GIF-ICON TUTORIAL BY FAIRYTALEXPOND

Ok squishies I’ve gotten a lot of requests for me to make this so here I go. Today I’m going to teach you how to turn this.

Into this

No photoshop required. Only gifs, this site and a bit of patience.

First obviously you pull up to the site and upload your desired gif.

Alright awesome. Sometimes the site is slow so it may take a couple of seconds for your gif to load. At this rate you should be at this screen. Click on the second tile titled ‘crop’ and wait for it to bring you—

Here. Now if you’ll look to the far left there should be numbers yeah? And on your gif there is a red square. Now first you’re going to need to type in 100 inside of the width and height column. If your gif is big I suggest you crop it into a larger square (which can be any number as long as the width and height are the same number) and then resizing it in the resize feature.

Now once you have your square shape. Click on it and drag it over to your desired area of the gif so you have the exact moment and character you want. After it’s to your satisfaction click the ‘apply button’

And there we go you have your new gif icon. That is unless you need to do a bit of resizing first. Pretty simple as well.

The resize feature is just at the top next to the crop tile. Click on that and wait for it to bring you here.

Pretty simple right. Now my gif icon right now is just the size I want it. But if yours isn’t the size you want all you do is type in your desired number of pixels and click apply.

Now once you’re done just click the save feature at the top and it should bring you to options do download your new gif. Click on save image local and then there you go.

Your new gif icon to use for rping or whatever you need. I’d ask you to please not save my example icon please as I have not allowed the public to take them just yet.

What's the ship?

  Avert your eyes Amy/11 shippers pls bc I’m not promising niceness here.

I’m sorry man but I just REALLY REALLY HATE AMY/11. Ok hate is a strong word. I disagree with it and I want to puke when I see how frick fracking ooc it is most of the time like jfc.

I mean how ooc almost every single amy/11 thing I’ve seen has ruined any chance of me shipping it. Ok don’t get me wrong I really like their personalities together and in a complete au (john amith/amy for example) I could go for it.

BUT EVEN WITHOUT RORY IN THE STORY AT ALL AMY/11 WOULD NOT WORK.

Ok I’m sorry but the fact that 11 first meets Amy as a child, is a bit of a deal breaker for me. It was the foundation of their relationship. Sure only a bit later she’s this leggy sexy thing but don’t you ever think if amy/11 was a thing that 11 would think about bby Amelia and cringe ???? Amy won his heart the moment he set eyes on her baby face. But you know I only ever saw it as a elder brother/younger sister thing.

And you know it’s mainly the fanfic and the rpers I see playing it. I mean okay Amy is a flirty shit and sometimes random smooches happen because she’s impulsive. BUT THE FIRST TIME SHE KISSED HIM IT WAS CLEAR AS DAY HE DID NOT WANT IT. You can argue that he secretly wanted it but Amy is not a rapist or someone who’d continue to pursue after that no.

And you know here comes the perfect time to explain why I think Amy was infatuated with the Doctor in early season 5.

Okay Amy, or at least how I see Amy is a dreamer. She can get her head in the clouds and crazy things come out of nowhere and she’s unable to understand them.

She also has a hard time dealing with emotions. For the longest time she was in love with with Rory, but had no idea whether the love for him was infatuation or she just felt strongly for him platonically.

And this happened when the Doctor came to her again.

Amy loves excitement, and before the Doctor she had none of it. And after those first weeks/months with him brought a new fire to her as well as so many emotions Amy could not explain.

She greatly admired the Doctor from the very beginning. She loved everything about him really. He made her excited and swept her off her feet like prince charming. She was in love with the idea of him, with the power and might of him and the ease he had through the danger.

But she wasn’t in love with him.

She was in love with the adventure and she greatly admired him. Now since she’s not the best at figuring her own emotions she concluded that these new feelings meant that she was in love with him and wanted to be with/travel with him forever.

And so she kissed him in a mix of confused emotions.

Amy was never in love with the Doctor to me, and never did I think the Doctor was in love with Amy.

And mind you this is before I even bring up Rory. I ship Amy/Rory to the end of the moon but their greatness isn’t the sole thing keeping me away from amy/11.

But you know at the end of the day I deal with it. a lot of people on tumblr ship it I’m okay with that. But y’know when I see some really ooc stuff about a ship I hate I might have to put my foot down and unfollow.

And dude I just really wished people could see how much of a beautiful friendship Amy/11 was. It really is my favorite brotp for Amy and they’ve made me cry. But really I find it said that people see such a beautiful friendship and not only turn it romantic but twist it and change it and the characters and ugh there is nothing I hate more than people making characters ooc for a ship.
