Hi mami 😉
Hello! Oi! We have a Brazilian fan! 🥰🥰🇧🇷🇧🇷 So, this anon is sending me the question in Portuguese because they feel like they express themselves better in our language. They are asking for the cards if Pedro might be drowning himself in work right now as a way to escape his own feelings and occupy his mind with loads of work and not have time for or to just stay away from relationships or anything like that. The first pull was the 3 of Swords, The Chariot and 10 of Coins.

3 of Swords is a card about hurt, sadness, disappointment and heartbreak. This man has been through a lot of pain and disappointment, he “died many deaths” like he said in the Esquire interview. However, he took the reins of his own life and career, he was determined, focused, he knew where he wanted to go and he took that road with confidence and resilience. No detours. And now, with the 10 of Coins, he has achieved SUCCESS. Not really just fame, but his career, his life, everything he worked so hard for, worked out well and he is feeling satisfied and enjoying his accomplishments. This card is linked mostly to the material, practical side of life, so the thing is, we can say that 3 of Swords could be referring to his relationship heartbreaks too? For sure, but we know he had a lot of disappointment in his career, so now he is really just feeling successful, prosperous, like that’s what he wanted, and it is most likely the reason why he is taking so much work.

The second pull was the 9 of Cups, Ace of Wands reversed and 5 of Cups. 9 of Cups means he is feeling so joyful, so lucky, so satisfied and comfortable. It’s like he’s living a dream come true and he is soaking up that happiness. Ace of Wands reversed is about things just NOT progressing, not working out, his opportunities drying up, losing his moment and not having the energy to do it all over again, and being insecure and stuck. That would lead to the 5 of Cups. Another disappointment, waiting for something to go a certain way and getting cake on his face. He’s too stuck in his past still, and that bitterness. This makes me think he is very scared to be this content and then things just dying out for him and him seeing himself in that heartbreak again.
I would say this shit ton of work is more about him not wanting to miss any opportunities and taking everything he can to avoid losing it all again. He’s making the most out of this successful time in his career.

Fic Writer Interview
My lovely friend @sheepwithspecs tagged me here, and I will spread this by tagging @yellowsalt3 @linnorabeifong @vr-tb @chiefbeifongcanrailme
1. How many works do you have on ao3? 14!
2. What's your total ao3 word count? 414,633
3. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Choices, Chances, Changes
You Are My Life
Talking to the Moon
The Other Side of Heaven
Lay All Your Love on Me
4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I definitely try to respond to comments! The fact that someone spent time and energy to comment means so much to me, and I want to acknowledge that. I'm not the best at leaving comments, but I'm trying to do it more often as a reader bc I, too, am often dying at how awesome fics are
5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
It's probably Meant To Be. Now that I think about it, I might write an extra piece for this fic just bc I feel like being salty lol
6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?
The Only Light We'll See - The whole fic was just an excuse to write steamy, smutty Linzin and let them have a happy life together. I guess you could argue that the main Linzin and family AU I write could also be one of them, but I haven't completed their story yet in this universe. Tbf, I don't think my Linzin AU has an "ending" but whatever happens, Linzin gets their happy ever after
7. Do you write crossovers?
Right now, I don't. But I was more open to writing crossovers when I was a kid.
8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?
I haven't thankfully, I have really awesome and sweet and kind-hearted readers in my circle 💞
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Hell yeah, I fucking do! It's prob one of my fav things to write 😂 Idk what they mean by "what kind" but I've written possessive, romantic and loving, quickies, foreplay, first times, and spontaneous stuff. It's fun and my otps tend to be...super horny vibes
10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Nope.
11. Have you ever had a fic translated?
I haven't, but I would be interested in seeing one of my fics translated!
12. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yes! It's Come As You Are with picajc and @alemanriq, and this holds a special place in my heart
13. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
404 error. I have too many, but for now it's Lin/Tenzin
14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
Probably Olvídame y Pega La Vuelta just bc I lost the vision for it
15. What are your writing strengths?
I think emotions are a big part of my writing process and it comes through in my fics. I channel my own emotions into my writing and it does leave a more profound impression.
16. What are your writing weaknesses?
Sometimes I want my writing perfect in the first draft, and it stops me from just enjoying the process. Recently, I've been wanting to write and that has manifested into writing for "results" rather than quality. I mean, I still try to write my best and for the fun of it. It's just that work sucks my energy and the time I have left for myself is recharging 😭
17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
I need more context with this question. Does this mean if I do something like this:
Lin and Tenzin raised their brows at the girl with the electronic device.
"어머, 죽겠다! 린베이퐁과 텐진 진짜 앞에 있다," she said aloud, though the language is not her mother tongue. "어떡해...인스타로 올리겠지"
In general, I would be open to it because it can open up new pathways for writing
18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?
Meet The Robinsons
19. What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?
I don't think I have one. For the most part, if I want to write for a fandom, I just do it lol
20. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?
Choices, Chances, Changes. I swear a divine force guided me into writing this bc I was so compelled to bring it to life. The updates were posted every few days, and the story was completely written in 6 months.
There were 21 chapters.
Also, it was the first fic I completed in like 14 years (omg I sound old now 💀)
Thanks @sheepwithspecs for tagging me! 💜

fanfic authors tag game!
Tagged by @bethecowgirl, thank you!!! I’m always up for one of these
I tag @gobbluthlesbian || @gobbluthbisexual || @theonewherelaurynhasablog || @whythinktoomuch || @redvanjie || @catty-words || @h-influenzae || @dollsome-does-tumblr || @pega-and-the-pen || @halles-comet || anyone else who feels like doing it! I just tried to tag people I know have fics/are still writing fics
AO3 name: xlessxthanx3x
Fandoms: From oldest to most recent: 13 fics for Glee, 1 fic for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and 10 fics for Arrested Development
Number of fics: 24 on AO3
Fic you spent the most time on: Obviously When You're the Best of Friends (wytbof), since I started that in 2011…and I’ll probably never finish it.
Fic you spent the least time on: Honestly probably One of Gob’s Better Parties. It’s one of my shorter works and since Id written so much smut before, particular in RPs, it wasn’t as hard as some of the past ones I had written. I think I got that done in a day or two. In terms of multichapter fics, I wrote Take On Me in about a month.
Longest fic: Étude No. 3 in G-sharp minor, S. 141 AKA piano fic 2 (13 chapters and still longer than wytbof that has like 30 chapters. It’s uh…321,472 words)
Shortest fic: Red Lace, a glee one-shot smut fic (1,359 words)
Most hits: Surprising no one, Take a Bite of My Heart Tonight, which is probably my best glee smut fic, with 7,472 hits (imagine how much more I’d get if it was k/laine lmao).
Most kudos: I wasn’t surprised by the previous answer because I get kudo email alerts for Take a Bite of My Heart Tonight fairly often.
Most comment threads: Wytbof, of course, ‘cause it’s so long and has been going on for so long. Very proud to say that first piano fic is right under it. I know being multichapter helps and I have no other glee multichapter on AO3, but I’m still proud lol
Fave fic you wrote: I’ll always say that some of my best writing EVER was in Étude Op. 25, No. 2 in F minor (first piano fic). I’m also so proud of Take On Me, it’s just so freaking cute.
Fic you want to rewrite/expand on: I can’t imagine rewriting anything, though I’m technically rewriting Take On Me as a novel. Lots of character changes, and not just the names, but like a lot of different dynamics between characters and stuff. Expanding, though…I have a full idea of a big overarching plot for the In the beginning, there were lips series. And, being high on my own ego, I have started work on yet another piano fic, but this time it’s covering Tony’s early life and fill in gaps that we didn’t see in the 2nd piano fic due to time jumps. Not sure how interested people would be in it, though, even if I reigned in my word count lmao. In a similar vein, I started work on something I was calling Take Me On, which is Take On Me from Tony’s POV. Not sure I’ll finish it since I haven’t touched the doc in September, but I open it up sometimes and think about it lol
Share a bit of your WIP or share a story idea that you’re planning: BLULANDER AKA Zoolander AD AU. it might just be the STUPIDEST thing I could ever do, but that just makes me want to do it even mORE. I just don’t want it to be a complete re-telling with a different endgame, I want to find ways to make it my own, so I’m conflicted. I’ve managed to find that balance with You're Standing on My Neck, which is loosely based off Daria, but that’s easier when you have multiple episodes you rewrite with much more complex characters than Zoolander lol.
But anyways Blulander. I shared part of it a while ago, but here’s some more of what I wrote that I never shared on here. Gob is Zoolander (weird shift lol) and Sally is Matilda (because I might as well keep one actor the same). This is from her interviewing him at the beginning of the movie
“How am I supposed to forget that you’re Sally Stickwell?” Gob asked with a grin. Sally clenched her jaw but said nothing in response to that. There was no need to try to get the idea of professionalism through his thick head.
Instead, she asked, “So, when did you know you wanted to be a model?” She was pretty sure he didn’t know until he was discovered back in high school, but she was sure he had a different answer these days. His mother was the one who managed his career, after all, and Lucille Bluth would certainly make sure there was a polished, proper response.
And Sally’s instincts were right. “I guess I’ve always known. I always knew that I’m, like, really, really, ridiculously good looking. And I was sure there had to be a career for that, you know?”
“A career out of being good looking?”
“Utterly good looking.”
“And you never wanted to be anything else?”
“Nope.”
That was a lie, a bald face one. Sally raised an eyebrow and wrote down the response, biting back the urge to bring up how false that story was.
Well, at first. But then she figured, hey, if they wanted to use her due to her history with the Bluth family, why should she hold back from asking the right questions?
“So, you never wanted to run the Bluth Company?”
“No.”
“You were always okay with your younger brother, Michael, taking over?” Sally asked. “Since he has just been named as the successor to the CEO position, right?”
A muscle in Gob’s jaw twitched and Sally bit back a smirk. It was cruel of her and she knew it. Really, Gob, as much of a jerk as he could be, was really more of a harmless idiot than anything else these days and he didn’t deserve to be reminded of how he hadn’t gotten the position he had coveted since childhood—even if he didn’t do anything to try to actually earn that position. But, whatever. Maybe she could find a way to make this piece something more than a generic interview.
“He has, yes,” Gob said, his voice a bit stiffer than usual. “I’m very happy for him. He’s been working on it his whole life.” He let one of the make-up artists brush a powder over his nose before commenting, “Of course, you’d assume the position would go to me as I’m the matriarch of the family—”
“Matriarch?”
“Yeah, the oldest,” Gob said simply. He laughed for a moment, “I figured you’d know what that word meant, Stickwell.”
“Yes, Gob, I actually know what that word means,” she said, being sure to make a note of that particular word use.

Diary Entry #31
Date 9/03/2010
Sorry I haven’t written an entry in a long while. Throughout that time, I was able to learn about my Napfény (Sunshine). He’s an air flyer who loves to perform stunts for ponies to see. On his off time, he tends to work odd jobs, as well as offer his time in the military to help with things here and there.
It’s so exciting that my son has grown to be such a great stallion.
After watching my sons show, I overheard of a mare nearby speaking about how Flashs friend not being there to see him. After I was done talking to her, I was able to gain the information to his friends home.
I was thinking while I was on my way to his friends place, I was thinking on a reasoning as to why I would be visiting. Then it dawned on me, I could write an Auto Biography. As I approached the door, and knocked, the questions folled my head.
After some time, and a very questionable glare at my interest towards her friend, I had gained the answers I asked for.
Here’s part of the interview.
Me: What’s your name and Occupation?
Aerial: Name’s Aerial Aim, I’m an Air Mare first class in the Hoofarian Pega Force.
(Quite amazing! Just like my father and mother)
Me: Very interesting. Nice to know that you serve proudly. So, how did you know Flash Wind and what’s his relation to you?
Aerial: We’re both Hoofarian, friends. Not a lot of ponies from where we are, nice to have somepony coming from a similar place.
(Oh! So my son at least learned where he came from)
Me: Oh! Very rare to see ponies from there. So how did you meet?
Aerial: I was practicing my flight techniques, he was just flying, and in classic fashion, we crashed into one another.
Me: -Laughs- That sounds quite funny. What was one of Flashs setbacks that he overcame?
Aerial: Well he used to be so reckless at times, but he always had a determination and fought through his setbacks when it came to his flying.
(So determined. Just like his father)
Me: Wow, very nice! So a fun question. Any funny quirks/habits that he does?
Aerial: He mumbles to himself in Hoofarian. It’s sad the Equestrians can’t understand it, it’s hilarious.
(HAHAHA! I DO THE SAME THING! Just like his mother!)
Me: Well then! -laughs- What’s his greatest strength?
Aerial: Like I stated earlier, he keeps trying, even though things get tough. You don’t see many ponies act on that these days.
Me: Interesting. So what was his weakness?
Aerial: -Glares- Wouldn’t you like to know...
After that I kind of felt like I was a question away from getting kicked out. I was able to get that answer and some others. After that, I was partially tempted to show my excitement for my boy. Though I was able to excuse myself, I fear I might have given away my secret to her. I hope she didn’t noticed.
Now starts my quest, to learn about my son.
Thus concludes this entry
With Love,
Page

#SMACtalk 80: The Failures and Successes of Enterprise Software with Pega CEO Alan Trefler
In this week’s episode of SMACtalk, hosts Brian Fanzo and Daniel Newman had the opportunity to speak with Pega CEO, Alan Trefler. Known for his “Pull no punches” approach to business, Alan makes for the perfect “SMAC” guest because he’s going to take questions head on and leave the audience wanting more. At Pegaworld, we found out that Mr. Trefler isn’t only the CEO at Pega, he is also a chess master who can engage in 20 simultaneous chess matches while enjoying a beer and having a chat with his customer and partner community. Impressive Alan!
In this show, we talked about a topic that Alan is uniquely passionate about, and that is the challenges of enterprise software. Knowing today’s importance on having tools that drive businesses forward, the Pega CEO believes that companies cannot risk investing and implementing software that is more hype than substance. We agree with this, but needed to make sure that this provocation from Alan wasn’t hype itself. This is where the interview came into play.
During this episode, Alan provided insights on the following questions and a few bonus questions that you will have to tune into to learn more about:
At PegaWorld, you mentioned the delusional behavior out there about software, specifically around cloud, AI, and bots. What is the industry getting wrong and how can it get back on the right track?
How can organizations “get real” and cut through the hype when it comes to these technologies?
You also discussed that many organizations aren’t getting it right when it comes to their end-to-end technology. How can organizations fully connect their organizations in a practical way?
You have been quoted saying that software is being built “wrong” these days. What do you mean by that and what should companies be doing instead?
A lot of the recommendations you are making have as much to do with culture as they do with technology. How do you build a great culture to succeed with digital transformation and the shifting customer landscape?
What do you envision the future of software, apps, and CRM looking like? What will drive the biggest change to business (at Pega and beyond)?
Throughout this episode of SMACtalk, Tom takes on the challenging questions that many of us are wondering about the role of the CMO in today’s enterprise as well as how that may change into the near future as Digital Transformation continues to shape industries.
Following another successful #Pegaworld in Las Vegas, this show was a timely episode to learn more about the challenges and opportunities for software in your business and getting inside of the mind of CEO of one of the fastest growing software companies in the CRM and Customer Intelligence spac. Want to learn more? Tune in, check it out and enjoy the episode!
