i desperately wish gw2 had more food-centric lore. i think about asura food more than is probably particularly reasonable. they're sort of implied to like molecular gastronomy in the lvl500 chef quests which is fitting and makes sense, but surely not every asura is eating bespoke Pea Spheres day in and day out right? i think my favorite angle on them is a sort of 50s-80s american-esque food style where there's a huge emphasis on things being Convenient and Scientific, so you'd get a lot of absolute slop tv dinners and canned items that have labels boasting how they were nutritionally fortified and contained your day's complete vitamin intakes and so on. a lot of jellied things. i do also fully believe they would have + eat soylent.

I agree! It would be so wonderful, probably heavenly.

The only bad thing would be trying to decide where to snuggle in... I wouldn't know who I'd want to cuddle close to the most! Make sure to take off your shoes and anything sharp or rough before joining the pile! (also pretend I drew in a bunch of pillows and blankets... I might have gotten a lil lazy towards the end)

Hi, hi! In response to your post about wanting to see dca designs/art/headcanons...

Most of my fancontent is on my other acct @r0b0s-robos, but I'll gladly share a headcanon of mine for the dca that I haven't spoken about.

I like to think that Moon had the most difficulty w/ his role as naptime attendant. Not (just) because of the virus, but because he's as much of a theater kid as Sun is. He's used to acting, he's used to a stage voice, he's used to 'stage whispers', etc.. And a new protocol or training or whatever can only do so much to combat habit, even for an animatronic. I like to believe that his move to security had more to do with his inability to adapt quickly enough to Fazbear's standards, despite still being popular with the kids, and less to do with the virus. Tho the virus was still a part of the change.

My ADD Medication Journey - Dec 30, 2023

Forgot to post this yesterday because I was wrapped up in a personal project.

12/30/2023 – Saturday

Had another somewhat unsatisfying night's sleep

Combination of noise from outside and mind kind of refusing to stop processing

Nothing intrusive or unpleasant, things like "I should do this and this and this tomorrow"

Decided to lounge in bed later than usual to offset

Morning does taken at 10 am

Lazy day, relaxed to recoup from a very busy week

Didn't notice any serious uptick in tremors

Appetite was suppressed but managed to remember to eat around 2pm or so

Purchased some computer equipment to finally tackle a project I've been waiting on

Spent the evening working on this project—learning curve

Ate dinner around 6:30 – 7 pm

Stayed up later than I should have trying to get past the learning curve on the project

For the power users, there's also Lidarr, who can keep track of new releases and automates download/metadata gathering/renaming. That's the equivalent of aforementioned Soulseek and MusicBrainz Picard, bundled together.

And that can then be fed into a Plex server if you're really about that life, which will allow you to listen to your home library on the go - like a sort of homemade spotify (but this a bit more advanced). That's an equivalent to aforementioned Lyrion Music Server (and syncedlyrics, but with a subscription).

here's a list of programs/sites/whatever that were helpful to me when i was moving away from using spotify & back to downloading music:

soulseek - peer to peer downloading program, has most music you'd want. there's "rules" to it though and the UI is a little confusing, but you can figure it out. there's tutorials. i believe in you

cobalt.tools, ytiz.xyz, yt-dlp - mp3 downloaders, for the songs that you can't find on soulseek

musicbee - music player, extremely customiseable. reminds me of when i used itunes back in the day. has a lot of good features, including syncing music over to your phone

lastfm & listenbrainz - sites that keep track of your listening stats. i'd recommend this even if you still choose to use a music streaming service

syncedlyrics - cmd thing that gets you timed song lyrics, like the ones spotify has. there's no UI but it's easy enough to use. just grab the lyrics and timestamps it spits out and paste it into musicbee

music presence - program that shows what song you're listening to in your discord status, in case you use discord and enjoy the thought of other people seeing what you're listening to, which i do for some reason

i'm not going to lie to you and say that switching away from spotify/streaming services is an effortless task, it took me half a whole day of nonstop Work to get all my music downloaded and sorted out, but i will say that it was worth it!! and you should do it 👍 if you want to

So I have this general plot idea for my stuff involving the fact that it's heavily implied the staffbots are forcibly possessed by Fazbear employees. I have the idea that the Staffbots are able to gain momentary control every so often and use this control to try and communicate what's happened and to ask for help, trying to guide people into freeing them from this prison.

And it's been on my mind a little lately that after the fact, when they do eventually get their freedom, the ghosts don't just all move on. A lot of them still want justice, to watch over their family and friends and to be there in case those that freed them need them.

So, logically, that would make the Plex haunted. Sometimes it's just a little too cold in certain places. Sometimes there's a soft breeze but nothing to cause it. Sometimes a light flickers on without anyone touching the switch. Just little reminders to let you know they're there...

And maybe it goes a little further. Maybe there's a lost kid that found their way back to their folks because they followed a little wind up toy back to the atrium. Maybe when a staff member is having a break down somewhere, there's a comforting warmth to the room that almost feels like a hug. Maybe that teenager in the arcade gets to keep witnessing the weirdest things happening to their bully and keep winning prizes in the claw machines even though they're not due a win yet.

Maybe there's a whole group of ghosts haunting the ever loving shit out of the manager, whilst the animatronics have a nice upswing in good luck. Who's to say?
