Something I really don't understand is this obsession the anti-Israel crowd (in the West) have with death and martyrdom. All they care about is dying, and often killing for their cause; I see nothing about building a better future that isn't based on the murder of 9 million Israelis.
It's easy to die for a cause. The challenge is living to make a better tomorrow.

it's "don't let yourself be radicalized" until you tell them to not support terrorist organisation or wish death onto people they see as evil.
if you think death threats are good when the person "deserves it", you're radicalized.
if you think supporting an organisation that have committed multiple crimes and is known for being terrorists, you're radicalized.
if you dehumanize the other side and believe they're evil/bloodthirsty/animals/brainwashed, you're radicalized.
if you think blind violence against regular people and small businesses is good when it's for the "right" cause, you're radicalized.
if you think children and minors are monsters for being born into a world that taught them to support the opposite side, you're radicalized.
even the most vile person on the planet is still human, if a movement tells you some people are less human because of their race, religion, gender, sexuality, or political beliefs:
YOU ARE BEING RADICALIZED.

I saw people on twitter talk about how Jack Black and Neil Gaiman are 'good Jews' because they are not 'evil Zionists'. The reason given? They are for a two state solution.
And I don't know how to tell this to none Jewish people kindly but uh.................... that. That's Zionism?
Believing in Palestinians right to have their own State, self determination and the right for a safe home, for education, for a life free of Hamas and Terror in a Two State Deal is Zionism because the other state in this deal???? Is still Israel. it is still a Jewish state. It is still believing in our rights to return and stay in our ancestral homeland.
Being for a two state Solution, for peace and for working together can and is part of being a Zionist !! And also you don't get to call people good or bad Jews that is antisemitic as fuck.

Friendly reminder that A Land for All is an excellent organization that is still, even now, working to create an equitable resolution to the conflict. Please check them out:
I also strongly recommend reading through their full proposal here.

calling all those curious about and eager to discuss/debate the israeli-palestinian conflict!
if you have discord, you might be interested in In Favor of Coexistence, a server created to be a space for those who understand and want to explore what it means to coexist. in this server, we will discuss the ins and outs of the I/P conflict, its history, and its current state.
this server is strictly for those who are for a two-state solution, and who actually understand what that means. if you think one group of people should have to leave the region for there to be peace, this is not the place for you.
everyone is welcome here: jews, non-news, muslims, christians, israelis, palestinians, etc. happy pride!
(we’re also looking for mods, so if that sounds like something you’d be up for, shoot me a dm! and if you want to join, do so here.)

Re: “Ethnostates”
I think that what bothers me most about the current discourse regarding ethnostates — aside from the fact that it’s just blatant antisemitism and Islamophobia, which I might address in a separate post (but I wanna keep this one focused) is this:
Neither Israelis nor Palestinians are going anywhere, and they both deserve guarantees of safety and equality based specifically on their ethnicities. They need to both be assured, in a written constitutional document that they will both always have representation in government (ideally, equal representation), they will both be guaranteed protection from violence, expulsion, and segregation. They will have equal freedoms and access to resources.
And right now, the only way we know how to do that is with the dreaded nation-states. And, like, everyone railing against nation-states is currently living in one, because that’s the world we are living in.
Yeah, if we wanna talk open borders, I don’t know much about that. Maybe that’s an interesting concept or a very flawed one. I don’t know. But I do know that whatever solution Israel and Palestine will and must eventually find will be an experiment already. It will be dual state or a state that actively represents two historically oppressed groups who have been pitted against each other.
The government they create as a solution will be enough of an experiment already. Why is the world putting the pressure of an anarchist dreamland on them too? How about we let them solve this issue the best way they can and the way every other currently existing nation has solved their problems—by building a new, better nation to the best of their collective ability.
Why, all of a sudden, is this an unacceptable solution? Why do Israel and Palestine have to create your fantasy while trying to solve their own problems? It’s nonsense!

I love that the Book of Mestionora appears differently to Ferdinand and Rozemyne due to their personalities.
Specifically the search function. Like obviously Ferdinand would only open the Bible when he wanted to know something in specific, or to get an answer - so whenever he opens it, it opens in whatever he needs. He’s so practical. It also speaks of how he only got the pieces of the Bible that he wanted. Whatever information he doesn’t deem necessary gets thrown out. He just wants the answers.
Rozemyne, on the other hand, definitely needs the search function. She would read the entire Bible if she could. “Opening it in whatever part she needs” would be good in life or death situations, but if she had the leasure to use it at her own pace - why would she? She’d rather take her time and read. Besides, she wants to be a librarian. Isn’t it obvious for her to read the entire contents and THEN help search the answer?
