SkyDoesMinecraft releases statement after allegations of domestic abuse

On July 24, Adam "SkyDoesMinecraft" Dahlberg tweeted a statement in response to claims of domestic abuse made by an ex-girlfriend. In the first few days of January 2022, the former YouTuber was charged with sexual harassment, assault, and paying off victims to protect his reputation. He allegedly abused drugs that would make him “go into a permanent psychosis,” and assaulted and sexually harassed “several women” according to ex-girlfriend Lizzybuggie’s allegations in early 2022. Dahlberg responded to these allegations over a year later by saying, “I’m not a horrible monster I’ve been made out to be, it hurts and it’s a lot of what is taking time to process.” He also shared he’s “off drugs, I’m eating healthy, and really alchemically focusing on my mind and body.” https://twitter.com/NetNobody/status/1683495457480163328 His primary goal seems to be focusing on future endeavors from now on, adding he was “excited” to deliver all the projects he’s been working on behind the scenes over the last few years. Dahlberg shared he has no plans of reconciling with the alleged victims because he believes it’s better to simply move on. Lizzybuggie’s allegations encouraged other Dahlberg associates to come forward with their experiences. SkyDoesMinecraft was an idol of mine when I was younger, along with plenty of other YouTubers. They formed my childhood and inspired me to start my own internet presence someday.

It's odd as a simple viewer when somebody you once looked up to is an awful person as it makes you feel like you need to cut that part of you away. When you idolize somebody awful, it makes you feel wrong.

I haven't been a viewer of theirs's since TeamCrafted disbanded yet I still feel sick to my stomach knowing that I, along with so many others, supported an awful person. I'm glad I got out before too much came to light so I never defended them but for those that did in the past, it's ok.

They brainwashed so many people for so long and as long as you don't defend them now, it's ok and understandable that you defend them then.

elizabeth literally said at the end of the document of her abuse that sky was violently homophobic/racist/bigoted and was likely lying to their fans to make them think they were inclusive and accepting while making elizabeth (who is bi) out to be homophobic. thats the only reason theyre getting "misgendered," because its entirely possible that they were not being truthful in the first place

I just need to put this out there and hope it finds the right people but I just spent an hour reading everything that has come out about Adam/SkyDoesMinecraft/NetNobody and I feel like nothing.

If you haven’t, read @ Lizbuggie’s statement on twitter, if you search NetNobody, it’s the first thing that comes up.

Her, Dawn, Alese, YourPalRoss, Gizzy Gazza, Mithzan, MunchingBrotato (Who goes by CrispyCloud now bc of Adam). All of them and more have stories about what they went through with Adam, and this is only in the past 24 HOURS.

I feel like I failed because I didn’t see the signs, because they were there, but I was barely 10 when the first cops and robbers came out. The victims are nothing but tired and understanding towards fans like me, who were too young to know and too naive to think critically.

I failed them because I was stupid, there’s no excuse and I can’t even properly apologize because I did the worse thing a naive fan could do. I did nothing.

Idk I just feel like I’ve lost a good part of my childhood because how can I look back on something I enjoyed and not relate it to an abuser who I supported.

I genuinely hope that Adam can get help, they don’t deserve death threats but they do deserve a reality check. It’s well past over due, but they have to get better, and that’s something that we all can support. We support them getting help AND we support the victims.

I hope that every Adam/Sky/NetNobody fan reads what they did to others. It’s a lot and I don’t expect anyone to understand or read all of it, but every one of them deserves to be heard and seen and, more importantly, believed.

We’ve spent enough time believing Adam.

Usually I get scared to talk about about hate towards a big creator, mainly cause the internet has taught me, that if you say you hate any big creator, no matter who you are, you’re going to get their whole fan base to attack you.

I remember being so young and just being like “yeah Dawn sucked!!!” When them and Dawn broke up.

I remember with the Alesa situation going through both Sky’s stories I was like “yeah Alesa is a cheater and a gold digger.”

My heart goes fucking out to her now, and I have regret I ever sided with Adam during that, she was a woman, with a child, just trying, when her so called “partner” was just….a huge piece of trash, and used their online platform to make Alesa a horrible villain

Years since then when I got Twitter and started to follow “NetNobody” now, I noticed….strange things.

When the Sky Media situation came out, my gut told me Ross and Max where in the right…something just didn’t sit right with me about Sky Media as a company, everyone who worked for Sky Media got fucked over and suffered through so much abuse.

NN’s tweets seemed so weird to me, it seem they would have their mini tantrums or meltdowns, promoting stuff they would never do. When they got all spiritual, when they were like promoting, idk what ideology it was to Mitch I think…idk something felt weird to me that turned me off. I personally felt like their following on Twitter turned into a cult following. I just got like heavy….heavy…vibes that people we’re treating them like a god, or like they felt like a fucking god. When they would show the “tips” people would send them via screenshot…idk…that really tipped me off? I can’t tell you why but it did.

Elizabeth’s situation made me sick…..part of me felt like I was reading some messed up book story….parts of me didn’t want to even think it was humanly or realistically possible. The things Elizabeth went through. Are not fucking okay.

Not even to mention the horrible dog abuse NN did.

Alesa and Dawn were painted to be villains, and their stories pushed into the dark. Elizabeth came forward and screamed breaking the rose tinted glasses off of many still fans eyes.

And now even more stories from the others, Gizzy, Ross, Max, Tim, and so many more. Even small statements like from Tyler (Deadlox) calling Netbody a scumbag.

Im so happy that Elizabeth and Alesa got away with their children, and are both in a safer place with their children.

Adam is fucking human trash, and I personally think this fucker should go to jail. But most important, THEY NEED TO BE FUCKING DEPLATFORMED

And I’ll say is louder for the people in the back who still support this fucker.
