Im just thinking about how the M/C name is YUU. In the manga, im pretty sure that the Yuu is based on the dorm leaders, like how the yuu in azul's chapter represents the old him. Its like a mirror them but happier. Coz when MC introduces themselves is like "Hi i am Yuu" its like saying i am the version of you. What you could've been if you didn't experience the trauma you had or smt. Idk if that made sense i dont know how to explain well im sorry 😭😭
Edit: i remember this quote from somewhere it goes "i am all you could have been, and you are all i might be." Its literally the vibes of every yuu and dormleader 😭😭

i really like how canonically yuu is genuinely supportive of grim wanting to be a great mage. if i recall correctly, even character voice lines point this out. and it seems like yuu dotes on grim a lot and defends him too??? yuu even encourages grim's ambitions whenever he declares wanting to be a great mage. and also when he does that boss-henchhuman dynamic. i mean yeah you can interpret it as yuu saying that being condescending and sarcastic as if they're talking to a child saying "when i grow up i want to be famous!" but like. i really think they're genuine when mc loves grim in their own way.
even if grim is usually a menace, he's become like family to yuu.
and i'm pretty sure grim feels the same way.
think about it this way. despite all the mess, all the unpredictability, the danger, and all the drama being in nrc. what's always the constant? yuu goes home at the end of the day to the ramshackle dorm (basically their home at this point considering they slowly but surely fix it up over time) and with who? “the great mage” grim. as the sole outcasts in that academy, they both sleep soundly knowing they will always have each other at the end of the day.

I like to imagine for book 8 that Yuu (the player) will get hurt and Grim will go absolutely feral. Overblot are a combination/build up of negative emotions and Grim is pretty sad about the possibility of us going home.
Of course, that might be a huge play in him overblotting, but Grim is a good kid, and I think he would want us to be happy regardless of how sad he will be. Which is why I think there has to be a trigger that causes him to snap.
And what better way is for the player to get hurt? Everyone has been protecting us from being in danger/hurt, but what if there’s no one there to help or save us from that danger?

Mickey creating the overblots theory
Okay, so idk if people have already talk of this theory before, if someone did, please tag me because I haven't see any-
TW : english isn't my first language so there will be some error, I don't remember too much of the game Epic Mickey so there may be some errors.
The theory :
We all know that, in Epic Mickey, Mickey go in another world with a mirror, right ? And that he play with a magic pen that create after something full of ink.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What if that other world was Twisted Wonderland ?
I mean, the mirrors are the same.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And the overblot, especially the phantom behind them, look like ink.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And we know that the mirror can let people change of worlds.
It's like that that Mickey go in the wizard workshop, take the pen and create the monster. And it's also that mirror that show to Yuu/MC the Sevens in the movies we know. So the mirror is connect with other worlds.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We can also see that the ink go to one place in the map/world that the wizard create.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What if that place was the NRC ? Or the Sage Island ? And this is why so much people overblot.
And, for stopping the overblot, Yuu/MC will have to find the magical pen and use it.
Tumblr media
That was the theory that pop in my mind- idk if someone have already made it but yeah-
I love the idea of Mickey, coming in Twisted Wonderland, creating the Overblots, and letting someone from another world, Yuu/MC, dealing with it when Mickey is back in his own world.
And if Mickey is on our side, when he realize what he have (unintentionally) done, go back in Twisted Wonderland for helping us stopping the overblot.

DISCUSSION .ᐟ
Flames of Fate— Idia’s Inherited Curse
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Synopsis : Idia’s family inherited a curse from their ancestors, causing them to feed off of blot, cultivating both their appearance and seclusion. This discussion will explore how Idia’s personality is tied to his family’s curse and his bond with Ortho (such a cutie.)
A/N : This is simply a little discussion; this is in no way a bash on any of the characters. You are free to have your own opinion and let me know your thoughts in the comments .ᐟ
MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
Idia's curse does play an essential role in his personality and how he interacts with others. His family's responsibility to study and manage blot does affect his social interaction with others at NRC; the bearing burden of being in charge of STYX headquarters one day is very dire, and it makes sense how he uses technology as a way to escape that responsibility.
The Impact of Idia's Inherited Curse
It's clear Idia has anxiety, and his avoidance of interacting with others is not a preference for pure solitude; it's a coping mechanism. His family's affairs at STYX have put him in a complex predicament, and his future is written in stone for him. He uses sarcasm as a way to mask the weight of reality.
Since Idia's future is out of his control, he tries other ways to be in control. He prefers to talk with people behind a screen so he can dictate when he will engage in conversations on his own time. For example, in the Wish Upon a Star event, Idia only communicated with his tablet and refused to participate in the star-sending dance, once again avoiding situations he feels overwhelmed in, and Ortho had to step up and take his place.
His family's curse is wrapped in responsibilities, and as Idia gets older, he probably feels the weight of the burden, and that scares him. Idia avoids vulnerable situations because that feeling contributes to the pain he pushes aside. For example, multiple times in the main story we see that when Idia is put on the spot, he panics and reverts to technology; he's not the best at confronting his fears, so he relies on technological defense as a safe space.
The times we see Idia vulnerable are when he is with Ortho. The loss of his younger brother feeds into his self-isolation, along with the guilt that bears in his mind that he couldn't protect him. The curse worsens that guilt because he knows one day he has to watch and monitor the underworld, knowing his baby brother is down there. We see Idia's way of coping by reconstructing Ortho as a robot as a way to cling to the past and not confront his emotions; he modifies his grief to a narrative he can control, meanwhile his mental state is suffering.
Idia's Identity
Since his family is forced to live in seclusion, and STYX is meant to be secret, Idia has internalized the mindset that maintaining his distance is the only route he can take. Idia does show reluctance to making friends; for example, in one of his voice lines, he says,
"Friends? What a joke. Why would anyone willingly subject themselves to the hassle of social interaction?"
He views it as a hassle, probably because he has so much weight on his shoulders; he mostly sees friendship as another burden. Though I think we can all agree he secretly longs for it. Idia is well aware he must continue the work at STYX; even in book 6, the staff there refer to him as director. His future is set, and while he doesn't rebel against it, we can see he doesn't embrace it either. To him, what's the point of fighting it when his fate has been decided? So instead, he has a more reluctant attitude, but it pulls at our heartstrings because we want Idia to have the choice.
The curse does shape Idia's identity because this overbearing expectation floats above him constantly. He's very cynical towards people, thinking they lack sincerity and only seek self-interest, the curse influences that mindset.
Idia and Ortho's bond
Ortho is someone who understands Idia's fears and concerns, but he still encourages him to step out of his comfort zone. Seeing Idia happy makes him happy. Ortho is the voice of encouragement and comfort Idia needs.
Idia's pessimistic and cynical attitude contrasts with Ortho's bright and bubbly nature, and this isn't a coincidence. Ortho's personality represents the side that Idia struggles to express. Idia gets to experience socializing and unique opportunities through ortho. They may be opposites, but they complement each other in a beautiful way.
Ortho encourages Idia's growth, whether it's encouraging him to eat or encouraging him to participate in an event/interaction with his fellow third-years or underclassmen. Even when Idia refuses, Ortho steps in to help; he doesn't force Idia to be an extrovert and have a million friends, but he's there to support him and show him how capable he is.
Zero to Hero
While Idia's story is on the "villains" side, it's more complex than a classic villain arc. Idia can be seen as a tragic hero; he has parts to him that we can relate to or we can sympathize with, like his curse, his overblot, and his bond with Ortho, and he also has flaws, but that's the point—he's supposed to be complex, and you can see his selfless, loyal, devoted, or courageous nature when he shows it in certain matters like Book 6 or Book 7.
His character shows us the complexity of fate and human vulnerability, and we see his character growth little by little.

Twisted Wonderland Time loop theory…but only the vice housewardens know about the time loop besides Crowley.
The first loop, Riddle overblots like normal, except…Trey dies during the encounter.
Trey, just as soon as he closed his eyes for the final time, he appears right back at the beginning of the year. He watching Ace and Deuce—Past Ace and deuce get shorted into heartslabyul.
He panics of course. He tells riddle and the rest of the dorm But everyone thinks he’s crazy.
It’s not long until Riddle overblots again—sooner than expected. Trey can’t believe his eyes until he comes too in the mirror chamber. He in a time loop.
It’s many cycles before Trey realizes he can’t escape it. He’s tried everything. But he learns that everything must happen in an exact order. Riddle has to overblot on a certain day.
So he acts normal. He doesn’t do anything to stop riddle like all the other times. He doesn’t stop Ace from stealing a tart. He doesn’t make the correct tart for the unbirthday when Ace and Deuce come to him for help.
He doesn’t do anything.
Riddle overblots…and the loop goes on. Trey does everything to keep it on track from there forward. Everything.
It isn’t until one day after Leona’s overblot does the loop reset. He’s confused until he see the scared and confused look in Jade’s eyes that he knows what Happened.
It’s only a matter of time after Jade’s death and the next loop that Jamil becomes aware. Jade and Trey are surprised to learn that Kalim had overbloted and killed Jamil.
Rook is the next one to become aware. Jamil tells the story of Vil’s overblot while Rook collects his mind.
They never make it past the time all the housewardens get kidnapped by idia. They don’t know what happened but they always reset. They’re so used to the loop by now, they don’t even remember how many loops there has been.
They know everything that happens. Down to the last minute. There’s nothing different in terms of main events.
Until the most recent loop.
A magicless human shows up at the ceremony. They’re not prepared for this. It’s the one thing different from all the original loops.
Maybe…this loop will be different.
Maybe they’ll finally escape.

idk if this means something and if its intentional, but Vil overblot's markings has a similar format with Overblot Malleus, they droop on the center and has a net pattern covering their forehead, (Riddle has a similar design as these as well but his markings passes down his left eye rather than forehead), also interesting that both Vil and Malleus' overblot marks has an extreme reference to the motifs of their Disney Villain counterpart (Most of the these overblot marks are just "aesthetically designed" like with Overblot Azul and Leona unless im missing some interpretation here lol)
Obviously, Vil's markings depicts the poisoned apple, while Malleus', if I overthink about it really hard, looks like Dragon Maleficent's face being split apart in flames (if you join together the center part of his overblot flame, it kinda looks like dragon!Maleficents head silouhette) bad edit lol
Tumblr media
Its also interesting that those vertical diamonds in the center kinda looks like they're a sword/dagger stabbing through the apple/the dragon's head.
But my favourite part is Vil's markings... the design motif there are akin to Meleanor's laces to her clothes 😭✨
Tumblr media
This design with the curved dark lines and hollow vertical strokes inside it, is on Riddle's as well (like on the borders of his overblot heart marking), but this is a special mention bcs Meleanor and overblot!Vil is awfully similar already based on design 😭✨
additionally, "that diamond on the center" thing kind of looks like an imitation to Meleanor's crown
Tumblr media
But now, this is making me wonder... Was Meleanor's design created with overblot motifs in mind???😭💔 I remember being surprised she overblotted when that update came out, most of the assumptions about Malleus' mother's death pre-Book 7 is that she was mostly outpowered by the enemy, but rarely does it include that she overblotted too bcs pre book 7, they always emphasized that Draconia's are too powerful and based on Malleus' scenes before book 7 extremely in control of that power that they can just wield it nonchalantly (so it didnt gave off the vibe that they would overblot bcs that means they can be reckless with it (but nowadays i think this makes sense lol))
So with that said, does this mean that even from the start, like with her design, she was always meant to overblot, just like how most of the dorm leaders are the overbloters of each book?? 😭
edit.
random realization too lol but Vil and Malleus' share the same design on their skirt and their legs and maybe arms (but I feel like that design applies to all overblotters), They literally parallel with each other too 😭✨ Queens sharing fashion tips lolol

I wanna talk about the scene in the museum with Azul...
(SPOILERS FOR BOOK 3 AHEAD. ALSO LOTS OF RAMBLING! :D)
During Ch. 38 of Book 3, Azul and Yuu have a short conversation post-overblot in the underwater museum place. I always felt that this bit of dialogue was weirdly charged? The whole scene felt very intimate to me (and the soft music in the background doesn't help lmao), but I never knew WHY since nothing said was inherently romantic.
So, I went back and re-read through every post-overblot and realized that Azul is the only who who has a one-on-one conversation with Yuu after their overblot??
It's rare enough to have one-on-one conversations between Yuu and another character, but then Azul goes a step further. He's the only one to open up to Yuu about his problems:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some of the other overblot boys talk about their problems, but not to Yuu specifically. It's more of a declaration than confiding in someone, you know? (E.g. Riddle talking about how he prefers milk tea even though the rules stipulate lemon tea)
We, the players, are shown flashbacks of the overblot boys to explain how they reached this point but I can't recall if Yuu is privy to this information as well. (It's theoretically possible since Yuu already has visions / dreams of the Great Seven, but no one ever mentions it so who knows. I'm personally on the side of Yuu NOT knowing because it feels a bit invasive that they'd have this knowledge of people who weren't ready to share it.)
Regardless of whether Yuu can or cannot see those flashbacks, Azul is the only one to willingly talk about his motivations to Yuu. For Azul, this is especially important as he's so protective of his image as a clever and upstanding housewarden, and yet here he openly admits to Yuu that he was a bit of a loser as a kid (his words not mine!).
I guess you could argue that he felt there was no reason to hide it anymore since Yuu already saw him as a chubby octopus baby, but he didn't have to talk about it at all if he didn't want to. But he did. On his own. With no prompting. (Really, though. Yuu can either say they want to make sure he puts the photo back or that they're worried about him, and either way he drops his lore on them lol) And then Yuu tries to help him feel better??
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
To my knowledge, Yuu doesn't do this with any of the other overblot boys, either. I could have missed it during my research, but if they did it wasn't nearly to the same extent as with Azul.
I still don't know why Azul felt like opening up to Yuu. He didn't have to, but maybe he wanted to? Maybe he wanted to try his hand at being genuine for once and felt Yuu was the least intimidating person to do it with (the magicless human that they are). Who knows? I wish there were more scenes like this. It makes Yuu feel more included in the story. I also think it shows a lot of growth on Azul's end to open up about his problems to Yuu of his own volition.
I'm not sure what I wanted to say with this post, only that I wanted to get my thoughts out there about this scene because it always stood out to me. I felt there was always an undercurrent of something and I think it's because this was the only post-overblot private conversation we got with Yuu and an overblot boy, plus the added encouragement from Yuu at the end.
I'm curious to know if anyone felt the same way about this scene or if I'm just imagining things. I'm also interested in hearing any theories why Azul suddenly felt the urge to open up to Yuu, if you've got them!
Thanks for enduring my rambling!
Bonus!
Tumblr media
Azul's so funny for trying to play it off all cool like he isn't doing flips and princess twirls in his head rn. Yuu laid it on THICK. We all know he's freaking out internally.

Overblot Ace theory- what could happen if Ace used his unique magic on someone who is overbloting
[SPOILERS!!! SPOILERS EVERYWHERE!!!] after chapter 7 finale and now that Ace unique magic was finally revealed, i get a clearer and clearer picture of how Ace could Overblot, also, as a fun game take half a cup of water every time "overblot" is mentioned ^u^
as a smal recap, this theory originates from the game opening, from the fact that everyone that was show alone in a shot, overbloted, kalim being the only exception since the dorm leaders are all show alone in a sequence
guess who is the first to appear alone ?not sus at all
all the other heartslabyul guys where never show alone
now for my actual theory, i think Ace could overblot because of his unique magic
[ i'll take your best trumph/card- JOKER SNATCH] swaps Ace's magic with his target and allow him to use it as his own, there's actually many things we don't know about it, for example, we don't know if it swaps all of the target magic, or just their unique magic
(this is kinda unrelated) we also don't know if it works only with magic, after all from the spell incantation it takes a person trumph, their strongest "card", riddle trumph is obviously his UM but what about other cases? if someone's trumph was their phisical strenght or like, a knife, would Ace be able to get it ?
this is important to the theory, because here's a doubt of mine, what would happen if Ace used his magic in someone who is overblotting ? during an overblot is the magic itself be contaminated ? or would the blot just come along?
if any of that is true, it would mean ace would out of nowhere receive blot enought to maybe have a pseud / forced overblot himself
there was a line in heartslabyul battle map, where Ace asked himself what would happen if he used his magic on malleus, he never had a chance to do it, but considering chapter 8 will probably have overblot grim, this definetelly feels like foreshadowing
plus, lots of max level's lines hint at the character UM, ace is "this power is amazing, now i can help a certain magicless someone more easily"(so cute), Ace character arc had a lot of focus on yuu and how much he cares about them, and he also cares about grim
this is how i see it, Ace, in an attempt to protect yuu and save grim faster, uses his UM, and this causes his overblot, wouldn' that be tragic ?
you could also fit it in the timeloop theory, since ace is a freshmen with normal reserves and didn't overblot naturally, he runs out of magic much faster than all he others, and end up dying because of that, a tragic fate that never managed to be avoided in all those loops
PS: let us all have a moment of silence for the Ace betrayal theory after Ace's dream

Theory/Analysis of Malleus's Signature Spell and The Nature of Happy Endings
Tumblr media
So, with the various information that’s been slowly coming as updates roll out, I’ve been thinking about the events of the Diasomnia chapter thus far, Malleus’s signature spell, and the nature of happy endings. For fear of spoilers, the rest of this is going to be under-the-cut, and, fair warning, it has spoilers for the Diasomnia chapter (both English and Japanese spoilers) and gets kind of long.
Alright, so Malleus has asserted that, via dreams, he is going to give everyone their happy endings and thus give them a perfect life they won’t want to live, right? In comes his signature spell, “Fae of Maleficence,” that puts everyone to sleep and seems to grant him some level of control over what they dream about. Supposedly, it makes everyone dream of a wonderful life where everything is just how they would want it. This supposed real happy ending is a sort of callback to the Twisted Wonderland slogan “Let us show you the real happily-ever-after” or “I’ll show you a real happy ending,” depending on the translation you look at. Now, I’ve already done an entire analysis of that slogan here, so we won’t get into that here. Instead, I’m more interested in whether or not Malleus can actually construct a dream where everyone has their ‘real’ happy ending.
The thing is, what makes a person happy is very subjective, and it can be very difficult or even impossible to tell what that thing will be. And, to make a long story short, I don’t think Malleus is omnipotent or all-knowing enough to be able to do that for the entirety of NRC, the cast of the game, or all of Sage Island, much less everyone in the world of Twisted Wonderland. Instead, I think the dreams people have are Malleus's best guess at what their version of happily-ever-after would look like.
Let’s look at Idia’s first, because right now that is quite possibly Malleus’s strongest one. In Idia’s dream, we see a world where Ortho didn’t die and is going to RSA. Idia is still housewarden, and the dream is taking place during the first day of the semester, when new freshmen are coming in and being placed in dorms.
Now, I’ll be honest, this is a good guess as to what Idia would want most. Bluntly put, Idia will forever regret what happened to the original Ortho because he is at fault for his little brother’s death, even if it was an honest mistake that was made when he was only a child.
However, this dream does not account for some very simple facts. First, Idia is the way he is, largely because of what happened to Ortho. He would quite possibly be very different if Ortho hadn’t died the way he did. Second, what about the current Ortho? Say what you like, but Idia has been shown numerous times to genuinely love the robot, who is his little brother. Yes, he regrets what happened to his little brother, the OG Ortho, but he also loves his current little brother. In no way is Idia ever shown to hold himself back from Ortho because he genuinely views the Ortho we know, our Ortho, as his brother. The fact that our Ortho is a robot does not matter to Idia because, in Idia’s eyes, that’s his little brother just as much as OG Ortho was.
Because of that, I don’t think Idia’s happy ending would remove the Ortho we know and love from his life, because I don’t think Idia wants that. In fact, it would quite likely be like losing yet another brother to Idia. And that is where the flaw in the dream Malleus has shown him is. Because, bluntly put, Malleus doesn’t know Idia well enough to realize any of this and has been shown to not entirely view Ortho as human. And that is fair. Ortho is technically not human, but even then, he is still Idia’s brother, who is as close to human as a robot as one can ever hope to reach. In fact, Ortho is a wonderful example of the entire argument about what really makes someone a ‘human’ because if it's a soul and emotions, then Ortho has those. He received them at the very end of Ignihyde, but that’s a discourse for another time.
Moving on, we have Epel’s dream and the ordeal that is buff Epel. This is currently the most amusing outcome of these supposed happy endings. From a totally cold, logical point of view, Epel has what he’s always wanted. He’s tall, he’s strong, both Savanaclaw and Pomefiore want him in their dorm, and the list goes on and on. But, when one looks at this dream Epel’s appearance, the problems become pretty obvious. Because, let’s be honest, there is no way Epel would ever want to look like that. The entire thing looks exactly like Malleus trying his best to give Epel what he wants while not thinking about how some adjustments need to be made in order for this particular happy ending to come true. Interestingly, it ought to be noted that Malleus has shown some curious insight into Epel, though, in that Epel still has his pretty face in this dream form. Because, as Epel has grown as a character, he seems to slowly be getting attached to the unique power that comes from being quite so cute. Specifically, that people will underestimate him, and he can use that to his advantage. Nonetheless, in Epel’s dream, just like in Idia’s, we see that the happy ending is flawed and shows that, if Malleus did engineer to keep people happy and not wanting to wake up, Malleus’s understanding of the characters is too flawed for him to make a flawlessly happy ending tailored perfectly to them.
Onwards to Rook! Much like with Epel and Idia’s dreams, this one has echoes of the truth. Rook would no doubt love for Neige and Vil to be friends, and it is incredibly interesting that, rather than being the quaffed Rook we know, dream Rook is rougher around the edges in terms of his appearance. However, there are glaring issues with this dream too, though. The thing is, Rook adores Vil the way he is, and even though he would love to see him befriend Neige, he knows it's wrong to try and force Vil’s hand. In fact, doing such a thing would mean changing Vil, which would lead to him not being the Vil that Rook knows and loves anymore. In many ways, the beauty that Rook sees in Vil is Vil’s ability to keep pushing himself even after a loss and the way Vil is constantly striving for greater heights. Making him friends with Neige would damage this, though, because Neige is one of the reasons Vil always pushes himself. He doesn’t want to fall behind and lose to Neige, so he constantly works to improve himself. So here, the flaw to the supposed happy ending is that Rook cannot have this dream and still have the Vil he loves and respects.
Finally, we have Vil’s dream, and this is one of the uglier examples. Vil’s dream is kind of messed up, after all. So we have a super popular Vil with Neige as Vil’s notably downtrodden assistant that Vil is bullying. As Vil’s dream starts to fall apart/get shattered by the dream-hopper squad, stuff starts to go awry very quickly with the dreamscape shifting and taking us back to Vil’s overblot at the VDC stage. Except this time, Neige really does die. Stuff naturally spirals from there, but it is in this that the supposedly happy ending is flawed. Because yes, Vil does want to be popular and recognized for his hard work, and yes, Vil does want to triumph over Neige. I’m going to go out on a limb here that I’m sure some won’t agree with me about and say that Vil doesn’t want it to happen this way. In fact, I would say that Vil would never want it to happen this way. And the main reason I say that is actually because of Vil’s overblot. When Vil was overblotting, he described himself as hideous and stated that he could never forgive himself. Now, there is a lot to unpack in just those statements, but the baseline is that Vil was horrified by his own actions. Not only had he sunk to the lowest of lows, he’d become the very thing everyone had always typecasted him as and the thing he’d never wanted to be. The villain. Killing Neige is the last thing Vil would ever want to do, which is probably as far from his happy ending as one could ever get. Now, it could be argued that the dream was already fraying and that it was doing its best not to crumble, but even then, this doesn’t make sense. Because taking Vil back to that moment actually helped him wake up, because that wasn’t a happy ending. That was a nightmare and it actually helped jar Vil back awake because it was just that upsetting for him.
But would Malleus realize that when he doesn’t know Vil that well? His interactions with Vil have been limited at best. It is quite possible that all he really knows is that Vil wants to be popular and hates Neige, who is in his way. And if that is the case, Malleus, in his overblotted state, might have assumed that the disappearance of Neige would be a truly joyful thing for Vil.
Now, while they came earlier in the story, I’ve saved Sebek and Lilia until the end for a reason. Simply put, Malleus knows them. Sebek’s dream was well-put together as a happy ending because he knows Sebek well. For Sebek, Lilia getting to go on a trip and being honored by everyone would be a happy thing. Especially since Sebek didn’t realize the exact reasons for Lilia’s going away.
As for Lilia’s dream, it is interesting. Because it is less of a dream and more of an amalgamation of Lilia’s memories all leading to the moment of Malleus hatching. In it, we see some hard times for Lilia. Moments that would hardly be described as happy. But it all culminated in the moment he saved Malleus’s life. And that would be a joyful memory for Lilia. Because Malleus, the only son of Meleanor, who’d entrusted her son to Lilia, and he was still unhatched at the time, had been dying in his egg, crying out for help, and Lilia saved him. It would be a difficult moment to triumph over in terms of importance and happiness. Because while I’m sure Lilia has many happy memories of Silver, Sebek, and Malleus growing up and his times with Meleanor and Revan, this would be a big one.
It is worth noting here that neither Lilia nor Sebek’s dreams are really endings of any sort. Which quite possibly reflects the fact that they are important to Malleus. Malleus doesn’t want an ending here. He wants things to continue forward in a happy, perfect manner for these people he cares about.
So, in conclusion, I think Malleus is crafting what he believes will be everyone’s happy ending and that these dreams are less of an insight into each character and more of an insight into how Malleus views them. And it’s understandable that he can’t perfectly craft a happy ending for everyone. Like I said, I imagine happily-ever-after is very subjective for everyone and that, even if you know someone well, you might not know what their perfect happy ending would be.
Anyhow, this is just my theory, and I look forward to seeing how things move forward through the story. I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on this because I’m sure I missed some points. After all, I only play on the English server and so I used translations from the Japanese server, and I wrote this very quickly.

Okay but can we as a community start talking about Yuu snapping? Because like, I know every twst fan has thought about that moment.
That moment where everything, every single mask, every unfulfilled promise, every bridge made, everything. Is burnt to the ground by our hands, and we're left to stand in the middle of it all. Like being in the eye of a hurricane. Everything around you is destroyed, but you're left unscathed. For now, that is.
I also wanna talk about other characters reaction to the snap. We all know the first years, including Sebek who has his reservations, would be heartbroken and distraught at the sight of Yuu in a blind rage. Destroying all that comes close.
I think that's also what could cause Grim to overblot, he tries stopping Yuu or protecting them from the onslaught of other students magic and in turn he snaps too. Turning into an angry beast eager to destroy just like his master.
But also think about the people Yuu helped through their overblots. While Yuu isn't the closest to the overblot boys, I can't help but imagine that all of them held Yuu in high regard. So seeing Yuu snap like thats makes them think that all the work they did, all they progress they made, all the times they tried to change, it was for nothing. Because if someone as good as Yuu was unable to save themselves from a snap, who are they?
I could just be picking straws, but I think if Yuu ever actually snapped, it be a chain reaction if events that would lead the future of N.R.C. six feet under.
Just a thought...

@lavenderr-starrs created a theory about the Great 7 being petrified statues and my brain has gnawed on it like a splintered bone.
(11) This is probably just a silly litttle coincidence but I’m watching Cinderella three cause it’s a sweet movie that I thoroughly... – @lavenderr-starrs on Tumblr
Basically, the theory is that in Cinderella III, the fairy godmother got turned into stone and that a similar spell was put on the Great 7.
Here’s what my brain added: That both versions of the story are true. The version that we grew up with and the version that Twisted Wonderland has. Cause let’s be honest, some of these villains barely have 20 minutes in their films, it is how it appears to the princess/protagonist. What Wonderland has is the perspective and intent from the Great 7. There are details we have, there are details Wonderland has, and places where they mingle, but the victor gets to decide the story, and in this world, the victor was the Great 7.
But let’s say it’s true, and that the Great 7 have been stuck in stone for 1,000 years, because that’s the magic number in films. What would they have learned from their own stories and the world around them after being able to do nothing but think on their actions and motivations?
I think that many of the lessons that their counterparts are learning are the ones that they struggled to accept and ultimately led their downfalls. However, through watching others and being able to reflect, they have reached acceptance and peace a thousand years later.
For example, Leona struggled with his self worth and motivation due to never being appreciated and constantly compared to his brother, along with other factors. Nothing was ever good enough and ultimately feels that he has no adult figures that he can trust. Scar struggled with his intelligence and ambitions constantly being undermined, and it turned to resentment and hatred, the same way Leona’s overblot did.
I think after a thousand years, he would realize that, much like Leona, he blamed the wrong person.  Mufasa upheld the system that kept him down, but it was the system that was the problem. Simba was punished for profiting off of it, when Scar had the opportunity to teach him the true Circle of Life and how to care for all creatures, including the scavengers, and change the kingdom the way he envisioned it. It was about appreciating and finding the balance within it all, ruling with genuine fairness and interest. Ironically, he lost his intelligence and allowed his resentment to overpower his ambition, leading to him doing the exact same thing that started all this for. Throwing the Hyenas under the bus in order to make himself look better.
I don’t have time to go through each one yet, but I just think of something along those lines. What led to the overblots is what led to the Great 7’s movie deaths, but maybe it wasn't their deaths but their overblots in this world. With no cure for overblots, they were turned to stone, in order to ensure that they couldn’t hurt themselves or anyone else, but stories get told, centuries pass, and the spell was completely forgotten.
Until Yuu arrives.

(OB CARDS THEORY) OKAY, HEAR ME OUT
I don't know if someone already pointed this out but I just noticed something.
Malleus OB card was released recently:
Tumblr media
Here's the card stats and the spells translation (credits to u/Agisleepy on Reddit )
And just today I noticed that OB Malleus (EN) has the same spells:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THAT SAID,
will the next overblot cards be the same as the OB we fought with??
If so, this is Idia's spells and elements:
Tumblr media
(Ooh if just the stats were the same... but no, unfortunately (?) it's just the spells)
Vil's:
Tumblr media
And Jamil's:
Tumblr media
Azul's one it's water and plant, one of them has cure (don't remember if it's restore or regen and which element was), but I'm not in book 7 OB Azul's chapter yet, so I got lazy to play and print the stats, sorry~
What do you think?

I just started to write a little TWST fanfic for/about the end of the schoolyear and suddenly Idia makes a grand entrance with a theory about the overblots, after Yuu brought up their visions:
“In my visions, I see a clear connection between the Great Seven and the overblot disasters. They appear like bad omens in my dreams and the overblot monsters always resemble them somewhat, I think… But perhaps that’s silly of me-“ “No, your visions are an important clue, just like all the other parallels between the overblots”, means Idia. “Looking at the history of the Great Seven, they were in similar situations as us, who overblotted, at some point in their lives, but they have always chosen to do the right and good thing, while we gave in to our inner darkness. It happened way too often to be a coincidence. Even if we don’t see yet, how heroic guys, who have been dead for ages, could have a bad magical influence on us now, it is possible that perhaps – that’s just my theory – it was their inner darkness that was sealed away ages ago that resurfaced and merged with ours, with the compatibility making this possible or at least easier.” “Now that you say that”, says Yuu, “I remember that in my dreams the Great Seven actually also do the wrong thing!” “Huh!? And you only mention that now? That's another indication!”, exclaims Idia. “That history was altered a long time ago, but now whatever cheat-skill-magic has suppressed the darkness, the blot, is weakened and history tries to correct itself!”
The guys should actually plan an event, but instead they really want to discuss what may be behind the overblots.😅 I have a little subplot now and I think it's a cool theory (won't claim it's mine because someone probably had this idea before), so I wanted to share it with everyone in a post. 🙂

How I Think You Could Possibly Beat OB! Malleus
Note: I am in the eng server in Twst and so far only part two has been released. I have seen some spoilers for the book before it was released in english, and few posts about battles. This is a theory and I'm so so sorry if someone has already done this.
Possible Battle Info:
In the first battle which we fight Malleus, his HP is 300,000. He also heals himself every turn, is immune to damage on even numbered turns, and does between around 5000-8000 damage each hit. His element is void.
This theory is on the assumption that for the final time we fight him, he IS actually beatable with the same stats excluding the healing every turn.
Also, I saw a post once where he does 30,000 damage on the second turn? Don't know if that was the final battle if it was released in the JP server.
Also, no idea which battle it was with Overblot Malleus, but someone got up to 10 and/or 15 turns with him.
Our (player) Cards:
You can get around 60,000+ HP depending on the cards you have. Fully maxed out cards and spell levels will get you between around 10,000-20,000 damage depending if the spell is weak damage or strong damage.
With duo magic, you can get up to 20,000-30,000 damage.
Possible Math Part: HP/ATK = Turns
300,000/30,000 = 10
300,000/20,000 = 15
300,000/15,000 = 20
Could be Conclusion:
You need a team with consistent buddies. Heartslabyul cards usually buddy with each other, so that's a good example of a team.
Event cards buddy with different people than the ones they buddy with in the dorm uniform. For example, Dorm Ace buddies with Deuce, but Suitor Suit Ace buddies with Riddle.
You can have cards that buddy with each other back to back, for example; Dorm Leona and Vil buddy with each other
Or cards that have different buddies, usually event cards, for example; Applepom Epel buddies with Idia, but Dorm Idia buddies with Ortho.
You also need to last probably longer than 10 turns, and have your team maxed out on levels and spells.
Uncapping should also help with the spell levels for HP and attack power.
--
I have no idea if this has a chance or this is unrelative and far out the window. Feel free to comment anything I missed or am wrong about
:)
