Trains in Anime - KPop Demon Hunters

As always, for the purposes of this blog, something is anime if it's animated and I want to talk about it. I'm not changing this URL no matter what.

KPop Anime Hunters is the current Big Thing on Netflix, an animated movie about… well, exactly what it says on the tin. Catchy songs, fun visuals and characters, highly recommended. But most importantly, there are trains in there. Two… sort of.

1. Rumi's Comfy Pants

As worn in the first Tiger scene.

10/10, adorable, no notes. As long as they survive the movie, of course, otherwise…

Oh.

Okay, but that isn't the main one, the big point is…

The Subway Fight

In this fight scene we get a lot of shots of the top of the train, some of the interior, but very few good ones of the front… until the very end, when they leave and it pulls away.

Yep, that's a Seoul Metro train alright. Specifically, according to Wikipedia, a third-generation 7000 series train, also known as "SR000" series.

They changed a number of details, probably to avoid copyright issues; for example the green stripes aren't quite in the same pattern, the logo is a bit bigger and simplified (you can also find the real train with a different earlier logo), the numbers are changed, but ultimately, yeah, clearly the same.

The real train was introduced to Seoul's metro line 7 between 2010 and 2012, and that's where it's stayed since. Apparently only seven trains were built due to various political issues, based on an article in a Korean Wiki. Apparently the trains actually belong to Incheon and Bucheon in different amounts; Seoul's metro is large and runs right into neighbouring cities, including line 7, so these trains are (part of) these cities's share of the line.

The interior in the show appears to be taken from a different train.

Almost all subway cars on Seoul's metro look similar on the inside, but here the detail of the triangular seat ends is notable. The best match I've been able to find is the 9000 series cars of line 9, some of which have similar triangles. (There don't appear to be any freely licensed pictures of the insides of Seoul's metro trains, even that Wiki appears to have used theirs under questionable circumstances, so you only get a link, sorry.)

Finally, let's go to the station:

The station is actually very well identified: Station 510 is written there clearly. All of Seoul's metro stations have a three or four digit code, where the first one or two digits indicate the line, and the last two the specific stop (counting from one end of the line). This is common in asian countries to help foreign visitors who may not know the local writing system. This station also has English letters identifying it as "Inland Resort". In real life, station 510 is on line 5, is called Bangwha, and is underground. That aside, though: I have not been able to identify the original station this is based on, but I would say it looks realistic.

These minor mismatches aside, the biggest unrealistic thing about the whole thing is… well, the demon fight, and isn't that such a boring answer? Sorry.

But just for completeness's sake: You should never get on top of a real-life Seoul subway train for any reason, not even to fight demons. Like a lot of newer subway systems, Seoul's subways are powered by overhead wires, energised at 1500 Volts, which means standing on top of one gives you a very good chance of getting a life-threatening electric shock. And even if the demons and the girls of Huntrix are magically immune from electric shocks (which would totally fit, that's my headcanon now), there's still just a mass of wires and in particular equipment holding the wires up that's annoyingly in the way at all times.

But overall: Very good trains, very good attention to detail, the biggest problem is that Rumi threw away her comfortable adorable Choo-choo pants.

(Yes, I did post the same thing without pictures before. Turns out the trick for Netflix screenshots is still using Chrome and disabling graphics acceleration. Firefox without graphics acceleration didn't work for me, that's why I got confused.)

What was the first muse that you’ve written?

Oof this would have been soooo many years ago I can barely even remember. My first ever roleplaying experiences were with my cousin, like, 10+ years ago. We both were obsessed with dogs, so I know we wrote dogs a lot. But, we were also hella obsessed with Sailor Moon and wrote that together as well. I don’t know which one came first lol 

How do you describe writing / rp to others?

As simply as possible, I just tell people it’s like writing a story with somebody else. That’s it... I know, I’m very vague... But I really don’t talk to people I know about roleplay unless I know they roleplay as well, so like I just don’t engage in that topic otherwise at all. 

How do you create an OC? What are your steps for developing an OC?

Well, it usually starts with inspiration from a video game, a show or a movie that I really love. Either a character or the concept of something or just the genre in general, honestly, all my muses are a big mix mash of inspiration of all different things that I loved from movies, games and shows. I do the hardest bits first and the easiest last, which would be... Name, faceclaim, icons, banners, blog url. I am the absolute worst when it comes to figuring out a name and a faceclaim and making icons and all that jazz takes so much work, so I knock that out of the way first. I have a hard concentrating long enough to get info done in a timely manner, but despite that, coming up with the stories and all the basic stuff is usually easy enough. But even when I start my blog to write them, I don’t necessarily consider them 100% done most of the time because writing them in some threads helps me learn more about how I want to portray them, which in turn, influences change for previous info to eventually match exactly how I imagine them and how I want them to be. Creating an OC is one thing, finally getting to actually write them is something else entirely... I dunno, a big part of developing my OCs includes writing them for a little bit and changing things up along the way as I learn more about them until eventually they’re just how I want. I don’t know if all that makes sense but yeah... 

What’s something you find weird on here?

Uhhh well, I guess people who have like... Super strict rules? Ridiculously long lists of banned faceclaims, which honestly I didn’t even know was a thing until I joined back on tumblr again this year, and I guess when people follow you but then never interact with you or ignore all of your attempts to interact. I’ve also seen some people who hate it when you message them just to chat? Which, fine, but I really enjoy chatting with people ooc so maybe I just don’t understand why. Oh, and apparently some people won’t give you the time of day if you’re a multimuse of only female or only male muses because it means you’re sexist or some shit, that’s hella weird to be honest. People write who and what they’re most comfortable with, it ain’t that deep bro.

is there a gaylor manifesto (or one specific to dianna agron and her) cause im trying to convince my friend

there are manifestos but i have issues with like every gaylor truther on this site so here’s a quick breakdown from yours truly instead:

taylor and dianna meet at the farmer’s market in september 2011. they hit it off instantly, and taylor even finds it oddly endearing when dianna comments about how much she loves kanye.

the two become very close over the next year, along with claire winter and ashley avignone. DIANNA is included in the secret message for 22.

dianna throws a circus themed birthday party for her 26th, and taylor attends, dressed as a tiger. she makes a joke about how she’s a little kitten, and writes it on dianna’s door. holy ground will later include the lyric “i left a note on the door with a joke we’d made / and that was the first day”

(note: it’s impossible for the entirety of holy ground to be about dianna, as the song is about moving on from someone and they were still close at this time, but i’ve always believed that dianna is the person who HELPED her move on from her ex.)

they go to movies together, attend parties, go for dinner with andrea. dianna regularly spends time at taylor’s apartment despite her cat allergy, and they get matching necklaces.

in june 2012, dianna goes on jimmy kimmel and when the rumours about her dating taylor come up, she blows a kiss at the camera and winks.

RED comes out in october 2012, and dianna tweets about it - specifically her love for everything has changed. the secret message for this song is HYANNIS PORT, which is where the kennedys vacation. this suggests the song is about conor, but it was possibly written before taylor had even met him, and she went there with dianna earlier that year.

on valentine’s day 2013, the glee episode i do comes out. taylor tweets about it before it airs, saying that a little birdy told her they’d be singing one of her songs. they did not end up doing so, but the episode in question is the one where quinn and santana have sex. taylor later deletes the tweet.

the last time taylor and dianna publicly hang out is in 2013, when they attend a fun. concert together.

taylor tells a fan in club red that dianna is the sweetest girl, but they’ve spent less time together lately because dianna got a new boyfriend.

in october 2014, taylor releases 1989. the deluxe version includes the song wonderland, which has the lyric “and we fell down the rabbit hole.” dianna has always been very open about her love for alice in wonderland, and had a quote referencing it tattooed on her ribcage, which she had removed in 2017. her tumblr url also used to be felldowntherabbithole.

everything else is unconfirmed, but dianna was 25 when they first met (”i loved you in secret / first sight / yeah we love without reason / oh 25 years old / oh how was you to know”) and i also like to imagine that the 1 is about dianna, considering miss agron got divorced within a month of it being released.

dianna was also spotted listening to cardigan on her spotify.

As the class came to a close, Mr. Benson called out for his attention.

“Mr. Wayne, may I see you for just a moment before you go?”

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Lila flinch at his name, Alya directing a glare directly at the side of her head. But still he nodded, approaching the teacher’s desk. Jon hung back, waiting to reveal what he undoubtedly learned when he left the class.

“The French club will be hosting the visiting class to help each other practice language skills. You’re fluent, correct? I’m sure you’d make an excellent asset if you came to this meeting,” he said.

Damian frowned slightly at that. On one hand, it would be a good way to get to know his soulmate in a more natural state, not on edge in the presence of a vigilante. But on the other hand... Lila Rossi. Marinette’s influence had prevented him from getting too angry with the girl but having to sit through an hour plus specifically to talk to one of them might just set him over the edge.

“I think I’ll pass.”

The older man looked a bit crestfallen at Damian’s answer, but nonetheless, extended his invitation again.

“Well, we will be meeting in the LG until 4:15 if you change your mind.”

He nodded before turning back towards Jon, who was looking at him expectantly, bag in hand. His face twinged slightly in annoyance, knowing for a fact, without even asking, that Jon absolutely had done what he told him not to do.

‘Uh oh,’ Jon thought before adopting a sheepish smile, one that did not affect the dark look on his friend’s face.

"Tt."

The room they all filed into was fairly spacious, the French club members still trickling in. Marinette glanced around, analyzing everyone's faces, looking for one in particular, but ultimately not seeing it. She was a bit disappointed, but cest la vie. Mlle Bustier's smile and enthusiastic gestures kept her from frowning like she would like to. Marinette was only half listening to the plan Mlle Bustier was laying out for the afternoon, too distracted by, again, the disappointment of Damian not coming to the meeting, and also the trepidation of what his reaction might be to finding out she had a second soulmate. Just based on the way she felt when she knew that she was channeling him, she had a feeling he was not new to jealousy/possessiveness. That finally caused her neutral expression to droop into a scowl.

Alya elbowed her lightly, concern in her eyes.

"What's wrong?" she whispered.

Marinette chose silence, opting to shake her head slightly instead of using words she wouldn't be able to articulate. Alya didn't know about Damian/Robin yet. And it wouldn't be fair to tell her about it. So this issue was something she and he would have to work out on their own, possibly involving Adrien later since he was technically already involved.

Alya adopted a much less intense frown than Marinette had on at her friends refusal to share, but perked up a bit when the American teacher walked in and revealed to be the one she had for homeroom - with Lila 🤮.

He went to stand at the front of the LG and took in a deep breath before starting to deliver his little spiel. His French was quite good (as if it were his entire career or something lol), the Dupont kids following along easily, and the Gotham High kids understanding just about all of it too (as they are the best of the best in language skills at this school, most others not caring enough to try).

"Okay, French club, welcome back and a big welcome to our visiting class from Paris!"

He droned on for a few moments about how happy he was that they were here and how excited he was that they had this opportunity to learn and strengthen their French skills with actual native speakers.

"So, what we are going to do is split you all up. It looks like we are about two to one here do it'll be two Gotham students to one Dupont student. Pick your partner and we'll split up the rest. Okay, go!"

The room filled with a bit of chatter as the club kids started to mill around and group up. As for Marinette's class, they hung back and waited for Mr. Benson to assign them a pair. Marinette got matched up with a boy who looked like he might be in his last year, about two years above her. He smiled a little bit as he looked around to see if there were any stragglers that needed a group. One person was only just walking through the door so he gave her a wave to show that she should join them. With a flip of her hair, she acknowledged him before going to get a quick run down of the agenda from the teacher who was in conversation with Mlle Bustier.

The boy, Mark, started to speak lightly in English, aiming for a simple topic of conversation. Marinette smiled gently before informing him of her established fluency. His eyes lit up a little bit.

"That's great! Are you all fluent?" he asked.

She shook her head.

"No, I had to practice English for.. my job."

It wasn't a lie.

"Oh. What's your job?" he asked.

"Oh, uh, I do some art work for people to use," she vaguely said.

He quirked an eyebrow.

"Like graphic design?"

Marinette bobbed her head back and forth a little bit.

"Sometimes."

Even though Lila was halfway across the room and there was no way Marinette could hear what she was saying, she knew that she was likely lying to the poor kids she was forced into a group with. She also couldn't help but glance over at the girl from time to time as Mark told her about his job as a barista at the local Starbucks.

'Damn. I was hoping Damian giving her the third degree would establish a little bit of humility in those stupid ponytails,' Mari scoffed internally.

She realized her conversation partner was no longer talking about 'that one time this random dude came into his Starbucks and ordered twelve shots of espresso with no sugar- he would have ordered thirteen if he didn't think his father would yell at him -' when she turned back and saw that he had followed her stare all the way to the liar. Her attention snapped back to him as he looked about to continue.

"Hey, is that the girl that Damian Wayne confronted yesterday?"

"Hmm?" Marinette took a second to sort through his words.

"Didn't Damian, like, come up to your lunch table and yell at her for something?"

Marinette considered for a minute. The vindictive part of her, and possibly Damian, wanted to tell this stranger exactly how terrible Lila is and why. But as Ladybug, where would she be if she started to slander the names of civilians just for personal validation. She had to disregard the satisfaction she had felt when Damian confronted her and be a bigger person. So she just nodded.

"She... stretched the truth a bit about something that involved him and he did not appreciate it, I guess."

'And that's putting it lightly. Doesn't-even-begin-to cover-it lightly.'

Mark grimaced.

"That girl is honestly really lucky Damian didn't threaten to sue or something. Or flip the table. I'm super surprised he didn't, like, actually freak out at her," the boy was solemn at his admission.

Marinette's brow furrowed lightly.

"What cha talking about?" the girl who came in late sidled up to the boy Marinette was talking to.

"Oh, hey Brianna. We're talking about Damian," he answered simply.

"Damian Wayne?" the girl pulled a face. "He's just the worst."

She said that a bit louder than originally intended.

Those that had eyes on Mari saw, for just a split second, her face flash with a scary kind of rage coming from a girl that short. But a second later it was gone, as though it had never been there. And her voice came out rather soft, despite the intense emotion she tamped down a second ago.

"What makes you say this?"

Since she at almost directly across from Marinette, she definitely saw the anger directed at her statement. So she went on nervously, unsure of why the Parisian would be so angry about insulting a random rich kid.

"It's just that he acts like he's better than all of us, ya know? He doesn't talk to anybody but that one kid from Metropolis, Jon. I have literally never seen him smile. He's got a temper," she finished.

"Yeah, he's kinda got that whole 'holier-than-thou' attitude going," Mark added.

"Also he's kind of scary."

Marinette just nodded, taking it all in, before another person cut in.

"He's been better the last two weeks, though."

It was Annie. Her little group sat just close enough that she heard most of their conversation and finally decided it was time for her to cut in. All five sets of eyes were on the club president as she spoke (Marinette and her partners as well as Annie's partner and Adrien).

"Oh, please. Don't defend him," Brianna said.

"No, no, I asked him about it. He just found out about his soulmate."

Annie's partner scoffed.

"Whoever she is, I feel bad for her. Saddled with the Ice Prince of Gotham for life."

Despite the fact Adrien was processing their words slower than Marinette, he could sense that his friend was getting agitated the more the Gotham kids said about this other guy. In an attempt to protect his friend and super hero partner, he gave redirecting the conversation a try.

"Well, if you spent your whole life with people trying to use you for your money and fame, don't you think you'd be a little cold too? I mean, it's not at all fun to have a camera shoved in your face all day long."

Marinette finally smiled at Adrien, thankful for his thoughtful addition to the conversation.

Brianna, still seated across from Marinette, suddenly squinted at Adrien before her eyes went wide with recognition.

"Hey, are you a model?"

"Me?!" Adrien was a bit startled at the sudden address.

"Yeah, yeah! I've seen you before, on a billboard along the Atlantic city expressway. Shannon, you know the one. That cologne ad right before that one truck stop with the Starbucks."

Annie's partner, apparently named Shannon, nodded vigorously.

"Yeah, 'Adrien' right? By Gabriel. I swear that billboard was up for two straight years."

Adrien's face lit up a bright red as the girls went on about the billboard.

"Huh, so I guess you would know something about cameras shoved in your face?" Shannon asked.

He just gave a vague shrug, now no longer wanting to look either girl in the eye. Marinette looked on with amused concern on her face, but glad the conversation turned away from these people unknowingly bashing her soulmate.

"Touché," Mark's partner laughed.

Thanks for tagging me @tinnike It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these posts. I’m also in the middle work, bored to death so this is a good distraction.

1. Why did you choose your URL? My URL is a part of a lyric from the song Panic Station by Muse. I adore Muse and this particular lyric always sounded like it could be a good name for a blog.

2. Any side blogs? Nope, none.

3. How long have you been on tumblr? Oh man! I had to go through my archive to see how long I’ve been on this hellsite and I’ve been here since January 2012. Does that make me one of the OG tumblr users? I’ve been on and off though, there was long period of time when I was completely off tumblr. I usually pop back when I’m obsessing over something in particular.

4. Do you have a queue tag? Nope, and I don’t know how it works despite having been here for so long. Never bothered to check.

5. Why did you start your blog in the first place? I don’t quite remember. At that time, I was part of a Muse community on LiveJournal and some folks there had tumblr. I was curious and wanted to check it out. That was the time I was properly introduced to what being in a fandom was all about.

6. Why did you choose your icon? Cos I’m in love with the man in my icon 🖤 My icon is a good way to tell what is ruining my life right now (in the best way possible). I adore Richard and Rammstein so it seemed fitting that I use his picture. He looks like a silver prince.

7. Why did you choose your header? Same reason as above, I guess. But I’ve been thinking about changing it to a more aesthetic shot of Rammstein or maybe something else entirely.

8. What's your post with the most notes? I have no idea. I used to post a lot of photo edits of people, musicians and movies that I like along with quotes. I used to be a graphic designer (UX designer now) so I loved playing around on Photoshop, editing photos and such. I remember one with Muse getting a lot of notes. So, maybe it’s that one.

9. How many mutuals do you have? I don’t know what this means. I guess this means how many I follow follow me? I don’t know that number.

10. How many followers do you have? 135

11. How many people do you follow? 103

12. Have you ever made a shitpost? Oh yes, I think I might’ve.

13. How often do you use tumblr each day? A lot! I’ve been coming back to tumblr a lot. Maybe it’s because I’ve gotten bored with Instagram. I’m on explore or even searching for a specific tag quite often. The content on tumblr is so unique and nothing can match its level of insanity 😆

14. Have you ever had a fight/argument with another blog. Who won? Nope. I barely interact with other users. Just reblog and enjoy the posts. Off late, however, I’ve been interacting with some lovely folks in the Rammstein fandom. 

15. How do you feel about 'you need to reblog this' posts?��There are times when I get influenced by those. Mostly because I don’t want any bad mojo because of my own subconscious.

16. Do you like tag games? Yes, I do! Please keep tagging me 😄

17. Do you like ask games? I feel like I might. But I’ve never tried it or never had enough followers to try it I suppose.

18. Which of your mutuals do you think is tumblr famous? I think each fandom has a few accounts who are popular, either for creating amazing gifsets or for the wikipedia of info they seem to have. Not really an answer but I don’t know what else to say.

19. Do you have a crush on a mutual? I guess the equivalent of a crush on tumblr is to feel seen or included in a group that likes the same things you do. At least that’s how I see it. So yeah, I guess I do have favourites and I like it when I can be part of their little circle.

I’ve had quite a few! I think the one I kept longest was “always we will queue as one”, from the Avengers Assemble theme song? Mostly bc I forgot to change it for a while. currently, it’s “i promise queue i’m not broken”, from TAD’s “Farewell Wanderlust”.

5. why did you start your blog in the first place?

I randomly found a trans guy’s blog who was... like he wore stockings and heels and makeup and dressed really feminine but was still A TRANS GUY. And that spoke to my lil not-out-as-trans-to-anyone-at-all heart, and so the first handful of posts were probably introspective shit. And then I started reblogging MCU stuff. And then birdie got a blog and I was lost.

Oh! My icon is currently art of one of my many DnD characters, a gnomish warlock named Cricket! My wife got a commish of her and her halfling girlfriend Ambria on Flight Rising from a particularly delightful artist, and I love it dearly.

Not with any particular blog. I’ve got particular arguments I feel strongly about and will fight any time I see it on my dash, but it’s not a particular FEUD or anything. Possibly the closest is the artist formerly known as zarabitha bc I had serious issues with their headcanons/fandom policing, but that’s ancient news and I’m p sure she never recognized me as a unique individual.

latter half of 2015, i was a bit late to the party because i was convinced tumblr was just full of emo scene kids and depressive quotes over black and white pictures but then i joined because i was in love with chris pine and i wanted to look at pictures of him. and now i’m stuck here, thank you mr. pine. oh btw that’s why my online name is pine :)

I absolutely ADORE crows/ravens/corvids in general and my usernames/urls have had something to do with crows/corvids since UHHH like college-ish?? My primary one used to be "TheCrowsFeather" but then I eventually decided I liked the image of a dapper lil Crow in like... a lil top hat with a monocle and spats on his feet and GentlemanCrow sounded really cute?? Also with the added benefit of people being able to shorten it to just call me "Crow" online and I liked that too!

OH crap uhhh I think I made this blog originally in summer 2011?? I used it pretty extensively/primarily until about 2016ish when most of my friends gravitated toward Tw*tter instead. So there's a gap there! I picked it back up this past summer to ravenously consume TMA content and post my fan fics since this seemed to be the place where the most fan content for that series lived, so here I am again! :>

yeah I honestly liked all of the inazuma 5* quests we've done so far! I think they all added something to those respective characters, save for ayaka's (it did further her characterization but also,,, a literal date. I think it was endearing but it made her feel kinda 2d? idk) I feel like the first two were kinda filler mostly because 2.0 was sorta the calm before the storm,,, (although why were we so passive fjdsfks i feel like the traveler needs to seek out stuff by themselves more lmao) raiden is finally someone who's both girlboss and kind and not reduced to either extreme (or limited to "(hot) wife material"), which is very very good

about the archons: YEAH I love Zhongli very much but I think he owes the adepti (at least) a Full explanation... he did mention that he hinted to both the Qixing and adepti that he's not dead but ganyu's dialogue when we were getting glaze lilies for the rite of parting AAAA I was so miffed Zhongli couldn't have taken her aside to tell her right there. Xiao too, literally they would be so worried for him and they deserve to hear it from him personally dammit >:|

I think the reasoning for the "test" was like. the traveler has a voiceline that basically says: if people knew Morax walked through Liyue every day, they would just go to him for advice, hang onto his every word and try to analyze and reanalyze it all the time, like with Ningguang's paper snow. I feel like that would be the scenario if Morax stepped down peacefully, since everyone would know he still exists; he doesn't get a good retirement and Liyue still relies on gods too much. trying to drown the city was a bit overkill (childe... o-o) but I will hesitantly trust Zhongli when he says he could and would save Liyue if it truly needed him.

i was less productive today and i'm teetering between being mentally stable and becoming a hermit again. i'm anxious with a lot of things atm so like : D not the best state. today it was a bit sunny but not hot hot which was nice. i changed my theme today bc i couldn't wait for sept. 1st. and no i haven't found anything that makes me happy HAHAHA shit like that's hard to identify. don't have anything to say too, i'm just thinking about why i'm procrastinating too much atm T_T and i'm listening to this rap song atm and one of the rappers sounded like han.

Despite it being a Wednesday, it was the first day in a while both you and your boyfriend had the day off and were in the same place. There had been much discussion on what the two of you should do to spend the day, but no matter what you settled upon, there was one condition you both agreed on.

Dodger would be coming too. He was a part of the family, how could he not?

Chris had woken up at 6 AM to take him for his morning walk before returning to bed with you, the two of you liking to sleep in whenever you didn't have work. As his strong arms wrapped around you, pulling you back to the warmth of his body once more, Dodger settled himself at the foot of the bed and snuggled close to his beloved lion, quite willing to drift off to sleep again. He liked to be close to the two of you, and he was rather compliant with whatever schedules you had planned. Such was the life of a dog with a celebrity for a dad; he had gotten adjusted to the fast paced, sporadic lifestyle quite well. 

Your eyes slowly flickered open at around 9:30, a sleepy smile crossing your lips as you gazed up at Chris' sleeping face. His arm was still around you, large hand placed on the small of your back. You barely lifted your head up to check on Dodger, who was sprawled on his side with one paw around his lion. Like father, like son. You were grateful Chris was getting the chance to sleep; you knew how tired he had been from his hectic schedule lately. You carefully slid out from under his arm, though it wouldn't have mattered if you had ruthlessly tossed it aside-- the man was practically unconscious to the world when he was tired. 

As you lightly got to your feet from the bed, Dodger was quick to get up too, hopping off as he looked up at you with what resembled a beam on his furry face. You giggled softly and leaned down to pet him all over, giving his head a kiss. "Mm come on bubba, do you need to go out?" You guided him to the backyard door, opening it for him and watching fondly as he shot out like a bullet. You left it open a crack so he could come inside whenever he wanted, heading for the kitchen to start making breakfast for you and Chris. You didn't even care much for cooking in general, but it always made you happy to be able to cook for him, simply because you barely got to. Even when the two of you could find time to eat together, more than half the time you just settled on getting takeout or eating at a restaurant because you didn't have the time to cook. 

You were finishing up the pancakes when Chris sleepily wandered out of the bedroom, approaching you from behind and wrapping his arms around your waist. "G'morning," he mumbled in his low, husky voice still shaded from slumber, and you smiled as you let yourself melt into his hold. "Hey there, babe. You sleep well?" you asked softly, turning your head to give his cheek a kiss. He lazily rested his head on your shoulder, squeezing you tight. "Mm sure did. And waking up to this wonderful smell was just as nice. You're too good to me, sweetheart." You smiled as you turned back to the stove, moving the last pancake to the plate filled with them already. You knew what Chris’ appetite was like, and the more he ate, the better. Now that he was done with Marvel, he finally did not need to be so rigid and strict with his diet, and you and his mother and “plotted” to give him all the delicious food you could. “You deserve it, babe. You’ve been working so hard. Now how do you want your eggs?”

Before he could answer, a happy Dodger came trotting in, immediately running up to Chris to greet him. The man laughed loudly as the canine began to jump on him, almost immediately leaning down to scoop him up into his arms like a baby. “Good morning, bubba! Were you running around in the yard? I hope you didn’t use up too much energy, because me, you, and mama are gonna go for a hike today.” You smiled in satisfaction, giggling softly as you turned to ruffle his fur. “When does he ever run out of energy? It’s been so long since he’s gotten that long of a walk, he’s going to be thrilled.” Chris smiled, kissing the dog’s furry head. “You’re right. But I think he’s more focused on something else now.” You blinked and looked to where Dodger was currently staring before laughing, rolling your eyes fondly as you picked up the plate of bacon. “Okay, okay bubba, let’s put some on Daddy’s plate first and then I’ll give you a piece.”

After the three of you ate breakfast, it was time to get ready. Dodger was already ready to go, waiting by the door and whining impatiently, making the two of you chuckle. “We can’t go in our pajamas, ya goofy boy! Wait a second!” Chris playfully chided, rubbing between his ears before ushering you to the bedroom. You watched as he peeled out of his t-shirt, subconsciously letting out a sigh. He heard this and turned to you with an amused grin, wagging his finger playfully. “Nuh uh, don’t look at me like that, baby girl. We can come home and have our fun, but our son needs us and if you keep giving me that look I can’t promise I’ll behave.” You blinked and laughed, coming over to smack his bicep. “I’m not feral, for God’s sake, I’m just appreciating my boyfriend’s body! There’s nothing wrong with that.” You smirked at him before standing on your tiptoes to give him a peck on the lips, then went to the dresser to take out the clothes you planned on changing into. “You gonna wear that sexy little sports bra I love so much?” he asked with a hopeful smile, and you giggled softly, taking it out. “Hm? Is that what you call behaving?”

“Yes. Misbehaving would be insisting you go without a bra on at all.” He pointed out with a cheeky smirk, and you wrinkled your nose at the thought, though couldn’t help but giggle again. “Okay, okay, get dressed. I can hear Dodger practically going into depression out there.” You changed into aforementioned sports bra, a loose workout tank top, and your favorite pair of Nike shorts. Looking over at him, you almost wanted to let out another pleased sigh. All he was wearing was a tight tee, workout pants, and a Red Sox baseball cap, but damn he looked good, especially with his bulging muscles. “You forgot this, sweetheart,” he commented, taking the matching cap he had bought for you and placing it on your head. While his was black with a red B, yours was black with a pink one. You smiled and adjusted it before humming thoughtfully. “We should probably pack a backpack, yeah? Water for all three of us, snacks, and some treats for him.” He followed you with his arms wrapped around you, taking his steps outside your own with a goofy smile. “You’re such a good mama. I can’t wait to have a baby with you.” He mumbled into your neck and you chuckled softly, murmuring playfully in response, “Now how about you propose to me first and then we’ll talk about it?”

He laughed as he pulled back to get Dodger’s leash and harness. “Oh, it’s happening, baby doll, but you can’t rush me. I need it to be absolutely perfect. And as of right now, that’s all you’re going to hear about it. Can’t ruin the surprise.” You smiled, shaking your head to yourself as you gathered water bottles, a portable water bowl for Dodger, his bag of treats, and a few granola bars into a backpack. “Well, you better hurry before I change my mind,” you teased, and he scoffed in response as he managed to put the harness on the dog’s squirming, wiggling body. “You’re stuck with me for life, babe, you know that by now.”

You sighed in pure bliss as you sat upon the grassy peak of land, staring out at the small waterfall pouring out into a river underneath. The two of you had found an isolated spot along the way to sit and relax, and Dodger seemed to love it too as he rolled around in the grass and basked in the sunlight beaming down. Chris leaned back as he adjusted his cap, smiling in satisfaction. “I wish we could do this more often, baby,” he murmured, looking towards you, and you nodded your head with a wistful sigh. “Me too. It’s so beautiful here, I feel like we never get to go outside anymore.” He nodded as he moved to wrap his arms around you, pulling you closer to him and resting his head on top of yours. “I know. Maybe it’s time I take a step back.” You blinked, glancing up at him. “What? From acting? Babe, you don’t need to do that. You love acting.” He sighed and kissed your head mumbling, “But I also love you. And our little bubba over here.” He playfully reached over to grab the dog and roll him over to his side, rubbing his belly roughly. “I want to be able to see you guys more often.”

You smiled, appreciating his sentiment, but hummed softly as you took his hands in yours and squeezed them lightly. “Chris, as great as that would be, I know you. You’d go crazy if you didn’t have a script in your hand, a role lined up-- a camera to be in front of.” You chuckled softly, lazily bringing his fingers up to your mouth to kiss them gently. “It’s your passion. And that’s not a bad thing. We still make our relationship work anyways, and me and Dodger appreciate the time you already do put in for us. If you want to take a break, that’s okay, but nothing permanent. I won’t let you, got it?”

He smiled as he listened to you, suddenly hugging you tighter to him. “I love you so much, Y/N. You know that?” You smiled as you nuzzled into him, tilting your head up to kiss at his bearded chin. “I love you too Chris.”

Bedtime was one of your favorite times of the day when Chris was home. Or, to be exact, getting ready for bed. After catching a nice, hot shower together and brushing your teeth while making funny faces in the mirror with the black charcoal toothpaste you had recently brought smeared all over your lips and teeth, it was now time to let Dodger know it was time for bed. “Hey bubba! C’mon, bubba, time to sleep. Go get your lion.” Chris leaned down to playfully pat the canine’s bum and you giggled as you watched the dog scamper towards the living room, picking up his cherished lion in his mouth. He trotted back to the bedroom happily, jumping up onto the bed and making himself comfortable. 

The two of you were now snuggled in bed in pajamas with Netflix on TV, Dodger curled up in between both of you practically passed out. Of course, though, if one of you were to get up to even simply use the bathroom or get water, he’d immediately be up on his feet again, wagging his tail making sure that nobody was playing or doing anything fun without him. You smiled fondly as you stroked his fur lovingly; Chris had made an excellent choice when he had picked him at the shelter, and you were sure you would both be adopting even more dogs down the road once both of you had more time. 

You were in a state of comfortable silence; one thing you loved about Chris was that while the two of you loved to talk and actually do things, you could also simply relax. There was never any pressure to keep conversation going or to keep each other entertained. You found pleasure in each other’s mere presence, and this was why you were convinced you could spend the rest of your life with this man.

You glanced over to him after about fifteen minutes, sensing he had been quite still. As you suspected, his head was slightly tilted, his eyes closed as he breathed evenly in his slumber. You giggled softly, carefully leaning over to turn off the lamp before settling down in bed, gently guiding his body down as well. He barely grunted and shifted, but soon naturally turned to wrap his strong arms around you, Dodger included. You smiled and pressed a soft kiss to each of their heads before resting your head on the pillow, soon to slip off into dreamland yourself.

1. why did you choose your url?

Fangqueen has been my username on every other platform for...idk, probably like 12 years at this point. And most importantly, it’s the name I publish my fanfiction under on AO3, so I figured it was about time my Tumblr matched.

I used to have blogs for rp characters I played......but yeah. We don’t talk about that. 😅 I’ve deleted them all since then anyway - except for one that was special to me. So no sideblogs, I just dump everything on here, haha! Unless you count my blogs for the fests I run, @rondracofest and @hpcrackficfest.

3. how long have you been on tumblr?

Ten years in September, babyyyyyy! 😂 Of course, I’ve changed my username a couple times over the years, but yeah, I’ve been on this crazy site for ten fucking years, wth.

4. do you have a queue tag?

I have to be honest, I either rb immediately, or schedule for a specific time later on. Literally didn’t even use my queue till I started doing fic recs, haha. So I guess I could technically say it’s #fangqueen recs fics, ‘cause those are the only posts I use it for.

5. why did you start your blog?

Honestly, it was so long ago, I have no idea, lol! Probably because other places I’d frequented prior to that time (and sometimes still do), like LJ/DW/IJ, Hex, etc., were kind of starting to die out, and I heard Tumblr was cool(??? 😂), so I decided to check it out.

6. why did you choose your icon?

This picrew is adorable, and actually looks pretty close to me in real life, haha! Plus it had flag/button options for both bisexual and bigender, and I couldn’t pass that up.

I’m fangqueen. It’s fangs. That’s pretty much it, LOL.

I don’t think so, no. I don’t know if it’s ‘cause I’ve been a smaller blog most of the time, or because I just don’t normally get involved in that sort of thing, but nah. I’m also never afraid to block people, so maybe it’s that, haha.

15. how do you feel about “you need to reblog this” posts?

As a person who’s suffered from anxiety disorder most of their life, I’m very much against those kinds of posts. I know what it feels like to be trapped between having a bad mental health day and not feeling like I have the ability to read/deal with whatever the post’s talking about, and also having a bad mental health day and feeling like I’d somehow be a bad person if I didn’t. I don’t think merely clicking the rb button on fucking Tumblr dot com automatically makes you a good/bad person, and I don’t think it’s right to play with people’s emotions and anxieties about such things just to spread your message. What you choose to put on your blog is up to you, and what you choose to devote your mental time and energy to is up to you. It’s always fine to say “this is important, but I don’t have the capacity to engage with it right now” and skip the rb.

It’s like this in spite (because?) of my wildly divergent aesthetic tastes--I literally can’t commit to just one thing, so I tend to be a bit lazy in the setting up, which translates into doing something impulsive yet neutral-ish in the moment, then letting it ride. I’ve reused it a lot for social meeds, which is probably not the wisest move (after I started getting all kinds of shitty hate anons related to two wealthy white men I’ve never met, I ended up deleting my old jlf23 twitter account, among others, oh, me).

Blog title meaning: pure Boy George punnery related to above-mentioned laziness! I used to lurk on tumblr about five years ago, so when I took the plunge to create a blog, I didn’t put much thought into it, I was, like, hmmm, tumblr, hmmm, that makes me think of laundromats and Boy George’s “I’ll tumble for ya,” let’s just use that. Thinking about it now, maybe my header should be a laundromat, which actually matches a lot of my other aesthetics as well, hmmm. It’s also why I have the stupidest ao3 name in history because I blanked and just used something the Swedish Chef on the Muppet Show says as a nonsense word PLUS a random nonsense musical instrument from ancient times. I’ve really exposed myself here tonight, huh? The pisces mood on a lot of levels!
