ramblin about the Tf2 comics

Aww, that’s kinda sweet! From what I see in the comics, Spy is a man who could kill someone in seconds, who backstabs and betrays by blending in. But I love how he has his soft moments, like with Scout and that boy from the mall, and miss Pauling here and I absolutely adore that.

Also, this comic is a fucking gem. I love the facial expressions and the absurd humor lmaoo-

Another point I’m interested in is miss Pauling herself! She’s clearly not a good person, not being above murder and manipulating other people, all at the Administrator’s command. But I like how the comics show her struggles and how she’s slowly begin to question The Administrator.

From what I gather, miss Pauling may have both practical and sentimental reasons for staying loyal with the Administrator.

While The administrator sometimes tries to kill her (like that time she invited miss P for dinner but it turns out it was an ambush as a sort of employee review), she went as far as to apologize and told miss P that she’s proud of her. 

I’m not sure what their relationship is exactly outside of their boss-assistant relationship, but it’s close enough that I feel like miss Pauling is borderline desperate for validation and constantly justifies the Administrator’s actions. Also, the fact that miss P uses her true name when she’s questioning her motives makes it feel more... i dunno, intimate?

ALSO!! I like the fact that she’s kinda warmed up to the mercs! esp. Heavy and Pyro from her voicelines

Putting this last but I’m still overanalyzing this scene. While I think miss Pauling crying was more due to the disappointment of failing the Administrator (and maybe the fear of being tortured?), I think Spy’s words brought up the guilt of her failing the other mercs as well.

All I’m saying is, aww she cares.. kinda.
