I chose an elk because I think it 1. Matches how he's the tallest human companion in game 2. I think the antlers would add to his slightly awkward personality. I chose a tule elk specifically because Arcade was born near San Francisco(ish), and these elk are endemic to that area :>

I've really put this guy through the wringer lately. To make up for it: France did him a world of good. Mission successful, new agent converted. The sun and the sea were lovely (although it left him a fairly nasty burn where he'd once had a violant tattoo, and exhausted in a way that doesn't feel at all tied to the long walks along the coast).

Returning to London did nothing to damper his mood. The opposite, in fact. He'd thrown himself into the social sphere, hosted parties, rejoined clubs and societies, made peace with the vicar, returned to his work. He'd felt more like himself than he had in years.

Lottie did not come to Brittany. He'd received the letter mid way through his trip. It was too difficult to travel so last minute. She had to stay with the kids. He tried not to let it wear on him too much. There will be another time. It's so taxing to return to the surface, but maybe he can again. Eventually. There's always time.

For now, he's happy.
