Ok so I've been wanting to do headcanons of the pastry pantheon of Earthbread (the legendary elementals of nature). (I'm also a big fan of mythologies, big thanks to OSP for fueling my interest tbh lol).

Starting off with the gods, minor (but noteworthy) deities and their domains.

General Info: Domains, power, mythos and as a Pantheon

• Major deities •

Millenial Tree - creator god of nature; attributed to the flora and earth itself.

Sugar Swan - creator goddess of life; attributed to the fauna and sentient creatures; goddess of childbirth (in humanized aus).

Moonlight - goddess of dreams and magic; a protector deity who can also see visions of the future.

Sea Fairy - the embodiment of the sea; holds power and control over all bodies of water. Her tears create life, thus giving life to all creatures of the water.

Wind Archer - god of winds, protector of the millennial forest, and messenger to the higher deities.

Fire Spirit - god of the flames and rebirth; protector of children; patreon god of the cookies in the Dragons Valley.

Stormbringer - goddess of the sky, lightning and storms; also serves as the goddess of war and one of the patreon deities of the Dark Cacao Kingdom.

Frost Queen - goddess of the frost and protector of children; often misattributted as the goddess of death, but more so acts as a guardian to lost spirits who cannot enter the afterlife and leads them back to the source of all magic; second patreon goddess of the Dark Cacao Kingdom, but her worship is moreso found in the more isolated areas of the kingdom.

Timekeeper - goddess of chaos, guardian of the fabric of time and space; creator of the many timelines that exist within the cookieverse. Rarely stays in one timeline for long, so contact between her and the other deities is sparse.

OK SO I HAVE A FIC FOR HIS B-DAY BUT I PROBABLY WONT BE ABLE TO GET IT FINISHED AND POSTED TO AO3 UNTIL LIKE TOMMOROW OR WEDNESDAY SO ILL GIVE EVERYONE A LIL SNIPPET FOR OUR BIRTHDAY BOY

Now, normally, Dazai was never into celebrating. But today, oh today was different. Today, it was Chibi's birthday. Dazai had decided to skip work for the perfect chance at getting under the slugs skin today. He could deal with Kunikidas complaints on missing work pretty much all of last week tomorrow. He went into a brightly colored and well lit shop, and as swiftly as he came in, he was gone with a white plastic bag now in tow. He looked particularly cheery walking on the sidewalk, and he enjoyed his peaceful little stroll all the way to Chuuyas house. The closer he got, the more excited he became. He couldn't wait to see the slugs face when he barged into the orange haired man's apartment, and especially the face said man would make at the wonderful gift he was going to get.

Dazai had gotten to the door and then entered the pin to get in. Silly Chibi, never changing the lock code after all these years. He busted through the door, though he didn't break it this time. He would be a little courteous today, considering the date and all. Though, when Dazai didn't hear an angry slug yelling, or even him running over to the door to see what the noise was, he became a little confused. Was Chuuya really not off today? He thought that Koyou had convinced him to take the day off. Maybe it didn't work? But if that was the case, then why were the extra locks on the door not turned on?

“Chibi~ Where are you~ it's rude to hide from your owner you know!”

No reaction? Did something happen? Dazai finally actually stepped into the apartment, and carefully closed the door behind him. Then, cautiously, he looked around the apartment for any signs of the little slug. When he glanced over the couch, he saw Chuuya, but something was off.

Sure, he was in his hilariously adorable pajamas, and even wore the pants Dazai gave to him forever ago as a prank gift. The old joke mug was on the table too, but neither of those were really unusual. After all, Dazai had done this on Chuuyas off days before, and this part was actually relatively normal. He had teased Chuuya a lot about using old gifts from Dazai a lot. Nearly every time he visited, in fact. But no matter what, Chuuya still continued to use them religiously. Even on days Dazai stayed over, he would see Chuuya drinking out of the World's Best Dog mug calmly in the morning, see how he changed into those stupid sheep pants every night. No, what was weird was that Chuuya seemed out of it.

He was staring at an old picture in a worn wooden frame, and it was like Chuuya had lost all awareness of the world around him.

Now, that wouldn't do. How was Dazai supposed to sufficiently annoy the Chibi when he was like this? So he walked up right behind Chuuya, making sure to be silent so Chuuya wouldn't notice him and hide the picture. When he saw it, everything clicked. What did Dazai do in response?

He flung his arms around Chuuya from behind of course!

“Chibiiiiii! You can't neglect your owner like this! What's the point of visiting if my dear little dog won't even pay attention to me?”

Dazai had said it in his most sing-song and pouty voice possible. Chuuya had finally snapped out of it. And swung his head back to look at Dazai.

“huh!? What the hell, Mackerel!? The fuck are you doing at my place!”

“Your hat must have finally eaten your brain if you hadn't realized what day it is! Why wouldn't I visit my dear dog on such a special day~”

“stop calling me your fucking dog! Of course I didn't forget what day it is! I just thought you had the sense to remember that I don't fucking celebrate it. Did the agency finally make you lose all your damn sense?”

“Chibis so mean! I even bothered to get you a present, and you still bully me!”

There, Chuuya had finally put the picture down on the table.

“I swear to fucking God if you got me a replacement for that dumbass slug shirt I'm throwing you out the damn window.”

“Rude! I would never reuse the same joke!”

“Yes the fuck you would!”

“Hmph! Well, either way, I got you something even better!”

Chuuya stood stock-still as numerous bloodlike streams slid down his head-from multicolored party streamers.

"Happy one-year Port Mafia anniversary, Chuuya!" The pool hall rang with the five men's cheerful shouts. Chuuya looked around the room with an annoyed glare.

"..What is wrong with you people?"

first of all i love the flags dearly, i always have ever since i saw the stageplay but the ln really just sealed the deal for me <3

"Now I get it!" His voice was unnecessarily loud. "You thought you could pull a fast one on me, showin' me this so I'd get all weepy and apologize! That's what's goin' on, isn't it?!"

now i just find it interesting that despite not biologically being related, adam still refers to paul as chuuya’s brother

i always thought paul was simply a self proclaimed brother but adam’s wording suggests otherwise

"Yeah, this is my problem," began Chuuya, standing in front of the closed door. "But if something like this happened to one of you guys, I don't think I could just ignore it. I'd try to help whether you liked it or not; I bet the rest of you'd feel the same way. So, detective, spit it out and tell them, too, or I'm not gonna cooperate."

The group stared at him, wide-eyed and impressed.

"Hey, did you guys hear that?" asked Piano Man.

"I did," Iceman said with a nod.

"I forgot to turn on my tape recorder." Lippmann gave a faint smirk.

"Tsk. On second thought, I'm just gonna handle this on my own."

"No way, man! No take-backs! I'm not letting you out that door."

It was Dazai's dark figure. Chuuya tried calling out to him, straining his voice, until he finally regained consciousness.

He was lying in front of that pool hall: Old World. He was no longer focused on Dazai but the inside of the hall. The undeniable stench of blood filled the air.

"I'm gonna save you! Hold on!"

It was evident that there was no saving him, even without getting closer for a better look. His abdomen was torn open, exposing his ribcage.

"I'm sorry, Chuuya... He got me. I can't see... I can't even feel my legs anymore," Albatross gurgled in a whisper. His eyes were no longer seeing the world of the living. His legs were crushed from the knees down as well.

"But I saved Doc. I grabbed him by the collar and pulled him out of the attack's way," said Albatross. "Everyone else is dead.

And I'm gonna die, too. But Doc... He needs your help..."

Albatross's right hand was clutching onto Doc's collar like a treasure he held dear. Doc's eyes were closed as if he were sleep-ing, and he didn't have a scratch on his body—his upper body, that is. There was nothing left of Doc from the waist down.

"…"

Chuuya groaned and clenched his jaw tight. He had to consciously fight the urge to scream.

"All right," Chuuya replied evenly, keeping his emotions at bay.

"I'll take care of Doc. He's gonna be okay thanks to you. You always were amazing like that. You should be proud."

"Yeah, it's true." His voice rang of bitterness. It sounded as if he would have rather died than admit it. "But I can't get in touch with him. Whatever. Hope he's dead in a ditch somewhere."

"I see." I, however, believed that we would be in trouble if we lost an ideal player for the mission. "Can you trust this individual?"

"Trust him? No way," Master Chuuya spat. "He's a real piece of shit. Got a twisted personality to go with it, too. He's the kind of guy who'd try to sell water to someone who was drowning. What makes him even scarier, though, is that he'd actually pull it off. He's sharp in a bad kind of way. But we won't be able to beat Verlaine without him."

Those who knew Dazai didn't dare come near his home-not even his Port Mafia subordinates-and not because of how eerie the area was. Rather, nobody knew how Dazai would react when someone invaded his private space. Perhaps he would tear off their limbs and kill them, or perhaps he would welcome them with open arms and a cup of tea. Nobody could understand how Dazai worked.

"Charming place you have here, Dazai," came a lighthearted voice. "What frightens you so much that you choose to live in such a dreary place? Real estate tax?"

After grabbing the pen that was handed to him, Chuuya effortlessly scrawled something within the signature column at the bottom of the document. When the detective leaned forward to check the signature, he was met with the following words:

Chuuya then tossed the pen on the desk, wrapped his arms behind his head, leaned back in his chair, and put his feet up.

"I see." A self-deprecating smirk played on his lips. "But, detective..."

Chuuya's eyes had clouded over, shrouded in darkness.

"…you should probably save your sympathy for a fellow human."

"Chuuya's not with you? Good grief. He's even late to important events like this." Verlaine's tone was casual and carefree, even. "I bet he would show up late to a first date, too. You know, as his brother, I worry about him. Sigh..."

"He—Chuuya—was wearing a military uniform I think he stole from somewhere. He was a huge mess. His face and hair were filthy. He wasn't wearing shoes, either," Shirase continued, voice quavering. "We—the Sheep's original members—thought he was some orphan living on the streets. He spoke to us first.

"What's that square thing?' is what he said."

Shirase looked down at the ground as if he was desperately trying to remember every detail that happened that day.

"I had no idea what he was talking about... I thought he was just weird. That's when he said, 'Tell me what that square thing is in your hand. Right now.'"

Shirase lifted his gaze and idly stared into the distance.

"I was holding a slice of bread."

A deep silence reigned over the corridor, eerily so, especially after the destruction that preceded it. Verlaine quietly listened to the story.

"When I told him it was bread, he asked, 'Can you eat it?' Then when I went 'Yeah' and tore off a piece and ate it to show him, he did the last thing I was expecting him to do. He fainted, like he was out of batteries. It wasn't until I went over to check up on him that I noticed how skinny he was. He looked half dead. The others were weirded out and didn't want anything to do with him, but I gave him bread and some water. After convincing the group, I took him with me to the Sheep hideout in the sewers."

"Hey, don't look so worried! It'll be fine! I was the brains of the Sheep, and you're gonna have me on your side now, so there's nothing to worry about! I'll help you find the next target in no time!"

My arithmetic operator indicated it was highly probable Shirase was not the brains of anything but simply was useless in every other regard. I immediately shut down the operation. I did not want to know the truth.

Master Chuuya watched Shirase flail his arms about for a full ten seconds before deeply sighing.

"What are you lookin' at me like that for?!" Shirase demanded.

"Nothing... If I told ya, it'd just make things worse," Master Chuuya said before averting his gaze.

Verlaine stood in mute amazement for a few moments before nodding as if he had figured out what was going on. "Now I get it. I finally see how you two did it."

Master Chuuya and Dazai stood side by side. There was something surprisingly perfect about it.

"Incredible," a dumbfounded Dazai muttered as he watched from the top of the gas tank. "So this is the power of Arahabaki."

"So that's Arahabaki's—that's Chuuya's true form," Dazai muttered feverishly as he stared up from the surface.

Verlaine's voice trembled as he lifted his head to the heavens and closed his eyes. He kept still. For the longest time, he remained there facing the night sky.

Hey everyone...

After lots of debating on it, I've decided to quit Tumblr.

I know that it may seem shocking, but I just feel that this is the best option for me. My health has been declining in all aspects, and and Tumblr has been one of the factors for it; I am getting better, but there's no telling when it'll worsen again. I also need to focus more on my life now, because it's a very busy period for me and also quite crucial to my future too.

It sucks that I have to do this, but just know that I love and cherish you all deeply. Thank you for letting me have such an amazing time in the roleplay community, and I'll always look back on our experiences with a fond smile. Thank you for bringing the world of BSD alive to me, and I hope that all of your blogs get the recognition they deserve.

Zoning applications for a studio in the Crème Republic on the southwest corner of Crispia have been filed. We await further response.

Scheduling seize-ups will end as updates roll out.

CRK - Powers Beheld Beyond Cacao

Stormbringer Cookie has been summoned to confirm that she was the cause of Meringue gaining his magic two years ago. Queuing attempt for the Crepe Archives has been delayed due to misreading the timetable.

A report from Black Raisin Cookie has returned suggesting that the Sublime Cake Towers are permanent. Possibly the rumored remake of the Tower of Sweet Chaos since its closure from the public on specific request of the St. Pastry Order.

A report from Radish Raven Cookie and her clairvoyant nature has returned.

[BEGIN CONDENSED PATCH NOTES REPORT BENEATH BREAK]

Episode 3 of Beast-Yeast, “The Awakening of White Apathy” will be available SOON.

Selected stages will have the Anguish effect as a gauged gimmick. The gauge fills with time or when enemies attack. When the gauge is full, a Dumpling King will appear to cause trouble. The gauge should reset after the current wave and the Dumpling King are cleared.

Clearing Episode 3 enables Balloon Expeditions for the area, but you’ll need to upgrade your Bear Jelly Balloon to travel to Beast-Yeast.

Travel to Beast-Yeast area 3 to get “Realm of Apathy Yeast Ore” depending on your Cookies’ condition, with an inventory maximum of 60. Use one Ore to open 5 Beascuit spaces in your storage.

Mystic Flour Cookie has appeared as the first playable Beast Cookie.

Skill: Whispers of Apathy - Creates the Realm of Apathy, shielding the allies with the Cocoon of Futility. Allies within the Realm of Apathy have their HP periodically restored. They will also gain the Touch Meaninglessness buff. Once the duration of the Realm of Apathy is over, the allies will be Healed for a portion of the DMG they have dealt.

Cocoon of Futility - Heals allies, removes debuffs, and can dispel Apathy inflicted on allies. Targets are immune to the Power of Apathy while affected by the Cocoon of Futility. Cannot be Dispelled or removed by Zap or Overcurrent. The effect will remain even after the HP Shield reaches 0 capacity. If the target is at Max HP, incoming Healing will restore the HP Shield instead.

Realm of Apathy (Enemies) - If an enemy Cookie enters the Realm of Apathy, their Cooldown will be increased, and their ATK SPD will be reduced. They will also be inflicted with the Pale Plague, increasing the remaining Cooldown when dispelled.

Cooldown Bonus - Mystic Flour Cookie will increase her own DMG Resist based on the decreased amount of Cooldown.

Lantern of Apathy - Her Lantern of Apathy will keep healing the allies regardless of Mystic Flour Cookie's current status and will be further enhanced when she is defeated.

Safeguard Sacrifice - If there are no Safeguarded Cookies in the team, Mystic Flour Cookie cannot be incapacitated, and gains increased Max HP. The amount of Healing coming from the Lantern of Apathy and its trigger rate will also greatly increase. Ally Cookies will also be provided with Buff Protection.

Immunities - Mystic Flour Cookie is immune to Apathy along with all targets of the Cocoon of Futility and disrupts the Power of Apathy effect affecting enemies.

She might join your Kingdom through the Beast Gacha if you possess enough Light of Apathy. This gacha has the same rules as other Legendary Gacha banners with different mileage levels introduced with Stormbringer Cookie’s event banner.

Beast Cookies will not be subject to ascension; 6 Stars is their maximum promotion grade.

At 2, 4, and 6 Stars respectively, the Cookie’s appearance will change and new character quotes become available

Regardless of rank, only one Beast Cookie is allowed on a Kingdom Arena team. We don’t know if this overrides the withstanding 3-Cookie rule for Cookies that are Ancient, Legendary, or Dragons

Cloud Haetae Cookie will also appear with the next update.

Skill: Haetae Charge - Takes the form of a Cloud Haetae. After transforming, gains an increased DEF and DMG Resist and grants HP Shields for the entire team. With their regular attacks, transformed Cloud Haetae Cookie charges at the enemies, dealing area damage. Cloud Haetae Cookie will also heal the ally with the lowest HP with Cloud Rolls (except Cloud Haetae Cookie themselves). Belonging to the Realm of Apathy, Cloud Haetae Cookie is resistant to Apathy, can briefly disrupt the Power of Apathy effect when using their skill, and grants the Visions of Apathy buff to the team. When in the same team with Mystic Flour Cookie, Cloud Haetae Cookie will gain the Haetae's Loyalty buff. Cloud Haetae Cookie will regain HP with each 3 regular attacks in the Cookie form.

On Initial Transformation - Gains DEF Up and DMG Resist, Heals teammate with lowest HP excluding themselves

Transformation End - Charges for more damage and stuns affected enemies

Basic Attacks - Splash damage during Transformation, melee, self-heals with every 3 attacks regardless of form

The Windmill Garden expansion project is ready to store and manage Production Buildings.

Restoration task opens after researching “Production Dashboard”

Storage and expansion conditions mimic those of the Sky Garden

All production in the Windmill Garden is managed by Wizard Gnomes (Assumed NPC characters that do not have their own EXP levels or otherwise)

Compatible with Easy Goods Collection (collecting items from buildings in either the Windmill Garden or the Kingdom will mass-collect from all buildings in the other location if EGC is enabled)

You can get Special Beascuits from Beast-Yeast episode 3 by chance. They start at level 20. - There is a chance to obtain special Beascuits by playing through Beast-Yeast episode 3.

Special Beascuits will have new bonus effects: “Darkness-type DMG Up” or “Electricity-type DMG Up.”

Only one of the two effects will be available depending on the Beascuit’s type.

Once obtaining a special Beascuit, the first slot will be set as either “Darkness-type DMG Up” or “Electricity-type DMG Up.”

All bonus effect values are set according to the probabilities table

You can use the “Reset” function to change the first slot to another bonus effect.

Part 2 of the Might of the Ancients quest is now available after finishing Part 1. Pick either Golden Cheese Cookie or White Lily Cookie to meet them immediately, play missions, and get a special title once it’s all done.

Once you meet Mystic Flour Cookie, traverse the Ever-Changing Path of Apathy to claim even more rewards.

UI & QOL Improvements

A number of UI improvements have been applied to Cookie skill descriptions.

Cookie skill description UI on each Cookie’s page, on the battle preparation screen, and during battle has been improved.

The result screen will no longer be shown when leveling up a Cookie’s skill.

Skill descriptions for Cookies of Legendary rarity or higher will have their descriptions divided into paragraphs for easier reading.

These UI improvements will be applied to all Cookie skill descriptions gradually.

The chance of obtaining Yeast Ores for exploring Beast-Yeast has been doubled.

ARENA TIER ADVANCEMENT ANIMATION

You can now skip the Arena tier advancement animation.

Tap on the screen to skip animation.
