Hey so sorry if this somehow feels uncomfortable, but I'd really like to thank you for being like, very compassionate in how you portray Machete. I don't know why I feel so strongly about this but as someone who has been dealing with the fallout of religious trauma and other such problems, it really affected my ability to deal with sexuality and the overwhelming almost instinctual self-hating shame that comes with that. It's something I'm so absolutely ashamed of talking about even with close friends, it actually makes me a bit emotional to see that someone, who might or might have not been through the same, understands how it's like. It's one of the great things about art. Anyway sorry for the long ask, you're great, keep being so strong.
.
#I thought about how personal I wanted to get here but suffice to say I'm familiar with the feeling#it means a lot to me to hear that there are people who relate with this stuff because like you said it's not something people are eager to#talk about#having a difficult relationship with something as natural and ordinary as sexuality can be such a humiliating experience#and it can take years to navigate your way out of the obstacle course of fear guilt and shame#answered#anonymous

They must've put something in my copy but Deltarune ch 3 secret boss fight is harder than the final Boss fight, idk what everyone else is talking about
#its just that narrow corridor attack thats difficult for me the rest were easy to memorize#after getting the hang of that it took 2 tries to consistently navigate to final attack#its sight readable too. secret boss just randomly shoots shit#plus trying to dodge and weave in only 4 directions WITH the random enemy patterns WITH the obstacles??#talk about difficult difficult lemon difficult#deltarune spoilers#though im trying to be vague just in case

Curious question! How would you describe seeker kin using their sensors to detect energon and incoming bots? Like biology. I saw the snippet you did on seeker Lennox and Sarah. :0
In that verse, Energon detection is a unique skill to Seeker femmes as they're meant to manage flocks and balance a multitude of relations as an extensive network from their incredibly dense sparks, which naturally gives them a wide EM field range to encompass others. Think of it as a very keen sense of spatial awareness and territoriality as Cybertronian sparks are unique to each mecha like a set of human fingerprints.
Sarah is able to sense more adult sparks when she initially came to Diego Garcia, and the Seeker did not like it.
(It doesn't help Sarah is basically a newbuild, so her senses are sharp and agitated as she has yet to figure out or be taught by another how to filter out or dull input, and it's made aggressively worse because she has a protective streak over her sparkling. Plus, Optimus is there, and he is both a Prime and has enough coding in his lineage to read as another Seekerkin mech, so she's even more defensive of her space.)
Basically, large veins of crystal Energon capture their attention as it can mess their sparks' perception of the environment. The effects could manifest as very specific sensation-perception cues that varies from femme to femme: auditory, visual, scent, tactile, and even taste.
Those cues act as markers that grow stronger with proximity and are highly reliable and accurate tells that modern science has yet to replicate even half as well.
Sarah will eventually describe her cue as a sequence of clear, vocal demands that tug harder on her spark the closer she gets to vein, so hers is an auditory-tactile cue.
Surprisingly, the femmes of their grounded counterparts of Praxus and Polyhex don't have this Energon detection quirk. However, Seekerkin are still very attuned to the harmonics of crystal Energon to manipulate it. The immense variety of art from Praxus' famous crystal gardens and elegant tea ceremonies to Polyhex's unique pottery goods and architectural designs for navigating their wetlands stood as testament to it.

FLEE! FIGHT!” until it can settle down when it accepts the Autobots as flock#i like to think OP and Megs in bayverse have Seeker coding in them as OP really took those flight modifications very smoothly

So...what do we think of the way lab rats handled Taylor's disability? Personally, I think they did a decent job narratively. They steered away from "this is a sci-fi type of show so we can just 'fix' the disability". The visor Douglas made for her basically functions like a cane would, except its more compact and on her face, but all it does is tell her when an obstacle is in front of her...like a cane would. She's still blind. That doesn't go away. Taylor goes on missions again as the hero she is, even with her disability. She's disabled and she can go on missions.
I say narratively because there were a few comments about "a newbie, a quitter and a blind girl!" and with how Leo wanted the doctors to "fix it", but as far as Leo's comments go, he mostly felt guilty about his actions altering her way of life forever, which it did.
Seriously, what do we think? I'm not physically disabled myself, but I'm taking a class where we talk about this stuff and I was reminded of this Taylor plotline recently. I've been thinking about this all day.
#technically i do have a disability but its adhd and i don't usually think of it as a disability even tho it is#but i'm not all that qualified to talk about physical disabilities#i just find it interesting that lab rats chose this route#bc they could have used the cliche trope in scifi and had taylor's vision be restored by the end of the two parter through some BS science#but they followed through and kept it in AND let her continue to be badass#which i think was pretty cool of them#the enhanced spatial awareness isn't as high tech as it sounds bc its just vibrating when it senses an obstacle#but its also a good accommodation for missions and training when she needs her hands free#so they added tech but not to “fix it”. just to help her navigate the world WITH her disability#lab rats#taylor krane#disability#blindness#it also helps that she had enhanced bionic senses already#IN ADDITION i find it interesting that they went the “fix it with bionics” route TWICE for leo but not for taylor. narratively I mean#logically eyes are more difficult to fix than limbs since there are much finer parts and functions involved#rebuilding that would be more difficult than building things in like with chase. chase's bionic eye likely uses some of chase's original#eye function. his eyesight wasn't recreated from scratch#but from a writing perspective they could have given her different damage that could be “fixed” with bionics but they didn't

Twiddle Niddle in puppet form.. can his legs retract into his body so he could slither like a snake or not? I need to know..
Yes actually! I don't have it on hand but I know there's a doodle of him out there with his legs retracted. He can move pretty fast when slithering.
#in a straight short burst race vs Chickenstab they'd be pretty evenly matched#but if there is any minor obstacle in the way or any elevation change or just#anything.#twiddle would lose lol. he cannot navigate rough terrain at all without his legs#and with his legs hes much slower because he's lumbering his big ol body around with those spindly lil thangs#brambleramble

*claims to be devotee of the wild*
*despises winter, objectively wildest season given that it is the time when the land is largely left to its own devices and none but the most hardcore human people venture past the most heated and domesticated parts of the world)*
#if i was a real one id become one of those fucked up winter campers#in my defense. i think it would certainly be a different story if i did not have to DRIVE CARS. in the winter (easily the scariest part)#if i didnt have to drive cars in the winter i think i could find beauty in it for months on end#id still largely be inside buildings. if i was born six thousand years ago id still be inside buildings. but i'd find beauty in it#instead im completely incapable of looking at the landscape and finding ANYTHING in it except deadly obstacles to navigate#like. it was an unsafe time of year back before cars as well. unsafe to take a horse in certainly unsafe to walk alone in#BUT. at least if you died in winter you weren't doing it at forty miles an hour#it's my late night of the week which means i dont get back until 8pm and i'm cursing the entire time#and soon. SOON!. the building itself will be open until 8pm which means my shift will move back an hour. and i wont get back on late days#until NINE. NINE in the winter. IF I'M LUCKY AND IT'S NOT SNOWING HEAVILY#surely . ggp. you did not mean this. surely you meant the bucolic glory of spring

I somehow managed to workout 174 minutes this week (a lot for me) :0 I'm so happy, my goal is only somewhere between 60 and 150 a week. I've never done this much before
I also think I'm starting to see results in areas other than stamina too which is great :3

love that i have my own place now but being that the only way for me to get to work when ben isnt home to take me, is that i have to take ubers which are crazy expensive for 1 and for 2 every time ive ever been picked up from home, they take the longest possible fckin route. So even tho my shift starts at 5 ill have to call one at 4 because last time i called one it was a 45 minute drive when it shouldve been max 15 lol. But bc im directionally challenged as hell i cant even help them so here we are 😭
#alao i try not to complain abt uber drivers and Always give them 5 stars bc it is a shit job with so much bullshit for them to put up with#but recently ive been getting either straight up rude or creepy ones and its like man. can we just be silent is that okay.#you can turn on your music idc if you want to talk politely i will navigate the obstacle that is socialization for u if it makes u more#comfortable but can you please not be a dick and slash or ask me invasuve questions and then judge me when i tentatively answer lawl
