thoughts for my sevika vampire hunter au..

thinking of vampire hunter sevika in the 1800s gothic/romantic period. she has been in the vampire hunting business for years, and collects her used stakes like trophies. sevika doesn’t care for morals. saving people isn’t why she chose the profession. instead, her motivation is simple hatred for gluttonous, greed-infested creatures that are perversions of mankind. they mock the human spirit.

she never has to spend a while on one mission, and is far too impatient. most vampires don’t require that, though. most people who walk the streets of london or in the bustling new york haven’t even seen a vampire. still, their faces pale when they hear rumors of whole villages left slaughtered by the unknown. by god knows what. they picture vampires to be malevolent, but perfect creatures that feast upon their necks without a struggle.

sevika has dealt with enough of the demons to know that impatient and such flaws don’t matter much in her industry. the woman knows that they’re simply hungry. that’s it. they’re almost always aware that they’re being hunted down, they hear the townspeople talk of some stake-equipped individual in town. of course, they have to stay in hiding. vampires grow weak with hunger and thus, when sevika finds them, her wooden point is jabbed into their soulless body.

you, though. you’re a vampire older than most, abilities matured throughout the centuries. sevika doesn’t know where you’ve come from and she doesn’t care where. perhaps ancient egypt or greece, maybe you were simply born into the century of 1200. she doesn’t know, but hasn’t exactly found the time to ask between trying to find your location and stake you. you become an obsession, though. sevika doesn’t have the patience, yet it becomes an obsession to study deaths throughout the city just to find which seem most related to you.

however, you slowly madden sevika. she loses recognition between reality and dreams, finding herself breathless in her bed chambers, seeing your face through the window or in the corner of the room. she pictures your body, too. she imagines both staking you and climbing on top of you, and her feelings mix together into what is a nightmare of a fantasy.
