Kiriko isn’t one to spill about her feelings, especially about any crushes. The only people who can know about it is her mother while Genji and Hanzo will find out no matter what. But this also means she’ll confess when she deems it ready.

This timing wasn’t ideal, but it happened. A mission had gone wrong leaving you both separated from the others while you were hurt. You could hear her panicking.  “Don’t you dare leave me yet.” Though the sentence was short you understood her statement.

Growing up she was a massive arcade kid, going with Genji. So she wants you to experience it as well. On this date she’ll win every machine to get you any prize you’d like. And if you’re not ready to end it just yet she’ll treat you to a movie of your choice.

She is constantly on her feet and running all day, so she appreciates a slower and calmer date. Whether it’s inside watching a movie or some board games, or it’s in a quiet restaurant.

A lot of the time she will give you affection in public if you ask, but if you don’t the most she’ll do is handholding and hugs. In private she’ll be attached at your hip, only leaving if it’s really important.

Is a huge baker, if she could she would bake daily. But she enjoys baking anything you can share, whether it’s cakes, cupcakes or even cookies. Her all time favourite is Dorayaki, it’s simple enough and there's always some to share.

At her mother’s place there is a box hidden away, which is full of different types of plushies. Only to find out they are old ones Kiriko made years ago, currently she has improved the skill. Making and giving you different plushies for any occasion.

While awake she isn’t the biggest cuddler, but if she had the chance to hang around you, she would take it. But while she’s asleep, you’re never getting her off you. Starting in the most comfortable position to only wake up still there, Kiriko not letting you move.

There are many parts of her life, but her family and friends make up the majority. Her mother comes first in any situation, Genji and Hanzo have become a close second alongside you. Although missions are above you three, no matter how much she loves you the safety of everyone else comes first.

She’ll drag you for motorbike rides at the weirdest times. Midnight? 4am? Absolutely. While the roads are empty and quiet, able to take you on simple trails and just spend time with you. Although while you’re riding Genji does spectate, on top of random buildings. The bright green standing out from the darkness of the city

You can never catch her without her music, except on missions. She doesn’t want to risk that for some song. But anywhere else she’ll have a pair or headphones or some earphones playing her favourite artists. A few are Blackpink and Stray kids.

Chat got tired of you two not dating quickly, so they did it for you. On one of her streams they outed her feelings in chat when you were looking.

When she caught it the words were deleted immediately, but you saw them. She was panicking before you accepted her feelings. Even when chat was celebrating, the stream was abruptly stopped.

While gaming is her whole thing she decides to do something else for the first date. Booking and taking you to a beginners painting class, leading to her making you a personal painting.

After starting the relationship she became shy to be alone with you, even more than before dating. Which means she’ll do a lot of group dates with her and your friends. Enjoying how they were at the right pace.

After a while of dating she’ll be a lot more confident in her affection. As long as you're okay with it you’ll get kisses all day and all night, in public and private. Though she slows down in the afternoon, at night she leaves slow and light kisses.

She’ll include you in a lot of hobbies, gaming is the main one so obviously you’ll join her. Although her painting skills aren’t amazing they are good, having painted often growing up. So you’ll have a few canvases and other painted objects hanging around.

Is a huge fan of making playlists for anything. For different games, streams, even her friends have one made. But yours? Multiple with plenty of songs.

When she’s awake Hana is one of the biggest cuddle bugs. If possible she will hang on to you, not letting go unless it’s necessary. But when she’s asleep, she’ll start the night by holding onto you. During this she'll slowly drift away but always keeps touching you, whether it’s a finger or her hand.

If you’re dating her at some point you will show up on her streams, whether it’s just hanging around or playing. Her favourite streams are when you join her, especially when playing. Also meaning she’ll buy you any game and in game cosmetics so you can match. <3

Working for Overwatch and being an international gamer is hard work, busy and constantly moving around. If possible she’ll drag you along, but if she can’t just ask for anything and she'll either bring it back or have it shipped over.

It’s unavoidable. You’ll be given gamer and game related pet names. Obvious ones are “My player 2” or “My duo.” A few others are from your favourite character or their game, she expects you to do the same with her.

Romantic Dvattra Hcs

Hana drags Ramattra along to dates and outings and he can't find it in himself to deny her

Ramattra was initially very scared to even attempt to touch her, but Hana shut that down real quick by jumping him whenever she got the chance. Now, it's something they've sort of adapted to- Hana initiates most of the contact between them, and Ramattra is always there to grab or catch her if she needs it

Ramattra gets very protective of his human. She's small and fierce and his, and if you try anything he'll make sure you regret being born. Hana pouts about him "not letting her have any fun" but she loves that he cares so much about keeping her safe

Ramattra lets Hana paint his armour. Sometimes she makes him match her, with pink bunny decals and face markings, but sometimes she gets into more artistic moods and paints more extravagant things onto him. He tries to keep it on his person for as long as possible

Hana jokingly gifts Ramattra with her merch, and is surprised when he keeps and uses it

Hana falls first, but Ramattra falls harder

Dvattra isn't a favourite ship of mine, but they are cute. I like the dynamic and differences between the two, and obvs I've seen some very convincing art. I hope that these suffice :)

these are just hcs, and they range from being pretty close to canon (junkrat and hanzo) to not at all. so yeah! just sharing my hcs :3

I think people see Kiriko and instantly misunderstand the point of her character, and I don't blame them, because it feels like there were two goals behind her creation. The first was to make a marketable character for the release of Overwatch 2, which is where the main problems with her writing comes up. The second was to show what the consequence of the Shimada clan dissolving was, to be the external consequence of Hanzo's actions to the same way that Genji is the internal consequence.

Kiriko, and the way she is written, is so interesting to me because there are obvious signs that her general story and role was thought through. Her and her family had to pick up what Hanzo left behind, with little preparation and little support. Not only that but Kiriko not only lost Genji and Hanzo, people she considered siblings, but her parents too, as after Hanzo left, Genji was killed and the Shimada clan dissolved, she was under direct threat from the Hashimoto. It's why her name had to be changed to Kiriko Kamori. It's obvious that she cares about her parents but there is also the fact that with Kirko being so much younger then the brothers (again I hc that chronologically she's around 26) it shows that she had to be raised by her grandmother after the Shimada clan fell.

There is also the fact that Kiriko in specifically Hanzo's story, fills a similar role that Cassidy does in Genji's, except she's the younger sibling while Cassidy is the older. They offer the brothers a second chance.

She's a lot more complex then a lot of fans and what the marketing team make her out to be. What a lot of her interactions make her out to be.

I see people complain that Kiriko shouldn't be as "mean" as she is, but honestly, her more hostile lines are the ones I think are most in character for her. I also think that with her interactions, she's interacting with the wrong characters. There are a couple more then just Hanzo and Genji's that I think are in character for her, specifically her interactions with Ana, Dva, Sombra, Pharah and Cassidy in her multi-interaction.

These interactions actually show interesting dynamics, even if they are more jokey, it makes sense for her to joke with them. With Ana, she's a lot like Asa, with Pharah and Dva they just share a lot of similarities so of course they would get along, with Sombra we see that she's a more morally grey character and with Cassidy we see how she could genuinely connect with other characters through her relationship with Genji. Those are the best interaction for her because they show use how Kiriko works as a character.

But with all the character's I listed, barely any of them have more then one interaction with her. Hell, she has one one-on-one interactions with Lucio then she does with Hanzo or Genji?

Listen I love Lucio, but why do those two interact more then Kiriko and Genji do. I would kill to see some of Kiriko's bitterness towards Genji too, how despite being with Overwatch he didn't try and help her family, help her. I would love to bring back Cassidy's guilt about Hanamura in a conversation between him and Kiriko. Even a conversation between her and Doomfist would be interesting as it's implied he and Kiriko's mum have some kind of history.

The point of the pre-game interactions is to get an idea of character dynamics and the character themselves that we wouldn't otherwise get. Yet whoever is directing the voice lines for Kiriko are using them to try and make her more marketable, and it's negatively affecting her character. She's a character who can be a bit goofy sometimes yes, but she shouldn't be a goofball character, which is what a lot of her in game dialog makes her seem like.

In conclusion, watch her cinematic, read "Yokai" and read "Where Honor Lives" to get good Kiriko characterization. In my opinion she's so much better in outside game content.

The other 1% are accidents and Lucio is the only person Junkrat apologizes to

He doesn't even do that for Roadhog, so this is a very rare honor

Junkrat is so on board with Lucio being a freedom fighter

The enthusiasm is much appreciated, but Lucio does have to explain in detail what he's really fighting for

Junkrat's chaotic nature is just on board with anything

And, despite being the resident yapper of overwatch, he really does like listening to lucio telling him abt things he wasn't aware of while being in Australia

Lucio shows Junkrat a kind of love Jamison has never seen before and Junkrat helps Lucio learn that it's okay to lose his cool sometimes

They just compliment each other so well

Who confessed? How did it go? They had a silent pining for each other that was clear to everyone around them, besides each other. Hana would often make up excuses to work with Brigitte, and Brigitte would make up reasons why she needs to work on Hana's MEKA just to spend more time around her. It was cute, but they both are hopeless when it comes to confessing. I think Brigitte would've been the one to confess, and it would've been a really sweet moment where she couldn't handle bottling up her feelings any longer, and just wanted to know if Hana felt the same way or not so she could work through it. Brigitte would've asked Hana to speak with her privately about something important, leading Hana to believe it's something involving her MEKA. When they'd meet up, thats when Brigitte would tell her how she felt, putting emphasis on how she's okay with Hana not feeling the same way, and doesn't expect anything back. She would be brought to tears as she explained that she understands if it breaks their friendship, and changes things between them only to find out Hana feels the same way and has this whole time.

Who spends all their money on the other? Hana definitely likes to spoil Brigitte rotten, it's insane. She likes seeing the way Brigitte's smile grows when she realises Hana bought her something she's been really desperate for, but couldn't justify the price point. Brigitte can be somewhat frugal, especially when it comes to herself. She doesn't like to overconsume, and likes to use what she has until it's broken completely (after her many attempts at fixing it herself). Hana respects this, but often times she'll buy her things that she knows she wont buy for herself but would benefit her. The most recent being a Hatch alarm clock - Brigitte's very into looking after her body and mind, and was fascinated by the idea of an alarm clock naturally waking you up. The minute she saw the price, she disregarded it as a possibility completely, but Hana bought it for her anyways as an early birthday present. It made Brigitte so happy, especially since she didn't ask for it and yet Hana made the effort to buy it for her anyways.

Who cooks and why? Brigitte loves to cook for Hana, and her meals are usually comfort foods for Hana but with a healthier twist to encourage her to be more mindful of what she puts into her body. Hana's not trusted to cook anymore either after she left the oven on after cooking a frozen pizza, causing a small fire late at night in the Overwatch communal kitchen. It's something she'll never live down, but Brigitte encourages her to try cooking more with her, and gives her tips to help prevent things like that happening all over again.

What does their ideal date look like? Hana loves a date night in, and always has. This is something I can imagine being interchangable in her relationships. However, Brigitte brings out a side to her that she didn't realise she had. She's found that she loves thrill-seeking activities as dates with Brigitte, and feels she can trust Brigitte in moments where her hearts racing, her mind's foggy and the adrenaline of what they're doing together is taking over her body and soul. It's not something they can do all the time, with their busy schedules, but Hana's grown to love more activities like that and exploring the possibilities wherever they end up with Overwatch. Brigitte, on the other hand, likes dates in nature. She likes to embrace herself in calming places and loves to hike with Hana (even if she's whining the entire time). It's something she's always loved, but she doesn't mind staying in or staying local in the city for their dates. As long as she can spend time with Hana, she's happy at the end of the day.

What do their online conversations look like? Brigitte and Hana have each other on every social media platform possible - they especially use TikTok, Instagram and Discord (as per Hana's request). Brigitte likes to send Hana videos on tiktok that remind her of Hana or them as a couple, and Hana likes to tease her with replies like ‘what does this mean' or ‘yeah not us at all couldn’t be us'. It's fun for them, and it helps for when they don't have the energy to text. Hana loves to text on discord and uses silly little emotes that Brigitte doesn't quite understand but tries to. A lot of the time, they're joking with each other back and forth with light teasing, and every so often they'll text about how they miss each other with things like ‘come over where are you?!’, that sort of thing. That's especially common if either of them are away from Overwatch HQ and on a mission, with the other having to stay back because they're not needed for said mission.

What are some small gestures they love from one another? Brigitte loves when Hana holds her hand in public, especially if she's anxious in that moment about the mission or her public image. Knowing someone doesn't care about how people might perceive them (as a WLW couple and as Overwatch members), and only cares about showing their love in a small but sweet way makes Brigitte's heart melt. It's important to her, and she enjoys the little ways Hana shows PDA that isn't overbearing or doesn't make her cringe. Hana loves when Brigitte gives her her jacket or coat if they have a late night date. They often go to bars together, having fun and enjoying themselves, and despite Brigitte reminding her that it's cold, Hana never brings a jacket. Sometimes she does it intentionally to get Brigitte to give her hers, but she never has to ask for it regardless. Brigitte offers it, and often makes her wear it because she's shivering in the street. It's something Hana thinks is incredibly sweet, and makes her feel more protected and loved by Brigitte.

Who's the type to take a picture of the other when they fall asleep (i.e. when they fall asleep on the other's shoulder or in a funny position)? They do it equally as much as the other does, it's something they sort of see as a contest of ‘who can get the best picture'. Initially it started after Brigitte made her homescreen Hana asleep on her chest - she thought it was cute and wanted to be reminded of that moment every time she opened her phone. However, Hana took it as a challenge to get a better picture and show it off on her own lock screen. It's been a back and forth between them since the beginning of their relationship, and they revel in the embarrassment and competitive nature in this small act. They've both gone as far as getting other Overwatch members to sneak pictures of each other asleep (especially if it's in an awkward or funny position) if they're away from one another, just to try and win.
