NEW ALIEN

I call them Ocira. They're a sort of combination of seals and octopus. They're pseudo-eusocial and very kind

That wrinkly thing on their chest are their gills, which they can use to express certain emotions.

Their "teeth" are truly spines that can be raised to eat meat, or flattened to chomp plants.

To communicate, they do a sort of drumming and pinching of their swim bladders for different tones and squeaks.

They live on an ocean planet, in shallow, warm waters around reefs.

I might draw them more and tell more about them 😸

I LOVE cutiefly, and I was just thinking how fun it would be to make regional variant for them. I wanted them to look like a humming bird while still keeping the fairy look. Below is some info for Humixie!

Humixie live only in meadows and forests that are far from any pollution. While they're known to be gentle, curious pokemon normally, their tempers, when triggered, are intense! An enraged Humixie will let loose a flurry of sharp stabs with their long beak, humming angrily through the air with a loud buzzing noise.

I am still not satisfied with my more realistic style drawing skills, but I can see improvement comparing my last attempt with this one! (If I were to remake this piece I would probably change the foot, arm and get better at drawing clothes).

i am finally going to introduce my favorites of my creatures so far

THE SERPENTS

the serpents are members of Ophidoptera (winged snake) and are the last surviving non-avian dinosaurs. they have several unique features that separate them from the rest of Dinosauria. these features include venom, which is thought to have developed in their much smaller ancestors for defense, and external earlobes. it isn't entirely known why these external ears developed, but it was likely to compensate for changes that developed in the skull. ophidopterans have notably different head shapes than other dinosaurs, so it is likely they lost many of the internal adaptations for hearing that other reptiles have.

serpents have a range of sizes and specializations, so they are able to fill many niches. some of the more derived genera lost their front limbs entirely, while others became large, dangerous predators.

below are all of the serpents; each of them has a detailed biology but the last time i drafted a post with all of those details it was extremely long so im leaving them out for now. if anybody has any questions about them feel free to ask :)

Once again a creature from the continent of Slomen. A very primitive but also very specilised critter. 6 to 30 cm long, wet roots up to 45cm.

They live in many aquatic environments but most often you will find them in forest rivers and lakes. Some species have even adapted for life in the sea and could be considered fully aquatic while still air breathing.

Majority of the clade feeds on small animals like invertebrates sometimes parts of plants they can digest. Their hunting strategy is either burst swimming, jumping or just sliding on top of some slow prey.

There were two important species that started life on land, with the leaf ancestor being a smaller, less land specilised of the two. Leafs are one of their earliest evolutionary branches as land vertebrates and have retained many acient features like paw suckers and teeth instead of claws. In bigger vertebrates most of these little teeth were lost and became true claws or fingers (even present on the other land climber ancestor).

They can actually eat with their feet that are still closely connected to their stomach. But it applies only to very small food particles.

The wets are not very culturally significant but some regions do eat them. But the thick mantle isn't very tasty. In some places they symbolise good harvest season.

These little guys are also related to the 'birds' of Elve and I'm sure you can see why.

Rhodonite Wolf fantasy art doll

This doll is designed and made by me fully from scratch. The coloration is one of a kind and won't be reproduced. 

Resin, fabric fur, wire+plastic armature, feathers, primer, acrylic paint, varnish. Posable neck has plastic ball-and-socket armature inside and can be posed. Tail and wings are also posable and contain wire armature inside. Legs contain wire armature inside, so you can carefully and slightly move it to find perfect balance if you keep the doll on uneven surface.

They move with jet propulsion and by thrusting their arms through the water!

I simply had to add webbing, as that would make sense for an aquatic animal. They don't have suckers on their arms, just texture like what humans get when our fingers are soaked.

They have sonic muscles over their swim bladder to produce different tones.

Ocira languages tend to be completely tonal. The only two consonants would be a stop and a 'curl', bending the tone into another.

The reproduction bits vary for sex. Producers would have ovaries, fertilizers would have testes, and carriers would have a womb.

While ociras don't have bones, they do have hard cartilage that protects and covers their brain and heart, and well as supports the gills.

Minewolf 🐺 🦗🧨 (Novacanis Liquidus Detonare) or Xittocoyotl "Large insectoid canines with a sharp explosion-proof exoskeleton. They carry and produce a blue liquid in their body akin to nitroglycerine which they eject to defend and attack. Whilst solitary they can group together like a wolf pack and excel at hunting.

Thanks to their unmatched sense of smell they’re able to detect hazards early, the odor of mines and other explosives even if in different states of matter, becoming incredibly useful to demine fields after undergoing training and domestication. This species can be avoidant of humans however but once trust is gained they may become loyal companions."
