most notably whenever hes around scar theres music that just about drowns out what scar’s saying and fills the audience with the unease c!bigb is feeing to the point it doesnt matter what scar is saying because he’s that scared

One of my favorite obscure things is when dolls that come with instructions have art of the doll, because it’s often slightly weird and off-model. Pixlings/Pixie Supremes in particular use this weird gray art that almost looks like a render in style.

These are Skylar, Luna, and Aria.

And Bearlinda, Shimmerverse 2-pack Unia, and Flyt.

Unfortunately these are the only Pixlings instructions I have pictures of, but they all look like this.

A combination of watching mogswamps flatworld series from the start and seeing a fic on ao3 called This Isnt The Flat World by TheoSpooderBoi, which has a really cool premise and looks like it'll explore the isolation of living in a flatworld for 11 years, has got the brain microwave in overdrive.

Taking the idea that mog was alone for 11 years roughly, surviving in a flat expanse of a world and truely thinking of the implications. Like he was 15 at the start and also mans was primarily eating rotten flesh by ep 17 (thats as far as ive gotten so far, so probably farther too). It took him a good few episodes to finally make a wheat farm lol he was not eating well. Which bring up a pretty wholesome idea where the villagers started to trade him food like cookies n stuff (ep 16 or 17 i think is when he mentioned it) but ye.

With him living through the 1.3 update where villager trading became a thing, in my head thats when he started to learn how to talk with villagers (which is a concept brought up in the fic mentioned above and makes me crazy). Im so excited to get to the episode he meets wandy t lmao.

There are a few things

Marbles hates Water. It makes her hair feel very heavy and it feels super gross to her, so she’d rather not get wet if possible

Marbles tends to be really clingy with what she likes… usually this clinginess helps when protecting Omar, but sometimes it comes off a bit aggressive, if not really sweet

Grooming is very important to Royals, they must look perfect to be taken seriously. Long hair is seen as feral and dirty, so regular bushing and trimming is required

However Omar doesn’t seem to mind

binge reader anon's take is very funny and interesting to me but i'd also just like to bring some attention to how Dad™️ etho is in these interactions? like each of the things he says reminds me of like a dad, or like a neighbour whose own kids have moved out so he's kinda looking for someone to be a positive adult figure to?

like he says - "how are you doing, grian? you make some friends" (my mom asking me every day of middle school if i made friends...) - "we live nearby if you ever need company" that neighbour who's about your parents age and has kids your age that have moved out so they're a little bit extra kind cause they know its hard being on your own for the first time and miss their own kids - when grian asks to move in "we've got more space than we know what to do with" somehow that just sounds like such a Dad™️ thing to say? - "yknow what, cleo? i think you're really going to get along with cleo" trying to give the spouse more reasons to like and allow the weird cat he adopted to stay- - he also asks grian if he has a chicken farm and suggests he helps build so grian would be bringing something to the team and not just be a freeloader (for both their consciences)

its just all so Dad™️ which is funny cause he was so deadbeat dad last season

also in a meta way i think grian hit the nail on the head with saying everyone's struggling to make friends this season because everyone's so focused on doing their tasks, we had both him and bigb who got adopted later on while most seasons prior teams get formed in session one and then evolve later on in the season

OKAY! so my friend and i have been talking about the scarian dynamics in the life series for a while and while a lot of it REALLY hurts me (i have a very weak angst heart) ive discovered some aspects about this current dynamic that im absolutely chewing on.

SO! In limited life there was a family dynamic where Scar was the son of Cleo and Etho, and i can still see that playing out in secret life! Allow me to explain:

In the most recent episode Scar had to do the opposite of what everyone told him to do, so when grian asked him if he wanted to team, his response was very weird and "avoid"ey. Grian brought up MULTIPLE TIME in his video how "scar got really weird about teaming with me" (which to me totally reads as Grian overthinking the situation and thinking Scar doesnt like him anymore)

So anyway, Grian asks to use the enchanter and Scar says that Etho has it and he trusts Etho with it because "Etho is honest". Grian goes to Etho and Cleo and asks to use the enchanter only to find out that its NOT scar's enchanter. Etho says something along the lines of "well I dont know why Scar thinks hes in charge of our enchanter but yes we do have one" which TOTALLY sounded to me like a parent who's adult child feels a sense of entitlement to things they share with their parents (Ex. an adult child calling their parent's car theirs even though they share it).

Etho lets Grian use the enchanter and starts asking him how he's been and if hes been making any friends and the WHOLE interaction between Grian, Cleo, and Etho feels like parents trying to make conversation with their son's ex or something

AND THEN CLEO AND ETHO TELL GRIAN THEY HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH SPACE IN THEIR HOUSE AND THAT HE CAN STAY WITH THEM IF HE WANTS BECAUSE HES TALKING ABOUT HOW HES ALL ALONE AND HE HATES WHERE HES LIVING AND AND AND AAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Grian also brings up how he asked to be friends with Scar and "he got really strange about it.." and Etho went "yep that sounds about right" and Cleo agreed- WHICH SOUNDS LIKE PARENTS BEING LIKE "oh we know our son still loves his ex and everytime he talks about their interactions its awkward" LIKE THEY KNOW THAT ITS SO AWKWARD BETWEEN GRIAN AND SCAR AND THEYRE AAAAAAAAH

anyway the whole interaction to me seems like Scar's parents trying to welcome Grian back into their lives as part of the family in the hopes of setting the two of them up again because they love them both and can see how silly theyre being with all this miscommunication

The above is a screenshot of one of tropes from Shadoo's section in the SPM TV Tropes page that caught my interest.

“Never mentioned to be killed...” Hm. If I go by my headcanon of how Dimentio fits into the story of the Pixl Uprising (i.e he's both the Magician's son and the surviving apprentice who defeated the Pixl Queen), then that would give another parallel of how Dimentio was once a hero who had a Pixl that could see the truth who stopped an antagonist who had the Dark Prognosticus who several thousand years later switched sides. And by another parallel, I mean it works perfectly alongside this.

The reason Shadoo exists (if they are the Pixl Queen) is because he couldn't go through with killing his sister; he cared for her too much and now here she is stuck at the bottom of the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials and wanting to exact revenge on the Ancients for sealing her away. Based on how Shadoo has a robotic text box and says that they were created by the Ancients, it can be presumed she forgot she was ever human. She forgot who she was.

Fast forward to the events of SPM and Dimentio's intended kill-shot for Count Bleck gets intercepted by Nastasia and knocks her unconscious in addition to injuring her. Either he had the power of that shot just enough to kill Bleck and no further and that's why Nastasia survived, because why waste precious energy? All he has to do is finish Count Bleck off who is already at death’s door thanks to the heroes.

Or Nastasia was just very fortunate to survive a full-powered blast. My money's on something like the former because Dimentio has well more than enough power to absolutely guarantee no one would survive an attack like that. (the average person who isn't a hero or built for combat— which Nastasia very much isn't— anyway.)

Then there's him saving O'Chunks and Mimi from what would have been certain death by teleporting them to Dimension D. We know they didn't end up in the same place as Peach and Bowser because neither they nor O'Chunks and Mimi make any mention of such. Pair that with the fact that the Void can't be seen from Dimension D and thus heavily implying that anyone inside it would survive the Void that would destroy everything else, and you're left with the only explanation of Dimentio having saved them. I do believe that Dimentio screwed up by not only "catching feelings" and he genuinely did care for the other minions deep down as much as he tries to deny that; and I have mentioned in a prior post about him putting all of the people who could have possibly done something about the Super Dimentio fusion in the same place.

If he hadn't cared as much as he did for them and just left them to their fates, he would have won. I feel that the reason why the floor came out under Bowser and O'Chunks is because of Dimentio— because why make a trap like that that is intended to kill any who don't make it out in time and then have it to where after a certain amount of time, it would give any of the heroes still inside who may somehow still be alive an escape and make a comeback? It makes no sense. And it's because of that, that Peach was able to survive by landing on top of Bowser.

Had he only teleported Bowser out and left O'Chunks, and teleported Peach while leaving Mimi, the minions wouldn't have been able to band together with Count Bleck and Tippi to recharge the Pure Hearts and destroy his invincibility. It was his inability to go through with killing them or just letting them die because he actually cared about them— cared too much— that caused his own undoing.

History literally repeats itself if one subscribes to believing Dimentio is both the Magician's son and the last surviving apprentice.

First Shadoo who may or may not be the Pixl Queen, was spared by her brother who couldn't bear to go through with killing her therefore causing future consequences for if she ever gets free. Then the minions— including Nastasia and Count Bleck who for the latter, Dimentio in his ever present wisdom decided to spare killing for later— with their love for each other that was allowed to continue existing all because he spared them for the time being, recharged the Pure Hearts and caused immediate consequences for himself and was the catalyst for his defeat.

In the first instance, he was on the “heroic” side. For the last he was on the “villainous” side.
