Note
as thanks for the great questions you sent me on my sideblog, here's a few for your own drifter/operator! from the prompts: 1, 4 and 8, and as an extra, what are their favorite planets and why?
Sorry for taking so long! I simply procrastinated... As a little bonus, ill also include the answers for another tenno oc of mine!
Anyways.
1. Both of The Chroniclers (operator and drifter) have the standard tenno powerset plus some extra naramon-based abilities. However, aside from using their powers in self-defense, I wouldn't say that they're very reliant on them. Chronicling doesn't take much in terms of physical strength, so they probably don't use their powers much.
As for operator Samuel, as scheming and smart as he is, he is nothing without his powers. He is extremely powerful, so to suddenly lose his void powers would immediately gut his combat prowess. Essentially, he needs the brawn to back up his brains, else hes more of a nuisance than the overpowered master trickster he usually is.
8. For operator Chronicler, it would have to be anything combat related, if only because sooner or later whoever is teaching him would reakize that he's weirdly talented, which would get awkward really quick. That and he doesn't like combat much.
Drifter Chronicler on the other hand, I don't think there's a skill he wouldn't want to learn. Aside from maybe taxidermy, as he likes to study animals (to be fair, so does operator chronicler, but operator chronicler isnt as caring as his drifter self)
As for Samuel, it would be anything that requires hard work, so most skills. He coasts off of his talent alone, so having to sit down and work would be painfully boring to him. If I had to pick one, it'd definitely be something like knitting. But he might start liking it were he to figure out what things he can make from it.
4.
Operator Chronicler:
"Ah, so you've met younger me! Don't worry about him, kid likes to have the aura of mystique around him, but beneath all that he's a real passionate and hard-working guy! Which I guess extends to me then...Huh."- Drifter Chronicler
Drifter Chronicler:
"You've met my temporal twin, haven't you? *sigh* Ignore him. He has not yet learned to temper his curiosity so know that all those invasive questions were simply him showing interest in you. Im sorry for the inconvenience, but some just take longer to learn than others, I'm afraid"-Operator Chronicler
Samuel:
"Why are you saying that like meeting him is a good thing?! Look, just pack up and run! Run and never look back, because Sam is NOTHING but trouble! Trust me, you do NOT want to be in a situation where you have to hear that stupid, grating laugh of his! What are you still doing here?! Go!"-operator Pepper
Edit: whoops, forgot to answer the question about planets.
Operator Chronicler- Venus, because its beauziful and its where he discovered his passion for preservation
Drifter Chronicler- Same, but only because of the overall atmosphere and vibes. Its very serene.
Samuel- Deimos. Its where he gets his cryptilex from
So yea. Thank you so much for the opportunity to yapp about my bois, and if you or anyone else has any more questions, don't hesitate to ask!

The Intan is a one-of-a-kind boutique museum with over 5,000 Peranakan artifacts, a unique culture that came to be in the 15th century in Southeast Asia. In a relatively young Singapore, which became an independent sovereign country in 1965, this is quite a rare treat.  The Intan is also nestled in the charming precinct of Joo Chiat which has been designated as Singapore's first Heritage Town by the government.
The Intan's curator and owner, Alvin Yapp, lives in the museum. All the artifacts and antiques, including the exquisite material culture of the Peranakans like the beaded shoes and tiffin carriers, are part of Yapp's personal collection.
Unlike regular museums where visitors appreciate exhibits through audio guides or write-ups, and perhaps the occasional docents, all visitors to the Intan get personal tour from Yapp. An affable and interesting personality, he offers his guests quite a good dose of the Peranakan culture through his encounters and stories, often peppered with good humor and great insights. Every visit to the Intan comes with delightful Peranakan cakes and specially brewed tea. If you're lucky, and time allows, Yapp might play a song or two on the piano.
Visitors who want a more customized experience can arrange for hands-on learning of beading, coloring of tiles, appreciation of the beautiful Peranakan jewelry, or even a wellness program involving a sound bath.
It is a highly immersive experience where you can learn about a unique culture and experience the charming hospitality of a local in his house.

Crazy Claws' Wisconsin Dells Diary: Distraction #19
So, looking back at some of the Hanna-Barberian acquaintenances refreshed in their own way during last weekend's Wo-Zha-Wa Character Convocation, and some of the wittier observations ensuing therefrom, many of them involving Snagglepuss, who, along with Huckleberry Hound, makes these convocations feasable by and large (I being chosen just because of the associations with the Dells area by and large):
Got this straight from the mouth of Taffy from Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels: She tells me that Cavey can't seem to resist her all the more because of her exceptional attention in getting him thawed out from all that time in an ice cave and breaking out of the ice just by their presence. She may not be a nurse of any kind, but just sensed that she had to "do her part" to get Cavey to a more normal body temperature relative to modern conditions. Which, for some reason, ultimately translated into a Rather Obvious Reaction from between his legs, as if sensing that Cavey wanted to thank Taffy in his own way for her care and concern. (Taffy added that while Cavey may have some "quality time" with Brenda and Dee-Dee on occasion, Cavey can't resist being especially comfortable with Taffy in the lovemaking department, remarking that "for the Original Superhero, he can't help but be rather wonderful in bed!" (Not to mention underwater, from all accounts.)
Talk about creative ways of deflating criminal ego: I understand Yukka-Yukka from The King's crew is rather fond of practical jokes, and looks for shelves devoted to some of the classics--fake vomit, fake cat poop, whoopee cushions, garlic chewing gum, chattering teeth ... but he just fell over himself in spotting a container of "itching powder" in the Jokes and Gags section of a Broadway gift shop, prompting The King "himself" to wonder if such might be of benefit to the likes of the Clue Club. Well, lo and behold! Larry and Pepper were in earshot, and couldn't help but laugh at the notion, yet Pepper added that spreading itching powder on a suspect might be good enough for laughs, but not so for detective purposes.
And speaking of the detective potential of itching powder, Woofer and Whimper couldn't help but give serious thought to that potential, even if Whimper had to be explained that such is in the old stable of jokes and gags the likes of Yukka-Yukka can't resist.
I couldn't resist the sight of the likes of Magilla Gorilla, Bingo from The Banana Splits and Clyde from The King's crew--in that order, mind you--sitting at the front window of MACS (that's Macaroni and Cheese Shop downtown, serving several interesting variants on that classic comfort food) Friday evening just before supper having mac-and-cheese as much as watching the crowds passing along. Yet for some reason, the crowds actually kept walking past, as if wondering whether they were has-beens of a kind, prompting Bingo to ask Magilla if they "were just here to get funny reactions from the tourists" or otherwise here for a quasi-serious convocation.
It's not too often that The Patio at The Keg Saloon has outdoor concerts after Labour Day, let alone during Wo-Zha-Wa, in the face of fog and mist as seem to dominate ... but on Thursday evening, despite a slow mist, the Cattanooga Cats decided to offer a special late show for the early arrivals at the Wo-Zha-Wa festival. And for some reason, a modest crowd, warmed up with hot coffee or apple cider, came out and joined in on the craziness. Kitty Jo told me over coffee at the Upper Dells boat journey Friday morning that such "just came up on a spur-of-the-moment whim in planning for our presence," wondering how many would actually come over. "But at least our music was enough to warm plenty of spirits, and I'm not talking the distilled kind!"
Wally Gator had this to observe in spotting so many T-shirts among the tourists visiting Florida seeming to come from Clearwater Beach: "I just hope people are sensing that Orlando's Theme Parks being too expensive of late means that the simple pleasures of having some time on the beach actually deserve some respect, don't you know!"
We never knew that Wisconsin Dairyland Fudge actually served some decent cappuccinos, Americanos and lattes as were probably as good as those served by Starbucks. The point of which was not lost on Snagglepuss, Huckleberry Hound and yours truly on Friday evening as the crowds were starting to get a little thin for the evening; even allowing for where the "real" action (as in the meet-and-greets in particular) would be on the morrow, we had our fill and sat outside on a decorative stone bench discussing things such as those with the arts-and-crafts show angle. And for some reason, Those Goofy Guards, who we otherwise know as Yippee, Yappe and Yahooey, come across us and decide to pull off some fencing-related tomfoolery--much to the delight of the passing parade.
And what a conversation Ruff and Reddy must've had with the Scooby-Doo crew over pasta at Luigi's Pizza Villa, Downtown Dells' own pizza-and-pasta place, exchanging their mutual interest in getting caught up in mysterious situations. Even if Reddy couldn't seem to understand what Scooby-Doo was saying, requiring Shaggy to interpret things ("Like, Scooby just comes out that way ... in contrast to a certain Scrappy-Doo," whereupon Everybody's Least Favourite Hanna-Barbera Character came along and somehow sought to channel the obnoxious in his own arrogant sort of manner).
Seems these things must've been coming ten-a-penny, but at least I've given you a few of the more bemusing observations I've stepped across the broomstick of.
*************
Meanwhile, I hope to try my best to keep this going through the fall, at least right up to the zenith of fall colours--coincident, mind you, with the Fall Harvest Festival, another attempt to keep the things going beyond mere waterslides and wavepools on the outside. Yet I feel it best as well to ask you, dear and gentle readers, whether this Caturday distractive deserves continuation; hence, give me a ring and let me know whether such deserves hibernation concurrent with that of the Boat and Duck Tours over the winter months.
