What would happen if Tim or his Dad ran into mewtwo and amber? Would it be one of those misunderstanding moments, or one of those “how have you been?” Moments?

It would be an awkward reunion to say the least. Cause after their ordeal, Mewtwo's intention was to just let them be, to tend to and rekindle their relationship. He didn't think he'd ever have to cross paths with them again if they were to somehow meet unexpectedly. I feel like Mewtwo would feel some guilt for what happened, feeling that if he had just been quicker to protect Harry from the greninjas, it probably would've prevented the car accident and he wouldn't have had to put Harry, his pikachu or Tim through that whole ordeal, he'd feel responsible for the majority of what happened to them, which is why he's so intent on staying away from the Goodmans. He figures they're better off not seeing him again.

Though if there was a scenario where they did meet again, of course Mewtwo would be like, "I trust you both have been well?" "How have things been?", the small talk. But afterwards he'd be pretty awkward, not knowing what else to say to them. Harry or Tim would have to break the ice lol

As someone who goes through mental stuff like that on a daily basis…I relate mewtwo…I relate…when you just think things are going fine, but then *wham* it’s “what is going on?!”

Yes! Yes exactly! You do understand then! My day can be going exceptionally well, I would feel happy and content with whatever I'm doing at the time. Then out of the blue, my eyes will well up and I'll start to feel these infernal emotions that I wasn't even feeling mere seconds ago!!! It is very frustrating...

If anyone has knowledge of this, why does it occur and is there some kind of cure for matters of this sort??
