There was a brief, very brief, moment where surprise flashed across Hermes’ face. He wasn’t sure whether he actually put his guard down, or if his friend was just that good at seeing him. Either way, the man was back to his usual grin and leaning stance a second later. Hermes shrugged then opened his arms wide.

“I’m feeling as happy as normal, but if you want a hug I’d be happy to provide.” He said with a chuckle, ready to give his friend a hug if needed.

But deep down? A part of him was grateful he noticed. He did need a hug.

Zagreus isn’t sure whether the Underworld’s ever-shifting maze is actually longer and more tortuous than usual this time around, or whether it’s just his imagination and the influence of a few boons from Dionysus going to his head. Whatever the case, all he knows for sure is that he’s getting tired, which means getting sloppy, and there hasn’t been a fountain room in what feels like ages.

So when he first enters a new chamber and doesn’t immediately see or hear anything leaping out at him to kill him, he sighs in relief. It soon becomes obvious, though, that this is neither a fountain room nor the river dock...so where is he? He’s never seen this place before. Which is really saying something, considering he’s tried to break out of the Underworld at least thirty times by now.

Darcy always knew she wouldn’t stay at her hometown all her life, she didn’t want to stay and Ben encourage her to apply for Culver so she could leave. Her boyfriend at the time didn’t like that, he’d often say he’d rather stay forever in the same place, with a stay at home wife who’d take care of kids so Darcy dumped him, left for Culver and never came back.

Saima raised an eyebrow in curiosity in response to Loki’s statement. But it was an idea that they found entertaining if nothing else. So they were willing to go with it just to see where this line of thought was going to end up.

“Inflatable pool duck revolution huh? How long have you been brewing this one up. Or is this something that you’ve seen started and decided to encourage.” They wanted the details Loki, clue them in on something.
