AITA for taking care of a person who needed my help?

i (22M) work at a supermarket, and one of my regular customers was obviously not doing well. they only bought terrible processed food that was bad for them, and they looked so sad and dirty. so, i took matters into my own hands and took them home.

it took a bit of time and work, and i had to do some things i wasn’t proud of, but now they’re doing so much better! they were so grateful to me that we ended up getting together!

but, their ex-girlfriend (23F) got nosey and found out how we got together. now she’s freaking out at me about how what i did was “kidnapping” and “illegal”. but, honestly, what does she know about what’s best for my sweetie? it was her cruelly breaking their heart that put them in the state i found them in in the first place. she has no right to tell me what’s best for them.

so, AITA?

As long as you’re not being a dick about it I don’t mind if you compare my characters to other characters. Oftentimes my characters borrow traits from places you’d never expect. Like the fact that Sakhar’s characterization is influenced by Mr. Nez//zer of all characters. Sometimes they’re crafted to fit specific archetypes. Every fighting game needs a guy with Polna//reff hair, after all.

Amrit was not originally based on FANG or AKI. I made him around a year before I even knew who FANG was. The toxic claws which I thought were cool and original for a human character (and I still think they’re a cool concept) were actually based off centipedes and their modified forelimbs. Who Amrit is basically just a fucked up and evil version of is Virgo Sha//ka fron Sai//nt Sei//ya.

Jordyn has a very bold and clear star shaped birthmark around the area of her neck and left shoulder. It’s unmistakably a star. I’ve never drawn her with it but it’s something she always has.

Sakhar has a bunny motif, but I honestly think of him as a hare rather than a rabbit. Particularly, the strange quality of his eyes. Don’t you think his angry eyes look just like when a hare’s tapetum lucidum is caught in the light?

Character who is a lot and I mean A LOT like Sakhar. It’s a complete coincidence but she’s as much like him as a protagonistic character on a lighthearted kid’s show could feasibly be.
