Now, Captain hears some noise while working which he later guesses to be Morse code. Patrick drums because he’s bored, Morse code flirting ensures, neither knows who they’re actually talking to.

The Captain goes about it highly logically where he’s calculating and eavesdropping on his coworkers. Patrick just casually asks around to find out who also knows Morse code.

… they find out (accidentally) at the same time at a party. Because, really, “who doesn’t know Morse code??”

Right! Here we go. Ghosts Finale Positivity Post as I rewatch.

- Robin being an excited little kid for Christmas is the cutest thing, even if it's Halloween.

- Alison's face when she's showing the ghosts Mia before she has to put the mask on. Also the fact one of her first priorities after giving birth was for Mike to call them and reassure her they're OK.

- "Since Alison come, it been my favorite time of year." I love you Robin, I love you, I love you.

- Nana Fanny is surprisingly sweet? I never imagined her being that maternal before, she never spoke of her children.

- "Robin want more." 🥺 HE IS SO BABY.

- "Think of the child, Alison!" Thomas just kills it with that line. 😂

- Julian caring about putting Robin in the Christmas mood. Chess Husbands are the Joey and Chandler of this show for me.

- Mike was fully about to reveal the truth to Betty but his wife said Gaslight Gatekeep Girlboss. It's just so on point for them.

- "She doesn't want to see Fanny on camera." Has someone compiled all these jokes yet?

- Alison's little thumbs up to Julian, they are just chaos buddies.

- Mike being a terrible liar is hilarious.

- Mike warning the ghosts to leave! Like he has no real connection to these guys except through Alison but doesn't want any of them in danger. 🥺

- "Betty's bought the pastor!" "Pasta? That not very Christmassy." Robin I swear to god.

- That close in shot of Julian is the funniest scene in the episode. Also Robin "I think we should go-" chess husbands stick together.

- Kitty remembering Humphrey! She's always seemed to be the one who is most concerned for him. <3

- This. Just this.

- Thomas, normally the most self-obsessed git, being the one to jump into the line of fire to rescue Humphrey is also <3 <3

- This expression on Alison broke my heart and had me going "babygirl oh babygirl!" at my TV.

- But then.... 😁🥰😁

- CHESS HUSBANDS SHOULDER TOUCH

- As chaotic as the scene is, Kitty wanting to sing Mia a lullaby is cute and shows she's trying to move past her jealousy...I think.

- Fanny calling Alison her daughter. I'm not OK.

- This had me howling. 😂

- Mike saying "thanks guys." There's as many Mike / ghosts moments as Alison ones here.

- Julian being so happy Robin feels Christmassy!

- This could be an oil painting. My girl. 😭

- Best use of a song and lyrics timed with what's happening.

- THE PORTRAITS! Such a tiny detail but tells you Alison had her input into how the hotel was set up. She made it for her and Mike but she left it for THEM!

- The last we hear from Alison is her laughter. All these years. All these years and they are loving and LAUGHING together.

- Plague Ghosts always had to be the ones to bow us out. Again, while she wasn't super close to them, I like to think Alison suggested the pit as a good place for the spa, for them. 🥰

.....Okay that was a little better on second viewing ngl.

(For anyone wondering why I don't mention any of the PatCap moments, sorry I'm just not a big fan of baby scenes and babytalk etc.)

I will always be sad that Capulian never really became a thing. Look at them!

I think Julian *would* and Cap could be persuaded. Broad shouldered and tall is his type. PatCap, charming as it is, just doesn’t make sense to me.

(Throwing out all my unpopular opinions now, before the fandom dies or I have to get off social media to avoid spoilers😄.)

Wonderful character, very relatable, his fascinations over army things and tanks, his grand fool proof military strategies, his cock-soc, the way he does simple little things like his run and his bounces are so endearing. He's been on my mind all year round. Love him always.

2. Pat Butcher - BBC Ghosts

Can't be without my lovely darling Pat Butcher. So sweet, so lovely, so full of surprises. Loved him more when series 5 came out and he was a sassy guy who loves to dance. I'll love him forever.

3. Ken - Barbie Movie

I was not expecting to come out of that movie liking Ken. In fact, he was the reason I had a massive Ryan Gosling phase. His character here is Literally Me.

4. Julian Fawcett - BBC Ghosts

Nothing really inspiring about this one. I just really like his character a lot and think about his silly behaviour several times a day.

5. Stede Bonnet - Our flag means death

Silly guy. I can hear his voice right now. His Stede Bonnet New Zealand accent is all I hear now. He stole a vegetation! He's a pirate!

6. Blackbeard - Our flag means death

Hehehe it's Blackbeard. He's so cute, so fierce, so cool. Carries 9 guns!!!

7. Fanny Button - BBC Ghosts

Fanny is the character who is so good. So outrageous. So quotable. Literally me in many ways.

He was pretty cool in this movie. The movie was wonderfully made. He's literally me.

9. KD6-3.7 - Blade Runner 2047

Probs wouldn't have gone down the Ryan Gosling obsession phase if vegan rob wasn't so obsessed with Ryan Gosling too. I like K here, he's pretty cool. Literally Me.

I have things to say about the captain this series but I doubt I’ll find the words to say them. Basically, I’m very emotional and it’s not about the death, nor the havers stuff. It’s personal so I’ll leave it there.

All I want to say at the moment is a big thank you to Ben Willbond for maintaining the character he created.

Cap’s character has been written with respect, with care and consideration, but he’s also been given the opportunity to be fun, flamboyant, and silly.

I mean. @patcaps isn’t happy with the name choice, but even so, thank you Mr Willbond.

I just thought of something for all the patcap shippers ( I, personally, don’t agree)

In the s3 Christmas special (He Came), at the very end, Pat asks the question “One of us in this room has a third nipple, a) who is it? And b) where is it?” Because Pat is more of a modern ghost, he could have only seen Julian alive in the house, meaning he couldn’t have known about the others. Also, as soon as Pat asks it, the Captain wakes from his nap. He then tries to stop any answers for the question along with Lady Button who thought of it as a disgusting questions. What if Cap had something to hide?(other than the obvious thing) If so, how did Pat know? 😏😏😏
