This time its a writing! I wanted to write out what Moon thought of Kalamela when the boys first met her!

Long post, so writing is under the cut!

The Waitress of His Dreams

Ring! Ring! Ring!

The bells that shone above the front doors struck together as customers entered, kids rushing over to the claw machines and roller rink to play and run their parents money to the dirt. The place was lit up like a neon rainbow. But, it's breathtaking attributes, the great food, kind staff and great music choices, also came with a few downsides. Extra shifts, rude customers, messes to clean up left and right, it's the usual restaurant experience. Free chaos!

Pulling into the parking lot and setting the gear into park, Sun looked over at Moon, who sat in the passenger seat of the car. He seemed kind of down, not exactly his usual cocky, tough guy self he always was. Probably because someone didn't want to actually take care of himself after getting sick. So, the after effects was low energy, whining, and a lot of sleeping in. But hey, they were best friends, gotta stick together through thick and thin! And the flu, too.

Sun sighed, tapping his fingers on the steering wheel for a moment before he looked back over at Moon, “Oh, come on! Cheer up, Mooney! You can't just sleep all day, every day. You do that at the Arcade instead!” Sun huffed, continuing to tap the steering wheel as the sunlight shone in through the windows of the vehicle, defining their faces. Moon let out an annoyed sigh, leaning against the window while ignoring Sun's scolding. Being sick wasn't fun when someone was yapping your ear off every 3 minutes. He let out a long, dragging sigh before he started to reply. “Says the one who talks everyone's ears off... can you just zip it for a moment?” He complained with a whine, Sun unamused and just staring at him with a 'why did you drag me out here if you were going to whine your ass off' look.

Meanwhile, inside the restaurant, a woman moved around as she served customers their food on trays. The sound of wheels sliding across the floor as she moved with grace, before stopping herself in front of the bar as she laid her hands on the counter. The man attending to the bar looked over, his nametag read 'Sprite' as he approached the lady. “Any complaints yet, doll?” Sprite asked as he mixed a cocktail for a couple that sat further to the west side of the room. He moved his hands with ease and swift movements as the woman replied. “Not so far, sugar. Hopefully, it stays that way, what about you?” She said as she moved her shoulders along with music that played over the speakers. The man nodded in acknowledgement before he thought to himself, “A few, most of em were dealt with by kicking them out.” He answered, wiping down a flower patterned glass with a towel before he set it on the shelf with the others. He looked outside, clicking his tongue. “Might want to get outside and attend to the customers before a riot starts, eh?” He snickered, before she sighed and went off the wheels of her roller-skates gliding against the floor as she moved with speed.

Sun and Moon were bickering back and forth, “Well, if you didn't want to come here, why did you ask me to drive us!?” Sun huffed, his arms crossed as Moon mocked his complaining by mimicking a mouth with his hand. “I was hungry, and we both know you can't cook for shit.” He retorted, Sun just frowned as he rubbed his eyes. “Neither can you! We practically live off of burgers, you son of a—”

Tap. Tap.

The conversation was interrupted as a woman tapped her fingers on the window, Sun looking over and sharing a slightly confused look with Moon as his friend scoffed. Sun rolled the window down, the woman smiling before she spoke. “Hi! Welcome to Crystal Cove, loves. Can I get you anything?” She asked, a warm smile displayed on her face. Sun immediately took note of her hair, it was so bright, very hard to miss. “Oh my stars, I love your hair!” He said eagerly, leaning his arm over the window as she let out a laugh, a bit flustered at the direct compliment. The compliments she'd get were often from kids rather than an adult. Especially an attractive adult. She fumbles with the notepad and pen in her hands as she replied, “Oh! Thank you! I really, uh, love your eyes! Reminds me of the ocean!” She stuttered, trying to give a decent compliment back to him despite the awkwardness and flustered mess she felt in the moment.

“Holy shit.” Moon uttered out with a low breath, feeling his face warm up as his eyes kept their gaze on the woman in front of them. He felt like she'd notice him staring but he just couldn't take his eyes off her. Her hair was bright, her eyes were stunning and her voice was sweet as candy. Sun laughed a bit, finally deciding to order something and looked back at Moon to ask him what he wanted, but stopped before he spoke. Moon was still in awe, and clearly he couldn't hide it with the red face he had.

Sun blinked for a moment, “Moon?” He uttered, snapping in front of his face a few times. He was confused, looking back at the woman who was patiently waited outside the car. He looked back at Moon, before he grabbed him on the sides of his shoulders and shook him to get him out of his dazed state. “Mooney! Snap out of it!” He shouted, before Moon freaked and shoved Sun off of him. Blinking and trying to get himself together, could tell Sun was totally aware he was flustered. The blush on his face couldn't be hidden so easily. He let out an awkward sigh, before Sun sighed. “Finally! Back to earth! What do you want to order?” He questioned, leaning his arm back over the window with a sigh.

“What- Oh, order... I- uh, what is there to.. eat.” He uttered, stumbling over his own words before the woman replied, the smile still on her face as she took out a menu from between her arm and her side. “There's plenty to choose from! There's ribs, steak, pork, fries, burgers, and much more! Drinks consist of things like soda, fruit punch or lemonade, smoothies or slushies. And alcoholic beverages are able to be purchased with proof of a drivers license.” She replied, listing foods and drinks they could have along with a few other things like small appetizers or just a discount for smaller meals. Sun nodded as he looked through the menu, Moon looking through as well but sparing a few... Okay, maybe a lot... Of glances to the woman. He took small peeks, just so it didn't look obvious that he was staring at her, worried she may get uncomfortable or notice he was blushing. He took note of the name that was written on her nametag.

“Kalamela...” He mumbled to himself, before snapping out of it once again as soon as Sun spoke, looking at him with a slightly shocked expression. “Would you recommend the burger yourself?” He smiled, the woman thinking to herself a bit. “Of course! Best in the state, I'd say but we may get sued by the neighboring competition. Feisty nowadays, hm?” She giggled, writing down his order as she made small talk. Moon was finally asked about what he wanted, which slightly shocked him because he didn't realize that she was speaking to him. “Oh- I'll just have what he's having.. And maybe a Coke.” He replied, shifting in his seat as she nodded, writing on the pad. Sun agreed, “I'll have a lemonade.” He added.

“Two full burgers, fries, Coke and a lemonade. Anything else, daydream?” She asked with a small laugh, making sure everything was correct and final before she'd go off and give the order to the chefs in the kitchen. Sun looked over at Moon who just shook his head, nodding he turned back to the other side. “That should be all! Thank you!” He said with a charming smile, as she nodded, before quickly skating off inside to start the prep for their order. Sun let out a sigh, before he shifted in his seat and whistled at Moon, who gave Sun a small glare. “So... What was that all about?” He inquired, leaning his head against the headrest as Moon slumped in his seat.

He grumbled under his breath, “Don't know what you're talking about.” He huffed, avoiding eye contact despite Sun's pushing for an answer. He distracted himself from Chatter McChatterson by watching the cars come and go out the parking lot and other customers sitting outside or kids running around and playing tag. Sun lightly punched his shoulder, “So, you're saying that you weren't just blushing and staring at that waitress in awe practically the entire time?” He teased, before Moon just flicked him in the face and shoved him back while Sun snickered to himself. “Tough Mooney went all soft as soon as he—ACK—” Sun was cut off by Moon trying to smack him in the face, the two bickering back and forth for a few minutes.

After a little while, the woman came back out with a few trays filled with food and drinks. She went from car to car handing the people their orders before she returned to provide the two boys their food. She tapped on the window again, waiting for Sun to roll it down. “Your food is ready, is there anything else I could get you two?” She offered, handing Sun the tray and drinks as he set it down between both him and Moon. “No, not that I'm aware of.. Thank you for the food, though!” He grinned, the lady nodded in response and slowly skated off. It was quiet for a moment before Moon rolled his window down and called out, “Hey! Uh... Kalamela? Is it?” He shouted out to her, going a bit quiet near the end as he started getting second thoughts. The woman turned around, confused and skated on back to the car all while Sun looked at Moon in confusion since they were just about to drive back home.

“Yes, honey? Did I forget something with your order?” She inquired, Moon delayed his answer for a second before he shook his head. “Uh, no. I just, uh... Wanted to know if you... work here all the time?” He quizzed, unsure if he, himself, even meant to ask that question. He let out a low sigh, “Fuck.” He muttered before lifting his head up as she began to speak.

Nodding, she replied, “I work here all week except on Saturdays and Sundays!” She said with a smile while Moon took a mental note of when he should come by. He stared for a moment before adjusting himself, “Well, uh.. Maybe we'll come back soon. Um, I'm Moon.” He said awkwardly, offering his hand out for her to shake as she took ahold of it.

“Kalamela, I hope we can see each other again! And your friend!” She smiled before waving the two off as Sun started the engine and exited the parking lot. After they were a few ways away from the restaurant, Sun decided to ask his question. “What do you think of her?” He wondered, keeping his eyes on the road while Moon watched out the window.

“Waitress of my dreams...” He uttered with a flushed face while Sun laughed, teasing him and egging him on as he was getting cussed at. “Maybe ask for her number next time, might be more effective, eh, Mooney?” He snickered.

Moon slumped in his seat again, “Maybe I will.”

Last Song Listened To: Bat Country by Avenged Sevenfold bc a part it was stuck in Darla's head and we had to remember it all.

Currently Watching: Well Darla and I jammed through all the early Halloween franchise movies. Halloween is my favorite slasher movie and I never saw any of those sequels so it was fun to experience and discuss all the themes and motifs etc. We aren't gonna watch the Rob Zombie ones together and I'm unsure if we'll watch the recent reboots? So I'm kinda in a what to watch limbo. But oh yeah if you mean what youtube tab I have opened it's Secret Sleepover playing observation duty.

Currently Reading: I have a library book that I don't like the writing style of so I'm avoiding reading everything else, at the moment! Oops!! But I am also part way through It Came From The Closet (Queer Reflections on Horror) which I'm enjoying a lot, I just need to pick up again!

I've only semi recently getting back into books, its been a bit since I've had the time and motivation! Being brave!

Sweet/Spicy/Savory: sweet!!!! I love desserts I love vanilla scented candles 🍭🍪🎂

Current Obsession: OCs as always! Current OC obsessions are Gabriel and Felipe. (we think they'll probably be an end game couple but its fun to explore the fact that they aren't there yet teehee!)

One of my obsessions that I just never mention ... collecting animal jpegs on silly old pet websites like chicken smoothie and neopets (not as into neopets but I got a Halloween gelert named pretty boi the first day I got back into playing that. I was on a mission!!! 😭) (and I've been constantly adopting pets on chicken smoothie since I joined in February lol. It scratches an itch in my brain of collecting and they're cute silly thangs)

Also Halloween and Horror things in general bc... (I get sad in the cold dreary months and as soon as Halloween is over I usually don't have much else to look forward to for a while so I'm holding on tight! It's October 31st somewhere!)

Relationship Status: dating and living with @duck-n-clover 💕💞💖💓💘💗 Ideal relationship bc they are always warm when I'm always cold. :) *thermoregulating you beam*

We met on deviantArt in like 7th/8th grade, later we started shipping our OCs, then met in person at a music festival I had extra tickets for and then a few months later they asked me out which is INSane to me how things happen and I'm so glad things have worked out how they did! Still sharing OCs together yay yayy wahoo!! (((Gabriel (oc I'm obsessed with) was Darla's OC and he was in the 1st drawing I liked from them on dA and now they gave him to me he's my own special OC now wah!!!))))

Currently Working On: ough I haven't started a drawing since finishing my 13 days of Halloween drawings. I am planning to hopefully keep working on ref sheets for two old OCs I brought back and their (new!) kids.

ohhhh god feenris. FEENRIS. they drive me bonkers every time i think about them. how they knew each other even after all that time had passed to the point where when dahlia started acting as iris phoenix picked up on it and was sick to his stomach about it and when they looked each other in the eye in that courtroom and said The Things Of All Time.....wough. OUGH. AND THE WAY PHOENIX STILL VISITS HER IN PRISON....god. i love them SO much. ideally i think they should just stay friends after everything that happened but i would not say no to the idea of them getting back together

okayyyyy i PICKED free space because i have so much to say about them. it's kind of funny because how much i think about them depends on the game i'm playing. if it's aa (especially aa3 + aa4) i RARELY think about them because phoenix rarely does (i would say aa2 as well because phoenix is doing everything he can NOT to think about him but edgeworth's proverbial ghost is hanging over that whole game so it doesn't count). if i'm playing aai (and i KNOW there are also lines in aai2) then whenever i'm not thinking about langworth i'm thinking about wrightworth because jesus christ edgeworth is down BAD. see like just with the natural progression of things i think when it comes to romance in aa1 it was one-sided on phoenix's part and then in aa2 and aa3 (and aai and aai2 and MAYBE the 7yg) it's one-sided on edgeworth's part and they eventually do get together some time after the 7yg but. that being said. thinking about them getting together in some fashion anytime prior to post-aa4 could lead to some delightfully messy situations that are so much fun to think about fanon-wise. i read this 80k fic once where they kept hooking up over the course of the 7yg and it was like reading a train wreck. prior to post-7yg situations they ARE horrible for each other and it is SO interesting
