8. do they have a nickname? who gave it to them? if it's not derived from their real name, what's the story behind it?

yanny is their nickname actually! it's also the first name i came up with for them, before their full name. it was a placeholder originally, but it ended up sticking really well (a common theme with my ocs lol). lore-wise, they received their name upon induction into the HIVE and their memory of their 'original' name was erased. their full current name is yanahel owens, but everyone calls them yanny since yanahel is a mouthful and also has some bad memories attached.

15. how big or small is their family? who did they live with growing up? do they live with anyone now?

yanny doesn't know their biological family - if they even have one - because of, you guessed it, their time in the HIVE. currently, they live with stella martin, who dated them before their HIVE era but who now is dating violet kafka, a veterinary student who lives a few miles away. yanny themself is currently in a qpr with teagan anders, one of their coworkers.

they're also friends with adam and vivienne ('vivi') williamson. yanny knew vivi in high school and they end up reconnecting, though yanny meets adam first. adam is a few years younger than vivi and is in college for environmental conservation. hanna bosacker is another one of yanny's coworkers and one of their closest friends.

there are a couple of other characters, but they aren't as important to the main storyline, so i won't talk about them here since this post is already kinda long lol. thanks for asking about them again! if you couldn't tell, they're my current favorite oc lmao
