I hope you have a better time with Andromeda than I did! It's definitely not a game for everyone
aaa I hope so tooIt’s a bit more overwhelming than the original trilogy so I’m gonna have to take it slow and I was a little nervous it would take me longer to get used to the new crew but I forget how easy it is for me to fall in love with characters so I was worried for nothing lolGetting to run around a ship and interact with a crew again just oofIt makes me feel warm and fuzzy insideMass effect has a huge spot in my heart so even with all the new kinda confusing stuff and occasional glitching I’m having fun just being in that universe again ;v;

About the Boueibu iceberg
@delphoxqueen asked me to explain about my list for the iceberg so here it is. I might update this from time to time with links and stuff if I stumble across the original posts. This is all from what I know so feel free to add new info. Also, spoiler warning for RobiHachi and the Boueibu manga and novels. (This is like a masterpost it’s very long)
1. There’s a theory in tumblr about which decade the series is set in, using data like the friday the 13th calendar in s2 ep11. In HK we got a second number for when the next monthly Pretty Boy Contest was happening and using the one from Love it was theorized that around a decade had passed since then, which ended up being true.
2. The stage play had a few original songs and characters exclusive to it so unless you watched the full performance, you probably weren’t able to witness all of them. One of the characters is called “Robato Deniro”, as romanized in the stage play booklet I own.
3. The nurse and the cafeteria staff from the s1 mobile game appear in the background in around the first half of s2 ep3.
4. S2 had an unfinished manga that was only available online and was never released on physical format; it was centered around the defense club and sometimes the conquest club and Beppu brothers. All that’s left from what I know are the scans linked on magicalgirlsandcerulean’s blog.
5. This isn’t that obscure because it’s talked about in the anime, but I’m mentioning it because I think many people dropped it before the ova, where right at the beginning it is revealed that the alien that resucitated Mr. Tawarayama twice was, as described by Io, a “mulberry-colored naked mole rat-looking thing”, and was nicknamed “Moley-san” by Yumoto. At least in the anime, we had never heard before of who this was and it never appeared on screen nor was mentioned again.
6. In HK ep8, Karurusu promises the knights to grant a wish if they show him how earthlings spend summer. Kyoutarou reveals at the end of the episode that he wished that summer lasted one more day so he could spend it doing nothing, which prompts Ichiro to theorize that it’s the 32nd of august, and the next day is the second 1st of september.
7. The stage play was was held from march 10th to 13rd, of which the latter is Ryuu’s birthday. There’s an additional recording of a small celebration with cake focused on Ryuu and Io.
8. Atsushi mentions his older sister in the flashback at the beginning of s1 ep4, but she never appears or is mentioned again.
9. There’s a few posts on tumblr theorizing about what happened to the Hakone parents since Yumoto only says in s2 ep3 that according to Gora, “they are busy with their hot springs tour”. En mentions that it’s a bit suspicious, but it’s all the information we have from the anime. Posts talk about the parents perhaps passing away from an accident or an illness, thus the reason why Gora was so worried about Yumoto’s cold in s1 ep10, but from another post I think it’s implied in the second novel that they actually left their home when Yumoto was still a toddler.
10. It’s no secret that the surnames of the characters are all real onsens in Japan that even the seiyuus have visited, but apparently the Arima onsen has two different kinds of water, “kinsen (gold hot spring)” and “ginsen (silver hot spring)”, with different properties each, and the Kusatsu onsen water also has certain properties, both that were used to build the characters. Additionally, Ryuu’s favorite food are Sato Nishiki cherries, which are grown in the same prefecture, Yamagata, as his onsen, Zaou.
11. The press club lose relevance after s1, with only Kinosaki and Tazawa reappearing briefly in s2 ep2 to interview the Beppu twins after they arrive at the school. Tazawa doesn’t even have lines. Hireashi is mentioned by Zundar in ep11.
12. What the heck
Tumblr media Tumblr media
13. Exclusively in the manga we see that Arima met Kinshiro and Atsushi when they were little and they were good friends, but when they met again as adults, Kinshiro seemingly didn’t remember Arima. Atsushi, however, stated that Kinshiro’s talent is remembering people’s faces and names, so Arima wonders if he’s just trying to distance himself from him. He also explains to Akoya that he follows Kinshiro and obeys him because as a child, he was fascinated by his radiant smile. This is never talked about in the anime.
14. Like the previous point, the anime never shows Akoya being bullied, at most just a slight dislike of his full name, but the manga shows that he was made fun of for it and how he actually hates his surname, to the point of introducing himself formally to the president and vicepresident of the student council as “Holy Angel Akoya”.
15, 16, 17, 19. Batonama lives were the livestreams done through the franchise by the defense club seiyuus on youtube and niconico. They’re all on youtube, without any kind of translation.
Love-ko is a girl with a shell bikini drawn on a piece of cardboard that was used as a girlfriend in the Batonama Love! lives, acted by the seiyuus themselves.
RobiHachi has one episode full of official Boueibu artwork and a parody of the series too, a Love-ko doll appears, and Wombat appears as well, named “The Don”. It received an english dub, so for a bit, people were excited that Wombat was going to speak in english too. Also, various mechas appear in both Boueibu and RobiHachi.
18. The director of Fairy Ranmaru (Masakazu Hishida if I’m not wrong) revealed in an interview that he was inspired by Boueibu and aimed to make a show like that.
20, 21. The website super-groupies.com has results for defense and conquest club lingerie sets, dc and VEPPer tote bags, the Beppus’ scarf rings, dc bath sets and the pumps magicalgirlsandcerulean mentioned. I’ve found the s1 Loveracelets and Caerula Adamas’ ring on different sites, the True Loveracelets on TheChara’s twitter and the Happybraces (apparently called “Hapibure”) on broccoli.co.jp but I’m not sure where exactly they were all announced and sold, so I’ll just drop that.
22, 33. Boueibu was originally pretty much a copy of Sailor Moon, I think they were all going to be called “Lackluster Moon” and that stuff and be literally Sailor Moon genderbent. They were all different from color palettes to physical features (except Yumoto’s), and Ryuu was a shota, even smaller than Yumoto. Their names were also very reminiscent of the five Sailor Senshis’. Even if they made it more original, the show is still clearly inspired by Sailor Moon (just look at Caerula Adamas lol) and Pretty Cure. It has also referenced, very blatantly, animes like Doraemon, Detective Conan, Aikatsu and even Vocaloid, when Kyoutarou tries to guess what Karurusu is saying with ““Just Google It, Asshole”?” in ep1.
23. Wombat’s real name and the name of his planet sound like gibberish to the earthlings and ends up being named after the Earth animal, but Zundar, Dadacha, Karurusu and Furanui all have original names. And I think Hireashi means “goldfish”?
24. If you google “zundar technology”, it’s actually a company in Shanghai, China. Aren’t Wombat and Zundar always talking about “advanced alien technology”?
25. Zundar and Dadacha are siblings, so are Karurusu and Furanui, and so are their father King Kamopapa and their uncle minister Wao, but neither are the same species and, except the first two, not even the same color. But they are supposedly related because they share birthmarks or something like that...
26. Everyone who’s in this fandom knows about the pixel blur and voice pitch censor from s1, but I’ve added it anyway because it’s so rare for mahou shoujo and shounen animes to explain why the heroes aren’t recognized when transformed.
27. A good while of s2 ep11 is spent discussing Zundar’s ex-wife and his problems to give child support. Naturally, he gets mad at this.
28. “Money doesn’t betray” (s1 ep6) and “The despair hidden behind your smile that comes from not being understood” (s3 ep11) are sentences that came out of nowhere and implied that the people they were said by (Io) or about (Taiju) respectively had some kind of angst going on but were never explained at all. They’re famous for just that.
29. The Beppu twins’ house in Andromeda shown in flashbacks had strange green circles that apparently are from another anime I don’t know but honestly I didn’t get it very well... It was revealed on a tweet from Takamatsu.
30. Alien language mostly appeared in s2 due to the many flashbacks of Aki and Haru in Andromeda, but in Boueibu s1, it appears on the Zundar Needle before it is shot on the human. It appears a lot through RobiHachi as well, due to being a story about travelling through space. There might be an alphabetical chart somewhere, but I can’t assure it exists, I might even have dreamed it.
31. Hikaru Midorikawa as the melon monster, Kousuke Toriumi as the bishounen monster, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as the kotatsu and panda monsters and Takuya Eguchi as the remote controller monster in s1 and 2, before going on to voice the main cast in HK. Keisuke Koumoto voiced Hatchi Kita in RobiHachi as well as Akihiko in Boueibu, and the characters look similar.
A new addition is that so far Boueibu is the only anime I’ve seen where children weren’t voiced by female seiyuus, but by actual children. Personally, it’s charming and makes it so much more realistic, specifically since no women appear in the franchise at all either (not counting Protag-chan in the game).
32. Speaking of seiyuus, Can I Destroy The Earth? had a dub shown in ep11/12 (?) that made Gora the villain that wanted Earth to stay the same and not progress, against the monsters that supposedly wanted to bring good things to earthlings. Aki and Haru quickly dismissed this dub as fake. (I made a mistake in the title in the previous post btw)
34. As seen in the glossary in the Boueibu Mook (I think, but might not be the mook), Caerula Adamas’ speeches are based on an old japanese detergent commercial that went “Gold, silver, pearl, gift”.
35. In the manga there’s a short parody of the first chapter of Sailor Moon with “Pretty Boy Guardian Gakuran Akoya”. The conquest club manga was released before the anime, so I remember reading somewhere that a fake website appeared for the Gakuran Akoya manga, before turning into the conquest club manga website in the day of its release.
36. Cgi was used a few times in the anime: s2 ep10 for a short sequence of the defense club on a rollercoaster and the carousel monster, ep11 for a cenital shot of the Battle Lovers singing, and HK ep12 for the Honyalaland soldiers and the Wao mecha.
37. The toothbrush incident in s1 ep7. (It’s definitely well-known but it’s so weird lol)
38. “We hope we can see each other again someday!” Something along those lines was the last text to appear in the last episode of HK, implying a s2. We all know how that went.

The sims is my main game. Like something I always come back to. Even if I get tired of it, once I get a break, I'd boot up the game go back to my pixel family.
My first sims game was The Sims 3. I don't know how I encountered it as a kid, but I remember asking my dad to have it on our computer. Years later with Sims 4, I was disappointed it was different from TS3. What do you mean we don't have cars anymore? No more open world? Whhaaattt???!?!?
Anyways, sims isn't just my game. If I tire of taking care and making sure my pixel families survive, I go to games that makes me hack and slash, and shoot stuff lmaoo
I play:
Gods Eater series; from Resurrection to GE3. I already played the first game before, in PSP, so I already knew what happened in Resurrection, though I still have to beat it. I'm in the part where we finally have closure for Shio. In GE2 Rage Burst, I stopped on that mission where we have to rescue someone that got lost in a mission (I think I stopped because I was getting frustrated LOL), and then on GE3, I'm actually getting back to it, where I'm in the part where go for dusty miller. I will still need to finish them (but I'm getting there!)
I also managed to finish Dragon Age, from Origins to Inquisition. And of course, my most favorite of all: Mass Effect. Both the trilogy and Andromeda. I love them both, and I cannot wait for the next ME game.
And now, Warframe. If I'm not in the mood to play sims, or any other games, I go to Warframe. I shoot, I slash. I bullet jump. I make sure my Mag Prime is pretty. I'm still in the path vanquishing that Sister of Parvos to get my sweet sweet tenet arca plasmor for my Mag Prime.
There's more of course, but these are my favorites.
simblr mutuals i think you guys should indulge in more games (lovingly)

apologies if this is an idiotic question but do you have any tips on uploading high quality images to this hellsite? it doesn't really matter what reshade i use, tumblr destroys everything i try to upload yet i always notice that your photos still seem to look gorgeous no matter what. thanks in advance for your time x
Hi anon!
I ignore any and all information about specific posting sizes that generally floats around. I want to know my pictures can be expanded in the lightbox and look as big as possible. There's nothing worse than clicking on someone's screenshot and it not getting any bigger than 500px. Who wants to look at that? Not me!
I take my pictures at very high resolutions using SRWE to hotsample. That means I play the game normally at 1440p (my native monitor resolution), and when I've set up a composition and am ready to take a screenshot I use SRWE to temporarily make the game much, much bigger (usually a minimum of 5k). I take the screenshot at that size, and then change the game back to normal 1440p.
The resulting screenshot has a lot more pixel information than normal, which means when it's displayed shrunk down on my 1440p monitor, or on any other regular sized monitor, it looks a lot more crisp and clean than normal.
Other than that, and ReShade of course, I don't do anything special in terms of actually uploading them, apart from resize the 5k (or whatever size they are) screenshots to 1440p so the file size is accepted by tumblr. I upload all the full hi-res shots to flickr so I always have an online backup of the originals.
I wrote a tutorial about how to use SRWE some years ago. It uses Mass Effect Andromeda as the example, but the same steps apply to TS4. SRWE has had a couple of minor changes since then, but nothing that changes any of the steps in the guide.

Hey! I see you have good story telling recs for like video games and stuff and I just got a ps4, is there anything you recommend? I have wolf among us and Detroit become human on my list THATS all I have so far
omg girl u have come to the RIGHT place ! story-based games are my shit ok... im gonna start by doing a lil self-plug which is that i’m streaming one i really love called firewatch tonight (at 7pm PST hehe) on my twitch so we can start with that one. its such a pretty game and has a really touching story. but that aside, non-exhaustive list below:
the last of us — i havent played the second one yet, but both 1&2 are playstation exclusive i believe and the first one is probably one of the greatest games ever made. better than most movies i’ve watched story-wise; i fell in love with the characters and i doubt anyone could play this without shedding a few tears.
the walking dead by telltale — same studio that made the wolf among us (which i fucking love also), and all four seasons of this game are a masterpiece. clementine is probably my all time favorite video game character, and there were some side characters who i really sobbed over during the course of the game. plus all the characters you play as are characters of color so there’s a specific attention to diverse viewpoints there!
life is strange — i would hope you’d have played this already if you like story games, but if not, go play the original game ASAP (LiS2 is alright, but the first one is what really shines) and you can also play the prequel before the storm. beautiful atmosphere, attention to detail, gameplay mechanics, etc. good good shit
dragon age — HELLO my fave shit omg, again not to self-plug but i’m gonna be doing a stream series of this and starting with an intro to the lore for beginners because there is serious worldbuilding for these games and the storylines are immaculate. there’s three so far and including the various DLC you will be entertained for weeks if not months.
mass effect — made by the same studio as dragon age, essentially it’s dragon age in space. same great characters, worldbuilding, plotlines, etc. just... ignore andromeda and only play the main three ME games.
uncharted — i will fucking die for naughty dog games omg so they also made the last of us plus all 4 uncharted games and these ones are SO much fun. much less emotional turmoil, think indiana jones in the present day with an extra serving of wisecracking banter and there you go. really excellent fully fleshed out female characters as well. nathan drake is a treasure.
until dawn — more of a horror game but has weirdly excellent actors (hello rami malek???) and a super cool/creepy story with not so much focus on combat (more QTE based) which helps when you’re just there to be entertained. i love this game, i’m not a huge horror person myself but it’s just so good and your choices really impact the outcome.
oxenfree — deeply underrated game with some of my favorite voice acting ever, such a gorgeous art style, and an incredible and resonant story. so much lore to unpack here too, this game was really made with so much love (like there is deadass a morse code message hidden in the beat of the main song that leads to an irl mystery... google that shit its so cool) and it has major replay value. lots of choices to make and they all impact the ending in a ton of ways.
pillars of eternity — i actually liked the second one more than the first one and i enjoyed them both a lot so that’s saying something! you can play on easy mode and ignore the fighting and there’s tons of quests and choices to make and an interesting story/mystery to uncover. plus in the second one you get a pirate ship.
divinity original sin 2 — played this recently and it’s definitely more of a combat game, but as with POE you can just play on the easiest setting lol and then explore the game for its world and storyline. similar to POE in that it’s quest-based as well, the characters are super well done, and it’s all voice-acted which is nice.
star wars knights of the old republic (aka KOTOR) — listen this game is old as hell and looks like ass but its so good. idk what else to say i mean its literally like 20 years old and people are still playing it. there’s a ton of mods you can download to make it look better, but the storyline and the plot twist hold up as one of the all time greats. i’ve replayed it and the sequel multiple times. even if you don’t like star wars, worth it.
stardew valley — HELLO THIS GAME IS SO CUTE its essentially just harvest moon and yes it’s pixel graphics but it’s so charming and the characters are very enchanting. there’s not a ton of story but it’s still worth a play as it’s just very soothing and earnest. i’ve logged like 200+ hours in this game lmao
hopefully you haven’t heard of all of these already!! i love all of these games and i love sharing story-based recs because there aren’t a lot of them out there. if anyone knows of any other good ones please drop ur thoughts in the replies!

I keep seeing your list of games with m/m options pop up, which is seriously awesome! Thank you! I’m definitely going to try some of those titles out right away, since I’ve never heard of them and they seem right up my alley. Do you possibly have a similar list for f/f games anywhere, too? Either way, thanks again for writing that out. Looking forward to some happy gayming, hehe :)
Absolutely!! I actually started with the wlw games for femslash february! Here's in three parts:
PART 1 + PART 2  + PART 3
(In general I use the tag useless recs for any specific lists!)
for a more succinct list of games that have wlw romances (and if you don’t want to be submerged by the gifs and pics in those three parts links), here it is:(I added a * for the games I played, so if you have any specific questions about those ones I can answer).
Also if you want more information, just check the tag what to expect and look for the title game! MEDIEVAL FANTASY RPGS
Dragon Age: Origins* = isometric fantasy rpg, the first in the series. As a female warden you can romance Leliana. If you start as noble human you can also have a fling with a woman in the prologue story.
Dragon Age 2*= second in the series, action fantasy rpg. You can romance Isabela or Merrill. In the dlc you can flirt with Tallis.
Dragon Age: Inquisition* = classic action rpg, fantasy. As a woman you can romance Sera (who is lesbian), or Josephine (biromantic, probably ace!). You can also flirt with Lace Harding.
Pathfinder Kingmaker* = fantasy isometric rpg. As a female character you can end up in the ultimate (but hard to get without a guide) Nyrissa romance, or you can romance other female companions: Kalikke, Kanerah, Octavia. Small warning, it’s easy to romance Kalikke, if you want to romance Kanerah I think you might have to start from a Kalikke romance. You can end up with both Kalikke and Kanerah. If you decide to romance Octavia, you’ll have to break up Octavia and Regongar, otherwise you can have a threeway relationship with both (but Reg is male).
Baldur’s Gate 1.5 Siege of Dragonspear* = isometric DnD fantasy rpg, sequel of BG1. As a female bhaalspawn you can romance Corwin (but the romance does not continue in BG2).
Baldur’s Gate 2* = fantasy DnD isometric rpg, sequel to BG1 and Dragonspear. As a wlw bhaalspawn you can romance Hexxat (mild warning: she is a evil character, so you might want to do an evil/neutral playthrough).
Divinity Original Sin 2* = isometric fantasy rpg (it’s here but is it really medieval? I am not sure). You can play as Lohse or Sebille, or you can start a new character. You can romance any of your companions, the female ones are Lohse and Sebille. (ex. if you play as Sebille you can romance Lohse). No need to play the first game.
Divinity Original Sin 1* = not exactly romance in sort of medieval fantasy rpg. You play as two characters, they have minimal interactions, and at the end you can get the lovers ending.
Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen = In this fantasy rpg you can play as any gender and you will have interactions with different characters. Some of these npcs can become your beloved at the end.
Knight Bewitched* = small fantasy pixel rpg inspired by Jrpgs. You play as a female knight, Ruth. The story is linear, so Ruth will necessarily end up in a romance with Gwen.
Skyrim’s mod Enderal = this is a whole big mod for Skyrim with its own storylines and characters. In this mod you can romance Calia.
Sorcery!* = not exactly a romance, but if you play as female character or male has no influence on a female seer falling in love with you in game 3. If you play as male and have the Y’Bran god, you can turn into female for a night and have a fling with a pirate lady in game 4.
Arcanum of Steamworks and Magick Obscura* = not a full romance, but you can sort of have a thing with Raven (female elf) independently from your gender.
HISTORICAL (age of sail, renaissance, not exactly medieval) FANTASY RPG
Pillars of Eternity Deadfire* = continuing Pillars of Eternity, fantasy isometric rpg, more renaissance than medieval. As a female character you can romance Maia or Xoti (or you can match make them together!)
Jade Empire* = rpg set in a supernatural fantasy version of imperial Silk Fox is the female option for both female and male protagonists.
Pendula Swing* = adventure rpg, isometric, fantasy in the 1920s. You play as bisexual lady dwarf Bryalinne. Your wife is dead, so you are a widow. You will leave your house to find who stole your magic axe and in the city you can romance two female characters: Marla Lee, elf policewoman, or Joanna West, human adventurer.
Greedfall = in this new age-of-sail(?) turned fantasy rpg you can play as both male and female, and as a female protagonist you can romance Siora.
NON FANTASY RPGS
Always Sometimes Monsters* = you play as female or male, and you select the gender of your partner. It’s a love story, with time and money management.
Expedition: Vikings* = historical viking isometric rpg. The female option for female playes is Roskva, the witch companion.
Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey = This game needs no introduction! You can play as Kassandra and romance ladies and women all around Greece. The romances are mostly romantic encounters, not really full Bioware romances.
Mass Effect (trilogy)* = Action rpg in space. As a female Shepard you can romance Liara, Samara or Morinth (Samara and Morinth don’t have full romances) who are all part of a female coded alien species, or the human Kelly, Samantha or Diana. Liara is the only romance that can be started in game 1.
Mass Effect: Andromeda = in this space rpg you can play as Sara and you can romance some of your female companions: Suvi, Vetra, Pelessaria or Keri.
Knights of the Old Republic = a Star Wars rpg that lets the female players romance Juhani.
Fallout 4 = the post apocalyptic rpg. As a female character you can romance Piper and Cait.
Life is Strange = in this adventure videogame you play as Max, a girl who has suddenly found herself with superpowers. Max and Chloe are main characters in the videogame, and they can end up together.
MEDIEVAL/HISTORICAL DATING SIMS
Arcana = money grabber phone game, do not buy anything with real money please. You can romance Portia or Nadia.
When the Night Comes = fantasy detective visual novel story with dating sim. You can play as female and there is one female romance option.
MODERN FANTASY DATING SIMS
Monster Prom* = Your gender has no influence in the game. The game doesn’t really have romance, it’s mostly you attending a modern monsters school and trying to get a date for the prom. Dating sim. Female possible dates are Vera, Miranda, Polly, the shop seller or The Hero.
Salting the Earth* = lesbian dating sim, modern fantasy with orcs and nymphs. You play as Roo, a nymphs, joining a chief/cooking team in a building mostly inhabited by orcs. Two romantic pathways in the game, both lady orcs.
FUTURE GAMES
We know that Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous will have some wlw romance options (for now Camellia is confirmed as a romance option and she will probably be wlw), The Waylanders has also been confirmed to have same gendered romances, same for the dating sim Errant Kingdom.  Knowing DOS2, there are also changes that BG3 might have some wlw options!

ORIGINAL IMAGES
I. Fredrick Leighton, Perseus and Andromeda, 1891.
II. Solomon Joseph Solomon, An Allegory, 1904.
III. Solomon Joseph Solomon, Eve, 1908.
ARTIST STATEMENT
The goal for this triptych was to explore the ways that traditional and digital media interact, and the role that the computer plays in that process.
I chose to use classical art as my input because I was fascinated by the idea of translating classical works into a modern medium; transforming the old into the new. Specifically, I considered how our only connection to most works of art is through the computer. We are almost always viewing a copy of a copy that is altered in some imperceivable way. Due to this, I thought that forcing glitches upon these works would emphasize that notion of how art exists in a digital landscape as raw data, and how viewing systems are simultaneously disrupted and enhanced by digital technology. Changes are made to the work by running the images through various software and tampering with the raw data. The results are often unpredictable, yet interesting in their complexity.
Glitch art relies heavily on experimentation in order to isolate desired changes that can be repeated later on. The wonder that glitch art evokes comes from the unpredictability of every step in the process, and the desired outcome can feel like catching lighting in a bottle. For the purposes of this series, I isolated the changes I liked from previous experiments and applied them to these new images. Some worked well, others did not.
The first and last images used a more formulaic process of databending, only involving slight variable changes in Audacity. With the frames put together, the images are still glitched, yet the movement is natural. The middle however is comprised of the purposeful corruption of data. It is thus more chaotic and unpredictable. When presented together, the triptych demonstrates how with only slight input from the artist, a work can take on a life of its own.
PROCESS
I. Original image saved as a bitmap in photoshop. Imported raw data into Audacity (U-Law, Little Endian, Mono). Applied phaser to the image, then saved as a bitmap. I repeated this process nine times, increasing the LFO Start Phase setting by 40 each time. I then imported the images into Photoshop and created a gif.
II. This gif is a collection of glitch methods I had explored previously. They include one bmp glitched with a hex editor, two jpgs glitched with a hex editor, two pngs with a single transparent pixel glitched using a hex editor, a jpg with compression artifacts applied by upscaling then downscaling repeatedly with Photoshop, an image brought into Audacity with the phaser effect applied, another with the echo effect applied, and finally that previous image glitched using a hex editor. All nine images were then made into a gif using Photoshop.
III. Original image saved as a bitmap in photoshop. Imported raw data into Audacity (U-Law, Little Endian, Mono). Applied echo, then phaser to the image, then saved as a bitmap. I repeated this process nine times, increasing the Depth setting by 10 each time. I then imported the images into Photoshop, duplicated and reversed them, and created a gif.

There is literally no doubt in my mind that this is somewhere hidden in Drack’s room and hung on the wall when no one’s in the kitchen.

2: What’s your dream pet? (Real or not)
I want an army of cats (I already have thought of names o.O I’m definitely going to become a cat lady^^), and I would love to have some ducks (preferably Campbells or Call Ducks, or maybe those funny Runner Ducks - Pekings are  also very handsome, but they only have white plumage, and I’d like to have duckies in different colours, to keep them apart more easily^^) one day, but I’ll probably never have a house with a garden and pond and space for a duck pen so that’ll most likely be just a dream...
4: What was your favorite video game growing up?
I did not play any video games growing up, but my current favourite (and a good game for spooky season) is The Last Door, a lovecraftian/poe-inspired horror point-and-click pixel game set in Victorian England. Believe it or not, it is scary despite the huge pixels, and it has a wonderful soundtrack. It has some flaws and some pretty triggering stuff though, be careful - it is horror, after all.
15: Do you have a favorite Youtuber?
I love Bernadette Banner’s historical sewing channel! : ) I can’t sew, but it’s just very nice to listen to her. And she has subtitles on her videos, that’s very nice, too.
20: Do you like space or the ocean more?
Space! Did you know that in a few billion years, the Milky Way will probably collide with the Andromeda galaxy, our neighboring spiral galaxy? Isn’t that cool?

DUƎ⅃ Identity #1
Tumblr media
DUƎ⅃ Identity #1 Absolute Comics Group 2020 Written by Elaine Lee Illustrated by Jon Lam Coloured by Candice Han Lettered by Zach Matheny    Artemis is the world's greatest secret asset. She's a spy, assassin and superhuman secret agent all rolled into one - until her cover is blown! Now she must adopt a public persona as the world's first superheroine, Andromeda. Can this trained killer pretend to be something she's not?    It is kind of funny to see how things work out and start to make even more sense the more of these titles that you read.  While Artemis did show up in the latest issue of White Widow here we get to see the back story a bit more and learn who she is and whom she works for.  There is something nice that all of them are standalone titles that form a shared universe which allows for extra exposure.  It is being handled extremely well and I have some massive kudos for that as it isn’t easy to create a shared universe.  On top of that to have something like the Pandemic come along so that all your issues come out on the same day I have to say this may be one of the best of reading comics I have ever had.    I really am enjoying the way that this is being told.  The story & plot development we see through how the sequence of events unfold as well as how the reader learns information is laid really rather nicely.  I like how the story opens with Artemis narration telling us about where she is and where she’s going.  Once we begin the interaction with the other characters that slows down and it’s a good tactic for us to see information that is gleaned.  While some things are mentioned it’s a checklist for what we’ll see down the road while other aspects are just interesting enough to keep us guessing.  The character development is fantastic and even though Mother is a man and Father a woman it all makes sense in this weird kind of way.  Though I do think it reminds of Mother from Alien!  The pacing is nice, bit choppy in places but overall how it takes us through the pages revealing the twists and turns along the way is nice to see.  There are moments I get a little confused about Seth and Paris but I will get over that as the books structure and ebb & flow are quite solid.    I hate to assume but this to my eye looks like computer generated graphics.  I think the pixelation effect we see so that she is unidentifiable is extremely well utilised here.  I have a tad more critical eye so the little things jump out at me but again it can be written off as she can alter her appearance rather get the face the same throughout the entire book.  Oh and please don’t rely upon hair tricks to cover part of the face as it just doesn’t look and feel right.  The utilisation of the page layouts and how we see the angles and perspective in the panels show a solid eye for storytelling.  I do like the way we see backgrounds being utilised here.  That we see such nice depth perception, a sense of scale and the overall sense of size and scope to the story is well rendered with them.  Love the colour work we see.  I am waiting for that yellow line to disappear when she uses her camouflage abilities because that is going to be amazing to see without it, there is something about that imagery in my head already that I cannot wait to see play out.  Also it's a nice touch utilising other spectrums of vision and the infrared is gorgeous!     I like this is a solid book and figures to be a cornerstone of this shared universe.  I’m not sure what this whole thing with Seth is all about so I have wait to see that so the fact that I want to means that the writing and the layers within the story are strong and keeps the reader wanting to come back time and again.

1. Your first OC ever?
...Hmm, I suppose that would be Elias, Tristan and Isolde Bishop from my Living off the Land. On tumblr thought - It was Priscilla Hendersen.
2. Do you have a personal favourite among your OCs?
...Bennette - I’ve given her a lot of my own personality as well as used my own personal experiences in some form for her backstory and things she’s experienced as a parent.
3. Have you ever adopted a character or gotten a character from someone else?
...Yes! Braylie was my first actual adoption. I had to apply as my sims and wait for two other simmers to be interested in her and then have the simmers behind the scenes chose who would be her forever home. The Bartolini’s were chosen for her. My second adoption was Ariana and Bennette and Theron adopted her in a similar fashion - I had to write a letter as my OC and the powers that be chose which tiny pixel they thought best suited my sim family.. It was a lot of fun. The first sim I was ever given, that wasn’t MADE for me - but was already established and given to me was Salem (who I made Memee to pair with him). The second was Theron (who was paired with Bennette in an AU ship).
4. A character you rarely talk about?
...I have a lot of those, lol! Maybe Koa? Just because he’s one I’m still building that backstory for and getting to know. Or Sasha!
9. Would you ever be willing to give any of your OCs to someone else?
...I have already done that, lol. Probably won’t be the last time either.
12. Name an OC that isn’t yours but who you like a lot
...Mathilde, Eisley, Hattie, Juliet, Tobyn, Finn, Doc, Clementine, Skye, Karley, Nikki, Brianna, Sultan, Nyanaath, Sara, Seth, Andromeda, Louie, Tabitha, Nica, Maegan, January, Campbell, baby Jessica, there are so many!
15. Do you like to talk about your OCs with other people?
...I talk about them with my husband, my Mom, 2 of my non sim playing friends, etc. etc.
19. Introduce an OC that means a lot to you (and explain why)
...See #2 lol
23. Introduce OC that has changed from your first idea concerning what the character would be like?
...Hmmmm...... idk. I guess, Freeman. He was made purely to counter the bad teen dad stigma, but also to collab with a friend who was gettin left out of stuff and I wanted them to feel included etc. He definitely was never meant to go on from a single Dad to having 5 kids, married, homeowner and an FBI Agent, lol. After his child turned 5 he was going to move away aka be gone forever.
24. If you could meet one OC of yours, who would it be and why?
...Ooo, that’s a hard one. Hmm, Bennette. Since she is most like myself we’d have a lot of great laughs.
25. The OC that resembles you the most (same hobby, height, shared like/dislike for something etc?)
...Bennette, lol, but also Oona and Yuri. Not to the extent Bennette is - but there are other tid bits in there.
26. Have you ever had to change your OC’s design or something else about them against your will?
...Yes.
36. Do you have OC pairs where the other part belongs to someone else (siblings, lovers, friends etc)?
...Yep, lol.
43. Do you have any certain type when you create your OCs? Do you tend to favour some certain traits or looks? It’s time to confess
...I favor brown/hazel eyes and well porportioned faces and bodies, however I always try to have diversity when it comes to my sims.
45. A character you no longer use?
...There are also a lot of those, too, lol.
47. Has anyone ever (friendly) claimed any of your OCs as their child?
...A couple, yes, lol.

hi! sorry to bother you! i sent you a message a few days but am not sure it went through 😭i was just wondering if it was possible to achieve 'academy ratio'/1.37:1 in reshade? i googled around and some say to use/layer the border.fx, some say aspectratio.fx (although i tried playing around with that in 4.3 and nothing seemed to visibly change my screen), etc. i'm hopeless. 😔
Sorry, I don’t think it did come through!
I haven’t played with the new aspect ratio shader, but back in the day we used to regularly use the border shader to set up different aspect ratios, and even the vignette shader could be used to do similar. It’s been a while since I used either of them (we’re talking back in the 0.18 days of ReShade, and earlier with the vignette shader in SweetFX), so I can’t remember off-hand how they are supposed to work, but they should be applying a black border or black bars over the image – you’ll need to play with the various values to make sure it looks how you want.
HOWEVER, there is a much more reliable and sexy way of creating any aspect ratio you want without ReShade, and it’s what I use whenever I’m able. I’m sure you’ve seen me talk about SRWE before? It stands for Simple Runtime Window Editor, and it’s a small, lightweight, and free program that lets you change the size and shape of the game window to whatever you want. It doesn’t work with all games, but it does work flawlessly with The Sims 4 (presumably that’s what you’re asking about?).
I wrote an in-depth tutorial some time ago about how to use it (the tutorial is for Mass Effect: Andromeda but it works exactly the same in TS4 and almost every other game I’ve used it with). The tutorial covers a lot about how to use it for hotsampling, which means taking far larger screenshots than normal, but even if you’re not interested in doing that it’s ridiculously easy to use to run the game in whatever aspect ratio you want.
You’ll also probably want a link to this bad boy: aspect ratio calculator. It’ll let you work out the correct pixel dimensions for any aspect ratio you want. I’d let you have a copy of my AR.txt file I keep permanently open in Notepad++ but 1.37:1 is just about the only AR I don’t have noted down (I have 4:3, which is near as damn it, but is more accurately 1.33:1).
If you’re definitely not interested in using SRWE, let me know and next time I’m at my computer properly I’ll take a look at those shaders and see if I can work out the correct settings for you. But I definitely recommend taking a look at SRWE because it makes switching aspect ratios the quickest and simplest thing in the world.
