1908年に家具職人のカール・ハンセンがデンマークのオーデンセに小さな工房を設立してから、今年で110年を迎えます。

歴史的な困難や会社の危機を乗り越えて、110年の節目を迎えられたことに感謝し、創業月の10月に３つのアニバーサリー特別企画を実施いたします。

【Vol.1  WELCOME BACK ORIGINAL Y-CHAIR】

1949年にハンス J. ウェグナーがデザインした、CH24、通称Yチェアは発表当時のシートの高さが43cmでした。

当時のデンマークでは分析に基づくデザインが重視されていたことや、ウェグナー氏自身が小柄なデンマーク人の平均的な体型であったことが、この高さのデザインに影響したと想像できます。

その後、世界的にも人の体型が大きくなり、アメリカをはじめ海外の多くの国でも愛用されるようになったYチェアの座面高が 45cm に変更されたことは、デザイン思想に沿った自然な流れでした。

現在、日本では2016年より座面の高さを 45cm に統一し、以降 43cm の LOWサイズ は別注にて承っております。こ��度創業 110 年の特別企画として、期間限定で当時と同じ LOW サイズを追加料金なく、通常よりも短い納期でご購入頂ける機会を準備いたしました。

シートを編みます。ペーパーコードはオイルを浸透させている紙のより紐をさらに3本より合わせているものを使っています。以前は農作業で使っていたということで、丈夫。切断するときはペンチを使います。
