I’m not too big a fan of de aging fics (just a personal preference), but the ones I always adore are the fics where the de aged person still knows everything from before they were de-aged and act like a child genius.

With that in mind: Danny gets de-aged in Gotham. With no other way around it, he has to be put back into elementary school and VERY rapidly skips classes because he still remembers everything. In his woodworking class he builds a miniature scale fully functioning mech that could be used to fight Gotham Rogues.

Bruce very quickly notices this kids very apparent smarts. With the rate of smart young children becoming rogues, he gives Danny as many Wayne scholarly grants as he can to encourage non villainous behavior.

Honestly, Jenny feels like a name/identity that’s been following me around for a while. I kinda found it to be the ideaized version of myself thats always been part of me. Like I feel like Deadlock is a song by Jenny.

It’s all kinda abstract and vague at this point while I sort it all together but I’ll piece it all in time. For now, Jenny kinda feels like the name for the next chapter

little thing i actually love about superbat is that, since Bruce and Clark both have dark hair and blue eyes, fic authors can't just go ''the blue eyed one'' or ''the dark haired one'' the whole fic. It's more effort to come up with distinct descriptors, sure, but also so refreshing to not have to read a whole fic where a character is kinda named the bitch with blue eyes the whole time

doll clownpierce with an empty chassis / chest cavity, a cutesy little door in the center of his chest that opens up so he can pull out a threaded string of hearts. him being vulnerable and trusting enough to let branzy see it, first having to remove his uniform, essentially naked (as a doll can be), literally opening his chest to reveal his heart(s) to him. branzy staring jaw agape in wonder, starry eyed ... until clown says "alright. your turn"

I think it's fun and cute that everybody's reading some meaning into the character design choices for Kai's vision of his friends ("Nya has her pre-redesign hair because he still sees her as his baby sister!" and other such theories) but alas I think it's just another case of them mixing and matching character designs for shits and giggles because there is SO much extra-show material that has completely random assortments of design eras
