A New Beginning?
Look at all of the people. How many of them do you know? No familiar faces catch your eye. Where are your parent- oh right. Murder tends to make a person be absent, doesn't it? Now look over to either side. Do those people look familiar to you? No, you have never met them before. Have you? You can't remember.
You don't know anyone, and it's the perfect situation. Almost, anyways.
"Hello there.. I'm.. Aurora Landon, from America. Sadly I can't really hide it (this time around), but I'm the Super High School Esper.. Don't worry!.. I wouldn't do anything like that to a classmate. I'm just hoping to survive the school year and somehow make friends, I suppose. Let's have a great year."

I'm drowning, but it's alright.
I look into the water, expecting the norm. Of course I didn't get that, as the water showed black in my place. I can't touch it to make sure I'm still there, concealed by the darkness. It plays with me, realizing I'm too afraid to dive into it, embrace it, let it engulf me.
It taunts me by plaguing my thoughts, plaguing me. It knows everything about me, since in all reality, it is me, and I am it. I leave the water, but the darkness still follows me as if it were a shadow. It's something I can't get rid of, and I know that. It knows that.
I have to accept the darkness, and it will fade. Patches will remain, as it is a part of me, but I will accept them. Day by day, I would start to see the image a bit better, until the image is clear. A blonde girl, blue eyed, tall and thin. A covered eye, concealed darkness, faking forgetfulness.
Is that really who I want to be? Is that the true image under the darkness only I could see? No, it was the darkness that will change me. I will become obsessed with it, and realize as much as it irked me, I cannot live without it. I need to decide to finally dive into the darkness, and embrace it, let it engulf me.
I have to accept it, since before anyone else does, I need to first. If I don't, it will only plague me, and will grow to conceal nothing.

"Mom, I think I'm crazy.."
It was your fault. Everything that happened to you was your fault. If only you would have kept your mouth shut, then none of this would have happened. How does it feel?
There was absolutely nothing in sight. Everything was pitch black. Suddenly, a picture started to form. It was.. her old school. She remembered it well. Why was she here, though? Her mother took her out. Walking through the hallways, which were still in the same perfect condition as they were before, it brought back a few happy memories. Memories that were great, until everything went downhill with a simple statement. One little statement that ruined her entire life.
"Mom, I think I may be crazy.."
That specific line repeated itself in her head. Why, why did she ever tell her that. Walking on, she rounded a corner, only to stop dead in her tracks. Shadows. They all had sickly smiles on their faces as they grew near. They were laughing. Laughing at her. Just like they always did. It grew louder and louder. 'Make it stop.. it hurts..' It didn't stop, it only grew worse. The laughter turned into voices. They were familiar..
"God, what a freak! No wonder everyone is afraid of you!" Some kid in her class.
"No.. no way.. Get out of here. GET OUT. NEVER COME BACK." Every doctor she visited.
"You aren't my child!" Her own mother.
Aurora covered her ears. No, she knew all of that.. She had heard it all thousands of times.. Why did they have to tell her again? Now running through the hallways, she came to a dead end. Water. Water filled the rest of the hallway. The voices started growing again as shadows rounded the corner, all with sickly smiles on their face.
Turning back to the water, it grew closer to her, and hands reached out of it, grabbing at her. Pulling her in. She heard mumbling. "WHY DID YOU KILL US?" No, she didn't kill them. "YOU LEFT US TO DIE." No, she couldn't hold her breath long enough. She never.. meant for anyone to die. Breaking through the barrier of shadows, she was able to escape the hellish hallway and turn another corner, to be met with a very familiar figure.
Her father.
The memories flooded her mind. All of the pain suddenly returned as she clutched her stomach. Everywhere hurt, the bruises reformed. One step closer. She never wanted to help him. Two steps. She never wanted to harm those people. Three. She never wished for such a talent in the first place.
She was held in place. Frozen, and she couldn't move away from him as he grew closer. His face was blurry, but she knew it was him, because a very familiar knife was held in his hands. Grabbing her by her neck, he held the knife up towards her only good eye. "I'll make sure to finish the job this time."
"GET AWAY. I NEVER DID ANYTHING WRONG. NOTHING WAS MY FAULT. IT WAS EVERYONE ELSE WHO MADE ME THINK THAT. I'M NORMAL. I'M JUST LIKE MY PEERS. THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH ME."
Who in their right mind would believe you?

Aurora nodded as they entered the dining hall, but there really wasn't much to see in there. "Oh, I never really payed attention, but that sounds like it would be hard to maintain!" She glanced into the kitchen, just too see what was in it. Just an ordinary kitchen. Oh well, there were lots of interesting things around their new location that made up for it.
"I would never be able to keep a perfect attendance record, that's pretty impressive! You must've never been sick before." That sounds like the good life. Aurora had been sick on multiple occasions, but didn't really miss much school because of it. Unlike other things.
Pulling out a chair in the dining hall, she sat down, eager to take a break from running around. She wasn't necessarily worn out, but resting is always a great thing. "Maybe someday I will be able to talk about it with you guys. I sure hope so, anyways." Surely she should remember by now. What a terrible memory you have.
Aurora never thought she was intimidating.. More of the opposite, probably. It was probably just her, though. Her appearance may come off as a bit strange. Surely she could be intimidating if she tried, though. She probably wouldn’t have to try all that hard,...

Aurora couldn't help but laugh at his statement. How rude of you. "Maybe when you go up and down them you should get someone to help you? Or you could crawl down them." As embarrassing as sliding down the stairs seemed, it would be much better than falling down them every single time. At least that's what she thought. "..Or just don't go up them at all. I don't know."
She held out a hand as an offer to help him up. Hopefully he would be able to stand up after that. She'd seen him around before, so she knows he's able to walk.. He wouldn't have gotten up the stairs if he couldn't, unless he crawled. She had to hold in a laugh at that mental picture.
"I actually haven't introduced myself, sorry.. You've probably haven't really seen me much. I'm Aurora, nice to meet you. And you are?" Of course she already has a pretty good idea of who he is, just by eavesdropping being around when other people are talking. It was just a formality.
While exploring the new area like everyone else, her attention was directed towards the stairs, as she watched the poor appraiser take a tumble down them. Ouch. Aurora wasn’t really sure if she should help him, but he seemed pretty injured, and surely that added onto...

Watching Yuzuki carefully make his way down the stairs, she hopped down them instead. Of course, she didn't actually hop. Thankfully, she made it to the bottom without falling flat on her face. It was a bit surprising to her that she could make it down them in heels of all things, while people with flat shoes fell. Sort of entertaining to her.
She should probably ask what her partner in crime wanted to look at, but she took off towards the dining room at an exceptionally slow speed. "So, a SHSL Student. How does that even work?"
Probably a strange question, but it was something to talk about.
Oh yeah, the suite. What was the point of that, anyways? “Well, if it’s locked, then there isn’t anything we can do about it.” Unless they wanted to see the snake about something they had done. Not on Aurora’s top ten things to do before she dies. Probably not on...

Oh yeah, the suite. What was the point of that, anyways? "Well, if it's locked, then there isn't anything we can do about it." Unless they wanted to see the snake about something they had done. Not on Aurora's top ten things to do before she dies. Probably not on anyone's. "If that's everything, should we just head back downstairs and check whatever's down there out?" She was more interested in looking into where she was going to be sleeping during all of this. And possibly where the food is. Surely such a place had a good variety of snacks. Taking the one second silent as a yes, she again went off to the stairs. Maybe she should go first to catch him if he ends up falling again. Heh. Instead of taking off down them and most likely falling herself, she actually decided to wait on the student.
What a nice thing to wish for. It was better than the selfish wish Aurora had. That would be saved for a later time, though. That is, if she is still alive by that time.. Only time would be able to tell.
As Yuzuki held the door open, she looked down to smile at him...

What a nice thing to wish for. It was better than the selfish wish Aurora had. That would be saved for a later time, though. That is, if she is still alive by that time.. Only time would be able to tell. As Yuzuki held the door open, she looked down to smile at him once more. He was quite shorter than her, so she had to look down a bit, which was quite funny in a way. Examining the bar, she was already done after seeing what was behind the glass. It was obvious as to why those were put there, and she wanted no part in it. So instead of looking around any longer, she decided to wait outside of the room. "Sorry, that just kind of ruined that room for me." What an explorer we have on our hands.
Aurora looked over at the fountain and shrugged a bit. “I’d say not. Things like those are always scams. Like claw-machine games.” They just packed the animals in and just let it eat your money until there wasn’t any left. What a shame. Clever, but a shame.
"It...
