All I could think while drawing Nami was, “Wouldn’t you like to know, weatherboy?” And, of course, with Robin I was thinking, “save a horse… 🥵”

Design Notes and other opining below the cut:

For Nami, I wanted to go for a mix of cocky Jersey mafia newbie and surfer boy. I like to think that some of the horrendous outfit choices that Sanji makes (especially in the movies) were actually picked out by Nami. She’s the shopper!!! But yeah, the vibrant swim trunks and graphic tees just scream Nami. I also wanted to put him in a wetsuit/rash guard because I think that’s a sexy look so sue me if you hate it. You cannot argue with me that Nami doesn’t wear swimsuits as clothes.

He’s toned but not as muscular as Robin or Luffy (for example) because he isn’t a front-line fighter, I want him to maintain the same kind of role that Nami has in the animanga. He’s the best navigator in the world!! I couldn’t decide if I wanted to change the violent tendencies that Nami has, but ultimately I think he’d still give the more deserving members of the crew a healthy wallop (although I might portray it more cartoonishly). Boy Piece!Nami still grew up under Arlong’s authority so he spent a lot of his childhood walking on eggshells to protect his village and his brother, Nojiko, so I think he never really got to learn “you’re not supposed to hit people just because they frustrate you” lesson. I gave him a shark-tooth necklace because surely Arlong had a few loose teeth to spare once Luffy took her down. Victory spoils LOL

If he can get the girls to stop wrestling and sit down quietly for a while, he likes to host card games (with betting, of course) or watch the clouds while sipping whatever fruity cocktail Sanji whips up. I believe that Canon!Nami is a total lesbian, and I can’t possibly envision a Nami who doesn’t like women so Boy Piece!Nami is bi. I am, of course, a Namivivi truther and Vivi is also a man in this AU. I don’t hate Sanami within this dynamic though… lots to think about.

Okay!!! All-shipper mindset aside, let’s talk Robin. I gave him long hair because 1) it’s hot and 2) I think it makes him look like Dragon. Yeahhh, I subscribe to the Luffy and Robin are half-siblings theory because I think it’s funny and makes some sense. Crocodile is 100% Luffy’s Mom in this AU and I think Robin knows it LOL

For his outfits, I wanted to lean a bit more Indiana Jones where I could; he’s still primarily cowboy inspired though. For the main look, I went with the Skypeia color palette hehe, I think Robin looks good in yellow. I did some flower-petal shaped color blocking on his chaps because I think it’s cute and subtle. I really love that the powers of the Hana-Hana-no-mi are like… unexpected for a “flower flower” fruit and I think Robin would be more aware that juxtaposition as a guy. You might also be wondering about the gloves and I initially just had it for his cowboy look but I decided to put them on all the outfits up until the events of Enies Lobby. Canon!Robin has a really difficult childhood and I think it’s exacerbated by the fact that she’s a girl on her own. If Robin was a boy, he’d probably have an easier time living on his own but would be a lot less emotionally open. All of these elements combine to make him want that physical barrier between his real hands and the world. Once he can trust that the Strawhats will always be there for him, he’s more willing to be more physically open.

I also think it’d be cute if he was much more of a coffee drinker :3c I see Canon!Robin as a connoisseur who likes a well-brewed espresso but Boy Piece!Robin needs a cup of joe (no matter its quality) every chance he can get. So I drew him with his special #1 ARCHAEOLOGIST mug.

I’m thinking girl Usopp is next despite the poll results because she’s on my mind rn (don’t hold me to this, LOL I’m fickle). 1.) When is the demo coming out?

-We do have a deadline for when we want the demo to come out, but we're currently not sharing the date until we're totally sure it's achievable.

2.) Will there be multiple endings?

-We plan to have at least four different endings, maybe more?

3.) What platforms will the game be on?

-We're new at game development and coding, so most likely the game will only be on pc via Itch.io.

4.) Is this game for all ages?

-GOD NO, dead ass this is damn near a gooner game. Minors are NOT welcome to play this game and are NOT welcome on this blog.

5.) Will the game be free?

-Due to the violent and sexual nature of the game, the demo will have a paid version and a free version that will be censored. The full release will cost money and will not have a free censored counterpart.

6.) How many love interests are there?

-Only two, but a few side characters will have sprites in the final game, so while it will not be canon, ship whoever you want! Make crackship's idc I wanna see them!!!

7.) Am I allowed to do fan art?

-OFC YOU ARE!!!! Please do, we only ask you to tag us in it and credit us properly.

My primary WIPs are set in an urban fantasy world I call the Shapeshifter universe, or Shifter!verse for short.

Set in a modern-day version of our own world, Shapeshifter is a low-magic urban fantasy setting. Magic is a subtle force, incapable of knitting wounds back together or creating fireballs, but a force all the same. Werewolves, vampires, witches, and all manner of supernatural creatures exist openly in the world in small numbers. In the United States, the largest numbers congregate in the city of Moressau on the coast of Washington.

Morressau has all the problems of a major city and then some. Vampire queens and werewolf mob bosses vie for territory and political power while the powers that be turn a blind eye as long as they get a cut. The regular folk do what they must to get by, carving out lives for themselves in a city that only sees the sun thirty days of the year, determined to find happiness in the dark corners of a city that cares for them as long as they care for it.

Most of the current focus of Shapeshifter is on the first book of the Moressau series, Into the Storm, and its trio of main characters. As a bonus, I've started a second WIP following two characters in a tiny mountain town in Wyoming called The Runaway. You can find out more of both below.

SYNOPSIS ( 15 ) : This universe takes place somewhere during the “ Rise of Villains Saga” dealing with the consequences of All Might's retirement and All For One's imprisonment, where there's seemingly peace to be had with the villains laying low and deviates from that point ; Toga is still homeless and dealing with that whilst also feeding somewhat into her blood lust when it's applicable. This is more of a free roam / long term verse that's heavily dependant on the interactions of muses that meet her ; kind of like a DnD type thing without the math and cool dice.

In this AU, Toga does as she hinted at in canon by "fitting" in again to survive the streets, she's turned to more criminal acts to "live" as she pleases with more blood on her hands but in a vigilante justice way with massacring those looking to take advantage of others and so on as a menial living.

• This blog follows a particular AU revolving around Fire Spirit and Wind Archer! It’s an evolving plot line based around Beast Yeast.

• The AU is called ‘The Moth Returns to the Salt��, (It doesn’t make any sense to the story dw 😞) and I don’t know how to explain the story but it should be under the tags of #crk the moth returns to the salt au or #biting the moth’s ashes.

Headcanons!!

• Fire Spirit inherited some dragon like behavioural patterns when revived, this includes things like hoarding up shiny trinkets and huffing harshly like a dragon would

• He cannot be left nearby any kind of foliage, he managed to disintegrate an entire forest’s greenery whilst attempting to help a lost cookie navigate through it

• His flames seem to correlate with his mood albeit subtly. They seem to grow brighter when he is frustrated and they seem to dim when he is upset.

• He can touch other cookies but not for too long, usually ends in a cookie obtaining singed dough. This leads to a somewhat fearful reputation of the legendary cookie, adding a further sense of isolation to the fact that he can barely initiate contact with another cookie.

• His ego nearly isn’t as big as it seems when you realise the bravado is just a facade. Fire spirit is a little lost and insecure yet never lets it slip.

• He has slight dragons features, this includes the idea that he has more claw like hands

• Poor skills in coordinating things, usually gets lost in what he was already doing when something else catches his attention

• Rarely needs to eat, only does so once in a while though as he does need to keep the eternal flame burning

• Has a kettle laugh (devsis told me, it’s canon)

I started reading Narnia in the second grade and a few days later when my mom took me to IKEA she lost me several times because I kept running off to climb into random wardrobes and it’s been an important part of my life ever since. Honestly this story has resonated with me for so long in so many really deep ways and has affected my life massively so I wanted a place where I could enjoy it and engage with other people.

While I have read the books most of my fics are more movie based with a few book details and a lot of random stuff thrown in so go into them knowing that!

Also I love talking to people about these characters and I’ll do my best to respond to comments, asks, messages etc.

ON INDEFINITE HIATUS howdy, i’m reuben! i’m a bigender (any/prns) artist, writer, and professional annoyance from florida. this is a sideblog of my main, @okapijohn, where i’ll be world-building and developing the culture of my warriors-inspired battle cat colonies!

at the moment, i have two main focuses: the yellowstone colonies (YC; ZFC & LWC), which take place in a setting inspired by yellowstone national park; and the vernal pools colony (VPC), which is set in an everglades national park-inspired world. their settings are the main inspirations for their cultures, so everything must align with the ecology of the area!

How's it ordered? Not at all lmao. Although if I have the energy I may at a later point update it to be ordered by word count. We'll see.

For formatting and organization:

▪︎ for the 'pairing' section included on some of the recs: if it has the pairing section, it lists the primary romantic relationship. If a rec does not have the pairing section, the primary focus is likely of a platonic nature or just not on the possible romantic aspects even if one or more is included in the fic. This also means that there may be minor relationships secondary to the main one, or implied past/future ones that are not the primary aspect of the story and we're thus not included

▪︎ included summary and [additional] tags are as were listed by the author on ao3

▪︎ listings w/ (mm/dd/yyyy) following their word count means a couple things: 1) as of the date listed (likely the last time the list was updated) that was the word count and 2) this means the fics is not complete

▪︎ recs that are incomplete but haven't updated in a while are proceeded by a red text forewarning that includes the date of last update

For updates: the list will be updated once a week IF i have an additions for it. Maybe twice if its a week where I devoured a lot of fics lol. I'll reblog this post w/ an update timestamp when I do for anyone interested.

Will prob also include a timestamped subsection w/ the newest inclusions to the list for easier navigation. So if I were to update the list on 5/2/24 I will include a subtab specifically for recent updates w/ a date.
