November 5th, 2022 was the last screening of the «Focus Ukraine» program as part of the Zebra Poetry Film Festival @zebrapoetryfilmfestival, in which my and Oskar‘s @oskar.schuster third poetry film «Tiny glow-beam/ Світелко» was shown. Our film contains „Two poems for N.K“ by the Ukrainian poet Ostap Slyvynsky @bogus.zolai and music by Oskar Schuster. When I first heard this magical verse by Ostap in 2018, I knew for sure that I wanted to make a poetry film. The search for music didn’t take long, by some strange coincidence, Oskar's melody "Valse de Milena" ideally suited Ostap's reading. And then there was Grunewald, filming in the forest, an old praxinoscope device, and much more magic✨.
