See, if you'd told me yesterday morning, before I started looking at reference pics, that komodo dragons were this colour- and patternful, I probably wouldn't have believed you. In most pictures they just look brown. But like!

I suspected this mans was freshly peeled at first and that's why he was so vibrant, but then of course I looked closer and. He's literally peeling at the moment. (This is my own picture btw, I just. Forgor.)

Or the zoo lied and it's a whole different monitor lizard lol.

Multiple species of day gecko. I believe the top right and bottom left are gold dust day gecko (Phelsuma laticauda), the top left is Mauritius lowland forest day gecko (Phelsuma guimbeaui), and the bottom right I thinks is blue-tailed day gecko (Phelsuma cepediana) but the image looks edited so its hard to say.

And now, ladies and gentlemen, I am proud to announce I have been so fortunate to be visited by another Gold Dust Day Gecko (Phelsuma laticauda) today and was able to take a couple of pictures with him/her. Hope I’ll come across more of them!

So without further ado:

Here are some very cute geckos I got!

First one is a Hawaiian locale mourning gecko who is the most beautifully patterned mourning I’ve probably ever seen.

Then I got four baby gold dust day geckos! They’re tiny and I love them.

Gaboon viper Bitis gabonica

These guys have the longest fangs of any snake in the world and are super chill about it. Iconic.

They're also gorgeous, of course.
