Valeria had never seen the ocean before moving here and even after a couple weeks, it was still...overwhelming. It was beautiful and vast and she couldn't believe she'd gone over thirty years without ever getting to witness it.

She had been just standing in the middle of the walkway, staring around at the sea, when she suddenly heard the sound of a dog snuffling around her and she snapped out of her thoughts, looking down at it and smiling as she held her hand out, allowing it to sniff her fingers before Val looked up, spotting a man nearby. "Yours?"

Sam was so happy the two of them had switched to Post-Halloween dinner debriefs following last year’s spectacular breakfast one. The only spectacular thing about it being the hangovers the two of them had the morning after Sugar’s party. It’d honestly been a miracle that the two of them had gotten out of bed, let alone how they managed to eat anything. This morning was no different. It took Sam about five tries to get out of bed and then shower, eating not much more than a bagel for breakfast until his stomach settled and he could eat a bigger lunch. He was at least glad to know from his roommates that he hadn’t puked at all. 

Still, it had been a slow start to his day, which he didn’t mind too much. He’d even had coffee, but was still not completely sure he wasn’t still drunk. He was waiting on his best friend now at one of the booths at Breadstix. He hadn’t ordered yet, but thankfully one of the waitresses had brought him some water, which he was currently sipping from. He glanced at his watch, surprised to see how early he’d gotten here. 

Drumming his fingers along the tabletop, he glanced toward the door and grinned when he saw Blaine enter. He waved him over and before he could greet him, the waitress was back and setting a plate of food in front of him. Sam opened his mouth to protest, he hadn’t even ordered yet, but the woman spoke up first. “It’s from that guy over there, he said it was for a White Chocolate?” Instantly, he stilled and was almost afraid of what he would find when he looked toward wherever she had pointed.

He wasn’t sure what he expected, but it definitely wasn’t seeing him. Sam somehow managed to turn even stiller, blinking slowly and then rubbing at his eyes as if it would make the man smirking at him disappear. Without taking his eyes off of him because maybe then he would disappear, he kicked Blaine under the table. “Blaine… I need you to turn around. Don’t! Don’t make it obvious!” He whisper-shouted, still not glancing away from the other. “But I need you to do it and I need to know if you see him too. That dude like… five booths down on the left.”

He really wasn’t sure if he wanted him to be real or not. Wasn’t sure if it was hope blooming in his chest or fear causing it to beat double time. It couldn’t be, could it? Then again, maybe the man was simply back visiting his family again. But why was he here? Why was he here and… Sam glanced down at the plate of food and swallowed before quickly looking back up at Clint. Why was he here and ordering his favorite Breadstix dish for him? 

He wondered if he could send it back? Was that rude? Hopefully not for the wait staff, if it was rude to Clint, good. But he didn’t want the dish to go to waste, especially when he’d already planned on ordering it when Blaine showed up. “Please tell me it’s just my imagination, this can’t be happening right now…”

clint going to AA is a headcanon, and technically my exploration of his alcoholism is as well... but i mean look at [ this tag with on panel evidence ] and see /yeah/ but this blog is all about clint getting functional and having a recovery arc, it's is important, it is what he deserves; and he will never have enough comic plotlines for me and this would be a good one if writers cared about clint and telling meaningful stories

OS THUNDERBOLTS !

Falei várias vezes, e finalmente aqui está, a mais nova equipe do Yaqub, aproveitando que o filme está logo aí ! Acho que já cheguei a comentar aqui pelo menos uma vez que eu estou ansiosa para assistir o filme dos Thunderbolts, porque ele genuinamente parece muito mais interessante do que 97% das coisas que o mcu tem feito ultimamente, e é claro, porque tem a Yelena e o Alexei, que são meus favoritos e parte dos únicos personagens que ainda importam pra mim no MCU (tirando eles tem só a Carol e a Kate basicamente). 

Então, é claro que eu tinha que fazer uma equipe inspirada neles, até porque eu gosto bastante da equipe dos quadrinhos ( não a de vilões, eu prefiro as que o Clint lidera ), e era uma ótima oportunidade de dar uma equipe e novos amigos pro Yaqub, e de ter ele trabalhado junto com a Jackie e a Scarlly :D

Enfim, eu pretendo usar o filme como inspiração, mas 95% das coisas vão ser criadas e pensadas por mim mesma. Meus planos eram escrever uma história com eles, para apresentar esse grupinho e como eles se juntaram, além de mostrar os dois personagens novos. Eu tenho todo um plot e muita vontade, e já to com essa equipe pronta há tempos, só esperando a história sair pra apresentar eles, mas infelizmente, não to tendo tempo pra me dedicar a isso no momento, então vai assim mesmo sauasuhasu

Eu ia fazer um blog só pra eles porque pretendo postar bastante sobre esses seis nos próximos dias, mas como parece que vocês preferem ver eles por aqui, é aqui que eles ficarão :D ( a Guarda é que vai ganhar uma casinha só pra eles 👀)

Eu tenho vários postinhos prontos e quero fazer contos menores mostrando as interações entre eles, porque eu realmente estou me divertindo muito pensando nessa pequena gangue junta, mas como eu disse, meu tempo entra no caminho, então pode ser que eu não consiga postar os contos tão rápido ou com a frequência que eu gostaria, mas vão sair (assim como os da Jackie e do Liam, estão demorando mas ainda vão ser postados).

Enquanto isso, vocês podem ir conhecendo a Andy e o Josh (que é o amigo do Yaqub que já foi mencionado aqui mais de uma vez) e descobrindo como eles se conheceram e como se juntaram ( e tudo o que fizeram depois disso ) através das asks !

Já tem as fichas deles na página dos Thunderbolts, que voces podem ver aqui. Acho que isso ajuda em alguma coisa :)

E por fim, essa formação é só o começo. Digamos que eles foram os “fundadores" dessa nova geração de Thunderbolts, meio que sem querer, e acabaram ficando juntos para algumas missões, e para dar suporte pra Andy. Mas outros membros virão com o tempo, até porque os membros fixos serão o Yaqub, o Josh e a Andy, já que os outros 3 já tem suas equipes principais. Já tenho vários candidatos em mente, incluindo o Elliot (porque ele representa a Ava, por exemplo), a Zanthe, e até o Dom e a Chess, que pode mudar pra essa equipe pra ficar mais perto da Scarlett, além de outros.

Vou considerar que eles já se conhecem há alguns meses e que já trabalharam/passaram tempo juntos, então já são um grupo estabelecido, até pra não atropelar o que anda acontecendo com a Jackie e o Liam e etc ( a Jackie pensou que fosse sair do foco, mas na verdade só ganhou mais dois idiotas pra pegar no pé dela. Essa é a vida dela agora ).

E acho que é isso. O post ficou enorme, maior do que eu esperava, mas espero que tudo tenha ficado claro ashuasuashusa Se vocês quiserem, posso postar um resuminho falando um pouco mais deles + como se juntaram, como fiz com a Nadya e com a história do Liam e da Jackie. Decidi fazer tudo pelas asks + posts aleatórios só pra ficar diferente, mas se vocês quiserem por favor, me digam que eu faço ! Posso fazer posts especiais sobre a Andy e o Josh também, mas de novo, me digam se querem !

Ps: uma das coisas que eu mais amo que aconteceram aqui, foi o desenvolvimento da Scarlly e do Sam, que começaram não gostando um do outro, e agora são inseparáveis. Onde um vai, o outro vai atrás, e é por isso que eles estão sempre nas mesmas equipes e esquadrões 💜💜

Ps2: Essa também é uma oportunidade perfeita pros pares deles se aproximarem e aparecerem mais. E também, Andy pode ser uma das candidatas a futuro par do Dominic 👀

Ps3: Jajá o Luka vai virar o líder oficial da Guarda, com a Jackie se metendo em um milhão de coisas ashuasusau (é só brincadeira, ela sempre vai ser a líder, mas ele vai ter que trabalhar mais também).

• Y en cambio en las noches heladas cuando podria hacer tanto frio que te congelarias, sueles dormir bien calidamente y aferrado a Thor, Clint o Natasha, Thor tiene un cuerpo musculoso por lo tanto su cuerpo se puede decir que da más calor y siempre duermes más aferrado a él, no te suelta en toda la noche, en cuanto a Clint y Natasha estos se pueden decir que no tienen cuerpos tan musculosos pero Clint emana una linda calides de su cuerpo y te abraza toda la noche besandote en la nuca y tus omoplatos, Natasha es casi igual que Clint, pero la linda alfa te mantiene acostado en su pecho y acaricia tu cuero cabelludo hasta dormir y hace masajes por todo tu cuerpo, duermes como un bebe y ni sientes la frialdad de la noche junto a ella.

• Tambien es muy utim mantenerte cerca a ti y a tu bonito olor cuando uno de los chicos esta pasando por un cansador heat, todo lo que tienen que hacer es pedirte a que vallas con ellos y pasaran una bonita tarde cuidandolos y no nesesariamente tiene que ser algo sexual, pasas el dia con ellos, acariandoles el cuerpo acalorado, dandoles de comer o incluso contandoles hacerca de tu dia.

• y para cuando tu entres en calor, tu seras el primero en recibir sus cuidados, practicamente pelearan por quien te ayudara más, te daran de su ropa manchada de su olor y solo si tu quieres te ayudaran a hacer tu nido para que tu omega interior este calmado, tambien te daran un baño caliente de burbujas para calmarte de tu dolor, restregaran tu espalda y con las burbujas le haran de crema para darte un masaje de hombros mientras bebes chocolate caliente o incluso una buena champaña que tenia Tony guardada.

• En un principio todos pensaron que realmente no seria nescesario que pelearas y solo sirvieras de consuelo pero despues de los sucesos de la era de ultron, tu fuiste el primero en querer pelear, desde ahi supieron que ya no tendrian de que preocuparse.

• Ya que no eres tan indefenso, se dieron cuenta, y das miedo, cuando uno de los tuyos resulta herido, tu eres el primero en actuar, pero no tanto en pelea, bueno, en pelea eres realmente bueno pero cuando realmente das miedo no es cuando peleas ni nada, es cuando practicamente haces nada, solo te quedas quieto y sueltas tu olor tan podrido que llega a preocupar a tus alfas, ahi las personas contra las que pelees sabran que estan realmente en problemas.

Examining the Use of Movie Posters in Dead Friend Forever, Episode 8

So, for the past few weeks I've been paying attention to the different movie posters in Non's room and we finally got a clear shot of the posters in Episode 8! A big thank you to @lukaherehelp, @slayerkitty, and @fiction-is-queer for helping me identify, track down, and discuss all the movie posters and their possible significance.

Before we jump in, I think there are some interesting trends that have come from the chosen movie posters that have been plastered on the walls. First, all the movies either have kids dying or kids involved in some capacity. Second, two of the posters were in Spanish (does this hint that New was in a Spanish-speaking country?). Third, several seem to be in the horror films. Fourth, most seem to take place out in nature (a la cabin in the woods.)

El Fuera de la Ley -> The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976)

Interestingly enough, Clint Eastwood's The Outlaw Josey Wales is the only legitimate poster that I have been able to find that Be On Cloud has chosen to use. I'm attributing this to mainly be due to American copyright laws.

For those that aren't familiar with U.S. copyright laws or just copyright laws in general, the law protects any tangible, intellectual property. Under the Copyright Act of 1976, as amended in 1978, any work that is made for hire, the copyright endures for a term of 95 years since its first publication. Movie posters do fall under this category. But this term of 95 years only took effect starting from January 1st, 1978, meaning that any work prior to this amendment was still controlled by the 1976 act. Under the 1976 act, the initial term of copyright was 28 years from the date of publication or registration. After the initial term, it could then be extended for 67 years for a total 95 years, but the copyright holder would need to actively extend the term. The Outlaw of Josey Wales came out in 1976, and assuming that the did not pursue copyright for the next 67 years, the copyright term would have ended in 2004. Meaning that Be On Cloud would be able to use the original movie poster without having to pay for the right of use.

Now onto the actual relevant portion of the plot. Josey Wales, a Missouri farmer, seeks revenge after his wife and son are murdered by pro-Union militants led by Captain Terri. Refusing to surrender to the Union, after the war, he ends up with a bounty on his head. Captain Terrill hunts down Wales and opens fire on him. Struggle ensues, Terrill draws out his sword and tries to kill Wales, but instead Wales take control and forces the blade through Terrill's chest and finally avenges his family. There is still a bounty for Wales, but locals cover him and tell the Rangers that came looking for him that he had already been killed. Ultimately, Wales has found his peace and rides off in the sunset, while you're left being unsure whether he survived or died of his wounds.

Now, I'm thinking this is where we're heading for the ending. After it's all said and done, I think this may play out in two different ways: either we'll never really truly find out whether Non made it out alive or we'll never know who the actual killer is. Either way, with the ending of The Hidden Character and coupled with the ending of this movie, I really think we're heading towards the direction where we're going to end up with a rather ambiguous ending. And if Non is confirmed dead, will it be Phee to be the last one standing after having avenged him? If Non's the writer and Phee is the killer, by Non's new storyboard and following Wales' story, he would.

La Madre: Love Never Dies -> Mamá : El Amor De Una Madre Es Para Siempre (2013)

‘Mama’ is a supernatural horror film that follows two young girls, Victoria and Lilly, who disappeared the of their parents' deaths but are later found abandoned in a forest cabin after 5 years have passed. They are taken in by their uncle Lucas and his girlfriend Annabel, but strange occurrences reveal the presence of a malevolent entity they call "Mama." As Annabel struggles to bond with the girls, Mama becomes increasingly possessive and dangerous, threatening their safety. Annabel offers Mama her lost child's remains to soothe Mama's anger but Lily's call interrupts, leading to Mama's return as she attempts to take the girls. Victoria chooses to stay with Annabel, and Mama and Lily fall off a cliff, before becoming spirits that turn into moths. At the end, you see one of the moths land on Victoria, likely showing the Lily would always be with Victoria.

Now at first glance, I thought this was just in reference to Non's tumultuous relationship with his mother, which I'll get to that in another meta, but the more I think about it seems like it parallels the corruption of innocence and the monstrosity found in humanity. In ‘Mama’, the corruption of innocence occurs not only to the children but actually to Mama herself. She becomes a malevolent entity after the loss of her child and becomes obsessed with the sisters in a twisted form of motherly love. Meanwhile, Non's life is irrevocably altered by the actions of the THC gang. They initiate the beginning of Non's life imploding on him. He's rendered a victim of relentless harassment and violence. The psychological and physical trauma that the THC gang put him through eventually breaks him and what little of his sanity that he had left. They destroyed him, intentionally. There’s no true remorse from any one of them, sans (maybe) Jin. Monsters do not always come in the shape of supernatural entities and the THC gang has proven that. They relentlessly tormented Non, manipulated and exploited him for their own gain, while showing little regard for the life that they, quite literally, traded in return for their own success. They may be haunted by te supernatural, hunted by a killer, but they were the first monsters.

"A ghost is an emotion bent out of shape, condemned to repeat itself, time and time again until it rights the wrong that was done." This quote comes directly from the movie and really sums up everything that the THC gang has been living and fearing. Non's movie is has come full circle, it's finally being performed the way he wrote it. There's no more hijacking of his film and changing the ending depending on who is skimming through the script. Instead, who ever is laying out these murders is fixing the changes made and following what Non wanted. And if he gets his way, nobody is going to survive this time around.

Considering the ending once more, it's going to be interesting if the DFF's ending parallels Mama's. If so, who is going to be the hypothetical sacrificial lamb? Will it be Phee? Tan? White? Or, has it been Non this whole time?

Whisper (2007)

Quite frankly, I'm not familiar with this movie at all, but I'm going to do a quick recap from what I could find online. In "Whisper," Max Truemont and his fiancée Roxanne seek a fresh start by opening a diner, but face financial obstacles. Max agrees to join his former partner Sydney in kidnapping 8-year-old David, son of a wealthy woman, for ransom. After the abduction, tensions rise among the group as suspicions emerge, exacerbated by David's ability to manipulate minds. It's revealed that David's mother is the mastermind behind the plot, claiming David is a demon with mind control powers. She urges Max to kill David, but she dies by her own hand when he refuses. Max ultimately kills David, unintentionally causing Roxanne's death in the process.

I think the obvious parallel here is the kidnapping that occurs. Yet, in 'Whisper', trust and betrayal are central to the plot where Max places his trust in Sydney only to betrayed when loyalties are questioned. Meanwhile, Non gets dragged into the movie by Jin, the one who places himself to be the friendliest of the group and is the only one that seems to want to have Non around. Out of everyone, Jin appears to be the closest to Non. Hell, in the present Tee even states that if Non were to visit anyone after disappearing for so long, it would be Jin. But we know that's not true, arguably the biggest betrayal comes from Jin. First, he films him getting sexually assaulted. Second, he lets Non get kidnapped by Tee and Top. Thirdly, he completely lies to the police officer about not knowing what happened to Non and actively frames Non as a promiscuous kid that ran away with his teacher. Jin was actively a bystander to Non's torment. Both narratives highlight the fragility of trust and the consequences of betrayal.

With that, ‘Whisper’ also revolves around the consequences of Max's actions. Max's decision to participate in the kidnapping of David set off a chain of events that screws up his whole life, quite literally causing the death of his fiancée. Here, Non's choice to continuously get involved with the THC gang really was the beginning of an end for him. Same with the decision to repay Por with the mafia's horse accounts... his choice to fix a problem with another problem shaped what little future he had.

Rivarium -> Vivarium (2019)

Again, this is another movie that I had to research. In "Vivarium," the concept of brood parasitism is starkly depicted through the introduction of a cuckoo bird. Gemma and Tom, a young couple, become trapped in a surreal suburban neighborhood called "Yonder" after being led there by a mysterious real estate agent. As they struggle to escape, they discover they are part of an experiment conducted by an otherworldly entity, with a strange child named "The Boy" at the center. Ultimately, the film concludes with The Boy assuming the identity of the dying real estate agent Martin, perpetuating the cycle of captivity and manipulation.

‘Vivarium’ explores the theme of cycles and repetition, as Gemma and Tom find themselves trapped in a seemingly endless loop of confinement and captivity. Despite their repeated attempts to escape, they always return to the same house, number 9, mirroring the cyclical nature of brood parasitism found in nature. Non finds himself in the vicious cycle of abuse and retaliation, where every time that he tries to fix one problem, he gets in another. No matter what he tries to do to dig himself up from his hole, it only leads to further escalation and harm to himself. @lukaherehelp and @fiction-is-queer made good points that in this case, Non is the 'bird' that the 'cuckoos', the THC gang, used for their own benefit. And now that Non is gone, the loop restarts, only now it’s Phee and Tan’s turn to infiltrate the group that has caused Non’s ruin.

The Devil (2010)

Now, this is the only movie poster that is not found in Non's room, but is actually located in Jin's.

‘The Devil’ revolves around five strangers that become trapped in an elevator. As they struggle to escape, it becomes apparent that one among them is the Devil incarnate, manipulating events and tormenting the others with a series of disturbing manifestations. Meanwhile, outside the elevator, a detective investigates the strange occurrences, gradually piecing together the connection between the trapped individuals and the sinister presence haunting the building. As the situation inside the elevator becomes increasingly dire, the characters are forced to confront their darkest secrets and sins, each suspecting the others of being the Devil in disguise. Once they deny their sins, the devil is able to claim their soul. The Devil is unable to claim the last survivor's soul, because Tony confesses and repents for having killed a family in a car accident and fleeing the scene.

This one I find to be incredibly interesting, because I can't help but wonder if this is foreshadowing Jin's journey. To gain forgiveness, you first have to admit your faults. Jin has to first acknowledge the harm he has caused Non, since he constantly postures himself to be the 'nice guy'. Now the question is will he continue to be a coward and deny that he had any part in Non's disappearance, in Non's mental break down, or will he 'confess his sins' and face the consequences of the reality that he helped create?

Final Thoughts

If you read all the way through this... first off, thank you, because this might just be my longest meta.

I might just be reading way too into this show and maybe they just needed movie posters to demonstrate Non's interest in filmmaking, but Be On Cloud is known for paying attention to their minor details. Plus if Non's t-shirts can speak, why not his movie posters? Especially when they gave us such a clean shot of the foreground in today's episode.

Everything beyond The Outlaw Josey Wiles is pure speculation, since there's no exact movie poster that I could find. It’s going to be interesting to see if DFF's ending mirrors any of the endings in the referenced movies.

Clint Eastwood y Sondra Locke.

‘İki Amerika’nın bir filmi

Benim yaşım sinemada kovboy filmlerini izlemeye yetmedi. Tommiks gibi çizgi romanlara da sonradan bakabildik. Fakat pazar günleri TRT-1 ekranına gelen Vahşi Batı klasikleri, çocukluğumun anılarındandır. Özellikle kışları… Küçük bir odada yanan sobanın üzerinde kızaran ekmekler, tereyağı kokuları, ballı ılık süt, televizyondan yankılanan Apaçi çığlıkları, at kişnemeleri, altıpatlarların çıkardığı kurşun vızıltıları… Ülkemizin efeleri, seymenleri sinemaya maalesef çok fazla aktarılmadı. Atçalı Kel Mehmet, Çakırcalı Mehmet Efe gibi efelerin hayatı beyazperdeye uyarlansa da, bugün bu değerlere dönülüp bakılmıyor. Fakat Batı’nın efesi diyebileceğimiz kovboylar, ABD’nin en önemli ihraç malzemelerinden oldu. Bugün bile hâlâ çok hasılat yapan kovboy filmleri çekiliyor.

DOĞU-BATI DÜELLOSU: LEONE-KURUSAWA

Aslında bugün en çok bilinen Kovboy filmleri, ABD ve Hollywood imzası taşımaz. Avrupa kökenlidir. Birçoğunda İtalyan yönetmenlerin imzası vardır. Bu yüzden genelde, “Spagetti Western” olarak bilinirler. Bu, bir tür haline gelmiştir. 600’den fazla “Spagetti Western” filmi arasında “İyi, Kötü, Çirkin”, “Batı’da Kan Var”, “Birkaç Dolar İçin”, “Benim Adım Hiçkimse” gibi gişede fırtına estirenler de çıkmıştır. Spagetti Western aslında Doğu sinemasından kopya edilerek meydana getirilmiştir. Sergio Leone'nin yönettiği ve başrolünde ilk kez Clint Eastwood'un yer aldığı “Bir Avuç Dolar” (Per un pugno di dollari-A Fistful of Dollars) filmi, Akira Kurusawa’nin Yojimbo (1961) filminden birebir kopya idi. Kurusawa, Leone’ye dava açtı, kazandı. Filmden elden edilen gelirin yüzde 15’i Kurusawa’ya gitti. YİNE KURUSAWA’DAN ETKİLENDİLER

Kovboylar, Batı’nın vahşi dünyasında halkın yardımına koşan Robin Hood’lar gibilerdi. Efesoylulardandır. Cesur ve merttirler. Evet banka soyarlar, para için her işi yaparlardı. Onlar ödül avcılarıydı. Fakat fakir halkın koruyucusuydular. Canlarını darda olan halk için tehlikeye atarlardı. Bunu şundan yazıyorum. 2016 yapımı Muhteşem Yedili, (The Magnificent Seven) filmini izledim. Film aslında bugünün kendi iç çatışmasını yaşayan ABD’nin bir tablosunu sunuyor. ABD’de günümüzün tablosu şu: Okyanusötesi emperyalist tekellere karşı, önce kendi insanımız diyenlerin (First America) mücadelesi var. Film, işte bu çatışma üzerinden de okunabilir. Aslında bu filmin tarihçesi de Doğu’ya dayanıyor. Yine bir Kurusawa etkisi görüyoruz. Film, Kurusawa’nin 1954 yapımı Yedi Samuray (Shichinin no Samurai) filminden esinlenme. İlk olarak 1960 tarihinde Western olarak çekildi. 2016 yapımı olan, bunun bir yeniden çevrimidir.

‘YANGINDA KAYBETTİKLERİMİZİ KÜLLERDE BULDUK’ Film, Rose Creek kasabasında geçer. Sanayici ve iş insanı Bartholomew Bogue, maden alanlarını giderek genişletmektedir. Çiftçilikle geçinen halkın elinden arazisini ucuza kapatarak adeta el koymaktadır. Buna karşı çıkanlar ise katliama uğrarlar. Bogue’un insana bakışı tekelci sermayenin insanı köleleştirici tavrına örnektir: “Eğer Tanrı onların kırkılmasını istemeseydi, onları koyun yapmazdı.” Bogue’un kocasını öldürmesi sonrası intikam yemini eden Emma Cullen, neyi var neyi yoksa kovboy ekibi toplamak için verir. Sam Chisolm önderliğinde muhteşem silahşörlerden oluşan yedili bir araya getirilir. Chisolm, kimlerle savaştıklarını ve sonucunun ne olacağını şöyle özetler: “Kötü adamlarla savaşmaya gidiyoruz, muhtemelen hepimiz öleceğiz.” Yani insan adına kendilerini feda etmektedirler. Muhteşemdi.” Muhteşem Yedili, bu konuda da 300 Spartalı benzeri bir etki veriyor. Chisolm’un “Yangında kaybettiklerimizi küllerde bulduk.” sözü daha bir anlamlı hale geliyor.

‘ŞAHİN’ HARRIS Mİ HEARTLANDCI TRUMP MI?

ABD’de seçim yaklaştı. Pusulalar üzerinde Demokratlar ve Cumhuriyetler, onları temsilen de Kamala Harris ve Donald Trump yarışacak. Aslında bu aynı zamanda ABD’deki iki siyasi çizginin çekişmesi de. Harris, yarıştan çekilen/çektirilen Biden’ın yerini aldı. Esas olarak okyanus ötesi tekellerin adayı konumunda. Dolar saltanatını sürdürme derdinde olan, bunun için küresel çatışmaları kışkırtacak şahin kanadın temsilcisi. Kıyı bölgeleri, Demokratların bölgesidir. Demokratlar tarafından Biden lehine ve Trump'a karşı seçim kampanyasında yer alan BLM, LGBT+, feminizm ve solcu aşırılığın (antifa terörist grupları) en aktif protestolarının odaklandığı yer buralardır. ABD ekonomik olarak da geriliyor. 1980’de 880 milyar dolar olan ABD’nin millî borcu, 2019 yılında 22,7 trilyon dolara yükseldi. 14 Temmuz 2021’de bu borç, 28,5 trilyon dolar.(3) Bunun yanı sıra ABD tahvil piyasalarının toplam büyüklüğü 42,7 trilyon dolar. 42,9 trilyon dolarlık hisselerin rehin verilmesi yoluyla borçlanıldığını da hesaba katarsak toplam 85,6 trilyon dolarlık bir borç büyüklüğüne ulaşıyoruz. Bu sayılar, ABD’nin GSYH’sinin 4 katı kadar bir borç batağı içinde olduğunu gösteriyor.(4) ABD’de 38 milyon insan gıda yardımıyla yaşıyor. On milyonlar işsizlik parasıyla geçinmeye çalışıyor. Sağlık hizmetinden yararlanamayanlar büyük çoğunluk. Bir tek hastalanmama umutları var.(5) İşte bu ekonomik tabloda küreselci, liberal, tek kutuplu, Atlantikçi güçlerle “First America” diyenler arasında çatışma büyüyor. İç savaşın işaretleri görülmeye başladı bile. Hatta Hollywood’a İç Savaş (Civil War) anlatan, Trump’a “Geri adım at” mesajları veren film bile yapıldı. Seçimler öncesi silahlar çekilmiş durumda. Bir önceki seçim sonrası yaşanan Kongre Baskını, yakın zamanda Trump’a yapılan suikast, artık silahın kınından çıktığını gösteriyor. Tarihin cilvesi gibi: Amerika hep küçümsediği “çatışmaların eksik olmadığı Orta Doğu’ya” benziyor. Spagetti Western’ler yeniden piyasada. Ama bu kez beyazperdede değil, seçim meydanlarında. Tabiî bu iki seçenekten farklı olarak emekçi güçler de kendini göstermeye başladı: Redneckler. ABD halkının çözüm arayışları, derinleşerek sürecek. Hesaplaşma kaçınılmaz. O vicdanlı, mert, cesur kovboyların tarihe çıkış sahnesini yeniden görebilecek miyiz? İzleyeceğiz.

Nota: El 31 de mayo del 2024, cumple 94 años el gran Clint Eastwood y desde Hermeneuta lo queremos felicitar recordando una de nuestras escenas favoritas de “Los puentes de Madison”, película que él mismo dirigió y que supuso una ruptura con sus habituales papeles de hombre de acción. Se basó para hacerla en la novela homónima de Robert James Waller, en donde contaba la historia de Francesca, una solitaria ama de casa, y su romance con el fotógrafo Robert Kincaid. De este modo, Clint –como director y actor- logró construir junto a la fantástica Meryl Streep una película que, si bien no recibió demasiados premios, logró conquistar tanto a crítica como a público hasta ser una de las más reconocidas de su filmografía. ¡Felicidades, Clint! ¡Gracias por tantos títulos magníficos!

Other plots:

enemies to lovers, our characters hate each other and have frequent hate sex as an unhealthy coping mechanism to serve as a distraction. they are in deep denial about their feelings and keep the arrangement strictly physical, until they can’t any longer.
