hiii hopefully im not bothering u with this!!! but umm it’s in my head that u had some art related to The Stamatin Salamander being tattooed on one or both of the twins, but when i tried to go look for it i couldn’t find it. did you ever do something like that or am i silly goofy???

hiiiii i did so something like this. i have talked about it more than i have drawn it for it is real and literal that they have the salamander tattooed on the back In Canonverse To Me. but most of the drawings i have of that salamander back tattoo are. not on here. since they involve the toplessness to be seen. so not on here. somewhere else. i might have posted crops on here but i forgor & i rarely tag them teehee on a smaller scale it also appears in my modern au as seen on [this thing]. i'm not the only one who #sees this as a thing so there is a possibility you are twofold-bulleting me with other artist(s) off the top of my head & among others i know zeynep has drawn peter as having it too [here].

went through my wips [MISTAKE] and remembered i have Creature Content from the first time i drew peter as a salamander (you just had to be there) i'm gonna need to polish the snakeniil he's hanging out with eventually

Ahaha yeah sorry that made sense I just forgort because I remembered you saying it was like a thing that like…developed but I was curious about like how unexpected/expected that would’ve been for human mama. Glad to know she was probably sort of prepared…..

….do you think the stamatins (extended family) have like….traditions around salamanders? Special family lotion to help with sensitive salamander baby skin? Hand me down little salamander feet booties for winter? SPECIAL SALAMANDER BABY CARRIER/CART?? Little baby pool wagon to push the babies in outside….

i think she had an initial shock of course but she adjusted quickly because even if i don't think the Creaturemode is like very common in the family [might happen only like ever 5 generations or something] but since it's. well it's A Thing the stories about it are passed down through the family tree Just In Case a new creature pops out. while i don't think there's a Set Rulebook about how to raise your Creatures + the knowledge from one mother might not make it 4 generations down the family, vague ideas about how to care for them still linger between the members of the family.

i don't know about Traditions but i think there are a few items/rules that make it down to the family at any given crop of The Creatures. the Recipe of the family lotion might not have survived the generations, but the knowledge that You Need a special lotion might have, for example. patterns for special outfits to accommodate the tadpole/salamander lower body might have been lost as well, but the knowledge that It Has Been Done Before persists, so mom can get right to knitting or ask her own mom for help.

typically a salamandins carrier might not work too well (see: the squirm) however mom DOES have a stroller, the ones with the little canopy on it and where the baby inside is facing whoever is pushing, which holds a little box in it with water to keep them #moist. a small cover is pulled over it so the tadpole lower bodies are hidden but you can still see the face. the splish splash of the water might attract attention but it's doable + they find excuses for it

Are the stamatins salamanders because their father was one or is this a silly goofy nightmare world where there’s like a 1/10000 chance your kid will just be some sort of random monster? Were. Were they EGGS???….

i'm mostly leaning towards the "silly goofy nightmare world where there’s like a 1/10000 chance your kid will just be some sort of random [creature]" (you be nice to them or so help me god) however i like to think there were other salamanders in their mother's side of the family instead of the dad's. kind of like a mental illness that you're predetermined to and that people might not have known about but the illness is. creaturemode. on the mother side [hence why mom is not surprised about it too much].

they were born as normal babies, their mom is viviparous (as. humans tend to be.) she's a normal human woman. (well "normal") technically they Have been eggs but like. so have you. so have i. that's what ova are. they were not salamander eggs. however they developed tadpole qualities as infants, when being put in bodies of water. similar to how they are as salamanders, they had upper bodies of infants/toddlers, and the lower half of a tadpole. i think mom was just giving them a bath one day and she turned around came back and when she did they had grown tadpole lower bodies. since then they've just had that. growing up they morphed from tadpoles to salamanders.
