Gardevoir counteracted the negative energies (ghost-type) of an Aegislash.
> Also, while the fairy-type was being studied, it was first believed it was just a weird ghost-type due to their surprising similarities—but discovering that Pokemon like Mawile and Azumarill were possessing the energies of a now titled Fairy type, this put Pokemon typing science on its head. Now it’s seen as kind of silly that they were confused together, but it now explains why rookie aura-trained Lucario confused Pokemon like Misdreavus and Duskull with Spritzee and Clefairy. > “like seriously why’s Finnick putting the clefairy with the duskull they’re completely different types”
> I’m serious what is Meloetta, nymph is much too obvious
> Jirachi and Deoxys are related in a convoluted space alien way. In an even bigger reach, it’s not Jirachi and Deoxys that are related but Deoxys and Necrozma.
> Voltorb is perfect the way it is next
> Similarly to the Ralts line, the Pawniard line is either giant bugs or actually more animated armor. Going with the mantis side, the Pawniard and Ralts lines are related. Going with the animated armor side, there’s a myth that says the first Bisharp was created by the spirit of a vengeful samurai, cursed to a lifeless living after performing a spell that would make him immortal. hey don’t ask i just made this up
> Mr. Mime and Jynx stay the same humanoid things, and that’s the most disturbing thing to me than just saying they’re bugs or satyr or undead samurai or whatever > @nannycanes suggested that a Jynx was an actress’ wardrobe come to life, but what does that make smoochum, make-up? a doll?
> The genie trio actually kind of resemble their therian forms, but only barely. They’re kind of like freakish oni people that are birdish/lionish/whatever thundurus is supposed to be
> Steel types are the best this isn’t a headcanon this is actually fact
> Pokemon like Sharpedo, Weavile, and Tyranitar are actually extremely shy or reclusive. On the flip side, Pokemon like Bidoof and Cherrim are highly aggressive or difficult to maintain. However, Hydreigon’s just a big fat dick.
> Unown are known to be one of the shyest Pokemon, and highly unpredictable. They’re the bane of all scientists, since they don’t respond to testing well and are hyperaware of their surroundings. Not only this, but their “curiosity” has led to them doing... hard to describe things. This is why no one knows anything about them. It’s speculated that Unown do all of this on purpose, but this is biased as this opinion has come from only scientists who’ve researched them (and failed). > Specific note that all scientists have failed getting much out of Unown. Current information is just stitched together from loose reports and findings, many of which unusable as no one can repeat the procedures. > The bane of all scientists. Doesn’t matter if you’re a botanist they’ll fuck your plants up too
> The Litwick line has recently been known to possess modern lamps. There are specific instances of Chandelures possessing disco balls or ceiling fans, and research has stated that this is not at all harmful to the Chadelure, but depending on the nature of the Pokemon, can be dangerous to others. > Unlike Rotom, Litwick must attach its being to one specific object and grow into it alike to metamorphosis. The Pokemon spends its whole existence in whatever object it’s placed into, and is uninclined to move from it, which can be dangerous for the Pokemon if it possesses something that doesn’t have a safely guarded, flammable substance (be it candles, gas, or electric circuits).
> South America is real, source: Mew
> Everyone assumes that Pokemon lay eggs, but literally no one knows. Pokemon are shy breeding around humans or even other Pokemon. I’d say sex but even breeders don’t know
> Different colors on a Pokemon does not constitute shininess, though shininess often constitutes different colors. What indicates shininess is a gene that causes Pokemon to create certain hormones and oils in excess or lack of such, often meddling with their coats and such. Despite poaching, shiny Pokemon coats can often be very fragile and poor quality for fashion. Don’t poach. > Breeding for shininess can often lead to unhealthy baby Pokemon in the hands of an inexperienced breeder, and inbreeding in experienced ones, which has left a plethora of regulations on Pokemon breeding.
> Still don’t know what Meloetta is
> Toxapex and Mareanie are universally agreed to be the worst Pokemon in terms of handling. They’re overly aggressive and manipulative, highly finicky, and lethargic. A competitive trainer with a well behaved Toxapex is rare and to be feared.
> Scientists have proposed making the Latios and Latias species considered the same, due to the fact they simply have wild sexual dimorphism. The reason why this isn’t so is because of the same reason the Nidoran family aren’t classified as the same: “different statistics, dawg“.
> Bugs
> In some circles in Unova, Musharna has taken the same role Hypno has, which is considered coincidental due to how they share a recent common ancestor. However, Musharna are recognized to be much more benevolent than Hypno, which is very assuring that they won’t take you away in your sleep. They totally could, though.
> The Gothita line are organisms that basically resemble living dolls. Theories of the Shuppet and Gothita lines being related have been passed around, but due to the Shuppet line being non-organic, this is highly unlikely. > “gothita is heavily pressured into behaving and appearing appropriately not only by their trainers, but their peers. A gothitelle that lounges upside-down on the couch and drinks lemonade while watching reality TV is rare“ —@nannycanes
> “ Meloetta is a super specialized locust. It's dormant form has such fine wings that when it rubs them like a cricket, the unique sound mimics human song while it holds it's mouth open to cool off from expending the energy. Playing the right song activates a hormone trigger in the brain that causes a rapid metamorphosis into its more aggressive and hungry swarming life stage. “ —my friend dev
> I’m almost 15 and don’t have a life how sad

(had an idea for when everyone's eventually trying to save the CCC Avatars. It somewhat relies on Blotch finally finding out about Tama just barely too late to finally reunite thanks to the whole Project Thunder thing. And, well, it's pretty obvious where they ended up from an IRL standpoint since it's an actual video game and thus very public, but where exactly it is within the digital multiverse is harder to figure out thanks to Mr. L and the CCC's security. So everybody's working together on some... investigating.)
*in the darkest corners of the digital multiverse, the True dark web, Viruses reign supreme. And in this particular area, few are more powerful than the Coalition of L33T. We look now at a fleet of L33T warships stationed in a space-age-based server at the edge of Admin-controlled space, where the flagship is currently being infiltrated and sabotaged by a certain cat, who is decidedly unconcerned with stealth. she wants them to know she's here*
Blotch: *reaches the bridge, where several robotic viruses are scrambling to assess the damage to their ship's systems, and waits for all their eyes to be on her* I have a message, and a question. A message from the Avatars, and a question from me. Where. Is. My. Sister?
L33T Viruses: ...
Blotch: Oh don't give me those blank looks. *walks so she's between them and a window that shows a small part of their massive fleet* The Coalition of L33T monitors this entire quadrant. You hear everything. So you tell me where the Connected Cosmos server is. You tell me, and I'll be on my way.
L33T Leader: ...Wh4t 15 7h3 4v474r5' m3554g3?
*on cue, the ships seen outside the window behind Blotch start exploding, with Laharl and a misshapen black-and-purple Gardevoir visibly tearing the nearest one apart with their bare hands*
Bloch: *not reacting at all to the destruction behind her* ...would you like me to repeat the question?

Mutant Pokémon
The creations of the mad Doctor Splicer in the SMG Pokémon Anime Universe. The new Porygon evolutions technically aren't mutants but Splicer did program the items that cause said evolutions, so they're on the list. Also, the Porygon evos are officially in the Donanda Pokedex because those programs were written and made open source a few years ago, and so are Psyduck and Golduck because a bunch of specimens escaped into the wild at some point a long time ago and they integrated into the ecosystem well enough that they were mistaken for a newly discovered Regional Variant. The rest are only registered after the twerp squad encounter and defeat Splicer the first time (he escaped afterwards), and aren't considered native to any region.
(Note: Shinies are on the right. I'll add more drawings as I make them)

Ultrazard actually isn't revealed during the initial Lab Raid, instead it's revealed during the League (which will happen after the Vacation Arc) where one of Jet's matches ends up being against Doctor Splicer in disguise, who after revealing himself traps himself and Jet on the battlefield using force fields and makes Jet battle the final evolutions of all his creations (except Gardevior, he has a Gallade who's apparently Ash's Gardevoir's brother) one after the other to try and prove that they're superior to normal Pokemon. Yes, that's a seven Pokemon team. Do you think a maniac like him gives a shit?

Alright, so; about the Pokemon I was planning on having evolve while guarding Luminos castle. Obviously in all cases it's going to involve some ghosts making it past Dragonair's lightshow barricade one way or another (apart from Dragonair's own evolution which will involve fighting a particularly powerful ghost so it can't rip the barricade to shreds).
Jet's Eevee evolves into a ghost-type eeveelution I call Guardeon, which is based on Church Grims and usually only evolves in graveyards but massive ghost hurricane works too apparently. Not sure when exactly it happens. Jet's Guardeon has the ability Enspirit (the one I made up that's basically Pixelate but Ghost), so now its best moves are Super-Effective against the ghost army instead of doing absolutely nothing.
Ash's Mutant Kirlia evolves while helping Valiant and some guards deal reclaim an Armory that got taken over by a bunch of ghosts that focus on possessing objects...like all the weapons and armor in there. Also the guards find out the hard way that the Mutant Ralts line is just as amorphous as the Grimers and Muks they're hybrids with because at one point Kirlia gets cut clean down the middle down to her waist and just schlorps back together as if nothing happened after drooping like a banana peel for a few seconds.
Miku's Donandan Dragonair ends up facing a massive, extremely powerful Music Dragon named Dirge that was slain by Luminos' previous Songbird. She eventually manages to take him down via a combination of being a Dragon/Ice Type with Refrigerate and a bunch of debuffing moves, Dirge only becoming a ghost a few minutes ago and thus still having the muscle memory of a living dragon, and Dragonair evolving into a regional evolution called Dragaurora (stays Dragon/Ice, ends up as a big green serpentine dragon with a Dragonite-esque face and whiskers. They get mistaken for Rayquaza a lot and are based on that one aurora borealis that looks like a green dragon that was a whole big thing a few years ago) and learning Dragon Ascent (you can understand why they get mistaken for Rayquaza so much). End result is that he gets a diving supersonic dragon between the shoulderblades immediately followed by a planet to the chest. Doesn't discorporate him but it does knock him out for the rest of the arc.
Also, not evolution-related, but I'm guessing that when Lumiere shows up wanting to help Absol's the one who vouches for him, on the grounds that according to her Danger Sense there's a considerably higher chance of them failing if they don't hear him out than there is a chance of him stabbing them in the back if they do, and the latter they'd at least see coming and be able to deal with since, you know, it's him.

Some ideas I've had for new Pokemon Abilities
Abilities similar to Normalize, Pixelate, etc.: (so they convert Normal Type moves into another type and give them a slight power boost)
Liquify- Water
Ignite- Fire
Vegetate- Grass
Fossilize- Rock
Erode- Ground
Mechanize- Steel
Infest- Bug
Exercise- Fighting
Inspirit- Ghost
Toxify- Poison
Corrupt- Dark
Drakonize- Dragon
Abilities similar to Scrappy and Corrosion (so ignores immunities):
Uninsulated- Electric Type moves will affect Ground Types
Miracle Vision- Psychic Type moves will affect Dark Types (originally intended as a signature ability for a Mega Jirachi concept)
Manifest- Ghost Type moves will affect Normal Types
Mudslinger- Ground Type moves will affect Flying Types
Glittering Fangs- Dragon Type moves will affect Fairy Types
Tied to specific Fakemon ideas: (I won't be including Forme Change abilities since those kind of need pictures for context)
Patch Job- When the Pokemon is returned without fainting, the next Pokemon to enter battle will be healed a little. The signature ability of Doodoll and Cellouette, and one of the signature abilities of Animaniq.
Slapstick- The Pokemon takes half damage from contact moves, and its Defense is raised by one stage whenever it's hit by one. The other signature ability of Animaniq, which it gets if it evolves from a Cellouette with Dancer (which in turn gets that from a Doodoll with Synchronize).
Blast Sheild- The Pokemon does not take damage from explosion-based moves, and is not knocked out when it uses Explosion and its variants. The signature ability of Mega Electrode, though I did give it to Bob-omb and Bob-ulk in the SMG4 Factory Reset AU.
Event Horizon- Prevents all Pokemon from leaving battle, like Shadow Tag and Arena Trap. The signature ability of Geomatrix since it's basically a living microscopic black hole.
Sand Bath- Functionally identical to Earth Eater, just reflavored for something that isn't a giant worm with a muppet mouth. A hidden ability I came up with for a Ground-Type Eeveelution called Dusteon a few years ago before Orthworm was even a Thing.
Sunbathe- Identical Comatose but the Pokemon also heals in harsh sunlight. The signature ability of a Normal/Grass evolution of Komala called Koalimb.
Out of Body- Comatose combined with Long Reach. The signature ability of a Normal/Psychic evolution of Komala called Astroala.
Inebriated- Comatose but the Pokemon also can't be Confused. The signature ability of a Normal/Fighting evolution of Komala called Kowhallop.
Amplifier- All sound-based attacks increase in power when used in succession. Echoed Voice is not affected due to already having this property. The signature ability of the Normal/Fairy Donandan Smeargle and its evolution Borkestra, who are musicians instead of painters and learn exclusively sound-based moves on level-up instead of exclusively Sketch.
Knight's Code- The Pokemon cannot exit battle if the opponent's level is equal or greater than theirs. The signature ability of the Electric/Steel Donandan Gallade (the rest of the Donandan Ralts line is Electric/Dragon, and can have either Synchronize or Rough Skin, but Gallade can only have Knight's Code.)
Magnetize- When this Pokemon is on the field, no-one's Electric Type moves are able to miss. The signature ability of the Psychic/Electric Donandan Psyduck (Mutant Psyduck in Factory Reset), and one of the signature abilities of Donandan Golduck.
Electrokinesis- Electric Type moves also do Psychic Type damage (calculates the same way as Flying Press). The other signature ability of Donandan Golduck, who will have it if it evolves from a Psyduck with Anger Point.
Phase Shift- Every other turn, the Pokemon goes out-of-phase from the rest of the universe and cannot use or be directly affected by any moves. Items will still work for game balance reasons. The signature ability of the Bug/Dragon Legendary Enigmoth.
Crumble- After five turns, the Pokemon's Speed and Defense are halved. The signature ability of the Ghost Type Regiruin.
Pollution- When this Pokemon enters battle the air is filled with toxic gas for five turns (or until someone uses Defog). During that time any Pokemon that can be Poisoned will be and any Pokemon that can't will have their Special Defense lowered, including the Pokemon responsible. The signature ability of the Poison Type Regismog.
Incomprehensible- All Pokemon who see this Pokemon will be confused. Does not affect Pokemon who can't be confused, Pokemon with something obscuring their vision (hair, closed eyes, Minior before its shell breaks, etc.), or Pokemon who are just plain blind like Sliggoo and Zubat. The signature ability of the Psychic Type Regiwarp.
Crusade- If the Pokemon lands a Super Effective attack, its Attack and Special Attack go up by one stage. If it misses any attack, it takes damage. The signature ability of the Dark Type Regirook.
Haunted- The Pokemon functions as though it is a Ghost Type in addition to whatever other types it has. The signature ability of the Grass/Fire Mega Gourgeist.
Natural Curse- Any Pokemon who cames into contact with this Pokemon become Grass Type for the rest of the battle. The signature ability of Mega Trevenant.
Miscellaneous:
inner Fire- Identical to Haunted but for Fire Types. Technically it's exclusive to a certain Pokemon but that has to do with spoilers for the Papa Meowth AU fic I'll hopefully actually write someday.
Contagious- Contact with the Pokemon either Poisons the opponent, replaces the opponent’s ability with Contagious, or both. It would be a signature ability for the Electric/Poison Donandan Pikachu and Raichu, but I also came up with a pure Poison type called Atchu based on a cold virus that has that as its only ability.
Clean Sweep- When the Pokemon enters battle it removes all entry hazards (including ones you've set on the opponent's side) and prevents any more being set as long as it's on the field.
Atomic- The power of Explosion and its variants is doubled
Mind over Matter- Huge Power but for Special Attack

Avatar Ash & Co. Pokémon Teams
So obviously traveling in a new region with new companions means new Pokémon, but I've never actually said what any of those new Pokémon are. So here we go!
(I'll draw the new new ones at some point. Also by the current point in the AU timeline the group's almost but not quite at the third gym (Anime Pacing Baybeeee!) so most of them haven't evolved yet. And they're in catch order.)
Ash's Team
Pikachu (obviously)
Bullot The Peashooter Pokémon Grass/Flying Ability: Sniper Description: A green parrot with a disproportionately large head and beak, and a circular hole in the front of the beak in place of nostril holes, which it fires seeds from at high speeds.
Jellobe The Jelly Fish Pokémon Water/Psychic Ability: Gooey Description: You know those goldfish with the big lumpy foreheads. This is one of those exaggerated so it looks like it's about 70% brain by mass (because it is), which is floating inside a levitating, spherical, water-filled jellyfish. Based on brains in jars, fish in bowls, and symbiotic relationships. The Water-Type Starter.
Pengaz The Pingas Pokémon Normal Ability: E E G It's that one meme Fakemon that looks like a Robotnik head.
Ralts (Mutant Forme) The Altered Pokémon Poison/Dark A mutated version of Ralts created by a mad scientist bent on world domination. It was created by splicing Ralts DNA with Alolan Grimer DNA, resulting in it consisting mainly of dark purple goo, which it has trouble controlling the consistency of. Its hair is uneven and an even darker shade of purple than the rest of it, its horns are jagged, overgrown and toxic green (its eyes are also green but you can't usually see that thanks to the hair), and its right arm has the little crystals Alolan Grimer and Muk have while the left only exists at all when Ralts focuses on it. Despite all the oddities and how painful they look at first glance, by all accounts Ralts is a perfectly happy, healthy Pokémon.
Miku's Team
Farfetch'd (already mentioned) Ability: Defiant
Flindit The Sharpshooter Pokémon Fire/Rock Ability: Blaze Description: A small red and grey rattlesnake with a piece of flint in place of a rattle and two rows of smaller flint spines running down its back. It can crack the flint on the end of its tail like a whip to shoot high-speed sparks at far-off opponents. The Fire-Type Starter.
Rolitroli The Transport Pokémon Type: Bug/Steel Ability: Off-Road (Certain Moves and terrain cause the Pokémon to change Forme) Description: Has two Forms. In On-Road Forme it looks like a cross between a centipede and a bus, while in Off-Road Forme it curls up into a wheel. It On-road is the default, and it changes into Off-road if it uses a Ground or Rock type move or is battling on rugged terrain. This boosts its speed and Physical Defense, but lowers its Physical Attack. It's the middle stage of one of the region's Early Route Bugs.
Cherrim ...This Pokémon already exists and only has one possible ability.
Meowth (Mutant Forme) The Cheshire Pokémon Type: Ghost Ability: Shadow Tag Description: Made by the same scientist as Ralts. A tall, lanky Meowth that's very obviously made of fabric. Mostly purple and stripey, with actual socks for paws, a button in place of a coin, eyes with alternating green and blue rings, the head of a broom in place of the usual curl at the end of its tail, and a massive shark-tooth grin. Based on the Cheshire Cat, a witch's cat, sock monkeys, and haunted dolls.
Jet's Team
Pyukumuku Ability: Innards Out
Snugleaf The Bundled Pokémon Grass/Bug Ability: Grass Pelt Description: A pale yellowish-green spider wrapped up in a big bundle of bright green leaves, with only its nervous-looking face and front four legs peeking out. The second stage of the Grass Starter.
Bob-Omb The Detonation Pokémon Fire/Steel Ability: Blast Shield (The Pokémon is immune to explosion-based moves, and can use Self-Destruct, Explosion, and Misty Explosion without fainting) Description: It's a Bob-Omb, what do you want from me?
Eevee Ability: Adaptability
Psyduck (Mutant Forme) The Fucking Snapped Pokémon Psychic/Electric Ability: Electrokinesis (Electric Type Moves also do Psychic Type damage [follows similar rules to Flying Press]) Description: Yep, all three of them ended up with one of that nutjob's creations. Jagged black-and-yellow feather pattern, ruffled feathers, angry eyes. Its eternal headache now effects a different part of its brain due to overexposure to electricity, unlocking the full extent of its psychic abilities, overriding its original type, and changing the pain's effect from confusion to white-hot unending RAGE.
SMG29's Team
Nidorina Ability: Poison Point Well, Female Nidoran is #29 after all.
Eggdog The Eggdog Pokémon Egg/Dog Ability: Bork
SMG30's Team
Glimmet Ability: Toxic Debris
Donandan Shuckle (yeah I settled on Donanda as the region name. Luke's Australian, sue me.) The Mold Pokemon Bug/Steel Ability: Heatproof Description: The shell is bigger, kind of blocky, and dull green and metallic grey instead of red and white. The head and legs look more-or-less the same.
Jessie's Team
Note: Jessie and James decided to stick to two previous team members each (outside of emergencies) so they could focus on training the new recruits.
Wobbuffet Ability: Telepathy (by process of elimination because there is no way that any of Team Rocket's Pokémon have Shadow Tag)
Seviper Ability: Shed Skin
Donandan Pikachu The Scorpion Mouse Pokémon Electric/Poison Ability: Contagious (Any physical contact will either poison the other Pokémon, change their ability to Contagious, or both) Description: A bit shorter and bulkier than the usual Pikachu, with darker fur, a long vertical stripe running from the top of its head to the base of its tail (it still has the two horizontal stripes on its back), the cheek pouches are now raised and angular like frills or tufts of fur, the tail is mostly the same except it has that black marking on the end people used to keep thinking the normal one had and a long stinger thing running down from the bottom corner of the end, the black on the ears is bigger and a bit jagged like Pikachutwo's. The idea of Jessie just randomly ending up with a special Pikachu that isn't Ash's amuses me for some reason.
Vineper The Scrawny Pokémon Grass/Normal Ability: Dry Skin Description: Look up blunt-headed tree snakes. That but as a cartoon character.
James's Team
Amoongus Ability: Regenerator This is partially because I'm planning on introducing a regional variant of Foongus with a new evolution, the third gym leader has that evolution as their Ace, and I want James's Amoongus to develop a rivalry with that Pokémon. Because Pokémon Anime.
Mime Jr. Ability: Filter
Grattle The Padded Pokémon Grass/Ground Ability: Thick Fat Description: Cross between a rattlesnake and the Tsuchinoko. It's a counterpart to Vineper.
Geomatrix The Singularity Pokémon Ghost/Psychic Ability: Event Horizon (Prevents all Pokémon on the field from escaping until this Pokémon either faints or wins) Description: A bunch of colorful geometric shapes orbiting a single point. At that point is the actual Pokémon, which is microscopic and can only interact with anything on the Macro scale by using its powerful telekinetic abilities.
Not Caught but Follows the Characters
Doodoll The Hand-Drawn Pokémon Ghost Ability: Patch Job (When the Pokémon is switched out, the Pokémon that replaces it regains some HP) Description: A black-and-white paper doll. Doodoll and its evolutions feel the pain of nearby people and Pokémon as if it was its own, and will do whatever it can to heal them so that the pain stops, though some will actually use this ability to actively seek out those who need help. This one in particular has decided to be the TRio's new medic and isn't taking no for an answer, and none of them have thought to just catch it because they're idiots.
Grant's Team
Bunnelby Ability: Pickup
Donandan Bidoof The Plump Mouse Pokémon Dark/Normal Ability: Contrary Description: Its fur is now a dark muddy brown instead of the usual bright brown, and is so soggy and shaggy that it covers its eyes. Unlike most Regional variants, there is no difference in behavior or personality from the usual version.
Snizzle The Frost Pokémon Ice Ability: Icy Scales Description: Ice Snake.
Laser's Team
Buneary Ability: Clutz
Heeliant The Heel Pokémon Bug/Dark Ability: Prankster Description: Anthropomorphic ant that cheats at boxing. It and a Bug/Fighting Type called Roughiant (the Comeback Pokémon) are branching evolutions of a pure Bug type called Sgrub (the Larva Pokémon). Sgrub has absolutely terrible stats and the ability Defeatist, and evolves into Roughiant if it knocks out 100 Pokémon or Heeliant if it faints 100 times. It's a sports movie Pokémon line. With ants.
Pondypus The Platypus Pokemon Water Ability: Poison Point Actually I have a picture of this one
Tumblr media
It's an old picture, admittedly, so I'll redo it when I draw the other ones.

Honestly kind of burnt out on the Arle Arc so you're getting bullet points.
First off, the portal opening up in Bolero's throne room is due to the confrontation in Primp Town. The combination of Literally Everyone revealing that they've figured out there's something up with her, the Compile trio revealing they know she's Doppel, seeing Ava, and the continuing deterioration of her stability causes Arle to panic and reflexively use the portal command to go somewhere safe. The last place she felt safe was the castle, and her doubled Avatar power and poor mental state cause the portal to show up on the ground and Way Too Big, so everybody falls through.
This of course causes more stress and confusion instead of less, and she looks about two seconds away from a panic attack, when Peony manages to recognize her despite the different form and says "Dapple, is that you?"
And that's what breaks her
Her transformation spell goes haywire and she starts flickering between all the different Alternate Costumes that both Arles have gotten over the years, then it "settles" on some kind of massive, mismatched cat monster thing, and then she busts out of the castle and runs off into the wilderness, Ava, Carbuncle and Frenzy close behind and everyone else doing their best to catch up
Ambrosia picks a bad time to feel vindicated about Pierrot actually hiding something sinister (we gotta add humor in here somewhere), and Shantae deduces why exactly she turned into That Thing; shapeshifters, especially magic-based shapeshifters, absolutely have to maintain a strong sense of self or they'll lose themselves to the masks they wear, and during times of great stress and uncertainty the magic of a shapeshifter with a poor sense of self will try, and fail, to mesh all those different identities into a coherent whole
Anyway, Arle ends up running into a cave. But not just any cave; this is the Echo Chambers, one of the most dangerous locations in Harmonia (and an area intended for lategame in The Cloud's Songbird). It's a shifting labyrinth of enchanted, highly reflective crystals with weird acoustics, made more dangerous by the fact that Lumiere filled it with powerful monsters during the game's main campaign, and unlike most of his minions they didn't get any weaker or less numerous following his defeat
It's at this point that the big group realizes that Tama isn't with them, though they assume that she's still at Bolero's castle, while Frenzy discovers that she's actually hitched a ride in his quills because she wants to help Miss Arle. Or Miss Pierrott. Whichever she is. And she can indeed help, because she can hear Arle and give Frenzy directions towards her
The big group tries to figure out how exactly they're supposed to find Arle when she's lost in a magic maze, and Ash comes up with an idea; he sends out Jellobe and Kirlia (yes Ralts evolved at some point), because even as a Dark Type mutant Kirlia can still sense emotions, and since Jellobe knows Miracle Eye it can act as an amplifier for that empathic sense. Perfect for tracking somebody with That Much emotional turmoil
Ava and Caruncle don't need that sort of help because Ava always knows where Arle is since they're connected
As all this is happening Arle's now deep in the maze and manages to pull herself together into her Doppelganger Arle form, though with Dapple's ears and tail and normal Arle's weird sleeve things, and she ends up confronted by her own reflection.
A lot of her own reflection, all in different Alts, with the main one being a Shadow like the ones Meggy, SMG4 and Mario have had to deal with in the past
won't go into detail Because Bullet Points but it basically boils down to telling Doppel that all her attempts to be Arle were completely pointless and she's screwed herself over and may as well just be Nothing, and she ends up listening, which results in one more transformation. the colored parts of her outfit turn grey, her face disappears entirely, and she slumps down onto her knees in defeat while the chamber around her seals itself off from the rest of the maze
The main group gets stuck dealing with Lumiere's monsters, while Frenzy, Tama, Ava and Carbuncle reach the sealed entrance to Doppel's chamber
They then also get confronted by Shadow Arle, who tries to do more of the usual Shadow stuff to a completely unphased Ava, then agrees to open the way if they can beat her, a Pierrot reflection and a Dark Arle reflection
Tumblr media
in a 4v3 puyo battle (she's being generous to the two noobs in the party by not bringing in a fourth reflection)
-they obviously manage to beat the Arles and make it through to Blank Arle, who everyone but Ava is shocked to see in that state
-Ava walks up to her, which actually prompts Arle to rapidly scooch away against the far wall and brace herself for an attack, because why wouldn't what's left of Arle want to retaliate after what Doppel did to her
-Ava is undeterred and keeps going up to her as if nothing happened...and holds its hand out, offering to help Blank Arle back up on her feet.
-There's some hesitation, but eventually Arle takes the offered hand, and after they stand up Ava actually pulls her into a hug, and despite the lack of a face it's clear from how badly she's shaking that she's started crying
-they're engulfed in blinding light, and when it clears Ava and Blank Arle have been replaced by Arle and Dapple, with Dapple now visibly and audibly sobbing uncontrollably and trying to say sorry through it while Arle just holds her and hums the same lullaby that Doppel had used to comfort her while she was fading
-the big group finally gets through the monsters and goes back to looking for the others, only for the small group to come to them
-In the aftermath it's revealed that Arle's now the one with all the Avatar Code, and Dapple is no longer an Avatar in any capacity (there's that permanent deactivation I mentioned. Note that at the time I never said death). Meanwhile Dapple apologizes to Bolero and Peony for deceiving them for so long, and says she understands if they never want to see her again...only for them to interrupt that train of thought by pulling her into their embrace, because they're just relieved she's alright now and want her to come home, and really that's what she wants too but didn't dare hope she'd get to do
-...she's definitely dropping that stupid accent now though

Pokemon Legends Neon
So.
This is going to be very messy because I only started coming up with any of this yesterday and mostly just have a few scattered ideas.
First off, it takes place in Unova in the distant future, haven’t decided if I’m gonna change its name like they did with Sinnoh/Hisui, where Something happened a while ago that royally screwed up most of the region and people have only recently started to rebuild. You get dumped there by presumably Arceus and join the group that’s spearheading the restoration, which is led by a descendant of Iris. Specifically you join the team that’s rebuilding and updating the Unovan Pokedex, a project led by Professor Cedar, who is both Bianca’s descendant and an absolute stone-cold badass.
The hub area is Nimbasa City, which is a lot bigger than it was in present day and has a bit of a cyberpunk-lite aesthetic. You get to the major areas via the subway system, which is manned by the current subway bosses. One is Ellen, who is very clearly a descendant of one of the brothers, and the other is Marcy, who is very clearly not. You’ll see what I mean when I eventually get around to drawing them.
The main goal of the game is somewhat similar to Legends Arceus, that being to defeat the local Giant Pokemon of Great Importance so they’ll calm down and stop causing problems. However, instead of their odd behavior being caused by time-space energy it’s being caused by strange devices attached to them by an unknown party, and instead of just waiting around in their arenas they’re actively rampaging, which causes unique area hazards until they’ve been dealt with.
The main areas(or at least the ones I’ve decided on so far) are, in no particular order:
Pinwheel Forest, which has grown to envelope most of the eastern peninsula.
The Central Desert, which is the biggest map in the game.
Chargestone Cave, which has a very different layout due to the passage of time and also someone releasing a bunch of Onix into it decades ago.
Castelia City, which is abandoned and overrun with different manmade pokemon, including freaky mutant regional variants of the Ralts line that were the result of an experiment gone wrong.
Virbank Coast, which includes Liberty Garden once you have the Surfing Ride Pokemon.
The Moor of Icirrus, which has extended to include Dragonspiral Tower and part of Twist Mountain.
Reversal Mountan, which has continued its transition into being an active volcano.
The Entralink, which would be a normal grasslands level if not for space being warped and twisted due to the Dream World bleeding in from Entree Forest.
Also, the starters I’ve gone with are Bulbasaur, Scorbunny and Piplup.
