Later today seems to be a major Patch being released, and we don't know yet how much impact it will have.

Depending on how many Mods are going to break, it can take a little until all Mods are updated or confirmed compatible.

I recommend to prepare yourself for the patch: You should either remove all Mods and play a Mod free Savegame, or you should disable auto patching for your Game (EA App > Settings > Downloads > and switch off automatic game updates) until all your must have Mods are updated/confirmed to be ok.

a lot of you got a kick out of my service dog’s battle jacket, so i thought i’d share some more pictures of the man himself.

i know people have a lot of stereotypes about what service dogs and their handlers are “supposed” to look like, and it confuses people to see a young, seemingly able bodied punk rocker with a service dog.

but i share this to say, that if you as a disabled person don’t see a life for yourself, you can create one. when i started to realize i was disabled almost 10 years ago, i certainly didn’t imagine this is where i’d be now. in fact, i didn’t even plan to making it to this point.

but a diagnosis doesn’t have to mean the end of the world. sometimes your world is just beginning. some people are of the belief that everything happens for a reason. me, not so much. i’ll never be grateful for the suffering i experienced in this world, but i will always, always be glad i chose to stay in it.

All patches are mine except the big skull, which was from a local shop! Most of the pins are diy using bottle caps + safety pins, some mine and a couple from a friend. The jacket itself is reworked from a french military jacket and an old hoodie, the hood detaches w snaps and the sleeves attach with safety pins through eyelets I punched into the jacket sleeves.

The Bluebonnet

The Bluebonnet is the Texas State flower, known for only growing naturally in Texas and no other location in the world. Funnily enough, there are 5 classified species of Bluebonnets.

These are photos I took of some rare Bluebonnet variants in the wild, which I found this Spring! The White or Albino Bluebonnet and the Light Bluebonnet, respectfully. (The last picture has some extremely dark colored bluebonnets). Finding different color variants of this one flower is so fun! The Bluebonnet is one of my favorite wildflowers :>

HISTORY//

History (Pre-DT): Sohna Yoani is the only child born to her parents Dawa and Shima, and was born and raised in Hhusatahwi, Shaaloani. Her father Dawa was killed when she was only five years old in a bandit attack, so Sohna was raised by her widowed mother Shima ever since. A few years prior to 7.0, Shima became disabled and has trouble with mobility and taking care of herself, so Sohna became her caretaker without a second thought. The mother and daughter duo moved to Tuliyollal soon afterwards in order to have more resources readily available and accessible to them. During the events of 7.0, Sohna almost died in the first attack on Tuliyollal and her mother Shima was killed, leaving Sohna with immense grief and an overwhelming need to avenge her mother and everyone else who was injured or killed in the attack.

Poultry is my beloved, stressed, constantly struggling, perfectionist girlgenius chicken! <3 ohh where do I start with her ... she's the only human in Spina Venatores, a girl who figured out how to mix mankind's logic and the arcane. her role in Spinas

she's the little girl mentioned in Darley Clatter's in-game Stories! Lilian! at least until bluepoch releases a Darley Clatter anecdote where they show the actual Lilian lmfao

they don't explicitly state that Lilian is a human afaik, but since her father is hiring an arcanist to get her the best horse in the world, I interpreted it as how humans will hire arcanists for frivolities like this

either way, Poultry is that little girl; spoiled, bratty, precocious, too smart and observant for her age, eager to have adventures and have everything she asked for. she was so enamoured with her childhood friend Darley Clatter and arcanum as a whole that she asked her parents to make her into an arcanist despite being a pureblooded human--when she found out this is Literally Impossible, it sort of ruined her friendship with Darley Clatter due to resentment and jealousy, and she put all of her time and efforts into finding a way to BECOME an arcanist, to mix both humanity and arcanists into one, instead of having humans recreate arcane skills with machines and whatnot

and she ACTUALLY succeeded, she figured out the differences between human and arcanist physiology through experimenting with arcane creatures and critters, and then regular animals with arcamun similar to Pickles and whatnot--horrible horrible stuff going on, stuff that leads sometimes into creating homunculus and chimeras and things that should not be alive! which got her kicked out of her university!

now. I'm fully aware that, as far as we know in canon, it's impossible for pureblooded humans to become infected or to make use of arcanum the same way arcanists do--one needs the smallest amount of arcanist heritage, no matter how diluted through the ages, for that to happen (like Semmelweis). it's all biology and physiology and science stuff. so for Poultry, her theoretical process of becoming arcanist involved a lot of. well. forcing her body to naturally adapt to arcanist cells and produce them. which could only happen through unethical self experimentation, something she could only get in Manus Vindictae

Venison recruits her on a whim, convinces the higher ups that her knowledge and experiments could be weaponized against mankind, and in turn, they give her the resources needed to go through her dream of becoming an arcanist. and these resources are Spina Venatores! because everyone there has specific arcanums related to the human body--flesh, blood, bones, etc! and it fucking works! frankenstein's monster! her body can NOW slowly adapt to arcanum!

the DOWNSIDE is that the constant exposure to arcane creatures guts and blood of all sorts (one of Spina Venatores' jobs is to hunt down mythical beasts, aside from hunting down important targets) actually caused Poultry to become infected with the Beyond Disease--the Manus Mask she wears was explicitly given to her by the higher ups to fuel her extremely weak arcanum into something actually useful (think of Enigma's explanation about low tier vs high tier arcanists and batteries). but ALSO to slow down the Beyond Disease, because Manus is invested in seeing if they can genuinely turn a human into an arcanist with the intent of creating more cannon fodder to turn into Disciples and Followers (yknow, the monsters arcanists turn into when they wear the masks)

so unbeknownst to Poultry, she's become an experiment within Manus Vindictae!! and shes probably going to die very soon!!

a fun fact is that her arcanum is both related and powered by delusion and belief, becoming stronger the longer she believes herself to be arcanist like any other, but also hinting towards the Beyond creature that infected her being a fairy of sorts.

Another follow up to the chimera thing

I think Patch (the one in Ravenpaw’s novella) would definitely be a chimera. He’s a tortie tom, that’s the same with Sol. Any other cats with odd colors like gray on black or ginger on blue etc in warriors could be chimeras!

My favorite example is Sol to be honest haha.

I remember vaguely of there being another cat with odd markings, I mean colors on other colors as mentioned before that don’t usually happen. Im not exactly sure who I’m thinking of but there’s definitely a cat with on markings. I think it was ginger with gray patches but was that just Patch? I’m not too sure

Antpelt or fur can’t really remember either, the one who trained in the dark forest anyway could be a chimera too. I’m pretty sure he was described as black with a brown belly. Same with Spiderleg.

There’s also Sandygorse and that one SkyClan cat that had the orange/ginger legs on an either cream or brown cat. I think it might’ve been Sandynose? But I’m not quite sure.

Also you don’t have to agree with me at all, I’m just stating my opinions based on what I’ve seen, read, and believe. You’re totally okay to disagree and believe whatever you want!

HISTORY//

Yume was born the eldest daughter of a Daimyo (a feudal lord who ruled over a territory in Hingashi), Lord Masanori Aino, and she was his heir apparent. Yume was raised from birth to become the ideal samurai, who would be able to beat any opponent in battle, and to one day succeed her father as daimyo. She excelled in all her studies and was driven to be the best on the battlefield, yet she always felt like something was missing from her life.

As she got older, she travelled often to Kugane, the famed port city where merchants from all walks of life congregated. Yume was exposed to people with vastly different cultures and traditions from the ones she knew. She was fascinated with the travelers from distant lands that she had never seen before, especially the Eorzeans. Yet she would always do her duty and aspired to live up to her father’s expectations.

When she came of age, Lord Aino began the search for his beloved daughter’s suitor, and he had narrowed down his criteria to a very short but nigh impossible list: 1) Must be a son of a prominent noble family, 2) Must be able to sire children, and 3) He must be Yume’s equal in battle, as determined by a 1v1 duel with Yume herself. The first two criteria were the easy part. Many clans were interested in marrying their son to the daughter of Lord Aino, but Lord Aino looked for perfection, and no man around her age was good enough for his daughter. This is because every would be suitor who dueled Yume for a chance to win her hand in marriage was defeated. There were none that proved worthy of her.

Yume pleaded with her father to allow her to decide for herself who she wants to marry in her own time, but her father forbade her from ever speaking of it again, for she would shame him and bring dishonor to the family name. Soon after Yume’s 18th nameday, her father announced her betrothal to Lord Nobu Aino, her own uncle. Nobu had lost his wife due to illness, and he never fathered children with her. To ensure that Nobu will have children of his own, he wished to wed a young woman with many years ahead of her so that she can give him many children. Yume was appalled; it was commonplace centuries ago for uncles and nieces to marry in Hingashi, but it is a dying tradition that only a few remaining noble families participate in, as most of Hingashi frowns upon it in modern times.

Yume soon felt trapped in the station in life that she was born into. Her family never sought her approval of her uncle as her suitor, nor was there any room for her to decline the betrothal. Though she wished for nothing more than to become a samurai, she did not want to be forced into a marriage with her own uncle, nor to be bound to a fate that she never decided for herself. This led to the biggest decision she ever made: she confronted her father and outright refused to marry Nobu no matter what.

Her father answered her by saying that she has dishonored him and the family, but Yume responded that he has shamed her and she cannot live like this anymore. Lord Aino ended the confrontation by telling her that if she cannot live with the shame, then she must commit Seppuku, or ritualistic suicide.

The next day, the ceremony has commenced, and Yume is fully prepared to take her own life. But just as she began to slit her belly open, her father stops her and tells her that she does not have to die but must live in shame. Lord Aino’s change of heart allows Yume to survive the attempted seppuku, but the damage to her organs was so extensive that her reproductive organs had to be removed, so Yume can never have biological children. Soon after she recovers from her wounds, the family disowns her, she is stripped of all her power and titles, and she must leave her father’s lands, never to return. Yume agrees to this, and she never sees her family again.

After she has fully recovered and left her father’s lands behind, Yume is now known as a disgraced ronin, a samurai without a master. To survive, she makes a name for herself as a mercenary and assassin in Kugane for five years, and was known as the “Wandering Flame”, which derives from her clan living on a dormant volcano, the “flame” part, and “wandering” for her being a ronin.

One fateful day, after hearing the voice of Hydaelyn calling to her day after day to go to Eorzea, Yume decides that since there really is nothing left for her in Hingashi, she leaves her homeland behind for Eorzea, a land that she has always dreamed of seeing, and soon becomes a Scion of the Seventh Dawn and is known as a “Warrior of Light”.

Drinks: Only drinks wine and certain kinds of cocktails, and she is overall very responsible with her alcohol consumption. She will never drink on the eve of battle, nor ever indulge at times when she needs her mind to be clear and focused.

Mount Issuance: Yume was never given a chocobo, as she flat out refuses one. She does not like the chocobos because of their smell, and still usually calls them “horse birds” out of habit from growing up in Hingashi. She rode a motorcycle built by Cid for a few years (from ARR until ShB) until she is gifted an amaro named Nightmare by the Crystal Exarch.

Been Arrested: Was technically going to be arrested for Regicide during the events of the Bloody Banquet, but Yume escapes Ul’dah along with her fellow Warriors of Light.

CURRENT STATUS//

As of patches 7.0-7.2, Yume will begin by wandering Tural with Zenos as they hunt down Tural Vidraal, with Yume’s newly self-trained skills as a Black Mage. Yume and Zenos did not assist in the Rite of Succession for any candidate. However, they helped in the defense of Tuliyollal both times that the city is attacked, and they fought in the battle with Queen Eternal alongside Hali and the other WoLs. Following their victory, Yume and Zenos have remained in Tural for a while before they eventually head back to their home in Shirogane.

NOTE: Yume's story follows all of the major events of the MSQ as she is a Warrior of Light. The only major canon diversion is that in her canonverse, there are multiple Warriors of Light (notably my main OC Hali Aloke @starrysnowdrop and my friends’ OCs) and Yume’s ancient self is NOT Azem. Yume won’t always be the main focus of certain MSQ events either, as my main WoL is Hali. Feel free to ask me for any specifics in this regard.

On the topic I was meaning to address: It concerns Cartethyia and Fleurdelys. It's known that Cartethyia split herself so that if she were to lose herself to Leviathan, only part of her would and the other would be able to find a solution to it. This caused two things:

☥ The memories of one fading away with her experiences in combat along with it, thus remaining in a stasis that prevented her to continue ageing up for the following 20 years. This in combination with the seclusion and heavy limitations of moving about however she wanted. A key aspect of her is that this is the side of her that wanted to live. ☥ While the other kept all her life experiences and continued her crusade against the Dark Tide and ultimately against Leviathan without the knowledge that Threnodians won't die so long as human civilizations continue to exist. Furthermore, she continued to grow as the years naturally passed.

Fundamentally, both of them had different experiences in the following 20 years that arguably shaped her as different individuals (and as a good KH enjoyed, this could perfectly make them different individuals), but the story doesn't treat them like that, which I'm fine with it. Cartethyia had the chance to get rid of the memories and potentially make Fleurdelys fade away with it and she didn't, which further solidifies that they are both one and the same despite the dissonance of ageing.

Keeping all of these in consideration, what makes me unable to be fond of this is that Fleurdelys is considered as a "form" when Cartethyia is in need of using the power she cultivated in her continuous crusade. I understand the struggle and fears because Leviathan is still there (however It is there still is unknown, but for the time being I'll take for granted that It's still alive, albeit significantly weakened) as well as her hesitation to use her powers completely due to how destructive they can be and because at the end of the day, she isn't in full control of them yet.

In addition, we have seen traces of Cartethyia being herself as she always was while at the same time having changed slightly, as if assimilating with Fleurdelys shaped her as a result of it (and as per my own headcanons that I will write slowly, more than just that). Another indicator that solidifies my following take is that she went from being unable to fight at all to be highly capable of it without using the battle experiences Fleurdelys honed.

So after all of this ramble, where I want to get is that I won't portray Fleurdelys as being "another form" to Cartethyia. With the passing of time (briefer than what a natural growth would be, although it can't be said that her growth to be unnatural considering her circumstances), she will physically take Fleurdelys' appearance (I think that she'd be able to do that fast, just as Fleurdelys herself was able to take Cartethyia's appearance and change immediately) until the differences between both become almost negligible.

TL;DR: There will be no more "Cartethyia and her alternate form", but Cartethyia/Fleurdelys as a whole (Fleurdelys continuing to exist in her consciousness nevertheless).

Again we literally have Mr Karson playable, literally the guy who was erased by the 1929 is now in our suitcase, sure he is not exactly the same (see the Mandela Effect ramble I made earlier) BUT

BP YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE TO NOT MAKE SCHNIEDER NOT BE PLAYABLE NOW OR REAPPEAR IN THE STORY!

(The copium is SO strong now, literally she has no reason not to appear again in the story, maybe we get to go to Italy in the future?)

But really holy shit wydm I have to wait a couple months just to fully understand this chapter? Im looking forward to seeing Matilda in 2.3 (lawd knows whats gonna happen to her) but the fact that were not gonna see a direct continuation is driving me up the wall you cannot drop a bomb like that and expect me to be normal.
