He’s walked through this door what feels like a million times already, but Akihiko finds himself hesitating outside of Shinji’s room today. He’s struck with the terrible, paralytic notion that yesterday was just a dream, and that when he walks into the room he’ll find Shinji unconscious and unresponsive again. 

It’s an absurd idea to even entertain, let alone be so afraid of, but– he really doesn���t know what he’d do if that ended up being the case. 

Akihiko’s wrestling match with his own irrationality is interrupted when he realizes he can hear voices coming from the other side of the door.

One of them belongs to the lead doctor for Shinji’s case, talking about– something. Akihiko can’t quite make out what he’s saying, but he definitely catches the response. 

“No, nothin’ like that.” Akihiko would be able to recognize Shinji’s voice absolutely anywhere, in less than a heartbeat. He knows it every bit as surely as he knows his own.

He leans against the wall and finally lets go of the breath he’d started holding. 

Shinji really is awake. Akihiko hadn’t imagined it out of pure desperation.

Now he has to actually work up the nerve to open the damn door. It’s been all he could think about from the moment he’d left the hospital last night until this exact moment, but now suddenly the idea of speaking to Shinji seems as daunting as a title match. It’s never felt that way before. 

Yet another thing Shinji would laugh at him for. He’s amassing a collection.

Well, since Shinji’s doctor is here, Akihiko figures he ought to be polite and knocks instead of letting himself right in. When he does, the muted conversation on the other side of the door grinds to a halt.

“Who in the world could that be this early?”

“‘S probably Aki. Dunno anyone else who wakes up at the a– the crack of dawn like he does.” 

He exhales, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. Just hearing Shinji’s voice again smooths down some of the prickling edges of his nerves. This can still be salvaged. 

Hopefully. 

“You can come in, Sanada-kun.” 

Akihiko steels himself before he opens the door, and he still feels nearly bowled over when Shinji’s eyes meet his. Seeing them open yesterday was emotional enough when Shinji could barely keep them focused. Now his gaze is alert and aware, fixing on Akihiko with the keen scrutiny that he’s come to find so familiar– it’s almost overwhelming. He very nearly chokes, though at least this time the universe shows him a little mercy and he doesn’t make any embarrassing noises.

“Uh–” God. He needs to get a hold of himself. “Sorry for coming by so early.” Akihiko shuffles inside and closes the door behind him.

Shinji snorts quietly and looks away. 

“It’s no trouble,” The doctor replies mildly, though Akihiko has a feeling he’s a little annoyed at being interrupted. “We can continue this conversation later then, Aragaki-kun?”

“Sure,” Shinji shrugs lightly. Akihiko has no idea what they were talking about, and it’s really not any of his business to ask. He steps out of the way and takes a seat in a nearby chair, as the doctor takes his leave to give them some time alone. Akihiko appreciates it, even if it does feel a little awkward at first. 

“Never known you to be so sheepish.” Shinji’s voice cuts through the silence.

“Never known you to censor yourself like that,” Akihiko shoots back immediately. Despite the circumstances, all he’s been through these past two weeks, all his apprehension and hope and the nausea-inducing slurry they’ve blended into– despite everything, it’s still as easy as breathing to slip right back into their familiar, bickering rhythm. 

“Yeah well, the doc doesn’t appreciate ‘profanity’ in his hospital.”  Shinji rolls his eyes. “His words, not mine.” 

“When has that ever stopped you before?” 

“When he’s got the same glare as Sawashiro-san.” 

“He can’t be that bad,” Akihiko laughs. Out of all the matrons who’d been at the orphanage, Sawashiro-san had been the most intimidating by an oceanic margin. She’d practically been a boogeyman to the younger kids– and the older kids, however much they would have denied it. She had never been cruel, at least not in hindsight, just ruthlessly strict. And after all this time, even Shinji still can’t say her name without an honorific.

“Go ahead and try swearing around him then,” Shinji returns. “See for yourself.” 

Akihiko folds his arms and scoffs amiably. He will not be doing that.

He feels so much more relaxed now than he did when he first walked into the room. He wishes he could keep things like this, continue to bask in the simple camaraderie of nostalgia.

He knows he can’t.

So. We Are ep 13. I don't how they do this, but they keep making every episode better than the last. At this rate, I'll not be able to survive episode 16.

Warning: long post 😊😅 (there will be a smol part 2 because 30 screenshots are definitely not enough.)

We have the Best Parents in BL, but now I present to you: The Best Aunt in BL.

Subtle, Aunt Pui, real subtle. 😭

I get her. She just wants a nice, handsome boyfriend for her nephew. 😌

First of all, the symbolism is hitting me right in the face, but it's also so subtle because no one else knows the whole story, so they wouldn't be able to figure it out.

Secondly. Yes, the red and blue do clash a bit, and it's not the prettiest little painting. But. Not every painting has to be "pretty" or perfect. Just like feelings or emotions in real life. Peem didn't willingly draw over his precious painting because he thought it'd look better; he did it because he wanted it to express his feelings. This also ties into Peem's insecurity at having (apparently) failed at being Phum's comfort zone because see, in the painting it looks like the sea is embracing the roses, or protecting them.

What I'm trying to say, is that what makes art beautiful is not just what you directly see on the canvas/right in front of you. And this applies even to the "pretty" ones. The David is not just famous because it looks very good, but also because of the amount of skill and talent Michelangelo had to be able to create such a thing from a block of marble. (I'm sorry I'm not good at examples or analogies 😭)

Sir. What business do you have, making an expression like that and giving me a heart attack.

If I haven't said this before: find a man who looks at you like Phum (Pond) looks at Peem (Phuwin).

Two sides of the same coin.

Phum still feels guilty (which is very clear from his reaction to what Peem says) about ruining Peem's painting, so he wants to do something to make sure nothing like that ever happens to Peem again.

Peem is long over it (you don't ever forget shit like that, but he has definitely forgiven Phum). He met Phum because of that Incident™, and he has a new, upgraded painting, so this is just a light joke for him. But the moment he sees it's too soon for Phum, he immediately goes to reassure him he's just kidding, and he absolutely does not hold it over Phum.

A simple pinky promise, but how much does it mean to Phum?

He's never had someone to make a pinky promise with; Fang was in a similar situation as him, and Beer knew better to make a promise and have it broken by forces outside his control.

So this, this small, childish gesture means quite a bit to him. (Which is also probably why having broken it hurt him so much.)

And yet Peem, you're smiling so wide while saying that. Almost like *le gasp* you actually like it!

Let's be real here, Peem. You don't mind at all. In fact, you sounded unbearably fond saying this. You were quite literally giggling and kicking your feet. (Which fits my headcanon of him pretty well actually.)

Well, Chain, I'm sorry to be the one telling you this, but Phum moved into Peem's heart like 6 episodes ago.

Well, yeah, but Peem has to act at least a little bit like the tsundere he is, right?

Chain: "Well, can a cupid shoot an arrow at himself?"

Toey: *very telling side-eye*

Q: You really think one flirty line will trigger his half braincell to understand what he didn't in the past however many years? ...go on, I wanna see how this turns out

Peem: Don't say anything don't say anything DON'T SAY ANYTHING DON'T YOU DARE FUCKING SAY A SINGLE WORD- (internally: Idiots. They're idiots.)

Ah, I love the sibling energy here. Also, initially I was like nah you're more like Tan. But then I gave it some thought. And had a Realization: he really is the Fang in their relationship, and Q really is the Tan. (I do not have the brainpower to explain rn, but tell me if you want me too, I'll include it in Part 2.)

Phum can't wait. (And neither can Peem, because I didn't see ya denying anything, babe. Instead, you gave him the softest shoulder bump in the history of soft shoulder bumps and that bigass (smitten) smile.

Oh boy this scene.

Right before this, when Peem called Phum immediately after the last brushstroke, I was smiling so hard and giggling like yesss do boyfriend-y things with each other!

Him waiting on the porch: still big smile. Here comes Phum! Ooh are they gonna flirt in the car??

My smile started dimming as the seconds ticked by and no Phum appeared on screen.

Until I finally realized what was happening.

I almost stopped breathing.

And as the scene went on my heart broke a little more with every text and every call, and I was watching that mall scene again. Except it was much much worse this time.

So long story short, I was heartbroken for both of them. Especially when Peem showed up alone with the saddest lost-kitten face ever.

But, at this point I knew Phum must have had something really urgent/unaviodable to miss his meeting with Peem because 1. He really really loves that boy and 2. He was very much looking forward to doing this with Peem.

Unfortunately, I will have to end Part 1 here (please don't kill me), and I'm loathe to end on a sad note, but I promise the next part will be much happier. It will hopefully be posted a little later today.

Niki knew that the pikachu’s on stage with them were real people dressed in a costume but that doesn’t mean he can’t get shocked after accidentally revealing one of their identities. his shock quickly changed to amusement as the revealed pikachu could only think of one thing to say as the tension in the room heightened- “pika pika?” it’s not like you could avoid him after humiliating yourself either, you still have all of tour left.

Aeth’s blog is following my own play through of HeartGold!

He’s from Johto, and may not know much about Pokémon or people from other regions. He’s also not used to the fairy type category existing, among other things released in newer games.

Because he’s following my game, his main Pokémon are also the ones I’m actually using at the moment. Some he’s brought up before may be quietly removed from the list, “released”, “traded”, or “sent to his mom” in character, but they are all just sitting in my storage ooc lol.

why are u mad at the nail shop when u the one who cant keep up just go solo so customers kno its gonna be a whole day event and get to make the actual choice themselves 👀

Not that I can't keep up, as in I take 2 hrs per gel manicure. Literally takes me 15 mins more than the rest of the girls and for them that's 'a problem' and not the only reason.

They are banning me from doing services after a client reported the salon to the national customer's service because of an acrylics set I made that lifted. Now, let me give you some background into how this happened as this was the only time something like this happened.

I ran out of materials, because we had to provide basic materials. Acrylics, base gel, top, e file, stuff for nail prep, etc. and honestly I was running low on them to begin with, my bad there, I should've asked for help to a friend or someone, but I wasn't expecting them to take so long to make payments (that first month my payment was made on the 8th) and when they finally paid I asked for permission to go to a nail supply store that was close by, explaining the situation to my bosses, that the materials I needed were essential for all of my services and I was still denied because of the massive amount of appointments. Joke was on them as there were pretty much no appointments that day, reason why I asked for permission and I could've perfectly gone and get all I needed, it would've taken me less than 30 minutes, but, no, Pikachu knows everything.

Knowing I didn't have the essentials for an acrylic they still booked me an acrylics client last minute, we didn't have access to the bookings and we weren't allowed to say no either, so, I had to buckle up and do a bad job because of them, knowing that it'd lead to something like this because this client was a lawyer. After that they banned me from doing most services BUT gel and regular manicures.

So, it's not only a thing of being able to keep up or not, which yeah, I do have a difficult time with my eye in comparison with my colleagues, but also these people destroyed the trust I had in my work and lowered my self estheem to levels I never knew existed, to the point of near suicide, and also they messed up my finances pretty badly, so excuse me for being a little mad to them.

Also, how do you expect me to go solo, if I don't have the money to invest in supplies, smartypants? I'm in debt (I'm pretty sure it says in the title or header of the post), barely earning 200 usd/month and in the debt registry in my country to boot, and just by being there and earning that little I'm automatically denied credit cards and any sort of loan, and most likely, jobs as well. Note that minimum wage here is at 500 usd/month and I live in one of the countries with one of the highest costs of living in Latin America.
