thinking about my final english presentation i had to do last year and how if it weren't for the fact that i had to share an equal amount of information on both novels and the 15 minute time limit i had i would have talked about dracula for an hour straight i love that book so much

#I COULDN'T EVEN SUMMARIZE THE WHOLE THING #i would have absolutely loved to to dive into the characters BUT I COULDN'T DO THAT EITHER BECAUSE I HAD TO BRIEFLY TALK ABOUT THEMES #WHICH I ALSO COULD HAVE GONE ON ABOUT BUT ALAS #my presentation was comparing (rather.. contrasting) gatsby and dracula #and the way i would have compared the homosexual themes in both but decided not to because i did not wish to be a victim of the classic #“oh she's gay so ofc she's gonna talk about gay stuff classic queer moment” yeah no i was not subjecting myself to hearing that #I JUST WANTED TO TALK ABOUT MY BLORBOS OKAY #JONATHAN HARKER BEING MOST BABYGIRL CRINEGFAIL MALEWIFE THERE IS #AND MINA BEING THE SLAYQUEEN GIRLBOSS #I WISH I COULD HAVE TALKED ABOUT THEM AND JUST THEM TBH #the swarm
