Not yet on the official site, Alasdair has an Amsterdam show in May, alongside Völvur member and collaborator Fredrik Rasten, as well as the DNK Ensemble. Tickets are ridiculously enticing at €10, and evidently the promoter has advanced much of his revenue to commission a spectacular ascii-art flyer.

SECLUDED BRONTE

Secluded Bronte - Richard Thomas, Adam Bohman, Jonathan Bohman - formed in London and launched in New York City in 2002. They released their first album, Secluded In Jersey City, on Pogus. Their music combines elements of free improvisation, rock, musique concrete, dub, songs and spoken word. They have been likened to a wide array of artists - This Heat, Wire, The Specials, John Zorn, Jean-Luc Godard, Ennio Morricone, Talk Talk,The Residents, The Fall, JohnCage and Sun Ra - but, ultimately, Secluded Bronte are unclassifiable.

Since 2020 Secluded Bronte have released six albums on the Ffordd Allanlabel, an album on Cafe Oto’s Takuroku label, a 7” EP on Felix Kubin’s Apolkalypso label, contributed to several compilation albums and toured extensively throughout Europe and the UK. A new album, Incidental Games, is imminent in late 2024.
