Did another art trade with the wonderful @kiimonoda aka. @zimeatzwafflez! - Here, her OC Invader Mar and Dib are busy repairing Tak's ship... Well, *Mar* is busy repairing it; Dib would rather yammer on about paranormal stuff while Mar does all the work. He thinks he's impressing her with his vast wealth of knowledge. - He's really not. - I was a little nervous about drawing Tak's ship because I suuuuuck at drawing tech, Irken or otherwise, but it went surprisingly well. What *did* trip me up? Drawing a FUCKING step stool 😵 Talk about frustrating me to tears, I could NOT make it work at the angle I wanted to save my life, so I finally said "hell with it" and drew some stacked boxes instead 😅 - Someday though... I *will* have my revenge on every last stinking, miserable step stool on the face of the planet... - A big thanks again to @zimeatzwafflez 💖 I asked her to draw a scene from my Wonderland AU (the part where Dib meets the Cheshire Cat aka. What human eyes perceive as darkness is actually where light isn’t. The light crowds out all the dark, shoves it into the back to cower and brings shape and color into being. Tord had told him that, once, a long time ago. Matt has never forgotten it, mostly because that’s how the shorter man made him feel. Like all the dark bits were being shoved out of the way for something bright and magnificent and great. Tord would shout and grin and get in his personal space and Matt coveted all of those little moments between them, yearning but having learnt to take what he could get. Tord was too smart for him, anyway.

Tom tends to get destructive and depressed around Christmas time. While his boyfriends never really minded the property damage or fires, they do hate to see him get so bitter over something they can't fix. So they try to make it up to him in the most cheesy way possible. It was Matt's idea.

Laying on on the floor was fun, even if you’ve been lying in the same spot for an hour. Or maybe two? Who knows. It’s hard to tell time when your face is balls-deep in shaggy apartment carpeting. Tord honestly hadn’t planned to be face down on the floor all day, but sometimes these things just happen. You may just suddenly give up on yourself and life and decide to spend some quality time with the floor. The carpet was kind of soft, like, hand-me-down thrift store soft, but breathing in dust-mites was not pleasant. Either way, the floor adventures continued.
