hello yall! I have not been feeling good mentally these past couple of days. I'm surprised how soon I got homesick and lonely; it makes me realize how much my family means to me. I'm going to try my best to make the most of the coming month, but it's difficult to focus when I feel like this.

Honestly treating my PhD like my engineering undergrad is the most fun thing ever. I’m not working as hard as I did as a baby engineer, but learning stuff I find incredibly fascinating is so much FUN! You’re telling me I get to code, debug, play with new tools, collect and play with data, then just keep learning whatever I want?? This is a treat. It’s stuff like this that makes me feel lucky. Always the student, sometimes the teacher, never the expert 😉

I haven't been writing much because not much has happened! I spend a few hours a day in the lab, and then write, analyze data, and walk around town for the rest of the day. I'm super tired most of the time, and I'm living off of tofu and monsters. Besides that, things are alright! It's gotten a bit boring, to be honest. There's not much to do, but I'm hoping it will pick up soon <3
