Séria Problém so psom

Séria hovorí o mojej osobnej a rodinnej traume, spočívajúcej v srdcervúcej strate milovaného psa, ktorého sme mali v rodine od môjho detstva. 

Až dnes si uvedomujem, ako veľmi som brala naše spolužitie ako samozrejmosť. Teraz, keď žijem sama v malom byte v inom meste, moju dušu sužuje obrovská túžba po psom spoločníkovi. Táto túžba každý dňom rastie a stáva sa obsesívnou myšlienkou, témou kresieb a napokon celej tvorby tohto “Psieho obdobia”. 

Po traumatickej strate psieho priateľa Boba nachádzam útechu v tvorbe  obrazov, či 3D foriem môjho vysnívaného psa. 

Snažím sa psa zložiť z rôznych predmetov, vytvoriť mechanického psa, ušiť a oživiť ho, namaľovať ho, privolať ho afirmačnými kolážami, či vytvoriť ho v hrnci pomocou zázračného receptu.

Pol roka si vylievaním emócie pomocou rôznych techník a materiálov. Obsesívna tvorba opäť v mojom živote predstavuje akúsi autoterapiu.

Séria Problém so psom sa vo mne uzatvára o niekoľko rokov neskôr, keď si adoptujem psa Ernesta z útulku. Tento pes pre mňa predstavuje naplnenú túžbu, no zároveň do môjho života prináša nové nepredvídateľné udalosti.

The Dog Problem series

Series explores my personal and family trauma rooted in the heartbreaking loss of a beloved dog who had been part of our family since my childhood. 

Only now do I realize how much I took our time together for granted. Now, living alone in a small apartment in a different city, I am overwhelmed by a deep longing for a canine companion. This longing grows each day, becoming an obsessive thought, the subject of my drawings, and ultimately the foundation of this so called “Dog Period”.

After the traumatic loss of our canine friend Bobo, I find solace in creating images and 3D forms of my idealized dog. I try to assemble a dog from various objects, to build a mechanical dog, to sew and bring it to life, to paint it, to summon it through affirmational collages, or even to create it in a pot using a magical recipe.

For half a year, I have been pouring out my emotions through various techniques and materials. This obsessive creation once again serves as a form of self-therapy in my life.

Series "The Dog Problem" is closing for me several years later, when I adopt a dog named Ernest from a shelter. This dog represents a fulfilled desire but also brings new, unpredictable events into my life.

Apollo hyacinthus, and retellings

the thing that I noticed about apollo and hyacinthus and how their relationship is potrayed is that people often have trouble with choosing if they should be gentle and kind when with eachother or should they act like a bloody sparta warrior and a plauge god and be you know warriory

And I say why not both?

Make hyacinthus a gentle man whose hands could hold the most delicate vase in the world and who laughs at terrible jokes of his friends a man who cares for others but also make him a warrior who bathes in blood of others casualy and got used to seeing people die and be stolen by thanatos from him

And Apollo

Make him the (2) most beautiful and gentle being there is make him love humanity and mortals and make him adore every little thing in life while also making him a being that has and will see horrible things happend that affected him and make him send plauges upon villages that definitley have innocent people in them

What I'm trying to say is

Make my lord and his lover complex characters and moraly grey people while also not making them complete soft buns for eachother but also don't make them two making out devils

Séria Psycho-auto-portrét

Prvotným impulzom bolo ateliérové zadanie – vytvoriť svoj autoportrét. Snaha zachytiť moju podobizeň pomocou pohľadu do zrkadla alebo bez neho, z pamäti a môjho mentálneho obrazu o samej sebe, napokon vyústila do mocného nástroja na vyjadrovanie svojich emócií verejnosti. Vznikol ďalší prostriedok pre autoterapiu.

Psycho-self-portrait series 

First impulse was a main studio assignment - to create a self-portrait. While trying to capture myself through the gaze in the mirror or without it, from the memory and my mental image of myself, it led to discovering a powerful tool for expressing my emotions publicly.  Another form of autotherapy has been found.

david: so eric, how did you get the inspiration for this, uh, this story? eric: uh well, originally it was- i wanted to do a series about urban legends in american folklore. and... ghost story— american ghost stories. i think we just have this really great american mythology, that i always thought was really rich territory for a series. and... i tried to pitch this idea for years and years— david: a year earlier eric came to my office, and we'd worked together before and we had a great relationship, and he had this wonderful passion for this story and i said, "eric, you're gonna find it, and it's gonna be great." eric: yeah i came to david, i said, "david, here's a great idea: it's a reporter who hunts ghosts- david: (laughs) eric: across the country, and he works for a tabloid... you know... paper!" and i had this whole story worked out, and... that obviously went away. and thankfully a year later re-approached david with, i think, a much cooler way into this story which is to do it as route 66, as two boys on the road, driving in and out of a different horror movie every week. and that— you know, sorta kinda "have gun will travel", and that's a much more effective way to drive in and out small towns and in and out of american ghost stories.
