seconding this. I checked through all the seed mixes labled for my specific region on that site in the reblog chain and there are zero actual native plants in any of them. thankfully they "helpfully" list what regions the plants are native to, which begs the question of how these mixes are "formulated" to each region in the first place...

anyway, planting a general "wildflower" mix isn't helpful if you're not getting plants native to your specific region. not only could the native wildlife not have mechanisms to deal with non-native plants (in the case of compounds the plant produces that are toxic or unhelpful to the native insects), but non-native plants can and will strangle out native plants, furthering the issue. it's not as simple as "your lawn being all grass that's mowed regularly and your porch lights are driving the lightning bugs away!" it's also "those seeds you bought from an online shop aren't actually native to your region and are driving native wildlife and plants away."

if you have a local nature center or natural forest park, the staff there can help you with suggesting local plants to seed in your yard. it's a huge problem near me to where museums and parks have signage of "plant this, not that" suggestions. they'll likely have leaflets and pamphlets, too. here's an example of one such piece of signage from a museum near me:

(again, these are plants native to my region. they are not catch-all plants anyone should plant anywhere. some are also toxic, like choke berry, so discretion is advised)

anyway, I'd suggest just planting one simple variety of wildflower species native to your region to start with. there's no need to go all-out and plants a bunch of random stuff. you don't need to massively terraform your yard all in one go, since that can be just as disruptive to your yard's ecosystem. make a simple plot for one variety of local wildflower and plant that. then go from there.

I wish So Bad that I could confidently recommend lob corp and library of ruina to people because they're both genuinely rly good games and I also need ppl I know to understand the insanity that is project moon but like godddd they are a fucking Investment. Both in time and in brainpower. I generally think ppl exaggerate how hard lob corp is but it's certainly not easy and when it does get hard it gets HARD. Also it literally requires at least one day 1 reset (basically a new game+) to fully beat the game and at this point I've done at least 10. And for lor I'm not nearly as far in and I'm just scratching the surface of the real game but it's a beast of its own. Also 100+ hours and also hard as hell. Like this game does not fuck around with its difficulty spikes it will make you use your brain and it will give you a damn headache in the process. It's also one of my favorite card combat games I've ever played with mechanics that just so beautifully complement each other to create a dynamic and interesting battle system that gives it a completely different vibe and feeling than any other deck builder games I've played to the point where it almost feels wrong to me to categorize them together. But also I am not even slightly joking abt the headache thing every time I play this damn game I close it with a horrible headache and have to take a multi day break. I think everyone should experience this with me <3

hes seen the work many times before but only brought up the issue now. 2 weeks before a progress report. He told me the thing hes been having me work on for an entire month cant be part of my progress report because its not specific enough.

This is funny because I don't feel like Temari's trauma is brushed aside at all. In fact, at times, I feel like her trauma is even more talked about than Gaara's. There's dozens amongst dozens of Shikatema and Temari centric fics on Ao3 exploring the horrors of her childhood. Now, tell me: does Kankuro receive the same treatment from the fandom? The answer is no. He's the only one who's brushed aside by the fandom and is worthy of receiving more love, not Temari. That is, with looking at the facts we get from canon and semi canon anime episodes objectively, his childhood had to be even worse than Temari's, cause his relationship with Gaara was way worse, and from what little we know, he didn't have friends either, while Temari did. Of the 3 sibs, she was the only one with friends. Yeah, it's the two girls from that chunin exams filler, but they should still count cause it was a decision agreed upon by the whole anime studio to create these characters who were Temari's friends. Yet, there's nearly no Kankuro centric fics exploring his trauma. It's always touched upon very superficially from a 2nd or even 3rd person pov in Shikatema and Gaara centric stories. That should be considered a crime, tbqh.
