Stay With Me | Canonverse Fluff Oneshot

The sun had just set and you knew you had roughly 10 hours before you had to leave to face both Eren and Zeke, who had full control of the Titans on the island and were leading them down a path of destruction.

You stood outside your tent as you took off your cloak. As your eyes traced over the symbol of the Scouts that was supposed to symbolize the wings of freedom, you felt your breath hitch. Nearly everyone that you had met when you first got initiated into the Scouts all those years ago was gone. It was now literally only you, Hange, and Levi—maybe even less after the battle the following day.

The odds were overwhelmingly against you. The enemy had the ability to transform into deadly Titans. Your ranks have been devastated by just Zeke alone and now you were going to face off against both Zeke and Eren with minimal forces.

Levi was an Ackerman that had a stupid amount of strength when it came to combat. While you could not be fairly compared to Humanity's Strongest Soldier™, you were also a formidable force on the battlefield. However, those factors paled when it came to the Jaeger brothers. Zeke alone, even while injured, brought both of you to the brink of death through a cleverly set trap. If the cards hadn't lined up correctly, both you and Levi would be dead.

A part of you did wish that you had just died so that you could join your fallen comrades, but you knew how much that would destroy Levi.

With a solemn look on your face, you gently undid the buckles around your waist that held your mobility gear in place. As you raised your arms off to pull the harness over your head, you felt a sharp pain on your upper right side and let go of the harness as you lowered your arm, letting out a soft groan of pain.

You took a deep breath as you prepared to lift your harness over your head again.

However, before you were even able to exert any force to lift it, you felt someone walk up behind you and the harness was gently raised off of you. You glanced back and saw that Levi had noticed you struggling and came over to help.

“How’s your wound?” he asked quietly.

"I feel pathetic," you whispered without answering his question, watching as he set your gear down next to your tent. “How the hell am I supposed to fight those two monsters if I can’t even take my own gear off?”

Levi remained quiet as you spoke, lifting up your right arm to check on your bandaging. Seeing that it was starting to come undone, he gently nudged you towards his own tent.

“Come, I’ll swap out your gauze.”

You sat on the floor of Levi's tent with your arm raised, staring at the door with a blank expression as he unwrapped the old bandaging and began replacing it with new ones. You frowned as you saw the fresh blood that had begun to stain the old set of bandages. Levi had said that your bandages were becoming undone, but it seems that the wound had started bleeding again as well.

You looked over at him, grief entering your heart as you thought about what the most likely outcome was for tomorrow's battle that was rapidly approaching.

Once he was done, you both got out of his tent and saw that the majority of the remaining Scouts had gone to sleep in their individual tents. You turned towards him without quite making eye contact and spoke quietly.

“Big day tomorrow.”

"Yeah?" he replied, matching your volume.

"We might not survive this battle," you said with your voice devoid of emotion.

“I know.”

“He already fucked us both over when we least expected it. We should be prepared for anything.”

"I know," he repeated. He knew what you were trying to say. He knew about the thoughts that were running through your mind about not surviving the upcoming battle.

You sighed tiredly as you began to turn and leave for your own tent, unsure if you were going to be able to get any sleep.

"Wait," Levi said before placing his hand on your arm to keep you from turning further. His voice was so quiet it was barely audible.

You stopped turning, but frowned.

“You going to take me off the mission again?”

“No,” he said before pausing, as if he was thinking about how to choose his words carefully.

As you watched him, you realized you knew where his train of thought was going. You felt your heart pounding harder and harder as you slowly looked up at him, staring right into his steel blue eyes.

It was agonizing for the both of you to stand there, wondering what the others' next move was going to be. You both knew what you wanted, and what the other other was offering. You've known it for years at this point. You knew when you brought it up the night before the battle of Shiganshina. You knew when you brought it up at your camp a few weeks ago before Zeke got away. You've known, but by the time you were ready to address it, disaster had struck and you ran out of time.

As a result, Levi felt incredibly pressured on this final night before a big battle. You both had a very close call where you lost nearly everything. It was a miracle that you were still alive.

Before you could think of a proper response, he pulled you into a gentle kiss, relief soaring through his body as he felt you relax into him. He knew why he had latched so hard onto the idea of protecting you. He knew why his mind became murky and cloudy upon the idea of you being in danger. He knew why he was absolutely devastated when he saw your state after the explosion. He had loved you all along, but was too scared to acknowledge it.

You stood there for a few seconds before he slowly pulled away, resting his forehead on yours.

“Keep this between us,” he whispered. “And don’t-”

“-die on me, you idiot.”

You finished his sentence for him with a small smirk before pulling back and looking up at him. He had noticed that you were slightly blushing and he found himself in one of the rare instances in which he was smiling and sustaining it for more than 5 seconds.

“I’ll see you tomorrow…Levi.”

You shot him another smile as you said his name.

He felt his own smile fade away as you shuffled around, preparing to turn and walk away. His grip on you tightened a bit, signaling you to stop turning. The idea of being away from you placed a strong pressure on his chest that was making it hard for him to breathe properly.

“Stay with me tonight.”

"Hmm?" you said quietly, looking up into his eyes again.

“If we might not live to see tomorrow, then stay with me tonight.”

Your gaze softened as he spoke.

“What happened to keeping this between us?”

"I'm sure I'll think of something," he said as he gently nudged you and you both walked back into his tent.

You were both short enough to be able to fully stand even inside the tent. For the first time ever since you first met him, you felt nervous around him, suddenly aware of the weight that your words now mean to him. Given Levi's past, you recognized that it likely took every ounce of strength he had in him to make that first move.

You saw him begin to take off his own mobility gear and you slowly moved your arm up and down to try to ease the newly wrapped bandages in.

He noticed your movements and walked over to you, gently placing his hands on your shoulders and turning you around to face him.

"Don’t move around too much or it’ll open again. We’re going to run out of bandages eventually."

"Well, I'm not going to be able to sit still while in battle, am I?"

He gave you an exasperated look.

"At least make it so that you don't bleed out in your sleep. You'll stain the sleeping bag."

You had to stifle a chuckle at his comment. Even in this very post-apocalyptic scenario in which you were surrounded by death and destruction, Levi Ackermann was still a neat freak.

"You know, I'm surprised you're even okay with a sleeping bag, given how dirty it can get sleeping on the ground," you teased, a playful grin showing on your face.

"I'm not, but it's not like we have much of a choice."

Just as you were about to retort with some ridiculous, unrealistic method to maintain his need to be clean despite being in the middle of the woods, he had pulled you into another kiss, although you weren't sure if it was just his way of shutting you up.

Regardless, you didn't mind. You shut your eyes as you pressed your body up against him.

Even if you might not survive to see the day after, even if disaster continued to strike, even if you might never see him again, you acknowledged that you at least had him here now—embracing you and loving you like nothing else existed except for the two of you in this very moment.

alanna was born heir to the d'alessio family which came with the billion dollar dynasty that her parents created .

her dad is an italian government official but they grew up in ny basically bc her dad is an ambassador/representative for italy & her mother is a super model who also wanted to raise her kids here having lived here her whole life , and so they did .

she had everything handed to her on a silver platter and her parents expected nothing but success from her because of how wealthy they were, they knew they would never have to worry about providing for her and her siblings , and so they spoiled her with whatever she asked for and more

but that came with a price, she was expected to do everything they wanted of her, go to an ivy league college, follow in one of her parent’s career footsteps

alanna did just that, she got amazing grades in high school and was head of many student clubs, organized prom, got almost perfect on sat’s and exams, and busted her ass to get into a good college despite the fact that her parents could’ve easily gotten her a spot if she didn’t do as well as she did

her life was going so well, she had the perfect boyfriend, perfect group of friends, was on her way to brown university in a couple of months, her parents and her couldn’t have been in a better spot with their daughter

the last thing they expected was for someone, a stranger, to get their hands on their daughter .

a week after her 18th birthday , she’s walking to school on a monday morning and before she knows what’s happening , there’s something over her head and she’s being dragged into a van and taken from her life

the one thing that was expected, was the $10 million ransom she was held for

basically her dad had some shady dealings with the italian mob & didn’t pay his debts to them for some time - so they kidnapped alanna in retaliation for that

they kept her for 3 days before her parents were able to work with the authorities to get her returned and pay the people in full

surprisingly, she was returned alive but she had to spend two weeks in the hospital afterwards with injuries

once alanna was returned, she wasn’t the same

she told the police what happened to her , but only barely . she didn’t tell her parents or anyone else about what they did to her when she was gone . she didn’t speak , eat or sleep for two months after she got home

she spent the last few months of her high school in bed, she didn’t attend her graduation, deferred from going to brown in the fall, she didn’t see her friends anymore and she broke up with her boyfriend

the people who took her were never caught & she is still to this day completely terrified of going anywhere alone

it took her months to be able to get back to doing normal things again and being who she was before

to this day , alanna still struggles with the memories and the ptsd from what happened to her , but she doesn’t speak to anyone about it and she refuses to bring it up in any scenario

she also has a horrible relationship with her father now , having trouble forgiving him for what happened to her

some people know about it as obviously, being as famous as her family is, it was on the news at the time, and everyone she went to high school with knew what happened so sometimes it can be hard to avoid it ( possible connections ? hehe )

deli is an la native all the way, literally grew up right in historic filipinotown and knows this city by heart

his family, which consisted of him, his two older bros, a little sis and a dog, were lower middle class, so they didn’t have a ton of free spending money but were able to get by. both his parents emigrated from the ph before he was born

school was never really his strong suit, at least when he was younger. he had other things he was interested in that didn’t involve studying and while his parents disciplined it was never really enough to change his behavior

what he does love? dance. while studying did indeed suck, he was able to at least keep his gpa up enough to stay on the dance team in high school

it was no question that he’d go to community college first to figure things out after graduating high school, because higher education was on the map..... it was just that he got sidetracked by other things

things took a turning point, however, toward the end of his senior year when his father lost his job during the recession. both he and his dad sought out minimum wage jobs after that, & deli juggled his two part time jobs with school

his goal then was to transfer to a 4 year university, which he eventually did 3 years later and entered ucla as a transfer student

there, he resumed his passion for dance in various teams and was active in cultural orgs. it was also when he really started becoming a raver and never looked back. he had always been into photography, then capturing events really helped him grow in his craft

as a result of his portfolio, he was invited to apply to vibez as intern for the summer after he graduated college

there was a part of him that was hesitant though, as his degree was unrelated (communications major, asian am minor) and he hoped to have a set job instead of an internship. but if you know deli, you know the guy is king of throwing caution to the wind

what started out as an internship to add some experience to his resume, soon became a permanent job on the photography team

he’s stayed put for the past 4 years, excited at actually being able to turn his passion into a career

besides that, the job was just fun. eventually, he worked his way up to lead and has been sitting in the position for nearly a year

a lot of people say he doesn’t take his job seriously, but deli would say that there’s nothing wrong with laughing and being a riot as long as you meet the deadlines

she was young & free ; she had a magnetic aura that captivated just about everyone in the room , but that’s not what made her special . lykke was , as her teachers would say , an enigma . she was smart all the while being unburdened by knowledge . she was skeptical of life’s meaning but at the same time , she believed in the impossible . she pushed the boundaries & in the end , it not only made her a valuable friend but an extraordinary student . she was inquisitive , always keen to learn new things , & always dove head first into new opportunities .

it was because of her determination & participation in school’s extracurricular activities that she was persuaded to join her high school’s swim team . swimming was , of course , the activity she enjoyed the most at school , but she never thought she would create a career out of it . but still , she agreed & was fast approaching becoming the best in her class . she was a fast learner , taking every opportunity to practice & before she knew it , she was at the top of her class . she was extremely valued not only by her team members but by her coach , & at one particular swimming competition , a representative for the olympic swim team came scouting for recruits & took lykke under his wing almost immediately .

she was a promising little thing , however a little too inexperienced in big competitions , but she would go far . so , to prepare for when she’d join the olympic team . she was thrown into national competitions , opting for homeschooling while she travelled for all the competitions she had to attend . needless to say , she loved it . being in the water gave her a sort of freedom she’d never felt before , & the thrill of the competition strove her to do better . she rose to success so quickly that , on the eve of her eighteenth birthday , it was announced she would be join the olympic team in the 2016 olympic games .

the build up to the olympics was immense . lykke was thrown into training more arduous than what she’d ever experienced , but she loved every part of it . she loved the adrenaline running through her veins & she loved more than anything , being a part of a team . in the games she would compete in the 800 metre freestyle race & the 4 x 200 metre freestyle relay , & the faster the games approached , the more nervous she felt . she had already successfully won nearly every competition she faced leading up to the olympics , but this was the real test in her eyes .

when it came to the games , despite her nervous state , lykke won her solo race . the thrill of this made her want to win more , but she was nervous . after watching the other team practice & perform their own races , & that her own team would need to be faster & better in order to beat them . so , in her nervous panic , when it was her turn to take over the relay , she jumped too early , even though she knew she wouldn’t clear her teammate in time , & they both ended up in hospital ; her teammate with a injury to the head & lykke with a broken collarbone .

the guilt almost destroyed her , & she thought her life to be over until her father paid off all involved parties to keep the truth quiet & instead spread the word that what happened was an accident . lykke still felt guilty , though , & couldn’t face the humiliation of being a part of the team again , so she quite acting & instead opted for a career less damaging & more achievable ; acting . her father was a director , & she was pretty involved in the drama department in school , so it made the most sense .

she landed small roles at first , but more recently lykke landed a role in netflix’s brand new hit series called ‘ fiercer things ’ . the show surrounds vampires , witches , & just about all things that go bump in the night , & lykke portrays the female lead called vita , a vampire a little like rebekah mikaelson !

lykke is a very bubbly , very curious person . she’s the sort of girl who will try anything once , which to her could be absolutely anything . she’s not afraid of pushing the boundaries & is the sort of person to test the waters before making a decision on something . want that new dress but not sure how it’ll look on ? lykke is your girl . the new hot & spicy bargain bucket at the most popular takeaway ? lykke will take the bullet for you & try it first . she’s very adventurous & is the sort of person who will jump feet first into any opportunity she comes across .

but lykke has a sort of childish naivety . she tries to be friends with everyone & is very good at blending in social situations , but she always believes the best in people & very often ends up being disappointed when it turns out the person wasn’t what she expected them to be . although she’s loving & very affectionate , she has never been in love . she’s the sort of person who dates , is in love with the idea of love but she has a very set view on what love should be like , so she crushes a lot on people only to dip when she doesn’t feel the way she wants to feel .

however she is very peculiar . she’s smart in a conventional way , & is always striving to learn more in order to be better . in this way she is very competitive , & has a habit of pushing the boundaries to become the best of the best , which often leaves other people being pushed out . but she’s a very loyal friend & if you know her well , you’ll be dragged into an abundance of philosophical conversations that will go on through early hours in the morning over a bottle of wine & takeaway food .

okay so, winnie is actually one of six children born to donald & arwen abbott. i actually did a tiny little tree thing, mainly so i could remember her siblings names but it’s here if you’re interested.

anywho, she’s the youngest

as it turns out, the abbotts are actually part of the sacred 28, but donald married a muggleborn. i’ve hc’d that they aren’t entirely fussy about keeping the bloodline ‘pure’, they just want the abbott name to continue. her mother is welsh, that’s why all the kids have welsh names

until, when winnie was six, there was an attack on the house. (not sure who attacked them yet tbh) her parents and oldest brother, cassian, didn’t make it however, the rest of her siblings did as their grandparents arrived in time to fight of the offender.

grandparents took in bronwyn and they had to move.

this is where she met the higgs. her and anna became pretty inseparable, and the girl helped her through one of the hardest times in her life.

bronwyn tried not to let their deaths affect her too much, she was fairly young when they died and didn’t fully understand, but she does miss them terribly

when she started hogwarts, winnie was almost instantly sorted into hufflepuff

she had a lot to live up to as most of her siblings were well known, and so she was mostly known as baby abbott for years. which annoyed her.

she found a love of astronomy, and finds peace with the stars

when she was in sixth year, she started dating someone, they were all cute and shit, then it broke up and ended HORRIBLY (WC!)

hello i’m tae and this is my annoying son jaehyun who i literally birthed ?? pls love him and don’t be too mean to him even though he can be pretty mean himself. i’m in gmt+1 timezone and i love suffering & angst? i especially love it when my muse is suffering more than i am so pls hmu with those angsty plots. i haven’t been on tumblr rp for the majority of this year so pls be patient with me while i get back into the swing of things, i’m also not so good at talking about myself ooc so i’m gonna go ahead and jump into info about jae!! under the cut is just some basic outline info of his personality... full stats and some plots/potential connections will be added up shortly too. thnx for listening

hwang jaehyun, 23, concept artist and ugly fucking aquarius

(he doesn’t really have a hugely tragic background besides his parents being majorly ugly)

pls dont try to talk to him about your feelings just yet unless you want him to run away.

he struggles w/ his own emotions and can’t really handle listening to other peoples feelings bc who signed up for that? probably not jaehyun

pretty untrusting and unwilling about allowing people too close to him, i’d imagine he has some close friends but it might be difficult for new ones to get super close to him without a lot of effort on their part and proving to him that they won’t just abandon him and his friendship?? #trustissues

once you get him talking, he’ll never stop, especially if it’s about a topic he’s really interested in or feels passionately about.

works as a concept artist so most of his work is digital art atm but does a lot of freelance & commission work on the side. Knows he’s a good artist and doesn’t fuck w/ pretending to be modest about his work. dabbles in sculpting and legit painting, too but that’s mostly for freelance and commission work

pretty judgemental and finds it hard to accept that he could be wrong about something, kinda dogmatic if i’m being honest but if he likes you then he’s more willing to let it go and admit he was wrong. tho if you disagree with him about something he really thinks he’s right about or is passionate about then you can expect to see steam coming from his ears within 0.01 seconds since he gets mad pretty quickly.

generally quick to annoy but he does his best at hiding it? which brings me to the point that he usually wears his heart on his sleeve w/ people he’s comfortable with.

i guess if he likes you, not romantically but just in general, then he’s just soft as fuck

his family is wealthy upper class, living and working in seoul. they own a big chain pharmaceutical company and they wanted him to take over once his father retired, which he was originally going to do, he studied business in college for about a year before realising it made him fucking miserable and stressed and dropped out without consulting his parents.

lied about still being enrolled while actually enrolling in an arts program. originally found his passion for art during high school, where he joined an after class art club and excelled straight away. he told his parents about it but they never really took it seriously?? he even invited them to one of the schools art exhibitions but they never turned up.

this all caused them to essentially cut him off and refused to talk to him for a few years. they tried to reconnect w/ him and attempt contact with him but he rejects their calls, dodges them if they tried to visit and doesn’t visit them during the holidays or special occasions.

he has three younger sisters who he’s still in contact with though, it’s mainly his parents he wants to avoid. his fathers health is rapidly deteriorating and he’s starting to feel badly about not being in contact w/ them but *shrug* he hates them so it’s not really his issue anymore, right?

there’s a lot more angsty shit to his background but i’m not going to detail it here because it’s not info that jaehyun would just tell anyone, he’s pretty secretive about his past (for literally no damn reason) and only talks about it if he really needs to. you’ll have to get to know him to find out or wait for his full length history :3

moved to jeju to get some peace and quiet so he could work without too many stresses in his life tho *idk if thats going well for him or not* (give me a roommate plot??)

literally stays up all night long watching vine compilations and furiously playing uno on his phone instead of working (this is legit information pls take it seriously)

obviously a night owl and lives on 50 cups of coffee a day. also constantly has a bad back from being hunched over his desk 24/7

loves having a muse and someone who inspires him?? he might not be painting portraits of them all over his apartment but he def would incorporate parts of them into his character designs or just create art in general that reminds him of them

also literally tries his hardest to convince people he just doesn’t care about anything or anyone??? and u know what, sometimes he actually doesn’t care but he says it so often that it’s hard to tell when he’s being truthful about it, even he can struggle to tell at this point.

he’s very spontaneous?? moving to jeju was just a sudden decision on his part and he doesn’t really consult other people before doing stuff? he just does it and then if it goes wrong or he has to suffer consequences then ig he’ll suffer

kinda apathetic and uncaring, honestly. he doesn’t have much patience for people being idiotic and doesn’t necessarily always feel bad about doing or saying something that might hurt other people.

tho if he likes you (yes this again) he’ll probably feel bad straight away but that doesn’t mean you can expect an apology from him

if you really hurt him, he’ll probably give you another chance because he just really can’t stand the idea of being alone??? tho he won’t ever forget what you did to hurt him

i’m tired now so i’m going back to sleep but jaehyun is just a hard shell w/ a semi soft inside (i say semi soft because there’s still some push and pull even if he opens up) who needs to be loved so pls....
