**HERE BE SPOILERS: Skip ahead to the fan art/podcast to avoid spoilers
Reactions As I Read: ● though the art style itself is a little unconventional, it’s growing on me… especially with all the attention to detail. it really is a treat to pore over. ● heh, another “car 54” easter egg (last one I found was in an issue of Spider-Man from the 60s) ● aww, April’s dad had a stroke 6 months ago and now lives in a nursing home ● 👏👏👏
Synopsis: In this issue, the turtles return to their sewer lair to find their home badly damaged, littered with broken Mousers, and Splinter missing. They call the only person who they know that might help them… April! She shows up in a van, and a wild car chase ensues when the police mistakenly think that April's vehicle was the one used in a recent robbery. As luck would have it, the chase leads the cops to the actual robbers in their van… which looks exactly like April's vehicle! O'Neil and the turtles make their escape and head for her apartment to rest and make plans to find Splinter.
Meanwhile, Splinter takes a serious blow to the head while battling the Mousers in the sewer. Just as the rabid robots are about to make mouse meat out of the Sensei, they mysteriously march off in another direction. Splinter, dazed and nearly unconscious, takes this opportunity to escape by crawling into the tepid waters of the sewer system. The Master is discovered by two human guards, who take him to the TCRI laboratories. At the hi-tech facilities, Splinter discovers that the humans that work there are actually small alien creatures that utilize humanoid robotic bodies to disguise themselves.

MINI-BIO: "Four-armed smuggler and pilot-for-hire. A Moorserian male. Breathes methane. Former fighter pilot. He can take you anywhere for the right price."

STRONG IN THE FORCE WAS HE, AND THE MOST MYSTERIOUS JEDI MASTER OF ALL.
PIC(S) INFO: Resolution at 1000x1612 -- Spotlight on Foul Moudama, a male Talz from the uncharted world of Alzoc III who served the Jedi Order as a Jedi Master during the waning years of the Old Republic. He was later killed by General Grievous in 19 BBY.
Artwork by Nick "Phraggle" Bondra & the animation department at Cartoon Network led by Genndy Tartakovsky, c. mid 2000's.
CREATION/TRIVIA: "Foul Moudama was created in response to a poll conducted by cartoonnetwork.com. The poll inquired whether Moudama, Roron Corobb or Voolvif Monn should be featured in "STAR WARS: Clone Wars." Though Voolvif Monn was the winner, all three were eventually created. However, his appearance sparked some controversy as his species, the Talz, were previously established to have not been discovered by the galactic population until the reign of the Galactic Empire. To rectify this, Moudama's entry in the Databank explains that his origins were mysterious and few knew where it was he came from."
