Ooof, I really wanted to take more of the bottom three in particular, but I was also this close to ejecting my EA folder into the sun. They will however each get a proper farewell from Lilac (and a thank you from me to their watchers) and their very own shiny post in broad daylight when hopefully the in-game lighting is better cooperating.

Also now we know just what Forest was up to that very last day. That little so-and-so realised that he was on thin ice and thus was skillbuilding like there was no tomorrow - which for him was almost the case! I will be including Aubrey's, Piper's and Lee's score details in their farewell posts and you will see just how close it all was.

Helena: That… was… incredible.

Lilith: I told you it would be. And now for the main course. Don’t worry. They’re all volunteers, I promise. They’re required to sign consent forms and everything. We’ve got all sorts to choose from — conspiracy nuts… occult enthusiasts… fetishists… burnouts… and adorably pitiful idiots.

Helena: Wait a minute. I think I went to high school with that g-

Lilith: Focus, Helena! If they’d prefer, we can make them forget they were ever even here — though some of them do like to remember.

Helena: [nervously] But they’ll live?

Lilith: Regrettably, vampire business owners are not above the law. If anyone died, they’d have blood on their hands too, and they wouldn’t hesitate to tear you limb from limb for inconveniencing them with all that red tape. They fatten us up on appetizers so we pose less of a risk.

Helena: Caleb?

Caleb: [reluctantly] If you’re going to drink from humans, this is the safest way to do it.

Helena: But you won’t?

Caleb: Abstaining is my decision, but you have to make your own. No one should pressure you into doing something you don’t want to.

Helena: [meekly] I think I want to try.

Lilith: Good. I booked us a private room — in case you’re feeling shy about feeding in public.

Caleb: Well, this seems like my cue to leave.

1. I've been playing Sims games ever since the very first one, but in all of this time, I have never played any of the spin-off games. I bought the Sims Medieval for myself last year and I still have not touched it. 

2, When I was around 12 or 13 years old, both of my legs randomly swelled up for no explained reason, to the point where I couldn't even bend my knees. I spent a week in hospital until the swelling went away, and was sent home. 

3, I'm terrible at keeping up with the inbox here, and I can't apologize enough for it. I struggle with social situations and become easily overwhelmed. However, please don't take this as a bad thing. I do very much appreciate everything that comes into my inbox, and I love all of you for including me. 😊

(I was supposed to give the household a golden chicken and the lot the ‘clothing optional’ trait for the day but this was also when I lost a day due to a corrupted save file, so I was a little frazzled and forgot. Whoops.)

The gang is settling down to a nice breakfast when Baarry White alerts us to something amiss.

Yup, guess who has two thumbs and has never made obsidian eggs before? This Watcher.

While neither Spencer nor Piper seem to notice anything, Aubrey looks perturbed - and as well she should.

Initially I think that Lilac is alone in heeding the call of Angry Bird the evil chicken, but it turns out that possession only kicks in once the pixel in question has finished their meal.

Indeed, Caden seems to enjoy it so much that he has seconds.

As this wasn’t part of the daily roll and may impact how the Sims interact with each other - and at this point I have noooo idea how much their moods may be shaped by it - I activate the social club with the ‘be friendly to each other’ mechanism active while being mean to each other is on the banned list. 

It seems to be working a trick, but then…

Just love how Aubrey continues her painting while the punching bag burns.

As predicted, everyone gets the FIRE FIRE moodlet, but Spencer has a determined look on his face that I’ve come to recognise well.

And since we established yesterday that Caden seems to enjoy stealing Spencer’s thunder, he joins in on the heroism.

The Watcher decides on the spot that anyone who autonomously puts out a fire gets cheated up one level in CHARISMA, because why the hell not?

In spite of saving us all from becoming the subject of a Talking Heads song, Caden is still under the thrall of Evil Chicken rage, so he takes a bath.

Turns out the punching bag isn’t the only thing heating up. Spencer receives his first kiss from Lilac!

Then these two head upstairs to do what we’ve come to expect from them, and so while chore montage hour has been cancelled for the day, I assign each unoccupied sim a skill building task.

Pauline (and Baarry White) are on gardening, Avery takes up yoga, Piper goes for a swim, and Aubrey continues her painting.

Caden is on Moojito duty. In spite of Moojito's look of concern, milking is a success.

I’m only including this because what the hey is this outfit (or costume - do I even want to know), Lilac? 🫣

Lilith: Shh. It’s not polite to whisper — or stare.

Caleb: [disappointed tsk] I see their plasma offerings are still abysmal.

Lilith: You set yourself up for disappointment by expecting otherwise. No one walks into a steakhouse anticipating it’ll be a vegan paradise.

Caleb: [muttering] If I’d had any say in it, I never would have chosen a steakhouse in the first place.

Lilith: We haven’t even ordered and you’re already determined to ruin the mood!

Helena: I don’t get it. How does this place even exist? It’s out in the open, right in the middle of everything! Shouldn’t the townspeople be rioting?

Lilith: The citizens of Windenburg are actually rather accommodating

of our kind. After all, it’s almost too easy for them to stumble

into vampire territory. They've learned not to risk drawing our ire. Of course, handling our dealings here with a lightly persuasive touch is also essential to keeping the peace.

Helena: So you hypnotize them.

Lilith: [distractedly] Oh, Red Count’s Risotto is divine. Helena, you must try it! Don’t look at him for permission. He’d like you to believe it’s all or nothing, but his position lacks nuance. There’s nothing inherently wrong with drinking blood. Besides, the supply here is ethically obtained.  No guilty conscience, no hand-wringing, just exquisite cuisine. See? I’m respecting your boundaries. Of course, it hardly rivals a full drain, but at least it’s a start. [to waitress] Two Risottos! And we’ll split a Rare Stake.

Helena: Lilith, I don’t know-

Lilith: Please and thank you.

Caleb: [dejectedly] Just a plasma tea for me, thanks.

These siblings were made by @sleepyselkiesims. Sally is a little bit of a genius, but even smart kids need hobbies. At least that's what Elena tells her. So Sally has reluctantly signed up to gymnastics. She won't have to take her glasses off though, right? And can Silas come watch?

Kerry Fraser is a spare from @fallin4fiction. Is one save really enough to cause chaos in? Kerry votes no. This version of her has fled her sister and parents who just don't "get her" and run to San Myshuno. Sleeping on the streets isn't great though so she's agreed to move into R Triple C. Being mean and nosy she is a bit of a high school terror...

Gym & School Staff

Lexie Turner from @plasmafruittree teaches gymnastics at the Orlando Harper Gymnasium and School of Dance. It's her job to try wrangle the kids to stay on task, and finish up in the space before the ballerinas take over...

Principal Margaret Barbosa is the youngest principal in her district. High achieving and proper, she wants to be everything to her students and their families - mentor, guardian, friend - while also maintaining the best test scores in the region. It's a tough job, but Margo's always been up for the stress of it all - abbysimsfun

Margaret Barbosa was made by @abbysimsfun to be the principal for San Myshuno Central Academy, a school for years from primary through high school located in the heart of the Spice District.
