It was unfair, really—how easily Sirius could undo Remus. One look. One comment. One infuriating, self-satisfied smirk. Tonight it was the way he bit into an apple, slowly, never breaking eye contact, then said, “You’re staring like you’ve never seen me use my mouth before.”

Remus spluttered, turned red, nearly dropped the book he was holding. “You’re impossible.” Sirius leaned back in his chair, boots propped on the table. “No,” he said, grinning. “I’m hot. You’re just tragically affected.”

Later, when Remus was brushing his teeth, Sirius came up behind him and kissed his neck gently, almost apologetically. “You know I only do it because you’re so bloody cute when you blush.” Remus tried not to smile. He failed.

And in POA, there was Snape's line "Look at you two, quarrelling like an old married couple." OKAY DIVA. Anyway. In the fifth book, THEY LITARELLY STAY IN THE SAME DAMN HOUSE! This is an unrelenting portrayal of post-Azkaban Wolfstar, from July 1995 to June 1996. A story about grappling with what you once loved, when you’ve both lost so much to the ravages of time. And the attempts, slowly but surely, to put the pieces back together.

An old birthday tradition is revisited for Remus’ 36th.

“Just a little something.” He mumbled, his grey eyes sparkling. Remus damned Sirius for being so bloody good at presents, and glanced down at it. The strangled sound that he made was, admittedly, demonic, but entirely warranted. Because he was holding a tape. Its white sticker surfaces illustrated with felt tip pen. Sirius isn’t Van Gogh by any stretch of the imagination, but Remus could make out the drawings immediately. Tiny Moonys and Padfoots. Chasing each other in the grass. Underneath the light of a full moon, coloured in bright yellow. He sniffed back tears and gaped, not knowing what to say.

Summary: Recovering from the full moon is a laborious process for Remus, at his age. Sirius does everything he can to help him heal.

Snippet:

When he opened them again the sun moved, signalling the passage of time, making their room darker as the afternoon waned. Remus had finally shifted his position and was spooning Sirius from behind. There was a heavy arm over his waist, breath ghosting over his shoulder. He glanced at his watch. Remus had now been sleeping for twelve hours. He was sure to be hungry soon. A little encouragement to wake up wouldn’t hurt now. Sirius turned toward him and kissed the tip of his nose. 

“Moony,” he whispered. Remus’s nose twitched but he didn’t wake. So Sirius started pressing soft, insistent kisses to his jaw and slotted their hips together.
